Alex Xiong's Story

Alex was startled at the sound of a hand slamming down onto a desk, causing him to jerk awake, him and his chair falling backwards onto the ground, a book hitting his face not a moment later.
"Ow! Hey! What the..!?" He sat up hold a hand to his head and rubbing his nose that was now throbbing. Looking up from his seat on the floor he saw his best friend Roxana staring down at him with a blank 'seriously?' type of stare.
"Uh... What's up?" He smiled a bit awkwardly.

Roxana thought she'd go and see Alex and bother him at his work for a while, since she didn't really have anything else to do. When she walked into the bookstore, she saw her very target of the day leaned back in a chair with his feet on the service desk, asleep with an open book covering his face. She sighed a little annoyed, then smiled. She'd give him a wake-up call, after all, Alex sleeping on the job? Not happening. And she'd love to see his reaction.
Roxana schooled her expression into a bored, annoyed look before walking up to the service desk and slapping her hand down to make a loud "POP!"
She watched as Alex jumped and fell backwards, his book smacking him in the face. It was sooo hard trying to hold back her laughter as he sat up rubbing his nose. Seeing her, he blinked before giving an awkward 'I'm in trouble' smile, "Uh... What's up?"
She couldn't hold it in any longer, and her bored, annoyed expression broke into hysterical laughter.
"Oh,"

As she walks down the road, she sees a store still open. 'There's a store open at 10:00pm now?' She notices a girl smacking the table laughing their head off and a boy getting up and taking a book off his face. She walks through the door. "What's going on?" The store was full of shelves and desks with lamps. 'This must be a book store...' She senses someone with air powers. She hates those people. "Ok I'm going to go..." She leaves the store. 'That was awkward.' She continues towards the woods.

"Ok Dare" The dragon gestures towards the tower in the middle of the lake. "Ugh. Climb the tower?" The dragon nods. She scowls. "Fine." She clambers up the tower until she reaches the top. "Done!" She uses a jet of water to slowly lower herself back down. "My turn. Truth or Dare?"

Alex could feel himself turning red from embarrassment and annoyance as Roxana started laughing. He was about to give her a retort when he heard the bell ring that signaled a customer entering the store and looked over as a girl's voice said, "What's going on?" Ah... she was kind of cute... wait, did she see..
His face turned more red as he just watched the stranger turn with an, "Ok I'm going to go," and leave the store. He facepalmed. Made a fool of himself... or Roxana made a fool of him in front of a cute girl... again.
He gave a heavy sigh lying back onto the ground, arms spread out on either side of him.

Roxana froze when she heard the bell ring, sweatdropping and turning her head stiffly towards the door, thinking it was the store owner, but instead saw a girl.
"What's going on?"
"Ah... um..."
"Ok I'm going to go."
"Eh? Ah, wait!"
She ran out yelling after the girl as she got farther away, "B-Be sure to come again!" She stood there for an awkward second before going back into the store, rubbing the back of her head. "Owner is going to kill us if he finds out we scared away a customer..."
She notices she doesn't see Alex. She walks over to the desk and peers over it to see Alex lying down with his arms spread wide and an annoyed, somewhat pouty expression as he stared at the ceiling. Roxana stared down at him, "Really?" She rolls her eyes at him as he ignores her, "Come on, you're supposed to be closing down shop right now. What if Owner walks in and sees you laying there?"
She watched as Alex sat up, rubbing the side of his head and after a moment giving a sigh before smiling. "Guess I should get started then, huh, especially since Roxana is here to-"
"Nu-uh. Not helping," she cut him off, a smirk on her face as his mouth dropped open. "But... You..." he gave a light sigh, loosing interest, knowing she wouldn't help, "Fine."
"That's what ya get for sleeping on the job~"

Luxon walks along the beach after the run in at the book store. She hears a splash in the water and turns her head to see Mirox walking out of the water drenched. "Oh my god! Mirox, what were you doing in the water?!" Luxon says. Mirox blinks. "Oh. I just was going for a swim." Mirox lied. Luxon raises one eyebrow. "Really? In your normal clothes? Cmon don't lie to me!" Luxon says. In the background, she hears a bell ring and the boy and girl from the book store come on to the beach. "Great..." Luxon mumbles to herself.

Roxana walked beside Alex, laughing as they left the store. Alex, on the other hand, very obviously was pouting, annoyed, and giving Roxana the silent treatment. "See?" She asked, ruffling his hair as if he were a cute little kid, "Doing it by yourself wasn't that hard was it?" As they walked down the beach, Roxana loving how cute and childish her best friend was acting, she suddenly noticed a seemingly familiar face. She smiled, running ahead of Alex to meet the girl. "Hi! You're the girl who walked into the bookstore earlier, right?" She paused her face blushing as she remembered the scene, "Um, ah, sorry you had to see that, by the way..." She suddenly felt the presence of a fellow water user, her eyes switching to the other girl. She blinked, then offered her a warm smile.

