It was early in the morning when Chad woke up and he was seemingly the only early riser in the house. He stirred very quietly, going down the stairs and opened the fridge, grabbing himself a bottle of orange juice before going back upstairs and sitting on the edge of his bed now. His eyes peered towards the outside of his window as he saw the shed that him and Winter stored some boxes along with furniture. It's been awhile since Chad had been out there and knew that it probably needed some attention. He placed on nothing more than a plain blue t-shirt, along with a pair of gray sweatpants and tennis shoes.

While he tried not to wake anyone else up in the house, he walked on the tip of his toes and went out back of the house. Chad reached up and turned the knob, opening the door and looking at the slight mess that had been revealed behind door number one. With a slight sigh, he stepped right into the shed and instead of rearranging things around, of course he went through some of the boxes. His eyes caught a slight glance of Winter's paintings as he looked behind him to make sure she wasn't approaching because the last time he touched one of her paintings, it didn't end well for him.

Chad reached down and picked one of them up, studying the technique displayed in all of her paintings. She was an excellent artist and damn sure didn't need no one to tell her that. After reviewing a few more paintings, he noticed an untouched box and arched a brow as he placed Winter's painting back down gently and walked over to the box, opening it. It was a box filled with Lucien's belongings. Honestly after everything that had went down, Chad missed Lucien a little bit because they was once friends. But after everything else that had happened, their friendship turned them into bitter enemies.

But still, Chad was sad about how Lucien left and it showed. The once pretty and sunny sky turned dark with soft rumbles of thunder and swirling winds. The only person that knew what was happening had to be Winter. She knew about Chad's ability more than anyone. Chad dropped Lucien's things back into the box and instantly throw it to the side. He stopped feeling sad and the sun came back out to play and reveal it's rays upon the Earth.

After spending about a hour straightening up the shed, he feels like he had been away from the house for too long now and knew that everyone had to be up by now. He exited the shed and closed the door behind him then making his trek back to the house, seeing Winter leaned against the counter with only one shoe. "Uhm, hi, Winter." Chad tried his best not to stare down at her awkwardness moment right now. He hugged Winter close then eyed Aiden, the new addition to the house and Danny.

"Hello there, Aiden. Hope you didn't have any trouble finding the house." Chad said while changing his glance from Aiden to Danny. "How are you doing this morning, Danny? Teleport anywhere interesting lately?" Chad asked with a slight snicker then turned his eyes back towards Winter. After a brief moment, he looked and saw the twins of the house and didn't say anything but simply nodded towards them. "I hope no one noticed the slight change in the weather a few moments ago." Chad looked over towards Winter with a wink, chuckling as he raised a brow. "Where are the other two ladies of the house, Valerie and Scarlett?"

With the shrug of his shoulders, he eyed everyone that was present in the kitchen. "So, anyone up for some breakfast? Lunch?" He asked while rummaging through the cabinet for pots and pans, the loud clanging basically filling up the kitchen. "I know, how about brunch? Yeah, I'll make brunch." Chad nodded his head while sitting the pots and pans on the stove and looking for something to cook now. He tapped his chin with his index finger, wondering what would be best for this occasion.

Chad shrugged his shoulders at a thought he had earlier then turned as Aiden ran outside of the house. With a raised brow, Chad stood there in a shocked manner and looked at Winter. "So, which one of us is going to check on Torch?" He laughed at his little nickname for Aiden already then went back to preparing brunch for the household. He wondered if Aiden was uncomfortable around them and how could he be. Everyone in the house was just alike but different in their own little way, even the twins. With the shake of his head, he heard Winter's request and nodded his head, giving her a brief thumbs up.

He scrambled Winter's eggs then threw the scrambled mix into the fryer and stirred them with pure precision then flopped them onto a nearby plate. He dashed salt and pepper, slightly on top of them but knew that she was going to want something else to go along with her eggs. Chad looked at the twins with a raised brow. "You two." He said after hearing their request and going back over towards the fridge and cabinet then back over to the counter, putting their omelet mixtures together.

His ears twitched when he heard one of them ask what brunch is then turned and replied. "Brunch is basically breakfast but during lunch time? The hell if I know, just heard it a lot." Chad quirked his lips to the side, a bit unsure if he explained that correctly then saw Robin grab bananas and strawberries to make a smoothie. "Dude, you're blind, right?" He turned towards Will in confusion then watched as a spark came from the sink. "Yeah, as usual, electricity and water doesn't go hand in hand." Chad chuckled then went rummaging for the first aid kit. He sat it down on the counter, patting it just in case it came in handy then eyed Rob as he made the smoothie.

With a raised brow, he turned back towards the stove and finished up Will's and Rob's omelet then laid it out before them, already have forks on their plates. "Enjoy, guys." Chad said with a smile then grabbed two more plates, that were already prepared and went out to where Winter and Aiden were present. "Hey, hope I am interrupting anything. Just wanted to bring you guys the brunch I prepared." Chad handed Winter her scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, just the way she likes it then held out a plate towards Aiden. "You do not have to accept this but I'll sit it right here, just in case you want to eat and talk." Chad bent down and sat the plate down beside Aiden then raised up while looking at Winter with a slight wink.

"Okay, I am going back inside now so..." Without finishing his sentence, he walked back inside of the house, the kitchen then eyed Danny. "So, would you like me to prepare you something, as well?" He bit his bottom lip nervously, wondering what was up with Aiden. He knew that Winter would tell him later on but he kind of wanted to know right now. A slight sigh escaped over his parted lips as he hoped that Aiden is not another Lucien. If he was, then he might as well not ever set one foot back into the house.

With another sigh, he awaited Danny's reply but then thought where was Valerie and Scarlett. "Excuse me, Danny. I must go and find two females but when I get back, I'll make you your brunch." Chad said while exiting the house and going towards the glass house, where he saw Valerie going into earlier when he was outside in the shed. While walking in, he maneuvered himself beside Valerie and stood there with a smile. "Mind if I join you?" He'd ask while standing there with his hands inside of his pocket, an innocent but charming look placed upon his face.

