It's the clock is approaching mid-night as both household looked at the clock, it's a family dinner today where everyone was required to be present. It have been a family tradition for each household to host such an event, with glamorous lights and classy music, it is also a day to remember those who died trying to protect the honor of the family.

Today was the day that Capulets are not welcome in the Montague's house, nor are the Montagues welcomed in the Capulet's house. However, each character is doing something as the new year approaches, unsure of their fate in the new year.

(OOC: You may begin writing about what your character is doing at the party, sorry about not getting this post up sooner, I was gone for a while but I am back :) )

Jace lounged in one of the large chairs that lined the halls leading to the grand ballroom. It was the ball that was held every year at the main Montague house- of course, only for the ones with actual Montague blood flowing through their veins-, and millions of dollars flowed to hosting the party every year. Large ornaments lined the walls, contrasting with the ancient and most likely stolen artifacts and expensive furniture that dotted along the walls. Everything about the house was gaudy, and to be honest, Jace hated every single thing about it. From the red wallpaper with the fleur de elise prints to the soft carpet that lined all the halls in the house; everything enforced the large frown that was permanently printed on Jace’s face. Disgust broiled in his stomach as he watched several members of the Montague family walk past, fake smiles plastered on their faces as they regarded each other coldly.

Fake cunts. He yawned, crossing his legs as he lounged on the soft red velvet couch. Jace had long since lost sight of Ev- a mishap on his side, as he had been pulled away to be informed on how one of his operations was going. Two rather tipsy teenage girls stumbled past, their voices rising over the cacophonous din that filled the hall, drawing glares from the adults and admiring, wolfish looks from other teenage males in the halls. Jace shot the two a contemptuous glance. Seems like those two bitches will be gone next. But, well, Jace couldn’t care much. If it were his job to ‘clean’ those two, he would do it without a second thought. For myself, mother and Ev. A scowl formed on his face before Jace was able to wipe it away. Sighing, he picked up the glass of champagne he had placed on the small table beside the couch he now sat on and took a long gulp, cleaning the contents within the tall, clean glass.

Standing up, Jace walked into the large ballroom. The smell of smoke and perfume rose up and clogged Jace’s nose. Laughter and shouts filled the room, as the respective Montague members interacted with one another. In a corner, Jace spotted some of the lesser Montague families- the poorer ones- banded together, away from the main events occurring near the center of the ballroom. A smirk formed on Jace’s face; he had no respect for those who didn’t try to pave their own ways to fortune and power. Like I did with my two fists. As Jace made his way through the crowd, many of the members there turned and glared at him- some with respect, others with full on hatred. They all knew whom Jace really was- he made it clear himself as he walked across the room, shoving everyone out of his way. Those who didn’t know much knew fully well that Jace was not someone to trifle with.

“Waiter!” Jace snapped, walking behind the waiter whom had a tray on his hand, weaving through the crowd slowly. “Fucking stop, God damn it. What is this you have on this fucking thing? Is it damned champagne, again?” Because I swear to fucking God, if you have no vodkaâ€Ļ” The color drained out of the waiters face as he stammered a reply and motioned for Jace to follow him through the crowd. The two weaved through the groups of Montagues before finally reaching a door. “Please, follow me.” The waiter said, respectively, looking down at the floor hard while trying to avoid Jace’s harsh glare. Opening the door for Jace, the waiter shuddered as Jace walked into the back room and into the ‘private bar’. This bar was reserved mainly only for the higher up members within the Montague family, and Jace had only been able to gain access to this room two years ago. The bartender looked up and nodded at Jace, grabbing a cup and pouring apple juice in it without Jace asking. “Fuck. Why’s it smell like the fucking high Heaven’s back in that shitty place?” Jace asked, sitting on the comfortable high chairs on the bar right across from the bartender. “It’s almost as if everyone’s either fucking, smoking, or drinking in that damned ballroom while the fucking Boss watches. Christ. Taking a gulp from his cup, Jace shook his head and sighed, pulling at his already loosened tie.

He wanted to go home and sleep rather than stay any longer in this Hell hole.

Knock, knock.
Jason looked up from his picture and turned to see his mother right behind him. “Mom, look! I drew you, Ev, and I all together!” A faint smile formed on the tired looking woman’s face- a bitter, sad smile. “Like, we were at the park, and see? You’re there swinging me on the swing, and Ev’s over there swinging on the other swingâ€Ļ

Knock, knock.
“Where the fuck are all you fucking cunts!” His father’s voice rang from the darkness, causing his mother to disperse into the air. “Mom?” Jason asked, turning around, finding himself alone in his room. “Ma!” Tears formed in the corner of his eyes as he started to run. “Come back here you little piece of shit! You aren’t any better than that adopted runt even though you have my fucking genes running through your veins!” He could hear his father’s steps coming closer even though Jason was running like he had never ran before. “Stop fucking running right fucking now!”

Knock, knock. A voice. More pounding.

Jace flipped around. Sweat budded on his face as he sat up, his eyes flying open to survey the area around him. My room. With a sigh, Jace fell back into his comfortable bed and sighed, relief filling him as a stray tear rolled down from his left eye. He had finally fallen asleep at 4 in the morning, but he knew that she would never let him sleep in any later than 11. Ev was definitely the one at the door.
“Go away, Ev.” Jace hollered, hoping that his sister would relent and let him sleep a bit longer.

Kitty looked around at the gather Capulet family. High class men and women all dressed to the nines in their best suits and dress, with stupid accessories that would of probably cost Kitty 5 years rent! This place was totally not her scene and it was pissing her off that she had been dragged her because of her stupid father who believed that she had needed to come. He was probably hoping to show her off to some ass wipe cousin or other in hopes of getting his problem child out of his hair.

Giving a small sigh, she pulled herself up from the wall she had been leaning against as gracelessly as possible. Grabbing a glass of wine off a passing waiters tray, she downed the glass in a single gulp before placing it down and making her way through the crowd towards one of the balconies.

Pulling out her phone as she got some fresh air, she pulled up her favourite GBF's number before hitting dial and waiting patiently for the guy to pick up his damn phone. Hearing the bear that signified that the call had gone through to voice mail, she tapped her foot in frustration as she waited for the stupid robot to finish its speech.

