She lied. She lied to her parents and friends where she was going for her senior trip. She wanted this to be perfect and didn’t want anyone to ruin it for her. This was the icebreaker of big adventures for her. The week before she carefully made sure everything was in place; she got the maps for the island and kept track of the weather. Everyone had chipped in for the camping gear (or what was needed for the extra people that Constant didn’t have with him.) She and Evelyn had gotten the enough food for the trip and then some. Aaron brought his camera and the water, plenty of it. Officer Stevens had planned to take one of the police department’s boats, but when they got to the boat she had a camel back, her side arm, a backup side arm and before they left she pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a long and slow drag before starting the boat and driving off.

The night air was a little colder than what Aila had planned it to be. It nipped at her bare skin that wasn’t covered by cloth and caused her to shiver. It would normally take about 5 minutes to get to the island but since they had to sneak around it took close to fifteen minutes. Stevens would stop the boat when she heard someone coming and the light was always off. The boat ride was a quiet one. If Aila was any more excited she would become a firework show. She squinted her eyes to try to see the island better before they got to the shore. It was bit of a rough landing, the boat at one point seemed like it was going to crash and sink, but thankfully Stevens saved the night by jerking the boat to one side. That is when Aila took a closer look at her. She was moreâ€Ļmanly than most of the women she has seen on the force. She remembered when Aaron took her and Evelyn to meet Stevens. Aila was taken aback by her, but never fully took her in. If anything she was slightly scared of her.

Carefully stepping out the boat she surveyed the area with only a little light from the moon. The trees swayed eerily as a light breeze swept over the island. Aila smiled at what she accomplished so far. She was not really worried about finding ‘ghost’ but it was the only way to intrigue Constant and the others into going. The only one she didn’t know why they tagged along was Officer Stevens, no one really told her so she shrugged it off. She was here. She was finally here. Turning around she looked back at Stevens and the two boys hiding the boat and her sister watching their backs. It almost felt like they were sneaking out of jail. With a smirk she took out her small flashlight and looked over the map. “Now, where to go from here?”

((This is the map we will be using during the WHOLE RP. Remember that the island is filled with trees, long grass, and broken buildings so it is easy to get lost. The red X on the map is where we landed and will be the color of the group. If you get separated from the group make a different color X as to where you are going and post the picture into your post. You CAN post pictures of the island that you are at. EX: The building you found or if you are at the docks. If you can’t find a picture that is okay, you DO NOT NEED one. Thanks and have fun! :D))

She was at serious risk for getting into trouble if they found out that she was using one of the department's boats. Luck would have it that she knew the person in charge of keeping track of them. It was already written in the books as being down for maintenance; which was already performed. She only asked to delay having it marked down as operational again. No one will question the empty space at the docks as long as the paperwork was filled out properly. They wouldn't think check to see if its at the shop being worked on. Why was she risking suspension for a little joy ride to an island off limits? For no other reason than to help Aaron in return for what he did for her before she became a police officer. The risk would be low as long as she could depend on getting in and out without incident. Still, she couldn't help but light a cigarette to ease some of the tension she felt while driving the boat in the dark to the island.

That is why she came with a few, supplies. If anyone got hurt she wouldn't be able to call for help without arousing suspicion. A spare officer's uniform is stashed away on the boat 'just in case'. She also brought a first aid kit inside her camelback which not only carried water but had extra room for a long handled flashlight, some energy bars, extra cigarette packs and ammo clips which went with what she was concealing under her jacket. It wouldn't be impossible if there were wild dogs on the island or even squatters. The gun fire might be heard, at least if they were near the coast, but she would rather that than allow anyone in the group get attacked or injured. All of this left her in a serious mindset even though she was also rather excited about the excursion.

It didn't occur to her until she noticed Aila stare at her, on more than one occasion. She wouldn't be surprised if at least one other person was doing the same. She wasn't too bothered by it. It wasn't new for her to be stared at so she ignored her. She was a rather sheepish girl so she figured that it was best to leave her alone. Liz took notice of her shivering. Strange that Aila didn't bring something to keep herself warm. She had to have known that they were going to be there at night.

Officer Stevens shrugs it off and finishes pulling in and hiding the boat with Constant and Aaron. With a roll of tape in hand she follows the only light in the area that can be seen for a couple miles. She stands so that her body blocks a lot of the light from being seen from the coast. They had just gotten there and already finds herself having to find a way to keep them from being seen. "We could follow the coast but our flashlights are at risk of bein' seen. Best bet is to head straight in until we hit that path." She points to the drawn pathway on the map. "That way we can either follow the path if its not too overgrown or we can head further in. And we can use this so we can find our way back in case we get separated or something goes wrong." She holds up the brightly colored tape. She then leans over to Aila and whispers. "Try not to use the light until we're further in, we'll be seen." Her voice was low and slightly graveled from smoking. She didn't say it to scare the girl...maybe a little, but only to let her know just how important it was not to get caught.