The sky outside looked beautiful today as Scarlett sat outside high up in the tree that was closest to the house. She's been up for a while, silently snuck outside with her sketchbook and climbed up into the tree in order to draw. The early hours seemed to be more relaxing for her even though she wasn't really a morning person but today she had felt different, more laid-back than cranky. Her pencil ran smoothly over the off white colored canvas as it sketched a detailed scenery that she had once saw in a dream of hers. The sketch resembled what looked like a cave, a huge one with vegetation growing all around it.

Her hand kept gently moving across the page making the vines come to life on the paper as she delicately wrapped them around the thin bridge made of stone that stretched from one side of the cave to the other. The trees had merged with the rock and intertwined with them as they stuck out from almost everywhere giving the whole scene an eerie yet familiar feel to Scarlett. Now intrigued on how familiar the picture looked she kept going, she had to finish it now. Next came the wildflowers that resided down under the bridge next to the small stream that flowed into a decent sized body of water inside the cave. In the center of the body of water stood a tree tall and wide bearing the beautiful sight of white petals with only a small fraction of the ceiling removed and crumbled away letting the sun enter so it directly shun on the tree.

Using the eraser Scarlett erased a slight mistake then took a small break. Her head lifted up from her sketchbook and leaned back against the tree with eyes closed as a breeze passed by. Her lungs inflated with the sweet scent of earth and flowers making her body relax with a faint smile upon her lips. A sudden burst of noise caused Scarlett to open her eyes. Blinking a few times her eyes wandered around in front of her before actually looking down and noticing a boy on the ground, wasn't that the new guy? Her eyebrow rose in slight confusion before Winter's silhouette came into view, they began to talk but Scarlett was to high to hear, plus she felt as if she would be invading their privacy if she could hear them. The woman's eyes caught the sight of his flames though which caused a jog in her memory. The lantern! That's right, there was a lantern in my dream.

Inwardly talking to herself Scarlett moved her eyes back down to her paper totally forgetting about the two below her and drew the lantern that she had pictured in her head on the right side of the bridge. Once she finished her gaze swept over the sketch, she took in everything and it looked beautifully eerie to her but something was missing. Tapping the pencil against her chin softly and in a slow rhythmic way Scarlett pondered the question of what was missing. She thought and thought for a couple of minutes and once she got frustrated enough she blew out a sigh, finally giving up for now.

Climbing down a few branches quietly before jumping the rest of the way down Scar landed on her feet, a little wobble but still on her feet. Her head turned slightly around to check if the two behind her noticed her before slightly jogging back inside through the front door and into the kitchen where she was met with the rest of her friends. "Hey there" she smiled and softly waved before pushing up her glasses and settling her sketchbook along with the pencil on the table.

XXXThe hammock inside the greenhouse was by far her favorite feature. When people couldn't find her, she was in either one of three places. The greenhouse, the stone shed, or her room. It was rare to see her in the living room simply hanging around, or in the kitchen at times other that breakfast and dinner. She typically skipped lunch.
XXXValerie felt weightless a top of the hanging piece of cloth. A leg dangled out from a side, and her eyes remained closed. Some wonder what she even had to think about anymore. Most of her time was spent within her head. The girl didn't mind in the slightest. Her mind was the only place she could function through anything. The reality was, what didn't she have to think about.
XXXInside her mind she debated the values of the world. She was her own philosopher. It was like cosmos laid hidden within her, waiting to be discovered. She thought the same of everyone else. Valerie believed all people had potential to be brighter than the stars. But she didn't want to shine. She wanted to be a fly on the wall, watching the world turn about, eventually to one day share words with others.
XXXAt this point in her life, she knew she was much to inexperienced to share supposed wisdom. Even after all she went through, and all she endured - she only waited for life's next boulder to come her way. Whatever that ended up being, she felt prepared.
XXXThe one time she opened her eyes to look out of the glass planes, she saw smoke rising from the new person, and fire spew. So that was his ability. Valerie had to be glad she chose to let him go about his business instead of trying to speak to him. The pressure was probably a lot for the guy to handle. She didn't feel bad in particular, but she understood the feeling. When she arrived to the house, she was the same way. Those that knew her would say she's talkative now compared to her former state. At her first arrival, she hardly left her room. Over time she was able to come out of that shell, but the quiet still seeped within her.
XXXThe small bell a top of the door to the greenhouse rang, and her eyes averted over to the door. She saw Chad walking towards her, and could only wonder if he needed something. She liked him well enough, as she did everyone else. No one had given her a reason to particularly dislike them either. She returned the smile her gave her with weaker intensity. She sat up as well as she could within the hammock when he asked if he could join her.
XXX"It's as much your greenhouse as mine. I don't mind. There's a chair against the wall" she pointed before putting her head back down within the cloth. She didn't have much to say in the terms of conversation. Though, many learned that by now.

Will and Rob looked to Chad with raised eyebrows as he asked who was going outside, touching their noses as they went back to their businesses. They kind of liked the new kid, having similar feelings of it. They didn't dislike him, but both were still suspicious of things, like new people.

When Chad kind of seemed to groan at the requests of so much food, both twins smiled up at him broadly. "Thanks Chad, you are oh so wise," Will stated with a roll of his eyes and the sarcasm dripping down his chin.

When Chad asked if he was blind, Will looked at the guy, waving the knife around a little. "Yes, and you're smaller, right?" Will asked with a teasing smile before tossing the knife carelessly into the sink.

He wasn't bigger than Chad necessarily, but he weighed more. He only knew because of how close he Will and Rob weighed and how Chad and Rob's electrical currents through them flowed different. Rob's was a little slower and Chad's a little faster. Will also worked out a lot with his brother since they were so susceptible to getting sick and needed to stay as strong as possible.

Will nor Rob mentioned that the first aid kit wasn't for a burn from the electricity. Will grabbed the plates and set Rob's in front of him before beginning to eat his own. The two were eating heartily when Chad left.

Rob turned to Danny. "Dude, she doesn't hate you, you're just too shy. Come on, be nice and brave," Rob declared with a pounding of the table though it was light and meant to be more of a joke than an actual statement.

Robin looked to Danny as he responded to Robin's question. "That is a relative term. I have the plan when I'm told to come up with a plan. I have not been told recently, therefore, I have no plan, except to find the plans and develop a plan after that," Robin explained though Will furrowed his brow slightly.