"Hay Hun, I'm a currently at the Capulet manor dying of boredom, now you have two choices. 1, ditch out on your little Montague party so you and me can got clubbing, or two, not come and I will totally gate crash. Call me back as soon as you get my message... And that better not be in the morning!", she finished off as the beep sounded again, giving another sigh she pocketed her phone and re entered the hall, swiping another wine in passing and finishing it in the same fashion as the previous one.

Now all she could do was wait for lex to call her back. Hopefully he wouldn't be a stick in the mud and leave her hanging at this boring as shit party.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Her eyes snapped open, the daylight seeping through the blinds hurt her eyes as she shot up from the bed. “Oh you’ve got to be kidding me!” It wasn’t like her to sleep late, but the sun that now hung high above the clouds gave her the hint that it was not that early in the morning. Even so, she pushed herself out of bed, barely caring for the fact she wasn’t exactly fully dressed, racing down the stairs to grab the phone with the ear-piercing ringtone. “Evelyn speaking.” She held the phone to her ears, unable to keep the morning annoyance out of her tone. “Ms. Montague,” Merely by the first two words the man spoke, she was already developing a bad feeling on the purpose of this call, “I would like to give you a reminder that you and Mr. Montague are cordially invited to the family dinner hosted at—“ She set down the phone quickly, not even waiting for the man to finish as she turned her head toward the clock. 10:50. She could not even begin to comprehend how she had forgotten about the family dinner, but then again, a lot of things were on her mind at the present time.

“Jace!” Grabbing a glass of water, Evelyn yelled up the stairs in the empty house for her brother. She had no doubt he wasn’t even up yet, not merely because no one answered the phone call, but also because her brother would not wake up early for the life of him. “Jace! Out of bed. Right now!” Knock. Knock. Knock. It took several minutes of frantic knocking for her to realize that that was completely futile.

“Go away, Ev.” A hint of smile formed on her lips as her brother hollered from his room, her head shaking in exasperation as she bent down, taking the hairpin from her messy curls and pressing it into the lock. He should have known that locks were not going to work within this household. Without too much of a fuss, the door opened with a squeak and she stomped in, pulling the blankets off of her little brother with one swift pull. “It’s family dinner today,” She announced with a hint of apathy. Truly, she did not want to go, given that she wasn’t exactly part of the family, nor did she want to be. However, her brother was, and she was not going to let him bail on another one of his family gatherings, “Come on. I’ll get you your clothe—“ She turned with a glance toward her silent brother, raising an eyebrow. Was he even listening? The answer came to her as no. Rolling her eyes, she walked forward and with a slight bend of her hand, the cold cup of water she planned on drinking trickled onto her brother’s neck. “Do not make me go for the ice bucket, Jace.” Even though she was literally a few months older than him, it always seemed as if she has taken on their mother’s role.

Tell me again why I’m even hereâ€Ļ

Evelyn put a hand over her now brushed-over curls, her olive green eyes scanning with boredom over the magnificent view of the household that now seemed so dull to the girl that has seen perhaps a little too much of this pompous scene. By then, she has already lost her brother in the crowd, all chatting haughtily over some superficial topics. While Evelyn has always taken much delight in party-planning for the households, she truly never took much enjoyment in attending it. “Evelyn!” Nope. Nope. Nope. At the sound of her name, she wasn’t going to stick around to find out who had called her name, whom she was going to place bets on to be a “cousin” she probably did not even know the name of. With a duck of her head, she mingled into the crowd of “family members”, the long sea-green dress trailed behind her as she took quick strides toward the large ballroom.

Not many people threw her much more than a sideways glance as she brushed past. The girl's dress wasn't too extravagant, especially within this crowd. However, what was strange was simply the thin book she held in her hand, titled as Shakespeare's play "Macbeth", much different to the glasses of wine and cocktails held in the hands of others. The sound of laughter and conversations were deafening in her ears, and perhaps words could not begin to describe her current exasperation at the entire situation. Seeing that her brother was definitely out of sight, she headed toward the windows up the stairs that separated the world of freedom from the household of smoke and perfume.

And I'm gone. Taking a hold of the handles of the window, she turned it slight as to discreetly open it to the cool night air. It wasn't going to be hard to make that jump, but the dress might hinder a soft landing. "Evelyn Montague. Oh... Perfect. She did not even need to turn her head to know one of the elder members of the family stood behind her with a meaningful glare. "Just getting some fresh air.. Sir. And it's Evelyn May. However, the girl was smart enough not to mention that in front of her family members, giving a hurried curtsy before she bounded down the stairs. And my plan has crashed and burned. With a long sigh, she once again maneuvered herself through the crowd, making sure to grab a small cup of ice cream from the waiter's tray along the way.

This is going to be a long night...

Lex loved his family, every last member of the ever growing Montague family tree, but when you bunched every single one of those members into one place, even he had to admit it got annoying. He couldn't count the times that someone came up to him after one too many drinks and questioned him about his sexuality, and if he would 'swing back around' if they found him a nice enough girl, cause seeing him with a guy wouldn't be comfortable. Normally Lex taught anyone who thought about spewing any homophobic shit a lesson that usually involved a back room and some choice tools to leave a permanent reminder of how to act in the future, but there were too many people, all of whom were family, so he made an exception, leaving them with a polite smile and a firm pat on the shoulder.

There wasn't much for Lex to do at the party, at the very least he occasionally had some business someone wanted him to attend to most years, but this year there seemed to be nothing. And he certainly didn't want to converse with anyone in particular. So that left him slouching in his seat at a table, watching guests walk by. At the sight of his sister entering the room he straightened up. She was family, so it wasn't as if she was out of place, but Lex could have sworn he'd been able to convince her to leave her husband and son at home. Neither of them were aware of the family business, which made it a rather tricky secret to keep when surrounded by obnoxious drunks who loved the sound of their own voice. Lex knew better than to go up and try to confront her, he'd never win that battle, he'd just have to make a note to watch out for them until they left.

