âWeapon Nameâ
[ Siren's Song ]
âWeapon Descriptionâ
[ Siren's Song, like many huntress designs, is a multitude of weapons packed into one small package. On one end there is a hook, for grabbing, pulling, slashing or maiming. On the other, it can function with the blunt metal end as a hard-hitting club, or by using her semblance to provide a keen, axe-like cutting edge.
The bow to Siren's Song is what gives it long range capabilities, using dust-infused rosin to create a variety of effects when played. It can either modify or strengthen an existing attack, provide benefits to her allies, or even be used to strengthen herself with a variety of tunes. It can also be used alone as a cutting or slashing weapon, provided there is the modified rosin on the hairs.]
âDust Typeâ
[ Natalie uses all types of dust available to her - so long as she can prepare it into rosin beforehand. ]
âArmorâ
[ None, she has a variety of other ways to keep herself from harm. ]
âSemblanceâ
[ Melody | Any music, song, or remotely rhythmic noise that Natalie can create can conjure a variety of effects from her aura. Any instrument, and even her voice can be used as tools for her semblance, with the effect, target, and strength depending on the quality, style, and tempo of her music. She can also use her dust-based rosin as an amplifier for her semblance, though it only works with Siren's Song.
In order for her to use her semblance, it seems to require a certain minimum of concentration. ]

Natalie was born to affluent, philanthropic parents, who tended to be rather generous with their hard-begotten gains. Of course, these two parents were often away either amassing their small fortunes - or giving it away, leaving Natalie with a trio of much younger siblings. Nannies nor babysitters were not hired once Natalie was old enough to supervise her siblings alone, and while they usually didn't want for much, she found herself performing many of the duties that should have befallen her parents. She attended games, plays - often ferried her siblings to school. And in doing so, she sacrificed her own education. She was often truant from school, got in trouble often and did not pay attention to many of the lessons. Of course, she never failed musical classes - music was in many ways an escape for her as she grew older, and she both honed the talent that her voice and hands could provide.
After a while - and as much as she hates to admit it - she sought an escape. She had heard of huntresses growing up and envied their freedom, wanted their sense of purpose. She spent the following years attending classes (to say it was in secret would be a lie - her folks truly did not notice - though, she had always justified it by the fact they never really asked her or even paid attention to what she did most of the time).
When she turned sixteen, she left. It broke her heart to do so - for she did love her siblings, but she would not be their caretaker until they were all sent off. She left for Signal Academy, trying twice before she was accepted. While there, she learned the basics of a variety of weapons, spears, bows, swords, but she found a special affinity for the axe. She appreciated the crude, powerful strikes, loved the fact it required no finesse. Her music was an outlet for finesse and skill, but physical combat was an outlet for a many other things - not all of them positive. Though dim at times, she was always nearly top of her class - but never good enough to be number one. While there, she designed Siren's Song from the remnants of her old violin, fashioning it with aid of a few kind hunters and huntresses.
After a few years, she was allowed to participate in missions, and she was rather aggressive. The vanguard of every fight, recklessly throwing herself into the middle of a fight. Though this reckless style of combat did not last long, before she was nearly killed by a spider-like Grimm, in addition to losing an ally from her carelessness. She lost her eye, and spent more than a few months recovering - and not only physically. Following the incident, she was careful - calculated in her movements. Even timid, at times. She would prefer to wait in the back, helping a teammate attack, or protecting another should they fail. She didn't again seek the limelight.