"That doesn't make sense," Will stated simply. His brother looked thoughtful for a moment. "Mmm... Nah, it does," He decided before finishing off his omelet and going to wash off the dirty dishes.

Dan sneezed and ended up a few feet away from where he was. Rob stifled a smile and Will outright laughed. "Come on Dan, I loved when you ended up in the closet, that was great!" Will said with a sigh as he calmed his laughter.

The front door opened and before Scarlet had gotten into the kitchen, Will called out, "Hi Scarlet!" His tone was the most obnoxiously friendly, childish hello he could manage and he just sank back in his chair as he continued to eat his omelet before picking up his fixed guitar and beginning to strum the song Thousand Years. It was such a pretty song and he loved it. He hummed, not feeling the singing part as of right then.

Robin picked up Will's plate and began to wash that off as he asked his brother, "How's hot head doing?" Will looked in the general direction Aiden and Winter were, seeing them outside clear as day though Robin couldn't see them from where he was.

"He looks like he's doing better. Not entirely sure though," Will stated with squinted eyes though it didn't do anything. "Scarlet, what you working on?" Will asked curiously, not bothering to try and look as he sat comfortably in his seat, turning his face to her as he waited for a response.

"Easy for you to say Daredevil, you're not the one with claustrophobia." Danny huffed, and folded his arms at Will saying it's funny when he ends up in a closet. Though Danny would admit it probably is funny, but for a guy with such a intense fear of the dark, and enclosed spaces....it's a nightmare. He shuttered at the mere thought of it. "Besides do you really wanna go there with the downsides of powers?" He smirked, thinking about how he can barely get into water. Though he didn't want to mention it, it seemed like a bit of a low blow to him.

When Will greeted Scarlett he turned to face her, and as before with Winter he began to get all nervous, and avoided eye contact like the plague. Robin's words earlier about him being brave rang in his ears. 'Come on Danny! You can teleport for God's sake, you can talk to one girl! Let's do this!' He mentally preped himself. "Um....H-h-hi.....Sc-c-c-carlett." He struggled to get out, and then he took a deep gulp. "I..I..uh...got a new b-b-book. It's....uh...2-2-2-206-61 Ody-yssey...Th-th-ree. It...not new new....just......t-t-o me. Ha-have y-you....read it?" He struggled, hoping that she understood that he got 2061: Odyssey Three.

Though it may not seem like, he does feel a bit more comfortable around Scarlett than the other girls. Maybe it's because they have a few similar interests, both like vintage things, and movies, and have a apprecation of art. Though he wouldn't call his photos art. But he was still pretty awkward around her. He took a big uncomfortable gulp, and tried to lift up his head to look at her, to no avil. He brought his mind off of her, and began wondering about how Aiden was handling things. He wishes he could do something to help the dude, but he's not quite sure what he can do. His powers are pretty different from his fire thing.

He managed to look over, and saw Chad dripping wet, and heading up stairs. He raised an eyebrow.

XXX
XXXHer eyes opened when Chad put the chair in front of the hammock. Valerie looked at him as he spoke, her face remaining straight as he tried to almost persuade her to talk. She hadn't realized the vibe she had given off to others. Chad was much more talkative than a few. As he had to be if he was running the place with Winter. Unlike the idea of facilities, and having leaders - she didn't look to them like that. She saw them as mentors, even friends. It was hard to place such authority in people that were her own age. It took a lot to do what they were doing, the idea of being caught bone chilling. Simply, she respected them.
XXX"There's just nothing to say. Don't take it personally" her two sentences calmly rolled from her. The outstretched hand was ignored as she got to her feet, following him outside to see the spectacle that were his abilities.
XXXIt wasn't like she hadn't seen him do this before. She had an idea of everyone's powers. The one she hadn't really seen in action was Winter's. Though she had the idea that Winter used the ability far more than spoken of. As would Valerie is she had that gift. Instead she had life's energy to manipulate within herself.
XXXValerie stood in the grass as Chad raised his hands towards the sky. Moments later soft rain trickled down. All outside were caught in the small event. Valerie's pinned up hair began sticking to her, so she peeled the bandanna that kept her hair back, allowing the blonde waves to fall free. Looking to the new guy it seemed he enjoyed the spectacle.
XXXDespite getting wet she made no attempt to run out of the rain. It was something natural. For the most part at the moment. It was interesting to say the least, Chad's ability. The skies were always something she could get lost in. To control it was something she couldn't imagine.
XXXWhen the rain poured it's last drop Chad apologized. She waved it off, only nodding. Her wet hair dripping, as were her clothes. Before walking inside she took the moment to pause a small distance away from Winter and newbie.
XXX"Welcome to the house" the greeting didn't last long until she walked through the sliding glass doors back into the house. Slipping off her shoes on the small mat, Valerie wrung out her hair slightly on it as well. She shook her head to get back the natural flow of it. Inside was the sound of guitar and the chattering of others.
XXXValerie moved past them all to the hallway into her room to find new things to wear. She'd rather not get everything wet. The girl slipped on sweatpants instead figuring they wouldn't leave the house for the remainder of the day. She sat down on her bed, pulling her guitar from the corner, plucking away at the strings. She played with an absent mind, the song Wonderwall. Even if others thought she wasn't the happiest, or the friendliest - she was far more content than any probably realized.

Winter gave a little bit of a shy laugh at his comment, instinctively reaching to put her hand on the back of her neck. "I don't really tend to tell people stories of my past I guess," she admitted with a tiny smile. The person who knew the most about her in the house had to be Chad. He knew the most about her life before the Haven, simply because he had been apart of it for a short time. He, so far, was the one person she knew who hadn't left her in that point of time, who always stuck around. She hoped he always would in some way or form. Eventually everyone parts ways, but she would make damn sure they sent each other letters and visited all the time if it ever came to that. If she were to ever be fully separated from him, never to hear from him again, it would be an even darker world then what she'd already experienced. He was the single person she never fault... cautious around. She was one to never ever use her powers around any one, or reveal her demons, but she had no reservations when it came to him. She trusted him with all her heart, and she hoped he felt the same about her. He knew every single detail of why Winter was the way she was.