It wasn't too far into the night when Lex found himself at the bar, were most men in the family could be found. He was definitely one of those men. Drinking wasn't much of a habit but more of a hobby at this point, just straight hard liquor. He absentmindedly checked his phone, seeing the text from Kitty, his forbidden Capulet friend. Lex texted her back, "1 Definitely don't come to the Montague party, 2 I'll come for you at the Capulet house cause 3 I'm better at sneaking into places than you are. I'll be there soon, and If I'm not, assume I got stuck on the gate." Lex shot back the rest of his drink, going to his car. So he really shouldn't drive after drinking but the thing was Lex had never been a lightweight so he was usually fine behind the wheel. Maybe not the best philosophy to live by but he figured he'd put himself into more hazardous situations.

He'd managed to reach the Capulet party just fine, his parking job was a mess but he didn't worry about it as he walked in though a back entrance of the house. And he only had to knock out one faculty member who seemed to point him out as not belonging, so Lex considered the party crashing a success. After dragging the incapacitated man to a chair, he went in search of Kitty, figuring he might as well grab a drink while he was there. You know, to blend in. Drink in hand, Lex scanned the crowd for his friend, wondering to himself how long it would take before someone else noticed his presence among the fair-faced, blonde sea of people.

Why did I ever expect any less from Ev. Jace let out a resigned sigh as he heard his lock click and the footsteps of his sister walking into his room. “Come on. I’ll get you your clothe-” Jace had stayed silent, trying his best not to move as he lay under his soft covers. He wanted to sleep in more- his eyes were tired from his late night work- and he hoped to God that Ev would leave due to his lack of responsiveness. Why did I ever expect her to leave me alone, in silence and peace?! Jace winced as the water poured on his neck, forcing him to jolt awake as the cold liquid splashed on his warm skin. It was Ev’s normal wake up call- her ‘so efficient’ alarm clock which Jace hated with a passion. But he knew that the next was worse- much worse than just water on the neck. “Do not make me go for the ice bucket, Jace.” He sat up immediately, his hair awry and his eyes still closed shut.

“For fuck’s sake, Ev! I’m up!” Jace grumbled some more as he rubbed his eyes, yawning widely as he did. “Didn’t I tell you last night to let me fucking sleep in today? I was damned busy last night- God-,” Jace yawned widely again, tears forming in the corners of his eyes. “-just let me rest in damned peace.” Falling back onto his pillows, Jace stretched a bit and sighed contently, as his blankets felt like Heaven and his pillow absolutely wonderful. However, before Ev could react or grab the ice bucket, Jace immediately vaulted out of his bed and walked towards the bathroom attached to his large, spacious, third floor room, wearing nothing but a pair of black boxers. “Why’d you wake me up so early?” Jace asked as he grabbed his toothbrush and lathered toothpaste onto it, while checking his reflection in the large mirror. Those bags are getting largerâ€Ļ He frowned at his reflection before moving his face forward until his nose was almost touching the mirror. Turning his head to a side, he moved a hand up and pulled at the bag under his left eye. Should probably sleep moreâ€Ļanyways, college applications are done. Standing back straight again, Jace quickly followed up his last sentence, “And what’s up for breakfast? I’m hungry. Did Michael make anything yet?”

The two Montague siblings were rich enough- on their own- to own a large mansion and hire a butler. The house itself was furnished beautifully, all three floors bright with light throughout the day. Especially Jace’s room- he lived in the attic, which in the beginning was already extremely spacious and the roof tall. After much pondering, Jace had ordered the construction company to tear down part of the roof and put on a glass window there, allowing sunlight to fall on almost every corner of his room. Michael, their butler, had been hired only a year ago or so, after Jace gave up on Ev’s cooking and when the two of them became fed up with the daily arguments about chores. Obviously, the siblings overly relied on Michael but it didn’t matter anyway. Jace paid the man a hefty amount, and he expected no less back in terms of the butler’s work and prowess.

Jace finished off his third cup of apple juice, his eyes dull with boredom as he ignored the older family members sitting on the few plush chairs in the elite bar. Sick fuckers. Shooting them a hateful glare, Jace turned to stare at the mini-umbrella that the bartender had jokingly stuck in Jace’s cup. Watch what the hell I’d do to this shitty house. I swear I’ll run it to the fucking ground. His eyes narrowed as Jace clenched his hands around his glass harder, his anger growing- until the bartender tapped the bar right in front of Jace. Jace looked up at the bartender, a scowl on his face before he calmed down; the disappointed frown on the bartender’s face made Jace feel guilty as he consciously tried to suppress the anger he had nurtured but a minute before. “Sorry.” He said, coughing a little. Though he was now calmer, Jace felt as if he couldn’t stay in the room any longer, breathing in the same air the elders of the Montague family were breathing in. Never mind that they kept on shooting expectative glances at the young mafia boss, he couldn’t help but recoil from the fat men reclining in the posh leather seats. “Make me a damned sundae, would you? I need to go fucking find my sister. Oh- and add some damned chips on a tray for me as well.”

Soon enough, Jace was leaving the executive bar with a large sundae in one hand and a platter of chips in the other. Surprising that the fucker remembers what I get just after two years. A quick survey of the crowd revealed nothing of Ev’s position for Jace. He tapped his foot against the ground, mildly impatient, as a waiter suddenly appeared by his side and took the sundae and chips. Shrugging, Jace walked along the edge of the crowd as the waiter followed right behind. Looking up just in time, Jace saw Ev bound down the stairs right in front of him and grab a small cup of ice cream. Jace laughed, as he knew that his sister must have tried to leave the venue. A quick glance outside of the large window beside him showed nothing, except- Lex?! Jace squinted out of the window as his cousin walked up to his own car and got in, driving away into the darkness. Need to found out where he’s gone laterâ€ĻIf it’s to that fucking Capulet shit houseâ€Ļ He shook his head firmly before walking up to his sister and tapping her on the back.

“An order for a large, bitchin’ sundae and a plate of chips, I believe, for this mademoiselle?”

Glancing down, Kitty felt the familiar vibration from her phone which signalled someone had texted her. Smirking at lex's text, she slipped the phone back into her bra as she grabbed another drink from a passing waiter and made her way back into the main hall, keeping a look out for that familiar mop of dark hair which stood out like a sore thumb among her fair haired 'family'...