Stevens then takes the tape and ties one end of it it to a sapling nearby leaving the other side, still wrapped up on the roll to spin freely in her hand. Like in the story Hansel and Gretel left a trail of bread crumbs to find their way back. Only birds wouldn't be able to eat through this. She depended on the fact that no one else would be around to tamper with it.

Constant was relatively calm when the boat began to coast its way over the waters. Though, as it drifted further and further, deep within the hallow chasms of his gut, arose the feeling of excitement deeply layered with fear. Sneaking off to a forbidden haunted island was enough to really get the adrenaline streaming through his veins. His limbs began to shake, but it definitely was not the chill bothering him as much as his current mindset. He'd assume that everyone was as apprehensively excited as he was. As that thought somehow made it's way into his mind, he began to look around at everyone else to find some form of comfort. Not exactly sure that would do the job, though.

To discard from his mind what was irritating him, he decided to check the items he had in his pack. Pulling it from his back, he'd somehow wish he had a larger one at his disposal. This would suffice anyway, so it didn't really bother him much. Opening it up, he first tried to look down into it; which was of course like trying to stare into a deep pit that was vacant of any light. With this realization, Constant's hand delved down into the pack. Didn't take long for him to graze up against a couple of things. He pulled them out just enough to identify them in what little light was available at the time. Flashlight, matches, small knife, a few bottles of water, granola bars, bed sheet and a sleeping bag was all he could fit. Contemplating on the things he brought, he somehow felt ill-prepared.

Getting there didn't take as long as he initially anticipated. He was a bit startled by the jerking of the boat, but it pulled him back into reality as he began to zip his pack back up and sling it back onto his shoulders. He vaulted off of the boat and began to assist the two others in pulling in and hiding the boat. After finishing that task, he sort of strolled off to the side for a moment, till he looked back, to see Officer Stevens pointing out where to go from their current position. Curiously he quietly made his way back to them, and stood close enough to at least hear what she was saying, but of course without trying to interrupt her in some way.

Cain

The night air was still thick from the coming and going of the afternoon, the suns setting had caused a deep mist on the bay as the boat from the mainland strode through to ground. But that was not all that was present, a multitude of eyes and ears were on them from the moment they were in sight of the shore and even now there presence was garnering more attention then either of them could possibly know. Things that both walked and crawled were now watching and to make matters worse there was now a dark little form crawling its way through the forgotten halls of the desecrated hospital, down past countless door, through pipes and boilers alike to a greatly hidden room. This room had no walls for windows, nor no space for standing or but it was there. Beyond the end of the hospitals depths and the creature stood silent as it stopped its approach.

As it sat there words could be heard, slight and hushed but words non the less. It spoke in whispers for there was only one who was intended to hear.. and he could hear. The wall of the passage began to shift and roil like the bottom of the sea as a form pushed its way forth from the stonework and a it was that the man known as Cain appeared. His clothes still that of one of the hospitals priest, pristine and well kept save for the light touch of lipstick on his collar.
It was then that he looked down at the small dark mass and spoke, his voice deep and putrid knocking rust and grime from the walls. "Guest?.. My that does sound nice.. It has been such a long time, gather the others and keep watch on them.. I will prepare." The small creature gave no affirmation of what it was told, save for its quick revers and speedy retreat back the way it came. Its dark small bloated body gliding across the floor like a grease slick droplet of water down a plate of glass.

Smiling, Cains form seeped back into the wall with that same sickly expression he could be heard.
"Such a time for guest.. time to play.. a game.." His body was consumed slowly back into the pitch shade of the stonework and the upper levels could be heard groaning in pain, as if the building were alive and a cancer was working its way under the skin. But it was Cain, his attention was now focused on preparing everything for these new "Guest" he so lovingly called them and that was never a good sign for anyone alive or dead.

The night winds were chilly, and the fog was out, but Aaron didn't mind. Actually, it reminded him of back home. Not the boat or the dark waters, but the...atmosphere, he decided to call it. Like driving through the mountains early in the morning, before the sun came up and all you could see before you was a black smudge of road somewhere beyond the cool white fog. Thoughts like this are what kept his mind off the fact that he and the others were gathered in a small, somewhat stolen boat, heading out across the open water to a supposedly haunted, run down hospital on an island where countless people had died, or at least come close to it. Really it wasn't the island that bothered him, or even the water, which he didn't care much either. Somehow his idea had spiraled out of control and spread to his friends. Upon hearing about the island all he wanted to do was sneak off and take a look around by himself, maybe do a little Blair Witch project with his camera or something. Now he had all the others to look out for.

There was a small shudder in the boat as they went across a wave made from the wave of their vessel nearing the shore.