Glancing at Aiden as he looked over his hands and examined his state, she couldn't help but give an overjoyed smile, and he shot one right back at her. Well, it looked like stories worked. She herself even in the middle of telling him the odd tale totally forgot why she was doing it in the first place. Once she got a vivid memory in her head, she tended to wander and focus strictly on that. There were few things that made her focus completely, and one of those things tended to be bringing up past memories in full detail. It was nearly as effective as when she painted or drew, but not quite.

Her mind, however curious it was, couldn't ignore the all too sudden down pour of rain that trenched over the small valley the house lay on.

Looking up towards the mixed grey sky, she shook her head with a small laugh, mumbling simply under her breath, "Chad, you nutter." Winter liked rain, and often found herself wandering outside when it did. It was refreshing and gave off a certain atmosphere that relaxed her, no matter odd it was. However, when thunder was involved, it was a completely different story. Winter pulled herself off the ground, only to twirl once as the rain kept on hitting her face in an almost refreshing manner, but she completely jumped out of her wits when the first roar of thunder erupted. Clutching her chest as she did only shortly before in the kitchen when Danny had teleported right beside her, her eyes bugged out a bit and she breathed out, "I'm going to yell at him," in reference to Chad. However, the sudden role of the change in weather didn't end there, no, the rain only poured on heavier. Winter whipped her head around, trying to peak around to see where Chad was, wether he was doing it from outside or inside, but she couldn't spot his familiar frame anywhere. Part of her was concerned it was a mood swing, but she highly doubted that. No, it came on too suddenly and changed too swiftly and easily for it to have been something brought on upon simple emotions. He was doing it on purpose. That bloody bugger.

Looking back down at Aiden as he gave the bucket comment, she looked over to the pathetic little kettle that was now over flowing with the after the rain added to it. Covering her face in her hands, her wet hair clung to her face. "I can't believe I brought a kettle outside to help," she called back over to Aiden, peeking through the cracks of her fingers as she gave a joyful laugh in disbelief. Yeah, what a super hero she was, equipped with her trusty copper kettle. How embarrassing.

The rain seem to stop almost as fast as it had started, and she pushed her damp brunette locks away from her face, still giving a laughing glance down Aiden's way. "Alright, I'm going inside to get changed, why don't you meet me inside and I'll show you to your room. It's up on the second floor, third door on the right though if you wanna get settled in yourself," she told him, before quickly adding in, "I'll also take you to the store room, you can grab some extra furniture or stuff there if you want," she smiled, before Valerie approached behind her and gave her very familiar curt greeting to the boy, before she made it back inside, obviously caught by the rain as well. Winter loved Val, they had their own special relationship and bond. Many were often taken aback by her very outright and quiet nature, but Winter just saw it as a special quirk that only made her love the girl more. She just lightly chuckled, before trailing behind the blonde headed girl back inside after she picked up the plate of food Chad previously brought outside, along with her kettle.

Her hair dripped on the hardwood of the entrance, so she gathered it up and flopped it over her shoulder, so the water would sink into her already wet shirt. It didn't stop the dripping of every other piece of clothing on her though. Making her way past where everyone sat, she called over her shoulder, "Mornin' Scar," as she didn't see the girl yet that day. She also loved Scarlett dearly, she acted as a sister to the girl and she probably would never understand how much that meant to her, despite how much they bicker at times.

Racing down the steps to her basement room, after unloading the plate at kettle on the kitchen counter, she opened her door and almost as swiftly closed it, leaning against the back of it as she did. Today had already felt so long, for it to have only been so short.

Opening up her drawers, she grabbed out some new clothes before peeling the wet ones off and replacing them. She was pretty content with the warm grey sweater, but one quick look at her feet sent her mind reeling. She was still only wearing a single shoe. Sighing, she flicked off the black oxford and replaced its spot on her feet with a pair of black fluffy socks. She actually disliked wearing shoes inside, so these were a great alternative. Now all that she had left to do was to go ask Chad what the hell he was doing earlier.

Making her way back up the steps, she walked over to the upper stair case, simply yelling "Chad!" as she was sure he was suspecting a visit from her. Stalking her way up the stairs like some huffy wet haired dwarf, she slipped in past his door, and began on a spiel, "dude, I was outside, what would have happened if Aiden hadn't have calmed down yet, and now I'm probably going to get si-" she had to stop herself. As soon as her green eyes landed on the book in Chads hands, she simply ceased talking. She remembered that book.

"Wasn't that Lucien's?" she questioned in a soft spoken way, still eyeing the cover.

One night Lucien had come down to her room, I guess he heard her thrashing in her sleep or something because he woke her up from the repetitive nightmare she had most of the time. She attempted to try and get him to forget about it, to continue back upstairs and to go back to sleep himself, but he wouldn't budge. He knew Winter probably wouldn't sleep for the rest of the night, so he told her he would try and keep her mind off of things, so he simply ran back upstairs, grabbed a book, and began reading to her as he sat on her floor. He must have read well over a hundred pages that night. However, he ended up falling asleep on the hard floor of her room before she did.

Will didn't notice Chad being wet, though he had briefly seen the rain outside in the waves of rain. Robin on the other hand, stifled a laugh as Chad walked in soaking wet. He didn't come back down and Will informed him that Chad was upstairs reading.

Robin looked to Will and shrugged with a smile. Chad did as he pleased, Robin did as he pleased. Will did as he pleased when he could and basically everyone did what they felt like.

When Danny asked about the downsides of powers, Will let it roll of his shoulders. Yeah, he couldn't get into water if he wanted to be able to see. But at least his powers let him see at all. He didn't like being entirely blind, it made him dizzy and sick and horrible.

Robin shrugged slightly at the comment as he began messing with one of the pencils on the counter with one hand. He didn't mind the water thing. He didn't like that he couldn't swim without concentrating, but he could. Will was lucky he could focus his electricity so he could wash his hands and stuff while seeing, but Robin had to be careful. He couldn't have electricity in his lower body whatsoever if he wanted to wash his hands. But he could see. So that was good.