Spotting him with a drink in hand among the crowd wasn't very difficult though he probably hadn't seen her coming. Smiling mischievously to herself, she snuck up behind him and covered his eyes and leaned in to whisper in his ear while she covered his eyes. "Who said I was bad at sneaking again?", she joked before spinning round to stand in front of him and sending him one of her signature sexy smirks. "Come on babe, let's get out of here before someone notices you obnoxiously obvious hair. You and me have a date with dancing.".

She laughed out before heading off towards the parking lot, were she could see Lex's car parked terribly and she couldn't help but snort as she slipped herself into the drivers seat and smiled innocently out he window at lex. "Your tipsy so I get to drive!, she called out in a sing song voice before starting up the engine, "Get in before I leave you behind to fend for yourself against my insanely pompous family!"

Lex was starting to feel painfully awkward among the people who seemed to know he didn't belong. No one came up to talk to him once, all he got were glances and whispers. He as fully relived when Kitty had snuck up on him, covering his eyes. Surprised, but relieved none the less. He smiled as he let himself be spun around by his friend, "Well anyone can get lucky." He rolled his eyes at Kitty's smirk, she was always flirtatious, it didn't matter who she was with. Lex never really thought about it, it was just one of her traits. "Actually, I have a date with the bar. Hell, if all goes well, I might have a date with the bartender too."

He followed her out to his car, about to refute as Kitty stated he wasn't suited to drive, but he still held the drink in his hand. Lex grumbled slightly as he went to dig the keys from his pocket as he walked around to the passenger seat, handing her his keys as he plopped into the seat, "Be gentle with her." He muttered, slinking back in the cushioned seat and drinking from his glass. "You know, you're family needs to get a better bartender for these occasions, I can barely taste the whiskey in this. If I wasn't an alcoholic I probably would have thrown it out." Lex smiled slightly, often making fun of his drinking habits, though never really bothering to do anything about them. If he had remained at the party it would be lightly that he wouldn't be talking to anyone at all, much less making jokes. His friends brought out the more talkative side of him.

"An order for a large, bitchin’ sundae and a plate of chips, I believe, for this mademoiselle?” She nearly choked on the sundae she had just placed into her mouth, turning just when she felt a tap on her back, a slight look of annoyance lingered in her eyes at the words of her brother. "How many times do I have to tell you not to curs- are those chips?" She was perhaps slightly easily distracted, but even so, she didn't take any hesitation in taking the plate from her brother, a smirk rising on her face just as she dipped the chips into the sundae as if it was common occurrence. "Oh, where have you been all my life?" She grinned as she stuffed the entire piece of chip into her mouth, giving her brother a look, "And that was to the chips by the way," She mumbled through a mouth-full of chips.

Shrugging, Jace pulled out a pack of cigarettes from inside his suit jacket and propped one in his mouth. Placing it back in, he grabbed a lighter and lit the cigarette before inhaling and then exhaling, allowing a thin trail of smoke to exit through his mouth. Out of habit, Jace took two steps back, knowing in his heart that Ev would slap him on the head for the cigarette- but it was his habit by now. "Hey, Ev. I saw our damned fucking cousin driving off in his car ." Taking another drag, he pulled the cigarette away and tapped his finger against the window he had seen Lex leave from. "Interesting that someone so fucking loyal to the fucking family would leave so early into this shit-hole of a party." Jace's comment was filled with heavy sarcasm as he glanced at his sister, his eyebrows raised, though his expression remained one of lethargy and lack of care.

It was a shame her hand didn't reach that far as her brother lit up the secret, otherwise a well-deserved smack was definitely called for against her rascal of a brother. If Jace hadn't mentioned something about their cousin, Ev would probably have taken that lighter and threatened to make a fire show out of him for the evening, but his voice distracted her, a look of curiosity rose in her eyes. Driving off? She glanced outside the window, the parking lot now missing one of the family cars. It wasn't her job to snoop around the family business, but even so, a slight hint of curiosity pushed her to pull out the phone she had placed next to the strapped gun beside her thigh. Pulling the side of her dress down, she watched as the screen of her cell phone light up with her touch. "One more curse word from you, Jace." She gave him a meaningful look and let the threat hang in the air as the phone opened to a map, a small symbol flashed in the center of the screen. "Familiar address?" Her eyes lingered on her phone before handing it to her brother, the GPS tracker she had placed on her cousin flashing its red signal on the screen.

Jace couldn't help but roll his eyes as he took Ev's phone from her and looked at the red dot blipping on the screen. "You have got to be fucking kidding me..." he muttered, not even noticing as the swear word flowed out of his mouth with his rather silent exclamation. The dot flashed on the screen- right above the Capulet house. "Why the fuck is he soliciting with Capulets?!" Jace snarled, shoving the phone back at Ev. If he's a mole... Shit. I trusted that fucker Lex. Despite his familial ties with Lex, Jace knew exactly what he had to do- and it was obvious that he wouldn't feel any qualms with taking the life of a close relative. Except- Jace's eyes flickered towards Ev.

Ev's attention was directed elsewhere and thus her brother was left off the hook for his creative use of words. "What does it matte-" She winced slightly as her phone was shoved back at her, but dismissed it with a shrug. "We're not his parents." Her nonchalant tone held a hint of curiosity, for although she could care less for the family business, the association of a Montague with the Capulets? All hell breaks loose. She glanced up just to catch her brother's eyes, cocking her eyebrows slightly, "What's on your mind?" She pushed another piece of ice cream-covered chip into her mouth just as he shook his head, feigning rolling his eyes as he waived a waiter down and told the waiter to get a cup of water. "I want to know what he's doing- but well, I suppose you're right. He is the older cousin after all..." Jace said as he placed the cigarette back in his mouth. Chewing at the base of his cigarette, Jace pulled out his cellphone and quickly typed up a message- the contents of which Ev could not see. I want you to follow my car. We're taking a trip to the Capulets. I've found our mole. He shoved his phone into his pocket while plastering on an uncomfortable look on his face as he clutched his stomach. "I'm off to the toilet." The waiter he had just flagged down returned with the water, but Jace waved him away dismissively before calling him back and flicking the used up cigarette into the clear water.