Shaking the thoughts from his mind slightly he step out into the water and helps bring the boat ashore, then with Constant and Liz he gets the boat into the cover of some shrubbery and as the others turn to look at the map he covers it up with a few sticks and limbs and such. Once that was done he shifts his bag to a more comfortable position on his shoulders and makes his way over to the group just as the good officer moved to keep the light from being seen as well.

"I'll follow your lead wherever you decide to go." Aaron says, one hand holding the strap of his backpack, the other places around Eve's shoulders. "I brought extra batteries for the camera. It's got a night vision mode, so if you want-" His words are cut off as a slight shiver rolls down his spine. Closing his mouth his eyes narrow a bit and he looks around, listening carefully. After a moment when nothing happens he sighs and resumes talking. "As I was saying, point me in a direction and I can see through the camera and lead us that way, save flashlight life."

Aaron had brought an old camping back pack from back home in the mountains of the south. It was large enough to carry just about everything one would need for camping, with several attachments for things like the tent, water bottle holders, and so on. Tonight it had three liter bottles of water, two extra camera batteries, a flashlight, some candles, a spool of string... A lot of random, potentially useless or lifesaving things really. His father had taken him camping before, and while he hadn't brought a tent or alot of the other things he would have for a camping trip, he had brought all the things he had found were useful to have in addition.

Eleanor paused her gardening to listen to the wind. Something was happening, she could feel it. It wasn't a good thing, either, but then when was it? Her "garden" to the outsider looked like just a bunch of deadheaded flowers, but to an observer who could float and look at it from just the right angle, it was a complex pattern. A newspaper had come in once with a big picture of what they called Nazca lines. Eleanor had been fascinated, as so little of the outside world came in without the unwanted side effects. She began making her own patterns in the dead and dying brush, and it took her a while to get it just right but when she did she had a full-blown hobby to pass the long years. She only made them when dancing without a partner grew tiring, or poking through the nooks and crannies of the island made her remember too much. Nonetheless Eleanor had managed, at least in her own mind, to make some rather pretty patterns, even if it was just for her own amusement. The one she was most proud of looked like one of the french lace doilies that someone she once knew had collected, but only from a very precise angle at the right time of day. The more complicated the pattern and the harder it was to see the whole design, the more fun she had.

Humming a little, she went back to her pattern. Something about it wasn't quite symmetrical, and it was bothering her. The only downside to her little hobby was that if she cut something wrong, that was it. Eleanor would have to start over somewhere else. So she put her scalpel away and walked back, floating up and a little to the right, to take a good look at the design. Ah ha! Quickly floating over to the left side of the design, she delicately took out her scalpel from her small black purse, her arms up to above her elbow covered in black gloves, and pruned three blades of grass. Then she returned to her previous position to check if that had fixed the problem. "I dig it!" she said in her half-faint, high voice, as sweet as her face. But before she could return to finishing the pattern itself, something crawled out from under a bush, something that in no way belonged to the nature around it. It didn't need to say anything, and she couldn't remember if it had ever talked before. It might have, but her memory depended on her mood and whether or not she was paying attention to the passing of days.

"Oh, dear," Eleanor said, watching it slither away. "It looks like he's going to rattle some cages. Maybe the newcomers will split early enough?" She asked herself, but the strain of hope in the line was faint. They usually didn't, and that never meant anything good. Sighing, she put her scalpel back in her purse and drifted off to where he usually wanted her, to wait for further instructions. She couldn't help but do a few swing steps on the way, and a couple of twirls with her wide green skirts, to keep her heart up. Or, rather, her spirits, but it seemed too sadly ironic for a spirit to try to keep her spirits up.

Aila stood very still and nodded. She hurried and turned off the light before turning to everyone. “Okay, I think once we get to Tuberculosis building we split. Constant and I will go to the house right next to it, see if it is suitable to maybe set up camp in there. Just don’t go too far into the building, it is dark and you can easily get lost.” With that she gave Stevens a confidant nod, even though she was freaking out on the inside, and headed straight.

The grass was up to her knees, as she walked she would turn her head to see if everyone was following. Aila was scared she ends up leaving the group behind and get lost. As much as she loved to be here, she would hate to get lost at night. Stopping for a second she turned fully around and decided it was a good time to turn on the flashlight. As not to get caught she turned back toward where she was heading and turned on. Just as she felt the grass was tall. The trees were uncomfortably close.

To her the island seemed strangely quiet except for them. Shouldn’t there be at least crickets Or the sound of New York? Even at night New York was noisy, it seemed like the only way to get away and would be to leave the state. Licking her lips she pushed the thought away and flashed the light around. Aila could see the top of a building, which she assumed was the Tuberculosis building. “Okay I think we have about a few yards leftâ€Ļand it seems to get thicker the closer we get. Be CAREFUL and try not to get lost.” She spoke as she chugged along into the thicket. It was a little tiring on her legs as half the time her feet would get stuck in the vines and she would have to try and get her balance. “H-Here!” She stumbles forward and gave half a laugh.