Danny seemed to have taken some of Rob's advice and he smiled proudly, like a big, proud brother. He moved slightly and winced. William noticed it right away and frowned immediately. He motioned to go down the hall and Robin shook his head slightly. They'd do it later, when it wouldn't be so suspicious.

William struck up another song on his guitar and smiled as his fingers found the chords easily, knowing what to press down to make what sound he needed. Robin smiled at his brother even though he couldn't see it.

Winter made another appearance and was soaking wet which caused Robin to go ahead and chuckle. When Winter called for Chad, Will made a wide eyed face. "Oh, someone's in trouble," He stated with a laugh. Robin outright laughed at that comment.

The two leaned back in their chairs, Will looking to Robin with a questioning glance though Robin just shook his head again before heading to his room to grab one of his favorite books. William sighed before relenting and leaning back in his chair more comfortably. Their lives were pretty boring ever since they came to Safe Haven, but that was sometimes a good thing. Boring could be good.

When Robin reappeared, he sat down and began rereading one of his favorite books. He had once lent it to the household and within, discovered a note that stated what the day's chores and activities were, reminding Robin of the need to know what was going on. He refrained from leaning his entire body back, instead tilting his head back and calling, "Winter, do we have plans for today yet or are we just winging things again?"

William looked considering before he called, "We should get take out food. Like, Chinese. Or pizza. Both are good." He smiled at his thoughts before adjusting the sharpness of one cord before playing it and smiling at the fixed result.

Chad continued to sit there, somewhat indulged into the book he was reading before him. He lost sight for a moment, still remembering the night that Lucien went ballistic and stabbed Winter in the back - Literally. His jaws clenched and one of his fists balled up but he soon calmed down as Winter shouted his name. 'Oh, god.' He thought to himself while immediately setting himself up and looking as Winter just walked into his room. "Ever heard of knocking?" He slightly joked while keeping his gaze upon her.

He listened to her words and nodded his head. "I know. I am sorry, didn't mean..." His words were interrupted by Winter as she eyed the book and questioned if it was Lucien's. "Why yes. Yes it is." Chad said while closing the book and sitting aside. "I can get rid of it if you like." He bit his lip a bit nervously, not really wanting to get rid of the book because it was such a great read. Who knew that Lucien had a bit of a soft side. Lucien damn sure had a hard way of showing it and Chad knew it, along with Winter.

"You know, I'll never forget when we first introduced Lucien to the house." Chad said while standing there and stroking his chin with his forefingers now. "Who knew that he'd turn out that way." He chuckled softly while shrugging his shoulders, as well. Chad eyed Winter again with a slight sigh, waving his hand towards her back. "How's your back? Healing well, I hope." Once again, his jaws clenched and his fists balled up but he inhaled then exhaled and was calm again.

"Well, I am just glad to see that you're okay, honestly." He'd walk up to her and give her a small hug, breaking it shortly. "So, I think we need to get everyone out of this house. Especially Valerie who is too introverted, if you ask me." Another chuckle came over him as he winked towards Winter while walking past her. "I'll meet you downstairs." Chad ran down the stairs and back into the kitchen, looking towards Scarlet. "So nice of you to join us, Scar." He said while then glancing his eyes over at the Twins.

"You two seem very eager to get out of the house. What are you two up to?" He asked while looking at them with a raised brow.

Will and Robin look to each other as had comes downstairs and asks them what they're up to. Robin seemed to consider his words first before shrugging and doing it slowly so he didn't move too much too fast. William watched him carefully before he turned his entire attention to Chad with a lazy grin on his face.

"Chad, darling, you see, technically I have only four senses. My hearing and taste senses are both growing bored with the hearing and taste options around me, so I want to go out so I can hear more," William stated as if trying to explain to a judge why he shot someone he didn't like. Because he didn't like them. Duh.

Robin looked confused for a moment, opening and closing his mouth a few times before finding the words he wanted to use. "William, you can literally see everything but colors and words. That is it. You can even see through walls. Technically you have better sight than all of us," Robin states as if he was unsure how Will could think of himself that way.

Will paused his guitar playing, seeming to consider the words for a moment before shaking his head. "Nope. Uh uh. Because eye doctors use letter charts to judge vision, and I can't see the letters to tell them, I technically have zero twenty vision. I am legally blind." Will gives a nod of his head as if to cement what he said to everyone else. He then "glanced" down at his guitar to line up his fingers to the strings again before beginning to play again.

Robin sighed. "If you are legally blind, why were you cutting fruit...Whatever. You are basically color blind to every color except one, and I don't even know what color that is since you can't tell me," Robin stated with a sigh as he adjusted how he was sitting in his chair again.

Robin looked up to Chad and stated simply, "Dude, we need to get out. Going out for groceries is only temporarily satisfying and Will hasn't even gotten out for a few days. He's blind not dead," Robin explained in a better way. Will nods, not looking up from where he was watching his fingers on the guitar as he responded with an "Amen brother."

"Plus, Chad, we can get take out food. We can even pick up stuff to make dessert. I can make some mean desserts to celebrate our new kid. What does new kid like? Tiramisu? Chocolate Cake? S'mores? Straight up icing?" Robin asks with a lazy grin as he sits back, his sleeves coming up a bit as he forgot why he wanted them so far down on his arms and moved to give his hands more mobility.

William smiled, looking to his brother, exactly where Robin's scars were though he couldn't see the variation in his brother's skin tones. He could always feel the scars his brother had on his wrists, but he couldn't see the difference. "Funfetti icing is the absolute best,"
William stated with a nod. Robin nodded back in return before looking to Chad for confirmation.

Everyone who knew Robin saw the scars sometime or another. He used to wear bandages around them so it wasn't out there, but then people believed he had done it recently. William didn't see them but he knew why Robin had the scars. The only other people who really knew why, or had an idea why, was Winter and Chad. Winter because the twins told her everything when they first went to the haven, Chad because Robin was embarrassed when Chad first saw them and wanted to explain he wasn't suicidal and that he shouldn't be treated differently just because he had scars where he would normally have scars should he have been suicidal.

The twins looked to Chad and made a double "Pwease" at the fellow before William continued his paused guitar strumming and Robin glanced at the book before him as he waited for a response from Chad so he could keep reading his book. It was a good one too. It was a fiction thing that was about some person that designed clothing but spent a couple years in the wilderness before being found.

