Little did anyone know that the seas today held a ominous, lurking predator. Far in the distance, a woman stood at the bow of her ship, the Sanguine Wolf, and sailed with purpose to the seaside base. She usually went for towns and big cities with aristocrats and such, but she had little choice. The naval town with it's modest base was the closest thing, and well, their misfortune- - not hers.

As the ship grew closer to the shoreline, Kita whistled, summoning her crew to her. "Listen up! I want this to be a clean sweep. Women and children are not to be harmed, and only kill if they brandish a weapon at you and resist! We need supplies is all today so take all of one item from each building, but if there are any nobles or aristocrats who have their homes nearby, feel free to loot them at your leisure. Final rule. If ANY of you decide to let out your perverted side and take a woman against her will, You will not suffer the pirate code punishment of death. No, that is too lenient a punishment. If I find any of you sink so low, I will have your manhood cut off, you will receive forty lashes bareback, and left on a puny, forsaken island to be marooned with a knife and one canteen. You will not even get a pistol. All clear?"

She looked around with fierce eyes at the crowd, mostly men, and a few women all under her command. They knew her rules and her codes, and to defy them would incur her wrath. Only a very brave or very foolish person would dare go against Kita, for she was absolute in her rules. Like all pirates, she followed articles, and each crew member was given an equal share, and compensated for loss of limb or for injury, and would gain some extra. As captain, she got half, the rest was distributed evenly to each and every crew member on her ship. Punishments could be debated on when they caught a rule breaker, but some rules were not to be negotiated. Kita had final say, and if she was set on something, nothing would change her mind. Nothing.

With a nod, the pirate queen raised her sword as they came into the docks. "You know the drill, now move out!"

William had arrived in the Port Town from the Halfway inn he rested at the other night. Knowing it was a Navy station he thought it an ample opportunity to check their bounty board to see if there was any local bounties to take in. Then he would settle into another inn and look at another, more personal thing.

Stored in his coat was a strange stone tablet, the size of his hand, yet as light as a feather. It was depicting several strange markings, almost similar but not close to a map of some form. It was then he heard the screaming when he walked a few blocks down a street. It only meant one thing.

"Pirates.." Will muttered. "If they find the tablet, I'll have to fight to my last breath, or at least break the tablet to make sure the stories of it die with me." With that said he gripped the sword he carried and rushed as fast as he could towards he marketplace, as that was the source of the ruckus thus far. He saw them, rapscallions grabbing food, supplies, and the likes. Any person who looked like they were rich were stripped of jewelry. He then saw a slightly rebellious pirate trying to intimidate a young woman, sighing, the slightly intermediate bounty hunter punched the blackguard in the face.

The man followed suit by punching William, but it caused his clothes to slightly flare up and show the tablet he was carrying. The Pirate saw it and gave a shout. "Oy captain! This guy has some sort of stone object!" The moment he said that the Pirate felt a kick to his gut sending him flying as he began to try and run from the situation when a man slightly larger then Will grabbed him around his neck. The man then reached in and pulled the tablet out.

"What is this you scrawny maggot?!" The man holding his neck tightened his grip as he said it.

"Go ahead and kill me... I won't tell you illiterate walking sacks of money anything." William gave a choked up laugh before he felt the man's knee on his stomach. It was a well placed blow as the man dropped him. William ended up sprawled on the floor feeling close to blacking out. The last thing he thought he saw was the outline of a woman amongst the other pirates. Then he slipped into unconsciousness.

"Hey now, that's enough right there lads. Lady Kita doesn't want no fuss today, just supplies. If ye want his stuff, just take it right quick." came a young man's voice, the tone surprisingly light and friendly-sounding.

"Who the hell asked you Gavin?" growled the smaller of the two pirates harassing the man, the bigger one dropping the owner of the strange tablet with a satisfied thud.

"Doesn't matter a tad. The lady will be mad she will." the one named Gavin replied, his friendly voice slightly harder in warning.
------

Kita of course joined her crew on the land, deciding she'd take gunpowder from the navy's armory. After all, she trusted her fellow pirates to handle the food and other provisions. Slipping through the crowds of frantic townsfolk, the young woman kept herself hidden long enough to wait for the small naval force to rush out of their barracks, leaving the base unattended without meaning to. A simple mistake. Kita grinned, slipping inside to fetch some well-needed gunpowder.

She emerged several minutes later, having a heavy sack over her shoulders. She had taken as much as she could carry from the barrels of gunpowder, content to bring the supply back to her ship herself.

As she got further from the base and closer to her ship, it became apparent that things were going overboard, and some of her crew were clearly disobeying orders. Kita's satisfaction died in an instant, her crew's behavior earning them a furious look of scorn and disgust. "Dammit!" She hissed under her breath, already plotting the punishment the crew would face for such blatant disregard for her rules.