Officer Stevens

At least she was smart enough to listen. There was no way to tell how the others were going to be save for Aaron and she trusted him enough that he would be able to help keep everyone manageable. "You want us to split up?" Just when she was starting to feel hope. She glanced at everyone to see how they would react to what Aila said. She must have watched Scooby Doo too much as a child. Now she's being told not to explore too far? The nod was what sold it. A kid trying to hard. Officer Stevens looked away for a moment as soon as Aila was no longer looking at her. It was as close to an eye roll as she would get. She forced herself to bite her tongue. The officer fully remembering why its best not to hang around people who are over ten years younger than yourself. Then again she had to give it to the girl to take initiative. None of the others spoke up while Liz was audibly planning possible routes and she honestly was starting to worry that she was going to have to lead their little posse during their entire stay. When Liz was Aila's age, she had only just joined the military. A lot had changed since then. It then occurred to her that it probably was best to give them enough room and let them take the reigns to see what they would do. She just needed to convince herself to give them a chance without letting her own training force her to butt in. "Fine. Just don't go anywhere else until we meet back up at the front of the building." ...close enough.

She gives Aila a nudge with her arm before she has a chance to start her march through the forest. Not a harsh one, more of approval. As dark as it was Aila would be able to see a slight smirk on Liz's face. Most of them probably haven't gone outside the state. To her, it was likely the most exciting and nerve racking thing she's ever done. She didn't need to have Liz scowling at her. The last thing they needed was conflict from the very start. "Lead on." Liz nods her head in the direction that Aila was planning to go with the tape still in one hand. "I'll hold up the rear."

'Maybe this is what we all need.' She thought as she felt the tape ring spin in her hand while they walked. She spent so much of her time trying to do what she felt would help her family, future, career...its not like she hasn't had fun in the meantime. She watched at a light ahead of her turned on. It made it easier for them to stay close together...this is the first time she's had this much stability in her life with the freedom to risk living a little more care free and being capable of enjoying herself. Provided she wasn't caught.

The sound of the tape roll rubbing against her fingers and the rustling of footsteps was all she could hear. She could have sworn hearing somewhere that this was supposed to be a bird sanctuary. Alas, not a single bird, cricket or, anything. Liz hears Aila speak while they walk. She sounds a bit winded. Liz chuckles under her breath and pulls out a cigarette. "We've made it this far, I think we'll be fine." The officer, with the unlit cig still in her mouth, squeezes between two trees. She juggles for the lighter and nearly loses it in the underbrush. By the time she successfully lights it they make it to the large building that they had seen on the map. "Tired already? I thought teens were supposed to have more energy." She muses with the cigarette pinched between her lips while she tied the tape to a tree that's the closest to the clearing. "If you'd like, you can tag along next time me and a few buddies go hiking. Improve your cardio, work on your lungs and put some meat on your bones." She saw the irony that she set herself up for. She was more serious than joking even with the chuckling and smirk on her face.

Before they split up she puts the tape in Aila's hand. One end re-tied to a sapling right next to the building. "Think you could humor me and hold onto this? In case we don't find anything interesting and want to catch up. Or in case something goes wrong with your flashlights?" She waited for Aila's decision instead of forcing it on the girl. The cigarette was hanging from her mouth with a growing tip of ash threatening to fall from it.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Liz steps into the huge building with Aaron and Eve. The place had certainly seen better days. Parts of the ceiling and walls were coming down. Some of the rusting piping looked like it couldn't support itself either. "This place is at least pretty wide open. As long as we stay within each other's eye sight I think we'll be fine." She shines a flashlight on an old phone book that looks like it was printed in the 50's. "Remind me why we're here again Aaron? Just so I know how long we'll need to be here?"

He was still a little ways away from the rest of the group. Constant didn't even take notice to the fact they were having a discussion on what to do and where to go,whilst look at the map. His back was turned and his eyes were observing the vast, indiscernible vista before him. His eyes couldn't quite penetrate the obscurity. It didn't matter anyway, the faint voices behind him caught his attention and he made his way back over to the assembly. He got close enough to make out the words 'split up', which Constant really didn't think much of at the time. That, or the thoughts just didn't really bother him that much. In fact, he'd even forgotten the fact that he was on an abandoned, haunted island for a minute, somehow.

Treading through the thicket was far more difficult than he thought. Not only did it physically take a lot more effort, but he also kept turning to look back. The trees at least gave some sort of comfort, having his back out wasn't exactly something he enjoyed too much. He couldn't exactly push away the feeling that something other than his companions were behind them. He was sort of paranoid. He couldn't help it; it was something he had to live with all his life. He didn't exactly know why. But those thoughts were pushed out of his mind, as soon as he heard Aila begin to speak. She caught Constant's attention immediately. He nodded

"This is getting messy." He said as he began watching his step and picking up his feet to make sure he doesn't trip over anything. Then he looked up just in time to Aila falter. He reached out to try and grab her shoulder, but it was already too late. Thankfully she regained her balance in time.