"Did... I have to informed of that..?" A look of amusement lingered on her face as her brother announced his need to relieve his bowels. Right. You do that. Although the sudden change of topic was suspicious, she nonetheless gave him a wave as she turned from him, making her way away from the crowd, keeping the sundae in her hands. Watching her leave, Jace turned and walked towards the toilet, just in case Ev decided to follow. Out the ballroom he walked, avoiding all contact and conversation with the Montagues that continued to line the halls- not that they wanted to talk with him either. Murderer. He could feel their eyes boring into his back as he opened the door to the males toilet, but Jace felt nothing but a lack of care towards the murmuring the slamming door cut off. No one was in the toilet. Jace made a straight line for the large window opposite to the door and unlocked it swiftly before pushing it out and away. Cold winter air blew forward, buffeting Jace sharply on the face. Well isn't this just fucking great.

It didn't take long for a faint smirk to form on Ev's face as she neared the window right beside another already opened window- in the females' toilet. The small movement with her fingers invited a sound of metallic clinks. Bathroom. Right? She crossed her arms briefly, her brother's car keys dangling from her fingers. Nice try. Shaking her head, she opened the window as she leaned over the edge, the cold air blowing her hair back as the melodious sound of cursing rang in her ears from a window nearby. Jace had already crawled half way down the side of the wall, his hands grimy and his hair tangled. This was one of the worst ways to leave the party. Should have gone through the front doors instead. A string of swear words leapt from his mouth as he concentrated on lowering himself further down the side of the wall, relying on the small ridges and bumps in the wall to stop him from falling to a not very lethal, but nonetheless dangerous drop. Slowly. Fucking slowly, Jace, don't fucking slip. Carefully, Jace maneuvered himself till he was only two meters away from the ground. "Should be manageable." He muttered before letting his hands go, falling to the ground, his heels hitting the grass squarely. Jace stood back up again, his legs aching dully for a moment- only to feel his phone vibrate in his pocket. Understood, boss. I'm on my way. Meet you there. He closed his phone once more, shoving it once again into the same pocket, before running across the lush grass beds of the Montague house. Fuck this place. Jace thought as he reached his car and unlocked the door, failing to see a shadow sitting on the passenger seat as he got in and started his Pagani Huayra.

It hadn't taken Ev long to get down from her window with slightly more grace than her brother, the deep green dress tainted on the edges with the dirt from the ground. She was much more agile than him, and the duplicated keys allowed her swift entrance into his overly-extravagant car. No words could describe her look of amusement when Jace entered the car, leaning back against the seat as she crossed her legs. "It never occurred to me that you used your car as your mobile toilet." Her voice rang through the sound of the engine, leaning sideways and clenching her fist, her eyes glowing with mock anger. Jace's hand that had been moving towards the compartment box jerked back as he heard Ev's voice. HIs head snapped to Ev, his eyes wide with disbelief as he saw his adoptive sister sitting in the shotgun seat right beside him. "The hell are you doing in here?" He yelled, indignation and shock interlacing in his exclamation. The fuck! How'm I supposed to get out of here now? A look of irritation flashed across Jace's face as he shook his head and turned away from Ev, hitting the steering wheel with his fist out of frustration as Ev winced at the sound. Her look of amusement quickly turned to frustration at his sudden burst of anger, leaning back against the door and crossing her arms across her chest. "Problem? Jace? Her eyes narrowed slightly at her question, but soon enough the playful smile returned, "What? You worried I'll spoil your fun with the Capulets?" She had at least guessed her brother's intentions.

"No, Ev. I suggest you get the hell out of the car- and hand me those keys you're keeping on you somewhere. This is for your own damned good." Jace frowned at his sister, the look on his face a mixture of irritation, seriousness and anger. He felt his phone buzz in his pocket, the loud noise filling the stagnant air between the two as the siblings glared each other down. However, Jace knew that Ev was not willing to back down, her eyes glancing down at his pocket at the sound of his phone. The smile was wiped from her face and a look of annoyance replaced it. "Make me. I dare you." If there was anyone that was not intimidated by her brother's stares, it was her. "And while you do that, why don't you answer your phone?" Her eyes locked with his, as if daring him to make a move. Jace kept on staring at Ev before finally sighing, pulling out his phone to quickly type up a curt message. Ev is coming along. You protect her- I'll get the mole. Looking back up at Ev, Jace shrugged and turned to sit forward in his chair. "Your choice." He grabbed another cigarette from inside his jacket pocket, lit it, and then stepped on the gas pedal, steering his car swiftly out of the packed parking lot and out onto the large street that led away from the Montague Mansion, not waiting for a second word from Ev.

"Hold your horses, what exactly do you plan on d-" Her eyes only caught a half second of his phone before he put it away, unable to catch its content. But before she could ponder on that, the car lurched forward, her eyes flickering with a hint of panic at the passing mansion. Oh, you've got to be kidding me. She pressed her back against the seat, not even for a second trusting her brother's driving skills. Then again, she hasn't trusted any forms of driving, not since her little stunt years ago. Due to his anger, Jace completely forgot about the fact that Ev was scared of driving. He pressed his foot against the gas pedal with moderate force as they rushed down the road, maneuvering the car across the road. "Check if Lex is still at the Capulet house." Jace said curtly, his eyes glued to the road. Ev was sure she was going to hurl, and if she did, she would be sure to do it on her obnoxious little brother. "W-Will you slow down!" She wasn't going to show her panic, but her hand shook as she pulled out her phone, nearly dropping it as her brother stepped down on the gas pedal. "Still there. SLOW. THE. FUCK. DOWN!" Her voice boomed in the small confinement of the car. It wasn't like her to yell, nor to swear, but she now had the feeling that they were caught in a weird revision of Grand Theft Auto.

He sighed- anyways, Jace spied a traffic light in the distance and started to press on the brake. The car rolled to a stop right behind the pedestrian crossing. "You sure? What's he doing..." He tapped his finger on the wheel for two seconds before the light turned green again. Pressing his foot down on the gas pedal once more- though this time a lot lighter- Jace drove the car down the street without any need of directions. He knew the direction to the Capulet house all too well. "Sorry bout that, Ev." Jace said sheepishly, the car at a moderate 60 mph.