Alex was purely annoyed with his "so-called" best friend. The whole time he'd been cleaning, organizing, and closing up shop, Roxana was teasing him. She could have at least helped to organize and make sure all of the books were in order... geez...
Roana ruffled his hair, talking to him like a kid, which he hated, but went along with for the simple fact that he was ignoring her at the moment.... Wait where was she..? Roxana ran ahead of him, "H-Hey!" but she was already far ahead. Then he noticed what she'd run to. It- It was the girl from the shop... His face went with major embarrassment. Two. Two cute girls! I... he facepalmed, I hope my "so-called" best friend won't embarrass me... again...

"Hmph." Mirox says. She closes her eyes and tilts her had to the side. She doesn't like people smiling at her. Luxon turns around. "Um, ah, sorry you had to see that, by the way..."
"What happened in there? It was a mess in that book shop!" she says. Mirox walks away. "Mirox! What's wrong with you? You've been a real jerk!" Luxon shouts to Mirox.

"Ah," Roxana waves her hands in front of her, "Don't mind it..." Though she's never had a fellow water user blow her off before. It was a little disheartening to say the least.

"What's going on?" Alex finally caught up. Apparently something had happened because the cute girl with the blue hair was walking away looking kind of annoyed, and the cute red headed girl was yelling at her. "Did I miss something?" Roxana shook her head in a 'Stay out of it. This is between girls' sort of way. He raises an eyebrow at Roxana, "What did you do this time?" he sighed out. In return, Roxana gave him a blank stare before punching him on the arm, "Ow! What was that for?" Roana proceeded to roll her eyes before turning her attention back to the pretty red head.

"This idiot," she pointed at Alex who was starting to tick her off. Did he think everything was her fault all the time? "Was sleeping on the job. I decided to give him a wake up call. That's all." She heard him mumbling under his breath beside her about how it was her fault he got hit in the face with a book and her fault that he looked bad in front of this girl... Yeah, he definitely thought everything was her fault, though thinking about it she couldn't really blame him. She liked messing with and embarrassing him. He just gave really cute and funny responses, she thought.

Luxon blinks. She'd seen that face before but not from just the book shop. She felt there was some distant connection with the four. 'Wait a minute... This girl smiled at Mirox so the other boy controls air?' she thinks. She needs to leave before she starts being rude. "Well its been nice chatting. Bye." she says. She walks back to the store she works in and goes to the door at the back again. She tries opening it and it opens this time.

Roxana crossed her arms as the girls left. "Well, that was definitely what you'd call 'short and sweet', wouldn't you say?" Roxana looked over at Alex, noticing he had a weird expression of mixed exhaustion, confusion, and annoyance. She gave a softer smile than she had all day. He must be really tired. "Well!" She said, clasping her hands behind her back, "I guess I'll see you tomorrow... Sorry about everything today. Bye!" and she ran off towards the little place she called home.

Alex was suddenly alone as the two girls left, and then Roxana left. He just stood there on the beach for a while, just confused and tired before he sat down in the sand facing the waves. "Man. What's with today?" He always thought it was relaxing, sitting there, feeling the breeze running off the tops of the water. It was a gentle breeze, slow enough and yet strong enough to feel the wind's caress as it passed over his skin and through his hair. He sighed, finally starting to feel a little relaxed. Maybe he would go there. He was sure Moxie would be waiting for him.

Alex finally moved from his spot on the beach, deciding to head towards his favorite little secret spot. His own little hideaway that no one but him could go. He ended up at the edge of a cliff area. With a smile, he shoved his hands into his pockets, closing his eyes before simply leaning forward and letting himself fall off of it. Just as he'd expected, the wind caught him. He opened his eyes to see his very own safe haven laid out in front of him. A second later, his favorite wolf spirit appeared running with the wind as she stopped before him, tilting her head.
"Hey there, Moxie. Were you waiting for me?" He reached out, stoking the wolf's fur, and the wolf responded by leaning into his touch before disappearing with a gust and reappearing behind him, nudging him with her nose. "Woah! Alright, haha, I'm going."

Roxana got home to a quiet house. Figuring her dad was already asleep, she made her way upstairs to her room. Today had been eventful to say the least. She still couldn't get over the fact that a fellow water user had blown her off, but she figured some people just wouldn't like her... Maybe she'd go and see Jinix tomorrow.