"Careful." He chuckled taking a look around as well as watching the others walked into the building. He took a moment to look at Aila.

"Well. Where to?" Absolutely clueless as to where they were to be, since he didn't hear the whole discussion earlier on where they'd be going. He couldn't help but think he needed to pay closer attention, otherwise he'd get lost. That also reminded him to look behind him every now and then. The thought of being out in the open, exposed sent chills up his spine, giving him a bad feeling of unfathomable discomfort.

Evelyn had remained silent for the time being, her only communication was that of a nod or shake of her head. She was to busy trying to decide how she was going to tell her sister and Aaron, let along her parents, that she has been offered, and accepted, to play the part of a prostitute in an movie. It was no minor part to play by any means, Evelyn was to be the head mistress of a brothel and have an affair with the movies leading man's character. There were more than one scene Aaron may not like, but her family would most likely have a problem with the whole role. Not only the role. Evelyn would be over in Europe for quite some time. Aila would be the only one to be excited for Evelyn, and probably ask if she can come with her. This last thought made Evelyn smile. 'I have the best little sister in the world.' Evelyn thought to herself.

But now, standing inside the slowly collapsing and deteriorating building that once was the Tuberculosis Pavilion, Evelyn's thoughts came to a shuddering halt. Her pack, complete with sleeping bag, extra clothing, spare pair of sneakers, granola and energy bars and other minor necessities like a hair brush and toothbrush, dropped from her shoulder and landed on the building's floor with an echoing thunk. Evelyn turned a full circle, taking in everything. The fading colors of walls, floor, ceiling. The smells of negligence and decay of not only the building, but plants and most likely the local animal life as well.

“This would be a perfect set for a horror movie...” The words slid from her mind and out of her mouth. Then she gave a wide grin and looked at Aaron. “Right handsome? This place is ssoooo spooooky!” Dragging the O's out in the mocking way ghosts sound in comedic movies.

Evelyn was ready to play the part of being a scary ghost, but after turning and spotting Liz, she decided not to. Instead she put her arm around Aaron and pulled herself closer to him. Evelyn knew she should stop sending glares at Liz every time the woman turned her back to her, but she just could not help it. 'The woman is engaged Evelyn!' She thought angrily to herself. 'Stop with the jealous bullshit.'

Evelyn looked Liz over again. 'For one reason, and it's a good one Evelyn, Aaron would never be interested in that She-Man anyways.' Again, Evelyn's thoughts made her smile.

The walk from the shore where the group's adventure had begun was a quiet one, which bothered Aaron somewhat. Since moving to the big city he had been constantly assaulted by car alarms, sirens, people talking, and all the rest of the noise pollution so common in New York. But here on this island? It was like a graveyard with the trees standing in place of plot markers. Which sort of made sense seeing as how so many people had died on this tiny dot of land. But that didn't mean he liked it.

Aaron was walking slowly, near the back of the group with Liz behind him and Eve ahead, his camera out in his right hand sweeping back and forth with night vision on. Not that he really needed to see anything, he was just using it to get some b-roll for the film he would make later about this whole experience. The kind of stuff you could have on screen while the narrator was filling you in on where the film you are about to watch made, by who, all that jazz. Aaron also knew that there was a small chance he could catch something supernatural on the camera none of them would be able to see with their naked eye. A ghost walking beside them or something like that, which would only show up later when he got the chance to view the recordings.

When the group stops and splits up he lowers the camera and nods to Constant and Aila and wishes them luck. Of course he was worried about them, going off on their own in a place like this, but he knew Constant had a crush on Aila, and if she got in trouble he would take care of her, even if he did seem a little out of it lately.

"I guess I just wanted to explore this place a little, to be honest Liz." Aaron says with a small chuckle to answer the officer as he took a look around the old tuberculosis building. It was pretty much how he expected it to be really. "And I figured it might make a cool short film project for class. How the rest of the group got caught up in this, I'm still not entirely sure." His attention then turns to Eve as she turned about to take everything in, smiling at her comment. When she came over and pulled herself in close he put his arm around her in return and looked down at her, having caught the glare, and the others in the past. "If you keep glaring like that you might end up turning someone to stone one day."

Bobby was spending this night like most other nights since he had become marooned for eternity on this miserable island. Inside one of the many buildings on the island, the storage building as it turned out, and more specifically in one of the many rooms inside that building, putting everything in order. Let's face it, there isn't much to do when you're dead, and it helped to pass the time because as soon as he got everything into just the right place he would step back to admire it, then fall into an inexplicable rage and tear it all up again.

Tonight he hadn't gotten that far yet. He was still in the process of sorting through a pile of rather old pill bottles, but as he picked one of the now empty containers up, he felt a shiver go through him.