"Oh, little brother..." It actually took some time for her to catch her breath, the faint wave of nausea flowing over her, "Believe me... You'll be sorry." Once I get out of the car that is... She slid down on the seat, keeping her back pressed against the seat of the chair. Ev's torture did not last long. Jace parked his car a few meters away from the Capulet mansion, from which lights and music poured out. "You stay here." Pulling out his keys, Jace got out of the car and closed the door quietly before walking up to the Capulet parking lot- or so he remembered where the flashing red dot had been when he had looked at Ev's phone. He refrained from pulling out a gun as he walked towards the Capulet mansion, his eyes darting from side to side though he knew he had men watching his back.

As if he thinks I'll actually stay in here. His words earned him a dramatic eye roll as she pulled open the door right after he was out of sight, giving the car a look of hatred as she slammed the door shut. "What are you, 007?" She grumbled impatiently as she kept her eyes on her brother. Perhaps it was the sudden tension in the atmosphere, but the gun strapped to her thigh brought her a sense of comfort. Without hesitation, she pulled the heels off and threw them beside the ground, allowing her to walk quickly across the parking lot before... Fancy seeing him here. It didn't come as a surprise for her to catch the sight of their "cousin". After all, her tracker never lies. Jace had also spotted Lex earlier, the obvious brown hair marking the man as a Montague. Walking up closer, Jace spotted a blonde standing right next to Lex, waving car keys at Lex's face. A Capulet... Walking up from behind Lex- his focus was on the man only, causing him to unintentionally ignore Ev- Jace pulled out his gun and pointed it towards Lex- though he didn't cock the gun just yet. "Turn around slowly, Lex." Jace commanded, his voice cold and hard- authoritative. From around the perimeter, he heard skirmishing, muffled yells and fighting. All this for one damned mole.

"Jace..." Her voice signaled a warning, her eyes flickered toward the gun that her brother pulled out as her hand found its way down toward her own gun strapped under her dress. "Put that down..." Her voice shook slightly in the wind. It was as if she was caught in a bad spy movie. However, the look in her eyes did not show any hint of amusement. What game are you playing here... Jace? This was not the brother she knew.

Lex always had a knack for sensing danger, he would feel the hairs on the back of his head stand. But he'd obviously sensed too late, there wasn't much to do before he could hear Jace's voice, "Turn around slowly, Lex." The smile on his face dropped. The only thing he could think was 'What's Jace doing here?' as he turned to see Jace aiming a gun at him. Ev wasn't far behind her brother, telling him to put down the gun. Lex swallowed slightly, knowing very well that being related wouldn't stop Jace from pulling that trigger. "Kitty, I want you to duck and hide, go inside if you have to. But don't call the cops." He spoke lowly so only his friend could hear him, never looking away from Jace. He slowly opened the door to the car to step out, able to hear the fighting in the distance, "Jace, what're you doing?" His voice was just as authoritative as Jace's, but managed to have a warm, caring feeling in it. Lex could feel the gun in his jacket, it was rare for a Montague not to have some sort of weapon on them, but he didn't want to- no, couldn't pull his gun on family. "Listen to your sister and put the gun down. Please." Lex glanced over to the house, from the music that could be heard even from where they stood, it was likely that a gun shot would not be easily heard. He couldn't help but be relieved by the fact that if Jace did shoot at him, his cousins would probably manage to get away before anyone called the cops.

Kitty's eyes widdened at the sudden turn of events when the young boy showed up looking to be around 16 or 17, holding a gun in lex's direction. She glanced nervously at Lex for a moment at he ordered her to go inside before glancing back at the guy as lex got out the car.

Sadly for Lex, Kitty wasn't the best at taking orders, generally having the terrible habit of doing the exact opposite of what the person ordering is ordering her to do. Put simply, instead of running inside to hide in a small ball like a baby, she got out the car as well as took a stance next to lex, sending the boy a 100 watt smile as if he wasn't waving guns around while at the same time sending lex her, Dont-order-me-around-it-never-works smile.

"So your a Montague huh?" She asked conversationally towards the guy, her easy smile still in place. "Is it really the best idea to come to a Capulet house with guns a blazing? I don't really care about what issue you have here but please, go somewhere else to finish it or else someone's going to notice your glaringly obvious hair and even more obvious guns. I'm not a big fan of causing even more trouble when it doesn't benifits me. So. Go. Sort. Out. Your. Issues. Else. Where." She enphasised the last words as he voice became slightly darker.

Now looking back in retrospect, Kitty would willingly admit it wasn't her best idea to go all snarky on a kid holding a gun who probably wouldn't have any issue shooting her brains out, but for some reason she just did that night. Maybe it was the stupid party, or her stupid family or maybe even the fact that she had gone without a snog for 1 week, a new personal record for her since she learnt about it back when she was 13.

"Lex, I want to go clubbing and if you want to stay here with your crazy and trigger happy family than be my guest, just don't start a shoot out on the Capulets lawn. Dad already hates me enough, I don't need to be a murder witness as well." She said the last bit with a bitter sigh before making her way back towards the car and slipping into the seat, turning on the ignition and setting it into drive. Rolling down the window so that she could see the small group of Montagues, she raised a delicate eyebrow at them before speaking again. "So what's your answer? Spend the night out here where you will debatably try to kill each other. Or, come to the club downtown where me and Lex were planning to go for some hard drinking, dancing and optional sex depending on how hot the guys are." She finished with a cheeky smile directed at lex, sending the other boy and girl a flirty smile in the process without even realising she had don't it. What? Flirting was in her blood.