Dropping her sack of pilfered gunpowder, the pirate captain reached for her pistol, about to send out a signal when she heard a commotion from several members of her crew. Her first mate Gavin, and two of the newer members of her crew. Marching over to them, she grabbed the larger man, Don, by the collar of his shirt, pulling him off the now unconscious figure.

"Enough of this you big oaf! Grab your loot and go!"

"This fella had somethin strange on 'im..." protested Don with a frown, huffing indignantly, though he ignored the one he'd just kicked.

"I don't care! Grab it and move on! We don't have time to waste here, besides, the navy might have ships nearby we didn't notice yet. Now leave him and get back on board...and carry that gunpowder since you decided to lollygag around too much!" Kita barked, snatching the tablet from Don with a glare. While she was curious, she wasn't about to be a sitting duck. She could inspect anything they got once they were safely away from port.

Gavin nodded to Kita before he walked with Don, a bag of potatoes over his shoulder. Kita would have followed, but out of the corner of her eyes, she caught the pirate she had begun to secretly dub 'Don's shadow' harassing a woman. Any calm she had left was gone in an instant as the man grabbed the woman forcefully, slamming her against the outside of the blacksmith's shop. The woman screamed as the pirate tugged at her clothes, the soon to be ex-crew member intent on amusing himself with his victims fear and resistance.

Just as the man was about to cut into her blouse, a sword stabbed through his shoulder, just a bit inside past the armpit. Oh, Kita would not kill him yet..that was too easy a punishment for scum. "It seems I have stumbled across a sack of dog shit. My deepest pardon's my lady, rest assured, this man will suffer a thousand fold for what he was about to do...." With a fire in her eyes, the woman shoved the shouting, screaming man to the ground. Her sword withdrawn from his shoulder. Turning to Don and Gavin as they looked behind at the screams, she barked an order. "Gavin, seize him! Chain him up and drag this filthy pustule to the ship!" she shouted, her first mate nodding and already walking over, ignoring the look on Don's face.

Turning to the large male, Kita parted her lips to instruct him to pick up the sack of potatoes Gavin had to drop to follow the order when she noticed the still unconscious form of the man with the strange tablet. Glancing at the strange item she held, Kita glanced between it and the previous owner before making her decision.

"Don, new orders. Bring him along!" she instructed, tossing several gold pieces from her small coin purse to the terrified woman.

Hauling the potatoes and the gunpowder over her shoulders, Kita practically threw them on the deck of her ship before she raised a pistol in the air, sending off four rapid shots. Her signal for "get your ass back here now or I will skin you alive."

As the rest of her crew gathered on board the ship, the captain began to pace, indicating everyone line up along the deck as if for inspection. Kika, was livid. As the crew lined up on the deck, still parked in the harbor, she walked along the line, seething. She had never been this mad in a long time.

"Pathetic...absolutely pathetic! What in the seven hells were you doing?! I gave you all simple instructions. Do not hurt children. Do not hurt women. Injure if they try to stop you, and kill only if they try to kill you first. Take supplies, one supply from each building: example- take all the flour from one house, leave the rest of their things alone. Go to the next house, gather all the weapons. House three, gather all the bread. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!!!!" She stabbed the rail with a dagger, making most of the crew flinch, positivily livid with anger. "And what do I see? You destroying a town with no regard for my instructions. Looting, killing left and right. Were my instructions really so hard? WERE THEY?!" Kika drew her blade, pointing it at the throats at each and every pirate. "I'm disgusted, you make me sick! I'm ashamed to be associated with scum who have no respect for the code! I did not come here, to slaughter people like pigs! We came...for supplies, and only supplies, do you fucking understand me?!"

"And furthermore, I see I didn't make it clear to you greedy fools what my rules are." Kita went on, pointing to the reckless, disobedient pirate, now bound tightly courtesy of Gavin.

He heard a voice shouting, it was enough to make him stir. He heard gulls calling out in the wind as well, but he was still dazed enough as per to not know where he was. Will couldn't tell. But the moment he opened his eyes, he found himself in a room, with a door with bars on its window. The situation seemed easily interpret was that he was in some form of a cell. Looking to his belt he found they had confiscated his sword. "Crap, that was a unique craftsmanship too." He muttered.

He reached into his clothing to rub his chest, but then he realized that a feeling was missing. The feeling of a smooth, silky texture of rock. The tablet was gone. His eyes widened in alarm at the sound of those news. He began to panic as he breathed in and out. "Thieves! Thieves! Bastards! I'll hunt you till the end of time till you return what is rightfully mine!!"

---

His screams were obviously drowned out by the Sanguine Wolf's Captain's raging anger at the slight disaster of the supply run. Don's Shadow, who wasn't entirely impressed with the captain to begin with just sneered in slight contempt. "Well your rules don't stick with me you little wench! It's always bad luck when women are captain anyway!" Most of the crew collectively started to sweat in nervousness, but the members that were women silently began to crack their knuckles as if they wanted to rip him to shreds. One was red headed woman almost as old as Gavin.