"That was...odd..." Bobby says, looking from the bottle to the nearest window. Standing up he tosses it back into the pile and makes his way towards the dingy glass so he can look out through a section where the window had been broken and there was now a hole large enough for him to easily stick his head through. "That didn't feel like the old man, that was something new." Before he could begin contemplating this odd feeling, he was struck with another, more familiar one. "Now that was most certainly the old man stirring up the shadows. I wonder if this means we have new arrivals on the island? I can't even remember the last time I saw a new face..."

Eleanor is orange.

Eleanor wandered the abandoned halls of the nurses' residence building, amusing herself by sliding up and down a curving staircase. Oddly enough, it was the latter that was more difficult. Remembering gravity to slide downwards was quite a trick, but she'd had time to both unlearn and learn what gravity was as a ghost. Gravity, often enough, was a trick of the mind. It was quite hard to learn once she'd been floating around for a while, but being able to do both made her quite a hit at parties. Not that they had parties on the island, but occasionally Eleanor would put on some music and dance and pretend. She thought this was where she was supposed to wait, but she couldn't quite remember. It soon ceased to worry her, and she occupied herself with trying to slide up the stair case, upside-down, which was quite interesting as it required her to both forget and remember gravity simultaneously.

"Grooooovy!" Eleanor laughed as she started to get the hang of it, her skirts staying perfectly in place as she used the stairs in a way that completely rebuked their original purpose. Just to break what was becoming a little monotonous, she started to whirl around the staircase banister like a dervish, and because she could, let her skirt swing wide and free. Of course it was unladylike--why else would she be doing it? Her crimson stained mouth was open, smiling widely, as she whirled and twirled and spun, up and down, down and up the staircase.

She had hoped that by the time she stopped spinning that the uneasy feeling that the atmosphere of the island had changed would have left her, but no such luck. Abruptly halting her position in an odd horizontal hang, Eleanor floated herself up to sit properly on the stairs, feet in elegant green pumps turned inwards, wide green skirts with black lace petticoats flaring against the steps. She put her gloved hands under her chin and made an exaggerated pout. This was no fun at all. If he hadn't done anything, she could be entertaining herself in any number of ways right now, instead of being stuck on these stairs. She slowly smiled. Maybe he had forgotten about them, or didn't need them? Then she could go back to doing what she wanted! Sweet freedom! Or, as her smile turned down a little at the corners, as much freedom as she could have. She missed real freedom, not that she'd ever really had it in her life or death, but she'd seen it in pictures before. It looked like the most beautiful thing in the world. She resolved to wait only a little while longer. After that, she would go off and see what Robert was doing.

Cain

The group of new visitor to the vastly silent island drew closer to the years of unused buildings the land around was not very forgiving. Everything from the sway of the trees and the feel of the grass was more then enough to make this place awkward to the eye as well as the other senses. But for the those moving along the brush they were barely aware of the things just out of sight. Every few moments a flashlight or their camera would show something just out of the edge of their range. A creature padding its way out of view or something skittering away under a door. Though they were not sure what to think it, the strange happenings played slightly on the mind because even then it was happening. They did not know if it was real, or the dark playing tricks with them.

Cain is Purple

Not far from the quad the earth was beginning to split, as if a rift was opening inside and the partially exposed form of Cain pressed forth from its travels. Unlike his prey the night air and lack of light was of no concern to him and those under his employ. From his vantage under the brush he could see the groups moving as then they split, this cause a smile to fold over his face as he pressed his palms to the ground and pulling himself out from the ground completely.
As he stood he looked over his shoulders and whistled which quickly got attention as several heavily furred forms streaked from the underbrush. From their looks it was obvious that they were wolves of some sort, though it was strange seeing as their kind had not been seen on the island in many years. The eyes they possessed were a sickening yellow, like that of a sun tanned corpse. All he need do was beckon them on and they lurched up to his side as they kept a strangely vacant stare.

"Drive them inside, I want to see just what they will do.. but don't be too aggressive.. Let them feel in control.." As soon as he finished they all took a large leap clearing through the high grass and hit the ground running. Six in all they split in even numbers to seek out the two small groups, moving with great speed and stealth as they pressed through the brush. The wolves began howling and pressing their charge towards the two groups, circling back around them and coming from the shoreline. Doing their duty of forcing the groups deep into the buildings.

#, as written by Aramay
Officer Stevens

"Ah, right." Now she was beginning to remember. "Is that the only thing ya brought? Don't you need something like sound equipment or electricity readers too?" She wasn't much into anything ghostly. She prefered to believe in things that she could see and touch. And if she could do the former than she could use something like, say a gun to scare it off or if it came to it, shoot it. It was not something that she would show off. People who were naive and too stupid to avoid picking a fight just to find an excuse to wave it around did something like that.