"Not now, Evelyn." Jace muttered, still keeping the gun trained on Lex. Jace ignored the Capulet girl, his eyes fixed on Lex. "What're you fucking doing here, Lex, you piece of shit." His eyes narrowed as he watched the older Montague, his mouth pulled in a frown. Men started to show up, surrounding the four standing in the parking lot- a mixture of both Capulets and Montagues. However, Jace's sister was not about to let the Capulet girl off easily, her eyes suddenly blazed with a sense of distaste at the promiscuous blonde on the side. Her thoughts took a venomous turn at the blonde, her eyes narrowing for a second before her fingers found the edges of her gun. A swipe of her hand was enough to slide the gun out of its holster under her dress, and her look darkened with the weapon that now felt so foreign in her hands. Ever since their father's death, she hasn't touched a weapon. However, her attention was momentarily distracted by the sudden outpour of men around the group, her eyes flickering toward the others. "Jace. What the hell is the meaning of this?" She was going to let the Capulet off for a second as she deals with her brother, taking one step back as she trained the gunpoint on one of the men.

He waved a hand and the men immediately took a few steps back away from the scene. "Calm down, Ev. It's nothing. I just need to have a...nice little fucking talk with our most tragically related cousin, here." A cold smile flickered onto Jace's face as he cocked the gun that felt too familiar in his hands. Jace's eyes turned as one of the men referred to him respectfully, bowing sharply before walking up to Jace. "May I...?" The man asked Ev as he walked past her, his head bowed in a subservient way as he motioned towards Jace who stood but a few paces ahead. "S-Sure..." Evelyn took a suspicious glance at the man who appeared to mean them no harm, the tensions slipping slightly out of her hand as she lowered the gun, taking one sideways step as to get out of the man's way when he walked up. However, it was that moment that she caught in the corner of her eyes the smile of the Capulet girl, a look of utter dismay dawned across her expression. Did you just flirt with my brother?! The tension on her hand rose with her sudden anger at both the situation and the cocky smile of the blonde, the gun rose with a steady motion, not at the men this time but at the girl in front of her. "I'm going to establish the fact that no one flirts with my brother." Her words were coated with venom. She wasn't going to pull that trigger, no matter how good of a shot she was, but she was not about to let that blonde off with that flirty smile. Especially not to her little brother.

Jace did not see the gun his sister now trained onto the Capulet girl, as he kept his on Lex. However, a man walked up and tapped him on the shoulder and spoke low into his ear. Jace nodded and asked, "Did you inform the old man?" The other man nodded quickly. "He is extremely unpleased...and is preparing to come here this minute."[/color] Jace's eyes widened as he wheeled around, grabbing the lackey by his collar, slamming him against a car. "Damn it, you stupid fuck! I told you to inform him, not fucking make him start a damned war with the Capulets!" He let go of the man's collar and turned around only to see Ev's gun trained on the Capulet girl- and the Capulet men whom stood behind her with their guns trained on Ev's back. A sigh escaped his mouth as Jace rubbed his forehead with his hand. This is exactly why I kept the family business away from her. Raising a hand up, he waved the men away, nodding curtly as he walked over towards Ev. Grabbing the gun with his hand, he lowered it slowly, his expression grim. "Ev, lower your gun." He said clearly, allowing the men to hear them clear as day. He knew that the Montague men were itching to raise their guns as well. But we cannot do anything rash yet. This is not our territory. His eyes flashed, Lex all but gone from his mind.

Her eyes flickered toward her little brother when his hand pressed on hers, reluctantly lowering the gunpoint away from the Capulet girl. Evelyn had not seen the men that trained their guns on her, nor did she care really. However, at this moment, she took a deep breath, turning her attention toward Jace. However, if the Capulet girl was going to try anything like that again, she was going to give her a warning shot. "Answers. Jace. I want answers." Usually she spoke to her brother in a tone of disproval, but at the moment, her voice was filled with worry, not for the situation but for what her brother was doing. This scene was all so unfamiliar. Some of the men she recognized, but only faintly, from those that worked closely with her "parents", but why Jace has them as his lapdogs was completely out of her range of understanding. Jace shook his head, unable to tell Ev anything yet. "I will tell you later." He stated quietly as he turned and walked away from Ev, "And this was exactly why I told you to stay back at the Mansion." He projected his voice enough for only Ev to hear, but he knew that some of the others gathered around them could read his lips. Plastering on a smile that did not extend to his eyes, Jace once again walked up towards Lex, intent on leaving Capulet grounds before anything happened.

"Lex, if you would please just fucking follow me, I will explain why I am here." He smiled at the taller, older Montague, though nothing but irritation and urgency coursed through Jace's body. Was the elder here? A quick glance at the road said that he hadn't, but time was running out. It didn't take long to travel from the Montague Mansion to the Capulets' large resort. "I will say that I am doing this for your safety at the risk of my fucking-," He pointed his thumb towards his chest as he leaned towards his cousin, his eyes menacing, "-life. Along with Ev's. So if you would just please move your fucking arse and follow m-?" But just as the words flowed out of his mouth, a row of black cars came to a screech on the road in front of the Capulet House. Jace looked at the cars, a deep sigh leaving him. "Well, fuck."

My life? What about my life..? Evelyn took a few steps toward her brother when he spoke his words, her hand rising to deliver a small smack to the back of her brother's head. "Swearing. Jace. Don't make me get the ice buck-" Her words were cut off when the screeching sound made her turn her head. Perhaps she was smart earlier to take off those heels, by the looks of it. "I'm going to take a guess and say that we're not going to like whoever's about to walk out of those cars.." And perhaps she was losing it to not feel an ounce of fear, but simply an utter dismay and annoyance at the situation. Jace did not reply as he watched a suited man open one of the car doors- Darren, one of the few ean Jace had to call 'boss'- and walk towards the limosine that led the line of black cars. Commotion could be heard from the Capulet resort as the grand doors that led to the large marble landing opened up, men holding guns quickly spewing out from the halls and into the parking lot. "God fucking damn it! All of this for two stupid fuckers!" He turned to watch as the limosine door opened. A thin female leg was stuck out of the car, the hot pink heel bright in the dark background of the car. The woman hobbled out of the car wearing nothing but ripped stockings and a Playboy bunny suit, falling to her feet, obviously intoxicated. Behind her, a well-dressed man appeared, a cigar dangling in his hand as he surveyed the area. Pater familias... Though he was far away, Jace could see a smirk on the middle-aged man's face as the entourage behind the Montague's Pater Familias started to walk towards the group in the middle of the parking lot.

