a character in “Saiyan Soul”, as played by Yorda

Description

Name: Akiko (Ah-kee-k-ho)

Picture: Image

Age: 8 years old
Height: 3'8"
Weight: 60lbs
Sex: female
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: sapphire blue
Blood Type: 0-
Body Type: small/ chibi
Adaptability Ratio: 5

* Fighting Style: soft

Race: Sayan

*Personality*
Akiko is cheerful, friendly, and full of energy. On the down side, the little sayan is also hyper, clumsy, curious to a fault, and has a short attention span. This can often lead Akiko, and anyone with her, into trouble. The little girl just lives to help others, even if doing so puts her in danger. She's very loyal to her friends and adopted family.

Equipment/Clothing: Akiko prefers light, loose fitting clothing that allows her to move quickly and freely. This includes light dresses/short combinations or shirts and shorts. Though, the girl is also very fond of kimonos and likes bright colors. Akiko is almost always bare foot.

Starting Power Level: 450

Training History: From the time she was learning to walk, Akiko's adoptive family was teaching her how to control her Ki. At first it was little things like forming balls of light, but as Akiko grew, so did her training. Because her adoptive family were of a peaceful race, Akiko leaned more of healing, and other defensive uses of Ki than offensive. By focusing her energy while in contact with another living being, Akiko leaned to share her Ki, Infusing it with the other being to heal them and/or restore some of their energy. Like Using Ki for battle, Akiko's ability to heal or re-energies others is dependent on how much energy she has. The stronger she is and the more energy she gains, the more Akiko can heal. Akiko's family taught her only basic, defensive fighting. Even that was focused more on Ki barriers, speed, agility, reflexes, and the ability to fly, than brute strength. It was all about out smarting your opponent and using their own strength, size, and momentum against them.

Biography:
The Planet and Race: The race known as the Tormi, located on planed Sakna, are a peaceful race of herbivores. Though they have knowledge of many forms of combat and the use of Ki energy, the Tormi only practice combat as a way to hone their bodies and clear their minds. Sakna is a dessert planet with two suns and no moon. The plants that grow there have adapted themselves to less water and excessive heat, as have the people. The Tormi have rough, sand-paper like skin in various shades of brown, from sandy to chocolate. They have no hair, but protective plates of scales on their heads to prevent sun burn and large, almost rabbit-like ears to help dispel heat. The Tormi do not sweat like humans, and have a higher body temperature. The are in much more danger of getting too cold than too hot. The Tormi have advanced technology but they rarely use it. Instead, the peaceful race prefers nature and the use of Ki to fulfill all of their needs.

Akiko's History: Akiko crash landed on Sakna in a pod when she was a baby. She was sent to conquer the planet, as many sayan infants are, but after being taken in and taught the ways of the Tormi, the child couldn't even think of enslaving or harming anyone. For four, happy years, Akiko lived among the Tormi. Though she was very different, they accepted her and raised her as one of their own, even teaching her to use Ki. Which, naturally, the little sayan excelled at. For eight years Akiko lead a happy, care free life among her adoptive family then The Invaders came. Ruthless and cold, they started enslaving the Tormi and slaughtering any who resisted. Both to save Akiko and in hopes that she may find help, the Tormi put Akiko into a new pod and launched her into space... Eventually, she crashed on earth.

So begins...

It was a wonderful day in Kosetsu Village and the surrounding aria. The sky was sunny and clear, the birds were singing, and for most, the mood was generally pleasant and calm. There was only one warning of things to come. A little white speck appeared in the sky. At first, even the keenest eye could barely make it out. However, with startling speed, the speck grew closer, and larger. As it approached, the windowless, egg shaped pod showed no signs of slowing down.... In fact, it seemed to be speeding up.