Scarlett slightly shrugged when Will asked what her drawing was about and made her way over to the fridge. She opened it and took out what she wanted which was the bottle of cranberry juice. "I don't know, something weird from a dream of mines." she answered him while pouring herself a glass. The blonde walked back over to the table and sat down pulling off her glasses and rubbing her forehead before taking a big gulp of the refreshing juice. "Um....H-h-hi.....Sc-c-c-carlett." Her head rose from her glass to look at Danny with a smile. "Hey, what's up?" Honestly Scar knew that the boy could be nervous around the ladies but she really didn't mind at all, he was a sweet kid.

"I..I..uh...got a new b-b-book. It's....uh...2-2-2-206-61 Ody-yssey...Th-th-ree. It...not new new....just......t-t-o me. Ha-have y-you....read it?" Scarlett slowly nodded as she thought about the book he was talking about. "Yeah, actually I think I have." she took another sip of her juice while twirling her pencil in between her fingers. "Arthur C. Clarke right? His third book in his little space series no?" A soft smile appeared on her lips. "It's a good book, anyhow have you taken any new pictures lately?" she asked curiously. Scarlett's attention way taken away though by a wet Chad who made his way up the steps then Val passing behind him down the hall. Just like Danny her eyebrow quirked upward in confusion. "Huh," Her gaze went over to the kitchen window and saw all the skies grey with clear droplets pouring down. "It's raining? I was just out there and it looked fine . . ."

Realization kicked in when Winter walked in also dripping wet, Chad's dead, she thought before returning Winter's greeting. "Morning you soggy british biscuit." Scarlett laughed a bit, it was a tease, a loving one from the bottom of her heart because she loved messing with the one person that was basically a sister to her. As soon as Winter left the room Scar nudged Will. "He's totally dead." she laughed. To her surprise though Chad made it back downstairs a couple of minutes in one piece.

"Oh man, I thought you'd be dead for sure!" the blonde chuckled before finishing off her juice. "How'd you get away? You must tell me your secret so I can use it the next time me and Winter get into a fight." she teased. She observed the whole conversation between the twins before she cut in at the end with a clap of her hands and a swift point of her finger toward them. "There ya go, I want out too." Her feet planted themselves steadily on the floor before she stood up, she placed her hand lightly on Danny's head and softly ruffled his hair. "I bet Danny agrees to, right Danny?"

Aiden walked back into the house after Winter had, just as soaked as any who were out there during the spontaneous shower. He was hesitant and a bit nervous as he entered the general vicinity of those hanging out in and around the kitchen, forcing him to slow down into something of a shy pace, his head slightly lowered as he approached them, finally stopping, and after a few seconds of waiting for them to finish talking to one another, spoke up upon seeing Chad come back downstairs. Winter and Valerie had still yet to resurface, but he figured this was as good a chance to apologize as any.

"Um..." he hummed, shifting his eyes to and fro between each of them. "I... I just wanted to say 'sorry' for..." He paused again, not sure how to label it, and so he simply just pointed with a thumb behind him, indicating the backyard. "That," he gave them a wry chuckle, as if to lighten the air over the topic. "Almost threatening to burn the place down doesn't make a very good first impression, does it..." He smiled, again wryly, never keeping his eyes on any of theirs more than a few seconds before switching to another pair. "I mean, I didn't even get a chance to introduce myself. Name's Aiden, by the way. And as I'm sure most of you likely noticed..." He paused again, looking behind him to the backdoor for a second before turning to face them once more, giving a bit of a shrug. "I kinda...set things on fire."

As far as first-time introductions went, this was Aiden's best, worst, and most peculiar -- all wrapped in the same package. In the past, had Aiden shown an accidental display of his powers to anyone, he would have had to bail on them immediately, whether he'd already introduced himself or not. However, he was adamant in never having messed up so badly that he had to leave before giving them his name. That made this specific situation a rather strange one to him. He wasn't used to not taking off at the first sign of a flame, for one thing; he wasn't used to anyone not thinking it was 'abnormal' or 'scary' that he could possibly and quite literally catch on fire upon the slightest amount of discomfort. But that's why he was so embarrassed -- so nervous -- talking to them like this. And Aiden loved it. He certainly wasn't showing it, on account of just how nervous he was coming off, but Aiden was happy. Making a friend in Winter, no one acting afraid of him when he caught fire, not having to run away after they did, feeling embarrassed over openly apologizing to them because of it-- feeling nervous, not from fearing them finding out about what he really is, not because he doesn't want to accidentally cause them harm or grief, but because they were new people that he wanted to befriend. It was the most normal he'd felt in years...

Danny nodded to confirm that it was Arthur C. Clarke who wrote the book in question. "Few...new p-p-p-ictures. L-last night. S-stars....and stuff." Danny stated as he struggled to get out. He turned to face Winter, and Aiden as they were soaked as well. He glanced outside to see it was drizzling. "Chad." Danny concluded. He wondered if he did it on purpose, or if it was on accident. He slightly jumped at Scarlett clapping to interrupt the twins. He lightly groaned as she ruffled his hair as if he was a child. He's only the youngest by a year after all, but sometimes it feels as if it's like ten. He nodded to agree with Scarlett about ordering out.

He restraightened his hair, and watched as Aiden apologized for his actions, thinking it wildly unnecessary, and uneeded. He remembers when he first arrived here as well, and how little, or less, control he had on his powers as well. Danny quickly teleported over to Aiden, and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "N-no worries.....I u-used t-t-to....pop i-in pe-peoples beds a-at night. I u-used to tel-teleport during m-m-m-my sleep." He stated, hoping it might make him feel better. He teleported again, returning to his previous spot.

"I-I-I could p-pop into town.....for...um...food." Danny stated. It'd only take a few teleports before he'd be in town. Sometimes it's handy to be able to teleport, as he'll never need a car. "A-Aiden c-ould come. See t-the town. I-if he wants." He added. Though he wasn't sure how much of the town the pryo saw before he got there. "P-pizza s-sounds good. B-but it's u-up to you g-g-guys." He voiced his opinion. Of course he'd just go along with whatever they decided. He's not one to rock the boat after all.