"Lemme at 'im captain! I'll unman him before he draws his next miserable breath!" The woman, whose name was 'Fireball' Claire shouted as most of the crew tried to keep her in line.

---

William looked up at the noise and tried to listen in on what was going on from his cell, only for him to slip and hit the door causing him to sit down on the cold floor of his cell, rubbing his head. "Ow..."

Glaring down at Don's friend with disgust in her eyes, Kita promptly kicked him in the ribs, pointing her pistol at him. "Silence! You have forfeited your position, your manhood, and everything granted to you aboard my ship. The crew may dish out your punishment of forty lashes bareback. Then, you shall be castrated. Finally, the crew is to pick any small island we pass of their choosing and maroon you upon it with one water flask and a knife." Kita looked up at her crew, nodding at Claire with a half smile. Claire was a strong, able woman. A worthy addition to any crew.

"See that he gets his punishment Claire. You all are welcome to take part in his sentencing. Any loot we picked up will be divvied up after dinner. Dismissed." Kita excused her crew, feeling the stone in her jacket pocket as she headed down towards the brig.
-----

"No need to shout mate. Yer things be safe and sound. Lady Kita can't trust ye yet though, so we had to confiscate yer sword fer now. I'm sure she'll give it right back eventually." Gavin mused, looking over at the prisonor currently shouting at him and his captain. Smiling, Gavin carried down a tray with some bread and water, stopping outside the sword to look over the man behind the bars. The brown haired male said nothing, watching the now disarmed captive as he moved about, only to see him slip and hurt his head.

"Careful mate. Don't want ye hurting yourself." Gavin remarked casually, not even noticing his captain come down the stairs.

"You're awake then. Good." Kita silently raked her eyes over his form, appraising him in her mind. "Who might you be, stranger?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest as she awaited an answer.

William slightly glared up at the young man as he felt ready to find a way out of his cell, however the boy had food. So the fact that they're offering it made him unable to argue that much. Sighing he silently heard the gleeful shoutings of people. "Must be something up there." He muttered but he heard someone else walking up to his cell and mentally prepared himself. It was then he saw her.

Whilst his stance and emotions towards his captors were still negative, he noted that the woman in front of him was attractive. He shook off those thoughts reminding himself why he was mad at these people. If they had the Tablet, that means he has a big problem with them. Then he heard the woman talking and beginning what would probably be a long interrogation.

Glaring up at the two people before him, he stood up so he can stare into their eyes. "My name, is William O'Cyrus, and you stole something that is rightfully mine. Return it. Now. I won't ask again for its return." He stated firmly before looking around. "Uhm....where exactly, are we?"

Gavin tutted as he shook his head, knowing the punishment was sure to be a unpleasant one. Reaching for the cell door to enter and present the prisoner with the food, the young man noticed his captain, turning so he could salute her. She saluted back, approaching the cell and entering, knowing the ropes on the man's wrists would keep him bound without fail. Gavin stepped back, allowing his captain to take it from here.

Kita looked at the admittedly fine looking male with an annoyed expression, brows furrowed as he stood and answered her with a demand. Drawing a dagger from a sheath strapped to her thigh, the pirate queen pointed it at her captive's chest. "I don't take orders from you." she snapped, lifting her hand and leveling the blade with William's throat. Stepping closer, she touched it to his chin ever so slightly, advancing towards him instead of away. "I will decide if you get your treasure back. For now, you will not be allowed personal luxuries. Food and necessities will be all. Challenge me again, and I most assuredly will keep your precious stone." Sheathing the blade, Kita then took to pacing in front of the blonde. "You are aboard my ship, the Sanguine Wolf. If you impress me enough, you may stay. Cause me trouble, I will leave you at next port. Try to kill me or any of my crew, I throw you overboard...Understand?"

Lifting her leg, Kita shoved the male back down via the ball of her boot-covered foot placed squarely on his chest. "Now then, William O'Cyrus...tell me..what manner of stone is this?" Kita withdrew the stone from her jacket pocket, holding it up in a question.

William almost felt afraid for his life within the few short minutes she held the dagger at almost every vital strike she could hit him with. She coldly explained the gravity of his situation quite well to him. She was advancing towards him as he felt almost like a cornered animal in front of its natural predator. He was on a ship, that explained the gulls. So now he knew the Pirates had captured him. However, he supposed the reason he was spared the normal treatment was obvious enough.