In an instant, the peace that Kosetsu Village was so enjoying was shattered by a great crash that shook the ground and sent the birds fleeing from their tree. The crashing pod left a scar in the earth, 6 feet wide and 100 feet long. At the end, planted in a ten foot creator, was the white pot. Though dirty, the pod didn't have so much as a scratch on it's smooth, flawless surface. Despite it's rather violent crash.

Inside, where it was dark and warm, the sleeping sayan was woken by the harsh landing. Only as a baby had Akiko ever flown through space. Now, rather shaken, the young girl was forced to feel about for the button that would set her free. There was a period of silents surrounding the pod. It was just a few minuets, but to Akiko, it felt like it took much longer for her fingers to find their mark. There was a hissing sound as old air escaped and fresh air swept into the pod. The Hatch opened slowly, allowing Akiko a chance to leave her small confines for the first time in nearly a month.... but blinded by the sudden light and unsure of this new world, Akiko staid where she was for the moment.

Trish

After Lena was called away Trish and Mona had followed observing the situation. Mona had her arms crossed as she thought Tobias was but a fool. Trish sighed not wanting to get in the middle of any of it. The girl tugged on her mother's arm gently. The woman looked over to her child with a nod and they both walked off. Its not that they didn't want to help or calm the situation but they were only but acquainted and felt it wasn't there business to get mixed up in the negativity going on.

As they were walking down the path towards the village Mona noticed the pod coming towards the earth. She couldn't tell what it was but she held her hand out to the side stopping Trish in her tracks.

“Lydia...” Mona said sternly. Trish looked at her mom only noticing her eyes straightforward in the air. Trish followed her mother's eyes suddenly noticing the pod itself. The speed was increasing... this was no ordinary event. As the pod grew closer Mona realised this was no pod of there race... She suddenly charged up and jumped in the air. Her eyes moved down to Trish who followed her movements with her eyes. The saiyan mother then waved her hand in gesture for her to come along.

“Right...” Trish nodded before doing the same as her mother.

The two then bursted in the direction as they heard a crash. They stopped right above it observing the pod before noticing it was suddenly opening. Trish pointed without saying anything noticing it was opening.. No one was coming out.. Trish and Mona both flew down to the opening. Perhaps it may not have been the best idea. Not knowing if it were dangerous or not.

Trish called out slightly “Hello...?” her tail suddenly curling around her leg.

Mona clapped once before speaking “Who's inside there...?”

The light seemed so bright after spending so long in the dark. It took several minuets for Akiko's eyes to adjust. Even before she could see, however, the little sayan could hear voices just outside. Should she go out? What if they weren't friendly? Then again, they knew she was there and Akiko couldn't just hide in her pod forever. That, and the girl was curious to see what strange creatures might live here. Eventually, a mop of short, black hair and a par of sapphire eyes peeked out of the pod.

The world Akiko saw was very different from the one she was use to. It was lush, green, and cool. In fact, it was almost too cool compared to her home. What really attracted the little Sayan's eye, however, was the source of the voices. They looked just like her! The hair, the skin, even the tail! Though, Akiko's tail was decorated with a blue ribbon, tied in a bow. It matched the bow dawning the back of head.

It took the little girl a few moments to get over her sense of awe. Then, Akiko slowly climbed from the pod, one bare foot hesitantly following the other. The child was dressed in a simple, light, sky blue robe with a hole in the back for her tail. Stopping just outside of the pod, Akiko slowly rose her hand above her head in a shy wave. It was time to test the waters.

"Hi.." She called a little hesitantly.

"Akiko was inside there... who's out here?" It seemed a fair enough question to the little Sayan.

Akiko so hoped these strangers were friendly. It was more than just the fear of being attacked. Akiko had so many questions for these people! She had not only escaped the invasion, but landed on her home planet! She couldn't wait to explore this new world! Surely her own people would help help her!

Trish

Mona and Trish's eyes widened as they noticed the small girl appear from the pod. Trish's tail uncurled as her hands rose up slightly surprised. Not dramatically yet the actions were shown as her left hand rose to her lips. She took a step back as she spoke.