"No!" She sputtered out, holding her hand out and shaking it, "no, you don't have to get rid of it," she murmured, lowering her tone of voice a bit. She was pretty sure most of Lucine's other stuff was on the property, so one single book wasn't a big deal. She wasn't going to get rid of perfectly good things that he had used within the house during his time here. That seemed too extreme, considering others could use it and recycle it for their own. She just wouldn't be one of those people who did. Maybe.

Eyeing the floor as he spoke, she started gnawing on her lip when she thought back to what did bring Lucien to the house. She knew Chad knew what happened, why he was at the sea in the first place, but wasn't too sure if Lucien himself told the other residents of the house. It wasn't necessarily for her to tell. It was his story after all.

It was all by chance, meeting Lucien and bringing him to the haven. She had been down by her designated spot at the harbor, going there after having one of her worse nightmares. She didn't bring anything with her. Not her drawing materials, or music, she just sat there and stared at the larger than usual waves. She wasn't even paying much attention to her surroundings, only to what was placed in front of her in the ultimate picturesque scene, but then... something happened. She didn't even know anyone was around her until her mind, as it does, slipped into someone else's. She was surprised, she had better control than that over her powers usually, but between her own high running emotions and the obvious ones the boy was experiencing, it just happened naturally. But she didn't expect to see what she saw. Instead of the sleepy early morning thoughts most humans had, that either contemplated the wisest things in the world, or thought about the most primal things, his was repeated on a recurring memory. All Winter saw was flames, and screaming, and she could feel the loneliness the boy felt, She could feel his want to just end it all, see why he came to the rocky waters. She could see him mimic other peoples powers in that god forsaken test lab, and she spurted out what she did practically every god damn time, always feeling embarrassed of it afterwards. "you're one of us!" Seriously, who says that, she always sounded like some crazy person when she did. But, the things that happened afterwards went pretty fast She explained to him what she was, and what she was doing there. What and who was in the harbor, and then just invited him to stay. Imagine everyones shock when Winter showed up at the door with another person. Usually she had some warnings to give to the house as to who she and Chad was tracking, who was bringing in, but this was just as spontaneous as the boy, Lucien's, nature.

She knew about his past, so she knew where his hatred of humans could stem from what was done to him. She just had no idea what set him off, what made him do what he did. "I guess..." she mumbled again, with a small shrug of her shoulders at his statement. She should have seen he could have ended up this way. It would have saved all of them a lot of pain and time.

Leaning into his hug, she still kept her own arms wrapped around herself. "My backs fine, just have to make sure to sleep on my side." She smiled weakly. The incident occurred almost a year ago, but her back still never healed right. It healed enough so there was no infection or severe muscle damage, but she really should have seen a doctor instead of just having a healer go at it. She didn't car, however. How was she supposed to explain what had happened to a doctor? Not that she would have gone anyways. In all honesty she didn't care much about what happened to her back that night, if it hadn't have been her, he probably would have struck Chad with the knife with a more fatal wound than what he gave her. There was no regret in what she did.

Letting out a weak chuckle at his statement, she turned her head slightly to see him walk out of his room. Pacing around for a couple of seconds, she flopped herself onto his bed, and opened the book he had to a random page, tracing her dainty fingers over the off-white pages. Flipping to the last page, she eyed it without reading, as she never fully finished her books. She never ever read the last pages, so the story never ended. In a moment of instinctive action, she ripped the page out of the book and folded it neatly, tucking it up her sleeve. Chad, if he ever finished the book, would know where to find it. Winter just would keep it safe with her. A momento of sorts.

Making her way down the steps, to her surprise seeing everyone but the ominous Val, she kept silent as she listened to them talk. They acted as if they were forcibly kept in the house, which in reality, was not even remotely true. It was kind of funny seeing them this way. It really did make them seem like a family.

"There's not much to do in town for fun," she pointed out, "we could go to the beach or to the little shopping village," she suggested, to those who looks like puppies desperate to go on a walk. In all honestly, she wouldn't mind at all herself, as long as it wasn't over crowded. They could also afterwards have dinner, as the pizza Danny suggested sounded awesome, and just chill around, introducing themselves to Aiden. Some peoples powers took more explanation than others, but it was all fair for everyone in the house to know of each other abilities and such. As for knowing each other histories however, that was a matter of trust.

Will smiled only slightly when Scarlett stated that. He hated when people wouldn't describe things to him. He knew it wasn't Scarlett's fault that she didn't know this, only Robin did, but it didn't make him feel any better. He couldn't even muster up a sarcastic remark, instead falling silent except for the soft guitar playing.

Robin took a look at the drawing before touching Will's arm that was offered. Robin and Will are silent a moment before Will nods his understanding and relaxes slightly. It was a blessing that the two could talk without talking. It kept things that embarrassed both boys from being announced, which was so very important.

Will and Robin both smiled without looking up from their hobbies as they listened to Danny and Scarlett interacting. The two were both interested in getting girlfriends though neither were really interested in any of the girls in the house that way. Will had been dating someone for a while until they broke up around a year ago. He wasn't necessarily ready for a new girlfriend, but Robin was. He wasn't hunting for one, but he wasn't ignoring girls either.

Robin and Will shook their heads at Scarlett's question, instead stating simply that it was Chad. When Scarlett, moments later, ruffled Danny's hair, both boys winced inwardly. They weren't sure who Danny liked, but if it was Scarlett, it was clear to both boys she wasn't interested in the youngest of the household. It was strange, Will and Robin weren't the oldest, but they were the third and forth longest guests at Safe Haven, loosing the challenge only to Winter and Chad, two of the founders.

Aiden entered after Winter and stood soaking in the kitchen area. Will was careful to keep himself distanced from Aiden though since Robin was on the other side of the table, he wasn't as obvious to his being careful. Both refrained from moving for a moment while they concentrated until both relaxed visibly. If Aiden cared or asked about it later, they'd tell him why, but it didn't seem to be the right time as of right then.

