Samantha Barns Wellington's Story

Leslie gaped as Zephan was dragged away. She turned to Lacross. "What do you think he did? And who's that lady? I wonder how she knows Zephan..." As Zephan spoke quickly, she nodded. "Okay, see you later."

Leslie glared at Miss Wellington's retreating back. "What's that got anything to do with me? I really couldn't care less." She turned to Zephan. "You destroyed a camera? Be more careful, yeah? What's that lady got with you anyway? She seemed pretty pissed." Lacross suddenly turned and hurried off. "Bye," Leslie muttered to his back.

Camellia caught Miss Wellington by the shoulder. "Hey, be more gentle with the inmates here, please. They've got wills of their own, you know. I know that you dislike Zephan, but you shouldn't pick on him, please." Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Lacross hurrying towards her.

Lacross stopped in front of Ms.Darrell, panting as he set his bag down. "Sorry if....I intrrude, but I need to ask you about something." He said, trying to catch his breath in between. He took out a couple of smaller bags from the main one, pulling out a couple hand made necklaces, cut and raw gems, unbroken and broken geodes of all sizes, small animal skulls, large beads and several bare necklaces. "I'm not sure if anyone told you, but I work on jewelery small scupture a lot and most of these I use in them, I break these myself and..." He started to trail off into rambling until he finally took a deep breath. "I guess what I'm trying to say is, Can I work on my craft and if I can what can I keep and what will you take? I'm just trying to make sure. If I sit and do nothing...things...happen." Lacross broke eye contact with her when he said 'happen'

His nails, scales and eyes where not for show to him. He had always had to keep a tight leash on himself for as long as he could remember. He gave a quick glance at Ms. Wellington and started to fiddle with the skull center piece of his most prized necklace, hoping the most precious of his creations would not be taken away.

Leslie half-smiled. "Um, I like to play the piano, and I can sing. I also like to write stories... but I've never shown anyone," she muttered. It was true, Leslie didn't usually show off her talents. Not many people appreciated them, anyway. Leslie tried to change the subject. "How about you?"

At that moment, Charlotte came up and introduced herself. I'm Charlotte. Charlie if you like. Leslie nodded, and was just about to take Charlotte's hand when Zephan started speaking. Leslie smiled and sat back, listening to Zephan. He's quite the charmer. A thought strayed into Leslie's head.

Camellia stared at Samantha. "Alright then. Just don't be too harsh, okay?" She checked her watch, "Oh, no! I've already called the blood bank. You remember Felope?" Camellia lowered her voice. "She's a vampire, and though she's promised that she won't bite anyone, she does need blood. Could you please go over to the blood bank and collect the blood they've prepared for her? It won't take long, and I don't want to leave the inmates now. Please?"

Suddenly, the Lacross kid rushed over and asked about his diamonds. Camellia considered him for a moment, then smiled. "Sure, Lacross. As long as it keeps you in check. Show me your masterpieces sometime?"

Vampirity listened to Camellia and looked at Samantha. She was holding her uniform, standing in the shadows, listening for the news on her blood for she was getting quite hungry. It had been three weeks since she last drank blood, that's how long it took to get here. Normally, she would drink every night but now, she would drink every two weeks or whenever she couldn't control it, every week. She missed the Circus a lot but she knew she wouldn't return to them ever again probably. That made her sad but whenever she got the chance to return to the Circus, she would take that chance.

Leslie looked down. Why does he praise me so much? I don't think I'm that awesome... Her thoughts trailed off in her head. She looked up at Charlotte. "It's nice to meet you Charlotte, I hope we get along well." She turned to Zephan. "Um, do you mind if I go check out my room first?"

Camellia watched Samantha walk out of the gates. Her gaze didn't move until Samantha was well away from Rosewood. "I don't like the way she picks on Zephan..." she muttered to herself.

Vampirity was waiting in the shadows of a nearby tree. She could only think of the blood now and wouldn't think of anything else untill she would get it. She could already taste it. Though she liked the hunt, she wouldn't do that here, she promised the staff here. She looked at her fingertips with the scars.

Vampirity stepped from the shadows and grabbed the bloodbag, looking at it with hungry eyes, licking her lips as if she could already taste the crimson red liquid in her mouth. She smelled it and almost got lost, staring at the bag with blood, thinking of how it would taste. She looked at Miss Wellington and said, "Thank you." She looked around before walking back to the shadows and climbing into the tree she used to sit in, she could see everything from that point. She smiled and puts it away in a pocket in her dress and continued to watch Leslie and the others.