Leaning towards Ev, Jace muttered, "Go back to the car. I don't want you anymore involved in this fucked up business than you already are." However, his voice only earned him a roll of the eye from his sister, raising her eyebrow to give him a look of mock disbelief. But even so, she wasn't stupid, taking a few steps back away from the woman she saw fall out of the car. What in the living hell is this...? Her eyes trained on the woman, a tinge of pity rising in her throat. Perhaps it was her own pride that kept her standing her ground, but she wasn't about to leave her brother alone in this, despite the fact that her brother already seemed familiar to the situation. Her hand shook for a second as the gun pointed upwards again, though not directly trained at the group in front of her. Whoever they are, she didn't trust them, and her actions did hold antagonistic movements. Jace groaned as he saw Ev raise her gun at nothing in particular again. He placed his hand on it once more and forced it towards the ground, this time stepping in front of her. "Ev. If you are not ready to actually shoot at someone, I'd suggest you put that gun down." Unfortunately, her brother was right, and with a shaky breath of air, Evelyn forced her hand to remain still under her grip. A quick glance behind Ev's head showed Jace the Head of the Capulet family standing on the ledge, surveying the arriving Montagues, his head held high as he mirrored the smirk on the Pater Familias's face.

"Jason Montague!" Jace quickly turned and took a step forward towards the incoming group of Montagues, with Darren at the head. "Boss." He replied, his voice flat as he bowed towards the man, worry filling his heart as Darren's footsteps grew closer. "Where's the family traitor, son? Darren asked, "And stand up straight. I told you I can't stand this formality shit." Slowly, Jason stood straight, cold sweat flowing down his back as he met Darrens's eyes.

Lex hadn't wavered in his position standing next to the car, keeping an emotionless mask he'd grown accustomed to wearing as he kept his eyes on Jace, "That's not any of your business Jason." He stated, not quite sure if he could just spill the beans and tell them that his best friend just so happened to be a Capulet. His eyes widened slightly as Ev pulled a gun on Kitty, "Ev, don't. Kitty didn't mean it." Was all he could manage, slightly in shock at the sight of his cousin pulling out a gun, mainly because he thought she didn't get involved with these kinds of things.

He just began to notice the crowd of men gathered around them, glancing back to Kitty in the car. Lex's attention snapped back to Jace as he over heard the conversation between him and this man. He watched Jace make Ev lower her gun, allowing Lex to relax a little bit more. He looked down to his cousin as he walked up to talk to him, "Jace, what are you even ta-" Lex's head snapped over to the black cars, swallowing down a lump in his throat as he recognized the plates. The little tidbits of information he'd been over hearing didn't help him understand what the hell was going on. Lex was obviously worried, going over to Jace and Ev to get some kind of answer to the many questions whirling around in his head.

But he didn't get a chance to speak as he recognized Darren coming out of the car. He adjusted his jacket, standing stiffly as he dropped any expression from his face. "Boss." He said almost instinctively as Darren walked up and spoke to Jason. Lex felt the final piece of information fall into place in his head, They think I'm the mole. Lex felt as if his stomach dropped. All he'd ever been was loyal and now they were going to accuse him of this? He was quickly filled with anger and frustration, looking to Jace. He felt betrayed that his family would think that lowly of him, Lex knew he couldn't just speak out now, and even if he did, no one would listen, so he stayed silent, starring holes into the side of Jace's head.

((Sorry for the technically short post, I just can't really keep up with these huge posts easily))

Kitty watched the situation take to major steps to hell in the matter of seconds. Shit hit the fan, shit got real and every other metaphor that included the word shit and a rapid escalation could be used to discribe this situation and kitty wasn't like it very much! But then again she wasn't going to speak up again considering they had a freaking, crazy-in-the-brain, over protective sister with a brother complex that had a gun that had been pointed in her direction and seemed ready to fire... Great...

"Hay lex, I have a phycologist on speed dial that could give you a brilliant rate for your family's anger management classes... Or I can get them a dictionary which would tell them the meaning of being stealthy and discreet is not alerting the entire Capulet house to their little spat, bring in some old guy with a limousine and you know, just generally starting shit with their obnoxiously loud voices." She whispered into lex's ear while giving miss crazy and her trigger happy, mafia boss of a brother her What-the-actual-fuck-is-wrong-with-you look.

Besides from Misses crazy moment of "Let's all play fire practice with the poor, defenseless blond chick." no one seemed to be actually giving her a second glance which made it a good idea to run the fuck away before the sister actually decided to use the weapon she was holding... Kitty didn't like her odds.

"Would it be cool with you if I made a run for it... In the opposite direction from this family of yours? I will meet you down at the usual place off main." She mumbled again as she began her slow movement in the opposite direction, her steps slow and silent from all her years practicing being light on her feet and dancing. She could also deliver a swift punch or kick if anyone of those Montague siblings or their minions come after her, not to mention she wasn't afraid to break a few bones as long as it ensure she didn't end up with a few rounds through her brain.

"Shit going down on the front lawn. Montague idiots decided to start shit. Not my fault." the message was brief but she knew her father would get the message. Capulets might be businessmen, but you didn't survive a feud with a mafia family with out a few tricks up your own sleeves. "Capulet forces will be flooding here in 2 seconds. Meet me on main in one." she sent off the second message to Lex's phone as she finally made it out of firing range and the sound of helicopters entered the air, police sirens going off in the distance and the marching sound of solid boots hitting the wooden floors inside the house as Elites exited the doors, dressed to the nines and all wealding heavy guns.... It's safe to amuse that the Montagues might of been a little out numbered and out matched but then again your never know.

"Thanks Kitty. Your mother and I will be talking to you about your little rondayvoo later, currently you are expected to return to the ball room or else we will send men to retrieve you.", she could literally hear her fathers cold tone seeping though the message and withheld her sigh of exasperation. Leave it to the Montagues to ruin her night of drinking, dancing and just getting fucked up... Now it would be spent under her annoying fathers firm gaze and probably some unpleasant punishment that should never be repeated to anyone else.

"Thanks assholes. Try thinking of others for a change and not your next fucking adrenaline hit." She grumbled to herself as she made her way back to the main house with slow, resigned steps.