When Aiden began speaking bout nearly burning the place down, both Will and Robin smiled and tried to conceal a few of their giggles before giving up and just laughing. Robin shook his head slightly as he moved his back again, stating, "Dude, don't worry." Winter and him. Winter by accident, him deliberately. Thank whoever watched over the world that the attack hadn't been three inches to the left, lest Robin wasn't there.

"Yeah Aiden, really. Robin and I nearly burned down the house when we arrived. We didn't know how to control ourselves and kind of, might have, lit the... Um... Kitchen on fire... We put it out though. Nothing happened really," Will stated with a smile as his tone slowed slightly and his tone became reminiscent. They all nodded when Aiden said he could set things on fire, knowing perfectly well what he could do without even having really talked to him about it.

Both Will and Robin were chill, neither really judging Aiden. Robin was studying him openly over his book, not really caring what he thought about the open staring. It was only that he wanted to be sure this guy was good, not bad, and nothing like certain people he knew and was thinking of. Will on the other had, was able to tilt his head back and let Robin make the decision on whether or not Aiden was cool or not. He was a better judge of character usually.

When Danny suggested pizza, both twins nodded and gave a chorus of "Sounds good", "I like pizza", and "Only if we go to the best pizza place near us". The group would know what pizza place they were referring to, neither actually knew the name, just referenced it as that. Will watched as Winter flopped on her bed before standing up a little bit later and coming downstairs.

Will gave Winter a wink before strumming on his guitar crazily and finishing, setting the guitar on the table then. He relaxed, smiling contently at his satisfaction of playing. Will and Robin both nodded as they listened to Winter, not even looking up from their nods. When she was done talking, Will leaned over and put his hand on Robin's shoulder so he would have to move again. The two nodded, looking each other in they eyes before sitting back again.

"We have decided we both would like to go to the beach tomorrow and the shopping village today. That's where the best pizza place ever is anyway," Will stated with confidence as if it was a congressional meeting. Robin nodded his agreement as he attempted to stand, paused in pain, then moved on. His face did little to reveal what was going on, only going blank for a moment before standing.

"Hey Will, come on, I'll help you download those books on your phone before we head out. We can meet you all down at the shopping place in half an hour if you feel like it," Robin declared as he motioned for Will to join him, leaving his book behind as he began down the hall. Will stood, nodding, smiling, giving a little excited wave goodbye, then heading down the hall with his guitar. He made sure to nonchalantly grab the bandages, sneaking it into his pocket and hoping nobody noticed. If they asked, he sprained his shoulder.

Will entered their shared room a minute later to see Robin sitting on a chair the wrong way. He wasn't wearing his shirt anymore, the thing tossed on the ground. Will could tell it was wet though he was sure nobody else could tell since it was the same color as Robin's blood. Robin was shuddering and shivering, freezing and hoping his back would stop burning. It wasn't just on hi back though, it wrapped from the middle of his back down to the right and ended right above his right hip bone near his stomach.

"Sh*t Robin. Why can't we just tell Winter? You know I can't tell where it opens with so much blood," Will stated, running his hands through his hair after tossing his guitar on his bed. Robin sighed, his breathing ragged.

"We can't Will, you know it as well as I do. She'd freak. She wouldn't do anything. I can't go to the hospital, and whatever is making it stay so long needs me to go there. It's easier to just deal with it," He groaned out softly. Will nodded slightly, sighing himself. He really didn't want to make Robin go to the hospital. They both got treated terribly, Robin especially. Normally, they were last to be seen when it was an emergency, even though others came in after them and their emergency was bigger, they were last, because they were supernatural. It sucked.

Will stood behind Robin as he tried to discern where the cut was again, not seeing the gruesome colors and torn skin, only the blood everywhere on Robin and the general area of the cut. He took deep breaths as he went to grab a wet washcloth and began washing Robin's cut. It was bleeding a lot more as of recently. Just yesterday they had to wrap it twice. Today, they'd wrap it twice again. Probably the time they were doing it now, and later that night when the bandage was soaked through again.

Two or three minutes later, Will heard the door creak, but didn't look up right away, busy with trying to gently probe Robin's back to find the cut without making his brother scream in pain. He was holding it in, biting down on a sleeve of one of his shirts as he struggled to keep silent. Blood was all over Will's arms from his clumsy movements with the inability to see where his hands were moving, only being able to feel since he couldn't channel electricity though them in order to avoid shocking him or Robin from the wet blood. Robin was drenched in sweat from controlling his electricity so carefully and the pain.

XXXAs she plucked her guitar strings she only had the time to think. She'd played the song so many times it didn't take thought. And the thoughts that began to invade her mind were far from pleasant. Valerie knew all to well where it was going, and she tried hard to ensure that from happening.

The memories of her life before practically stunned her. Things that reminded her of it did as well. It was like she was back there, reliving it. The pain, the abuse, the names. It floods back in a moment. Those moments she can't breathe. Not that she wanted to back then. Now she could say with confidence she likes her life. Just not the recovery of what once was.

Thoughts were stopped when she heard the knocking of her door. Placing the guitar against her wall she stood up off her bed and went to the door to open it. She guessed it would have been Chad or Winter, but her guess was incorrect when she saw the sandy colored pyro at her door.

He looked just as shocked as she did when she opened the door, and it was then he began babbling. Much like Danny, but more coherent. Not that she minded Danny at all. She wished she could think of a way to help his strange estrogen induced speech impediment. It wouldn't serve him well to have later in life. Valerie didn't want to imagine what would happen to the guy if the boss of his work was ever a female.

Aiden wiggled the book in his hands and she looked at in before nodding at him. She looked down the hallway to the staircase before looking back at him, cracking her knuckles behind her back.
"You have the wrong floor. The twin's room is on the first floor. By the living room, there's a hallway. They're the only room there. The house is easy to navigate once you go through it. You'll get there" she simply said offering a small half smile, responding to his question. Her face went straight once again.

She took a step forward before closing the door behind her and walking past Aiden, leaving him upstairs as she traveled down to the living room where people were gathered, the exception being the twins and well...Aiden. Valerie took a seat on the floor in front of the couch, wondering as to what everyone was planning to do. If she could help it, she wouldn't be out in the living room long. She just thought that people found her presence slightly strange, being she didn't uphold conversations like many.