"o-oh my..." A slight stutter from Trish as she examined the young girl who looked nearly like her and her mom. The teenaged girl's head turned to her mother who had only but a similar reaction yet a little calmed down regaining her composer. Its only been two days since Trish had met three others like her. This was simply amazing yet one question did rise to her head and that's "Where are her parents...?" The girl couldn't help but wonder if her parents did the same thing to her as Mona did. Although she didn't mean to make Mona look as if she were a bad parent but it was rather sad. Through all the thoughts Trish's facial expression forced a smile after looking confused. As for Mona, she calmed down a bit noticing the girl was about to speak.

"Hi... " The little girl said with a voice that showed a little fear. The two saiyan's eyes remained upon her as she spoke.

"Akiko was inside there... who's out here?"

"She speaks in third person... I wonder how old she is.." Trish thought yet her thought process was soon interrupted with Mona speaking. Trish's eyes moved to her mom as she spoke.

"Hello dear.. my name is Mona and this is Lidia... Did you come all this way by yourself?" Mona said in a sweet voice. To Trish, her mom seemed as though she was trying to calm the child down. She wondered how much experience as a mother she actually had if it was just natural or if she picked it up. Trish gave a smile to the young girl hoping she would be calm regardless.

The little girl watched the reactions of the others intently. They seemed just as surprised to see her as she was to see them. Was that good.. or bad? Akiko wasn't sure at first, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from the two. They were just like her... only bigger. A whole planet of people just like her... it was enough to blow the little sayan's mind.

Akiko had so many questions. How big did they get? What food did they eat? How many where there? What kind of animals lived here? Did they have pets? Why was there only one sun? There was so much Koing through the child's mind that she nearly missed it when the older one spoke again.

"uh huh. Akiko was sent alone." She answered slowly.

Akiko was usually far from timid, but being thrown into an unknown planet would make anyone fearful. Still, these two were not being aggressive or threatening. They were speaking to the child kindly. That combined with Akiko's generally curious trusting nature at the child slowly relaxing. Her tail, once curled tightly against her body, relaxed a little along with Akiko's overall posture. She stood a little taller instead of keeping herself curled like she was ready to dive back into her pod. Though, the child still didn't step away from her little safe spot. Not just yet.

"Who-" No, she already had the who. "-What are you?" She finally asked, unable to help herself.

Of course, Akiko was really asking what -she- was... who she was. Though wise in there own right, the Tormi had never encountered Sayans before Akiko. They hadn't been able to tell the girl anything more than what they themselves learned by raising her.

Tobias made no comment on Blaze's observation of Grisha. Even if he did find it to be the truth, he didn't care enough to reply. Lena cast her eyes shamefully to the ground as she thought about how she had been so hard on him. They really should try to understand Grisha more. The sound of an aircraft cutting the sky brought Tobias and Lena's attention skyward along with Blaze's. They stared in awe at the spherical object that passed like a shooting star.

"What can it be?" Lena thought aloud.

"I don't know. Maybe a comet or meteor," Tobias observed.

Some distance away, Grisha was staring up at the pod. Its shape brought an ache to his brain as suddenly images began flashing before his eyes. Strange armor, dim-lighting, chilling waters, screams; Grisha's eyes shrank and he clenched his teeth as the headache began to split his skull. His hands went to grasp his head as he reared back with a pained cry. Why did the sight of it make him hurt? His brain felt like it was exploding within his skull. What was he trying to remember? Why was this happening to him?

The ship impacted the earth and even from miles away, Grisha felt the quake. The Saiyan collapsed, his balance already weak from his disorientation. He fell flat upon his back and laid there in the snow as the ice soothed his fading headache. Grisha frowned deeply, his brows twitching as the pain quickly stopped in the same manner it had arrived. With a deep growl and groan, he sat up and massaged his fingers against his scalp. He opened his eyes in time to see Blaze soaring over the mountains in the pod's direction, and Grisha sprang to his feet barely a second after to follow him.