Liz would hear Evelyn goofing around not far off from where she was standing. It was cute, for the first three seconds or so. Till she found herself staring the girl down. She wasn't going to demand that she stop. Though the way that it echoed off the walls multiplied the unappealing shrill effect that it had on her ears. Noticing that she had made her silent message clear to the girl she glanced over at Aaron. The Girl looked to be really attached to him, and as of recent, fairly literally.

Officer Stevens turns her head just in time to see something or at least think that she saw something. Her flashlight wanders over the debris of the building. "I think we may have rats in here." Of course there would be, it would make sense. There were rats in New York so of course there would be rats over on the island. "Be careful not to reach out for anything if you can help it." She wasn't all that afraid of rats but the fact that she couldn't seem to get a good look at the moving creatures left a chill to run up her spin. A sound that she didn't expect to hear made her drop her cigarette and rest a hand on her holster which was nestled inside of her jacket. 'Wild dogs? No, the howls sound deeper.' She thought while flashing the light towards the windows and the door. It doesn't matter what kind of canine it came from. Any sort was still capable of hurting them. "Evelyn? Aaron! Get over here!" Her words quickly went from to strong concern to near panic when she saw yellow eyes stare back at her.

With her left hand still on the flashlight, her right hand pulled her gun. It was a standard, officer issued weapon with 15 rounds. "You have your cell on you right? Call Aila and Constant. Now!" If she could help it she would only have to discharge it once. Now that she thought of it, it would be better if she did. Just about anything would be scared by the sound of gun fire, including herself. It would also be close enough for the other two to hear and hopefully, they were still safe enough to make it back to the boat as long as nothing had spotted them yet. *BANG* She fires a round above her head into the ceiling causing dust to fall. It was already decided. Soon as they could make their way back to the boat they were getting the hell out of there.

Aila took Constant by the hand and dragged him to the small house like building a few yards down. "Hurry up!" She whispered to him as she tugged him along. The grass didn't change much over by the house, if anything it got thicker. "We should of brought a weedeater." She mumbled mostly to herself. Making sure she didn't get stuck again she carefully lifted her feet as she hurried to the house. "Hey Constant, do you think we will catch anything? You know, besides whatever made that howl." Looking back at him she could barely see his face, but she could feel his eyes on her. You would think she was used to this by now.

Holding his hand a little tighter she continued walking, finally getting to the door, "Crap." Shining her flashlight on the floor she saw the floor caving in. "Maybe through the window." Shuffling to the window, which thankfully was already busted open. She flushed her light into the house, seeing it was clear, "Good, it looks clear." She let Constant's hand go and gently tapping around the window she made sure no glass around the windowsill. She sat on the windowsill and pressed her foot on the floor checking to see if it would cave in. She finished climbing in, "All good!" She shouted from inside. She peeked her head in the window and tilted her head, playing a creepy smile on her lips. "Coommeee iiinnnnn, let me eat your SOUL!" She jumped at him, gripping his shirt lightly and giggled. Scaring, or rather trying, had seemed to be a goal for her these past few months. She rarely ever say raw emotions from him. One of the major reasons why she wanted him here in the first place was to get something pumping back into him. Lately he hadn't been himself.

"Woah, wait a minute!" Caught off guard being pulled along by the hand. Constant stumbled forward for a brief moment before attaining his balance again. He walked a little faster, being rushed along by Aila. He looked at her, he was quite impetuous for the moment. His mind was completely dazed for reasons he could not comprehend. For some strange reason, he could not get a grasp of anything that was going on. The howl made him quake inside, but he dared not show an ounce of fear. That and he still seemed idle.

"We should of brought a weedeater."

Aila's mutter of words brought him from his trance, even though he could not quite here what she said. It didn't really matter much to him, so he did not bother asking.

"Hey Constant, do you think we will catch anything? You know, besides whatever made that howl."

"Maybe, but I don't really know what we could really find here. This place just seems completely abandoned." Saying that, he knew there were stories of the place being haunted, but he was still skeptical. Though, he still could not shake the feeling that they were being followed, or.. watched. He took a quick glance behind him just to make sure, then looked back at Aila. He couldn't take his eyes off of her, not again. He felt like if he did, that something could snatch her up in the instant he looked away.

It felt like an eternity before they reached the house. It seemed dilapidated and just worn out; like all things through the ages most likely have. Unless it was some sort of significantly strong structure, even then there would still be some signs of ruin. This house, however looked as if it'd had some pretty bad experiences with time and weather. It appeared it could collapse at any moment and that worried him a little.

"Crap."

"This place just don't look safe at all." He rubbed his chin as he examined the decaying shelter.

"Maybe through the window."

"That works. Just be careful." Constant noticed he said that without thinking. He suddenly felt regret and a little emberrassed, as the thought that the window might be locked ran through his mind. But it was not until Aila let go of his hand, making her way over to the widnow, that he noticed. The window was broken. He walked over as she disappeared into the dark window. Just a moment later he heard her shout.

"All good!"

"Alright then. My turn" He placed his palms flat on on the windowsill. He looked up to see Aila grinning at him.