She sheathed the dagger after making it quite clear he wasn't the master of his fate on the ship at this moment and explained the rules to him delicately about the tablet, and his ultimate fate if he misbehaved. He heard the sound of Whip Cracking from above and visibly winced. It came at the exact moment before she asked if he understood. "On my family's grave I d-" He grunted as he was kicked back down. Now he started to get embarrassed about having a good looking lady beating on him, but with his current condition he had no choice.

She then got him right at the throat with her next question. Then she pulled the tablet out. If he did or tried anything he knew he'd be in trouble. He sighed. "A piece of Ancient Craftsmanship. I don't know the manner of rock or stone it was crafted from. But there's a lot of things with just one tablet you'd be asking me more questions about the more I talk right now. It's been in my family for generations, since it was given to us for the safekeeping from those who already know what it is, or possesses another tablet just like that one."

He sighed, "In closing of the first of many questions, I'm saying that the tablet you now hold in your hand, isn't the only one in existence, it's more of a one of a certain number, which together with the rest of the pieces, form something I'm sure will tease your wildest dreams: A Map."

Eyes fixed on her captive like a hawk, Kita saw a flicker of fear in his eyes as he realized his situation. Excellent, a healthy dose of fear was good now and again. Deciding he was behaving well enough, she motioned to Gavin to hand over the plate of food as the blonde began to answer her.

If his answer surprised her, she did not show it, merely arching a brow slightly. Glancing from William to his precious tablet, she pursed her lips in thought. One of many tablets. Ancient. A map. She fought to hide her intrigue. Could he be telling the truth? She detected no hint of a lie...and it appeared legit enough. Turning it over in her hands and testing it's weight, she finally glanced back at William. "A map you say? I don't suppose you know what it is a map to...or how to read it for that matter?" she asked flippantly, knowing to sound too eager was not in her favor.

Motioning to her first mate once more, she bid him to show William's pilfered sword. "Your belongings are fine for the time being. I shall be keeping them until further notice. Behave, and you will be allowed to have them eventually. The better you treat me and my crew, the better you yourself will be treated. Be warned though, trickery of any kind will earn you my wrath. I am not above killing, but rest assured I will not do so without reason. Now then...."

"You will not see land for a while yet. I may as well introduce myself." The woman said, stepping so she stood a mere foot in front of her prisoner. Kita smirked, spreading her arms slightly and presenting herself. "I am known as 'quick-sword' Kita. Welcome, Mr William...aboard the Sanguine Wolf!" she finished with a slight bow and a tilt of her hat.

William paused in his eating and rubbed his ears. "The Sanguine Wolf? You're Quick Sword?" He swallowed in slight nervousness even more. He was a bounty hunter to be certain but one would be mad to go against a Pirate of her reputation. He sighed as he nodded his head in understanding his imprisonment. "As for if I can read the map or know where it leads, I heard the stories of my father tell me about a secret island that has something of great value to it. I don't know what it has. As for the piece my family has had, there's not much to look at. It only seems to show a bit of the map along with some kind of landmark. I never bothered to find the other pieces."

He shrugged as there was suddenly a blood curdling scream as the ship then began to move out of port. "Someone on your ship is having a bad day? Ahem, sorry. Anyway, I never bothered to look because, the caretakers my family knew are either dead or forced to sell their pieces. They're either in rich men's stash of loot, or kept by gangs of other pirates, who knows?" William then began to eat the meal given to him.

"That's all the secrets I'll give about it today, Captain Kita. I hope we chat more soon, treat that Tablet with care while I'm in here too please? It's all I have left of my family name." He didn't think he was in a spot of appealing but nonetheless he hoped it worked.

"So you've heard of me?" Kita asked, a pleased tone and expression on her face. Mulling over his answers, the pirate captain glanced down at the tablet in thought, mind racing with the possibilities. So he wasn't even entirely sure what this tablet's secrets were. Unless he was lying...but if he was, she'd find out soon enough. Pocketing the tablet in her coat, the woman showed no sign of dismay or discomfort at the ear-piercing shriek from above. The punishment was being meted out well it seemed.

Though she fought to hide it, the captain was surprised by her captive, his request nothing but sincere. She was silent for a moment, looking contemplatively at the surprisingly handsome male. Catching herself before she appeared weak before him, she nodded once, arms folded over her chest. "You needn't worry yourself. I don't intend on letting anyone take it from me alive. Not, mind you, that I suggest you try. Gavin." Kita turned to the brunette male behind her, the young man stepping forward without hesitation.

"Cut the ropes from his wrists. I trust you can re tie him should it be necessary."

"Of course lady Kita." Gavin stepped up to William as he ate, drawing a dagger and slicing through the ropes binding his hands in front to allow him full mobility. Stepping back beside and slightly behind his captain, Gavin was watchful should the blonde try anything.

"You will stay down here for now." Kita informed William, walking outside of the cell with Gavin before pausing, turning her head to face William as she moved to close the door.