"Coommeee iiinnnnn, let me eat your SOUL!"

He smiled and couldn't hold in a gut-busting laugh. Her expression and the way she spoke had just seemed all too silly to him.

"Never do that again, i'll just die of laughter." He said, catching his breath after a good laugh. One of the best ones he's had in a long time, actually. He pulled himself up and through the window, carefully placing his feet on the floor once he was in. He looked around. Didn't seem like much to look at, some stuff ruined, some stuff untouched, except for the dust all around. The place had some old antique items that he knew Aila might have taken some interest in.

"Doesn't really look like much. Death trap, maybe." He got the feeling that the entire house could fall in on them at any moment. He moved a little closer to Aila, as if ready to shield her from anything that could possibly fall on her.

"Why are we here? Some things you might want to collect?" He cleared his throat as if trying to point something out, or hint at something.

He laughed, not what she was expecting but she would take it. She backed up and let him in flashing the light so he could see.

"Doesn't really look like much. Death trap, maybe." He said and she looked up at him, watching him get closer. For a moment she had to think of what exactly he was doing and she blushed at the thought he was going to make a move on her. Ignoring his comment she moved carefully around the room, checking out the floor and looking through the items.

"Why are we here? Some things you might want to collect?" He cleared his throat like he was trying to hint at something and she stopped confused. What did he mean by that? Shaking her head she went back to looking around.

"Well...originally to see if it is decent enough to camp out in, but now yeah I guess to collect too. She passed her fingers over a table full of stuff and came across a photo of a woman. She slipped it in her backpack. Grabbing Constant's hand she whispered in her best preppy voice. "Lets go...like make-out and stuff." Slowly walking off into another room, flashing her light side to side, she glanced back at him before facing forward. Aila wondered how the other group were doing.

"Eh, I don't think it's safe to stay in here." He said as he looked around at the walls, the ceiling, the floor. The place seemed unstable. Like it could collapse from the slightest wrong move. At least it seemed that way. Though the house was probably sturdier than it looked, it still worried him and that's just something he couldn't help.

"What do you think? S'it safe?" Constant turned his head to look over at her, just right when she grabbed his hand.

"Lets go...like make-out and stuff."

She whispered into his ear. A light red blush painted my cheeks as shivers shot down his spine. As Aila made her way into another room, he kept up at the same pace, right behind her. He stared at her in disbelief for a long moment. He didn't know rather she was serious, or if she were just kidding around with him. Which compelled him to ask.

"W-wait, are you serious, or are you just playing around?" Constant still had a slight bright red blush on his cheeks at that time. The comment had him all flustered and he just could not stop thinking about it. He continued to stare, still. Patiently awaiting her answer. He was anxious to hear what she had to say, but still somehow at the same time nervous. However, that was something he tried not to reveal to her.

He turned an ear to the sound of rustling outside of the house. It sounded like footsteps... Running. Something was running outside. He had hoped he wasn't the only one hearing this. Constant shuffled a little bit closer to Aila, placing a hand over her shoulder.

"Are you hearing that?" He asked her quietly in a low whisper.

"Yeah, I wish. Even on eBay those things are like a hundred dollars a piece for a decent one, and even then it's the internet, so no guarantee it would even work." Aaron says with a laugh, letting go of Eve long enough to take off his bag and kneel down to look through it. Unzipping the pack he rummages through it for a minute then pulls out a a couple of white emergency candles and a box of matches. "I did bring these for lighting. I figure so long as we keep them away from windows and anything flammable they'd be useful for lighting up a room enough for us to move around easily."

With the candle and matches out he zips his pack back up and stands, looking around for a good place to set it. After a moment he finds a dust covered counter near the center of the room, but as he makes his way towards it he too sees a flash of something out the window and freezes in place. He wasn't thinking of animals, those he could handle. Back home in the south he often had wild dogs, sometimes even wolves, come around the house. No, he was worried it might be a person. A police officer or some other law enforcement official. If he got in trouble that was fine, but he didn't want Liz to hang along side him. Just then, he jumps when he hears Liz talking to him. She was asking about a cell phone. Nervously he reaches into his pocket and replaces his phone with the matches and holds it up, turning to face her.

"You want me to call Aila, but why-" Aaron cuts himself short when he finally realizes what he had seen and begins to hear the animals outside. Silently cursing he looks at the phone for a moment before hitting a few buttons. Putting the phone to his ear he can hear it start to ring, then he notices that the good officer has her firearm out, and a moment later his ears are ringing.

Without meaning to he hits the END button on the phone and drops the candle he had been holding, putting a hand over each ear and closing his eyes for a moment. He was used to the sound of gunfire, but not so close to him in a confined space.

"Ow..." Aaron says, shaking his head for a moment before lowering his hands and blinking a few times. "Well, that happened. I'm guessing those are wolves I heard then, not dogs or people? Great."