"As for what you hear, one of the men who accosted you is receiving his punishment for breaking my rules and pirate codes. Not only did he disobey me on the supply run, but he tried to rape a woman. I find death too quick and convenient for trash, so I had him castrated and whipped. He'll be marooned soon as well. I am fair, but I will personally make it my business if you harm my crew or act like a common thug."

With this, Kita gave him a half smirk, closing the door to the cell and locking it.

William could only watch Kita reply to his favor as the young boy was order to cut the bindings off his wrists. He simply only nodded to her promise and the fact he will still remain in the cell for the time being. William then only swallowed in nervousness as she explained to him the man he saw accost that woman was receiving a rather graphic punishment. He had to mentally shake that off.

He then heard the door shut and be locked. He observed his cell with more care. It was as simple as it came, a bench for sitting, a chair for resting if he decided to move about, and to rest his jacket and shirt if need be. He decided he should possibly sleep off his meal as he waited for the captain to leave.

Once she did, William took off his jacket first and pulled off his shirt shortly thereafter, walked to the bench and went to sleep.

---

Meanwhile the Crew was having dinner and celebrating the day's work. The only person not celebrating was Don, who was bitter about his friend and what he considered his swiped from him by the captain.

Claire was particularly satisfied. She wanted to give the guys another round of grog on her for her part in the punishment but decided to not, seeing some of their behaviors.

Kita watched the festivities with a half smile, leaning against one of the masts as she observed her crew gaily enjoying themselves. Well, all except for a certain ex-crewmember. He'd be marooned tomorrow once they passed land to drop him at.

"Take him to the brig, chain him to the wall though," Kita ordered Claire and Jasper, another loyal and long-time crew member.

Finally making her way to the center of the festivities during a particularly jaunty bout of dancing, the captain held up a hand to signal her crew to attention. "Right then, you lot ready to divvy any spoils we did get? I know this was a supply run, but you did get some loot back.. We'll divvy it out, and then we need to go over inventory, adding the supplies we gathered." The second part was met with child-like grumbles of resignation. The crew groaned, knowing it was important, but not particularly thrilled about the chore. IT was the same reaction when the deck hands were chosen for the day, the daily cleaners the least favored job. Thankfully, no one person was stuck in the task, and Kita made sure to rotate the unpleasant chores regularly.

"That's enough ou lot! Now then, we'll start with..."
-----------------------------------

The brig door opened with a squeak, light coming in from the steps and the doorway leading to the upper decks. Ignoring the now awake Dirk, Kita paid no mind to his agonized groans as she approached the second cell with William.

"Rise and shine. Time to eat and scrub the deck!" Placing a platter of food before her prisoner herself this time, Kita stepped back to take a mug of water from Gavin as he came several steps behind. She allowed William a more generous portion and selection this time, his plate holding an apple, a buttered buiscuit, and some jerky as well as the bread and cheese.

"You'll be watched all day, and I'll see if you are able and willing to be useful. You don't get your belongings back yet, so don't ask."

William woke when the Captain opened the door. She seemed to be in a mood to giving him a small test of usefulness. He swallowed nervously at the sound of it as he pulled on his shirt and walked to the platter and quickly wolfed down as much as he could hold in his stomach for that time. She then stated what will be done for the day and answering a question in his head that he never asked.

"Wasn't planng to ask." William muttered as he got up and pulled on his jacket. He walked towards the door but stopped and moved to let the captain pass first before he intended to follow her. "What shall I scrub the deck with, may I ask?" He asked as he followed her.

"Good. You learn quick." Kita commented, nodding her head in approval as he assured her he wouldn't ask for his belongings. She was surprised and impressed her captive was taking his situation so well. Heading up onto the main deck, the captain let out a content and happy sigh as the morning sun hit her skin. The ocean breeze accompanying it was perfection. "This is life!" she marveled aloud, turning around as William asked what he was to clean with.

"A holystone to sand it, and then a mop, brush, and sea water." she answered as if it were a well-known fact. Without even summoning him, her first mate held out the scouring holystone, mop, and a bucket already full of seawater.
"'Ere you go mate." Gavin said, smiling as usual.

"You'll answer to our boatswain, Jasper." Kita added on, nodding towards the man in charge of the ship's maintenance.

William simply nodded his head, and took the equipment required and proceeded to do as he was told to clean the deck. He followed the steps as it was told to him by the captain and kept himself concentrated on that work. He caught how the light touched the captain and genuinely felt slightly enamoured but shook it off quick and worked a little faster in the process.

That was how it was for the first few hours of the day. Working, mopping, working, mopping, repeat. He felt eyes boring into him and peeked over his shoulder. He recognized the man who got the drop on him. Don looked bitter, he had a club on his belt and several pistols in holsters today for some odd reason.

Don had a long night, and he thought over the misfortunes and embarrassment he was given, both him and his friend. At dawn he finally decided to do something and be well prepared when the time came to maroon his friend, or so the Captain said. "That She-Devil won't be Captain for very longer though." Don thought.

William could sense the strong hostility and kept working, but kept the mop extremely close to him. If the man did anything, William wouldn't want to be caught off guard.

Jasper occasionally observed and came over to inspect William's work and behavior, though so far he showed no signs of anger or disapproval. The young man was doing as told, listening when instructed to do something differently without complaint. It was a nice change of pace, and Jasper found his job easier for the morning, glad he wasn't out of an assistant with Dirk about to be marooned.

As he finished checking on William again, Jasper once more returned to his own duties as boatswain, just in time to miss Don's approach to the prisoner. The large, burly male stopped two feet behind William, eyes hard but scheming. Voice lowered in a conspiratorial murmur, Don addressed the man he had grabbed the afternoon prior.

"Ye wanna get off this ship? Get back at the she-devil for stealin' ya away?" he urged, thinking he might as well get more force on his side if he had the chance.

William only glared at the big man. "I wouldn't trust you with my eyes closed. I suggest not going against the Quick Sword. You should just go now, before I show you a real demon." He stated calmly. Don shook his head in disappointment. Oh well, it was his loss. He'd be a causality in his plans then if he ever saw him and walked away. William quietly resumed his work.

----

Almost an hour later the ship stopped at an island that was well empty. The crew got up and began to be ready for the marooning to commence. Dirk was pulled out still in chains. Claire was making the plank well prepared for his jump to the island. She definitely wanted the man to suffer. She really did. She watched for the captain to show up.

However she spied someone waiting for her. Don, and he had a gun held upright. The moment the Captain would walk out, Don would aim the Pistol at her head, intent to hold her at gunpoint.

"Captain! Look out! Don's turning on us!" Was all she could get out when she noticed a mop being jammed into Don's face. Don gave a muffled yell of surprise.

"Sorry, but I cannot let you or whoever you got in on your scheme harm my father's Tablet as long as I live, that includes who carries it." William stated as he pulled the broom and flipped it around so the top of the broom was extended like a sword tip. Don took a look briefly at William's stance and laughed. William only gave a strangely cold smile.

Don was about to aim his pistol at William but he felt the blunt mop handle ram into his shoulder as if it was a wooden sword. The force caused Don to drop the pistol. The big man glared at William and grabbed the other pistol with his left hand and aimed again. He felt the same pain in his shoulder again but Don fired.

William backed up. A thin red line appeard on his face before the blood began to leak out from the grazed cheek on his face. Willaim's cold smile seemed to snap into shock and then a fury took its place. He slammed the handle into Don's manhood causing the big man to fall to his knees before he dropped the mop and gripped Don by the neck.

"This is what you did to me big guy! But this time... I'll snap yours real quick!" He stated with a cold smirk before he felt a blint force hit his head. He forgot about the club! William fell backwards in a daze. Don towered over him, ready to give the final blow.

"You should've taken my offer fool. Now your life is over and what was yours...shall be mine!" William felt as if the words Don said were true. Don was going to kill him. He passed out from the pain as Don readied to swing down to bash William's brains in.

The killing blow never came, a howl of pain issuing from Don's lips as he dropped the club and jerking forward into a crouched position, his just upraised hands now bleeding from a continuous slice across his closed fingers that had seconds ago held the weapon. Kita had hardly sliced him before stabbing her sword into Don's foot, piercing through the top of his shoe and pinning his foot to the wood of the deck. A quick slice of her dagger rid him of his gun belts, the leather holding his weapons falling to his feet. The captain was squeezed between Don and the fallen William, her eyes livid as she glared at the large male.

"What in the HELL is going on here?" she all but shouted, angry disbelief in her features as she looked from Don to her crew, eying them all like a hawk. She had thought she knew them all. Apparently she was wrong. Looking back up at Don, she ignored his hateful glare and his painful hiss of 'damn sea witch'. In spite of her anger, the young woman also felt a sinking disappointment and sorrow. What had she done to make these men hate her so? Despite this, she was harsh in her tone, snapping at Don.

"How dare you attack someone aboard my ship! You show no respect for the codes or my rules!"

"You show no damn respect for Dirk....bitch." Don snarled through his pain, only to let out a cry as Kita withdrew her blade from his foot and aimed it at his neck.

"Dirk knew my rules. I am not a prude, but I'll be damned if I allow my crew to act like savages. I take you in, and this is how you repay me?!" Kita fumed, eyes hard as she practically shook in anger. She had taken in almost all of her crew members personally. If they were in hard times, alone in the world, or subject to injustice in the world, she invited them to her crew if they seemed of strong mind or of strong spirit. Don had recommended Dirk come along after she went out to recruit him, and like any of her crew, she had trusted him at first. A mistake, she now realized.

He heard shouting. William's hand quivered as he opened his eyes. Kita was standing there, furious at Don's attempt at mutiny. Most of the crew were now shaking in their boots. Now even Don's followers were falling on their knees in fear of their captain's wrath, almost pleading for forgiveness. Don only glared at how bad the tables had turned, and it was all because of that scumbag with the really intriguing stone that his life turned upside down.

"Even a tightly knit crew has its problems." Don said with a pained smirk on his face. Claire angrily grabbed the chained Dirk in response.

"Captain, think we should give Ol' Dirk company then? We were just getting everything ready too." Claire stated, to try and bring things back under control and in normal circumstances. All the meanwhile William flopped over on where he was laying and slowly got up to his knees as he shook his head a few times and checking for any permanent damage from his head getting clocked.

"Bloody heck, that hurt." He muttered in pain as he grabbed his mop and cleaning supplies and kept cleaning without any hesitation. He kept cleaning so that way his own hostilities would fade. But he heard Don laugh as he was getting chained up by several other crew members.

"And look at that! You're a hardy one!" Don stated, in a taunting action towards him. "Just what sort of prisoner knows how to bite back?"

"The type who has lost everything else already. You're lucky I didn't have my sword. I'm not like Quick Sword, however if I did have my blade, your foot wouldn't just be stabbed." Will stated as he continued to do his assigned task as prisoner.

Don only scoffed as Jasper then dragged him towards Dirk. William almost swore the boatswain gave him a small thumbs up. Whether it was for still working or saving The Captain he'll never know. Sighing, he started his mopping again. He didn't want to be chewed out for anything at that moment. Mentioning the fact he lost everything made him rub on his back in a small, diagonal motion. And when he did that, he would remember what he considered true pain. The worst part about that was, he didn't even want to acknowledge it.

"If you had issues with me, you should have brought them up or asked for a counsel. I am fully aware and willing to go through scrutiny of my crew. After all, a crew has the right to dismiss an unfit captain. Instead you chose mutiny and disobedience." Kita said coolly, turning her back to the now chained Don, letting out a sigh. She nodded to Claire, gathering herself and facing her now banished subordinates and the rest of her crew.

"For these actions, you will be marooned along with your companion Dirk. While it is customary to row an ex crew member to the shore and then leave them, I believe in this circumstance you will both be plunged into the ocean with your hands bound in front of you. You will each get a dagger and a canteen of water." Kita motioned for her first mate, the brunette already holding some spare rope.

"Tie them so their wrists have only a few inches between them." the captain said before turning to the ones holding onto the chained men as Gavin began to work. "When Gavin gives you the ok that their wrists are secured enough, you may unchain them."

Kita glanced over as William spoke, the blonde not getting himself more involved even as Don taunted him. To her bafflement, William simply began to clean once more, his words and actions earning a puzzled look. He had been knocked unconscious for a moment and acted like nothing happened? What an odd man!

"You there...William. Sit down. I'm not about to have you pass out or stumble overboard from a concussion." Kita ordered, hands on her hips as she watched him carefully. "Christoff, you have a patient. The rest of you, back to your usual duties. I made the mess on deck, I'll clean it." Kita motioned the doctor on board, pointing William out to the slightly darker skinned male.

William silently complied, feeling slightly nervous about even speaking to her as she still hadn't decided his ultimate fate. However the Ship's Doctor walked up and approached The two people and then knelt down to have a look at William's condition.

"Hmm, Well as there is no bench here and seeing as it looks like I need to medically look into the case of that bump on your head," Christoff said as he poked the now slightly swollen area of the blow, "I am going to have to borrow you for a few minutes, and if need be send you back to your assigned quarters for the day to rest it off. I like to also give an examination to make sure you have a clean bill of health. With your permission of course, Captain." At Kita's signal he'd take William by the arm and lead him towards where he normally treats patients below deck.

In the meanwhile Gavin did as he was told and motioned for the men to take of the rebels' chains when he was done. Upon making sure everything else was in order he signaled Claire who then walked Dirk and Don to the Plank that lead to the ocean, their fates now certain to be confined on that Island.

----

It was close to sunset as Christoff came with several pieces of paper, some scrawled information about William's general health from height, width, weight, etc. One piece of paper however, was a sketch he took. He knocked on the Captain's Cabin. Upon getting the signal to enter he'd walk in trying to look dignified.

"Captain. I'd thought to lnform about Mr. O'Cyrus' condition. I did send him back to his cell after the examination just to be on the safe side in case he had a slight concussion. He shows signs of being a bit dazed from the blow, although a bit of bed rest does wonders. Anyway, that's not my main concern. I have here his new medical records, made by yours truly."

He gives the scrawled information first. "The thing I am here for, is that this sketch of his back is most disturbing and raises a lot of questions of his life before coming aboard, Captain." He turns the last parchment he has to her view. "Here is his back, but here is what disturbs me. This scar that runs from his lower back to about a little past the spine. He says it's an old wound at age twelve. But from the way it looks is the real thing disturbs me. The look of the cut captain. It's not by a knife or some incident with a whiplash. The way the cut looks makes me believe this scar was made by a sword, no doubts about it. Now who would do such a thing like that to a young boy?"

------

Meanwhile William is in his cell, lying down on the bench, his coat and shirt lying silently on the chair in the cell, whilst he thought he smelled the sweet smell of food cooking. He half wondered what his new fate would be. He hoped the Captain didn't need to learn too much about his medical situation.

Kita watched with a grim expression as the two were shoved into the ocean, shaking her head and wondering how she'd missed the signs of those not trustworthy to sail with. It was a shame, she had hoped they'd shape up. But they made the choice, and she was not about to let her crew act like they did, no matter the excuse.

She nodded to Christoff, allowing him authority to deal with the captive she had acquired the day prior. With a sigh, she picked up the abandoned cleaning supplies, kneeling down to scrub the fresh blood away as she said she would. Whoever made a mess on board was responsible for cleaning.

Tensing as a shadow paused over her, Kita relaxed upon seeing it was only Gavin, the brown haired male with a smile on his face- a content, mildly concerned one for the time being. "Shall I help ye captain?" the young man asked, earning an appreciative smile and a shake of the head. "Nay, you know I believe anyone who makes a mess should be the one cleaning it."

"Doesn't mean someone can't help."

Kita smiled at the always bright and optimistic male. "Thank you Gavin, but it's not a big mess. I'll be ok. But I'll call you if I need assistance."
------------------

The rest of her day had gone with a welcome normalcy, the pirate queen looking at the stone and sketching it out onto a parchment when Christoff knocked on her cabin door. Putting the tablet and her papers away, she nodded despite her crew member not being able to see her yet. "Come in." she said, granting the physician permission to enter her private quarters.

Kita made no move to interrupt, simply arching a brow as Christoff expressed concern over the exam. Peering down at the parchments as they were presented to her, the captain nodded in understanding, studying the notes and sketches Christoff had scribed. Wounds weren't uncommon, nor were scars. But that was a significant slash across his back, and one that could have killed him had it been deep enough. The story did admittedly sound a bit too vague.

"Did he give you any fuss or say what happened? At age twelve, his memory was surely fully functional." Kita asked, piling the papers and standing, indicating Christoff lead the way out. She wanted to talk to the man himself.

Christoff started walking on the captain's orders. "That's the interesting part. He told me that he got it when he was twelve only. But the look of bitterness on his face suggests it wasn't someone teaching him how to use it. In the meanwhile I tried to give any form of question about next of kin, and he sounded equally bitter when he said he doesn't really have a family anymore."

"That makes me suspect is that he's an orphan of some degree." Christoff concluded. "The Island you plucked him from is known for its 'highwaymen'. Common bandits if I ever heard of them. The presence of that, along with previous evidence, means all three things are connected. His home was raided by bandits for some unknown reason, William was wounded in either an attempt to help fight back or whilst fleeing and he was left for dead." Christoff concluded before giving a bitter smile.

"However, tis only a Theory. For I'm a Doctor and only good at healing sickness and ailments, and not a very good judge on the human mind." Christoff said in a humored way.

-----

William rested in his cell, unsure what time it was or when he had any time for Supper to be delivered before sleeping for the night. He placed a hand on the cheek that got cut and he sighed as he rolled over, his back to the cell door, his eyes on the wall in front of him. His mind then began to wander, causing him to think about the fact he helped Kita, although it felt more like stalling Don more then anything else. He was slightly glad Don and his friend were gone. The silent part of him that craves vengeance was satiated because of that.

Kita followed the doctor, hand to her chin in thought as she nodded. Mulling over the physician's words, she could reasonably believe that was the most likely scenario. And of course Christoff would worry about people, he was after all, a doctor. While she usually tried to leave people's personal business alone, Kita was admittedly curious. Besides, this was the only one she hadn't 'rescued.'

The doctor's self-critique earned a shake of the head. "No need to sell yourself short Christoff. That is the most likely scenario. Besides, you are more than just a good doctor, but you have a good head and heart, and you pay attention. You're logical. Easily worth your weight in gold my friend." With a pat on his shoulder, Kita surpassed Christoff and went down first into the brig, watching William like a hawk as she approached his cell.

"You passed your physical exam. Though I hear you have some old wounds. Normally I don't ask people about their lives or personal matters. However, you came aboard my ship by unusual circumstances. I don't know your allegiances, your history, or what secrets you hold. Now tell me, what manner of man are you?" Kita asked, not even turning around as Gavin entered with a bowl of stew and a mug of water.