Since his fight with Squid Face, Grisha noticed that he was running much faster than before. Before, he needed to conjure some energy to fuel his sprint, but now it felt almost effortless as though he were now conditioned to run at such a speed. Of course, if he needed to run faster, then he would have to build energy again. He darted over the mountains and through their ravines. Strange, furry creatures watched him from their holes within the mountain sides, their yellow eyes glowing in the darkness.

Rising from the narrow canyon, Grisha emerged on a flat, snowy plain, a white valley that suddenly dipped as he found the beginning of the 100 foot long fissure. Slush rolled beneath his boots as he slid down the slope into the crater and followed its length to where he saw standing up ahead, Little Sister, Mommy, and Little Brother. He couldn't see what they were surrounding, but he assumed it was the strange star that had given him a headache. That memory alone had Grisha slow down and keep his distance from the thing. He wasn't sure he wanted to see it again after the pain it had brought him.

"What?" Grisha asked. "Ball make Grisha head hurt bad. Grisha no like."

Trish

"Who-" No, she already had the who. "-What are you?"

Mona looked down at the girl crossing her arms before speaking. Trish turned to her mom knowing she had a much better explanation then she did. Only two days ago did she even find out about her race. Let alone that there were more just like her. Like she thought throughout her life, she knew she wasn't human but when her sudden distant family arrived answers suddenly approached her mind and by these two days she is still rather confused about somethings. Trish looked down at her "little sister" examining her once more before smiling as she heard her mother speak.

"We are known as Saiyans, a proud warrior race - I am honored to see that yet another one of us lives..." Mona speaks softly. She personally wasn't sure on how much information she could say that the girl would understand so she kept it simple as she could make it. Trish smiled before kneeling and taking Akiko by the hands. She then spoke in a kind and excited tone.

"Yeah we're sisters! My name is Lydia... but you can also call me Trish!" Trish had gotten use saying her birth given name in front of her mother quite quickly but this didn't mean she abandoned her other name. The girl turned her head as did her mother when she noticed and felt Blaze show up near them.

"Blaze..." Trish said softly in acknowledgment only to suddenly be asked who the girl was. Trish shook her head before turning and asking.

"What is your name little one?"

Mona kept her smile yet had other questions appearing among her mind. "This is no saiyan pod.. where did she come from? Although i am happy... why is she here alone? Where has she been throughout her life? It just doesn't make sense..." It wasn't that Mona didn't trust the girl but more so that things were concerning her. Suddenly her thought process was interrupted by Grisha who spoke after sliding down the crater. Trish also turned before noticing the larger saiyan was present.

"Hey Grisha, Look!" She actually spoke kindly wanting to include Grisha due to the fact that she felt like he had a good heart. She gently let go of the little girl's hands and moved out of the way so the larger saiyan could see her.

"We are known as Saiyans, a proud warrior race - I am honored to see that yet another one of us lives..."

What did that mean? Warriors meant they were strong, would they be strong enough to help? Why did she say 'yet another'? Did something happen to most of them? There were so many questions! So much to take in! The world itself was new and strange, Meeting her own kind on top of that was a little overwhelming. When Trish knelt and took her hand, Akiko Stiffened, but only for a moment. The older girl seemed just as curious about Akiko as she was of them.

"Yeah we're sisters! My name is Lydia... but you can also call me Trish!"

Mona had already introduced the younger one, but it seemed she wanted to do it herself.. and give a second name. Did they all have two names? It was the 'sister' part, however, that really caught Akiko's attention.

"Sisters? Really!?" She asked. Her voice was soft, somewhere between excitement and awe. "Why-"

The little girl paused when a male flew down to join them. Whatever she had been about to ask was driven completely from her mind. Akiko's sapphire eyes fixed on him as he spoke, asking who she was. The chibi saiyan got the male's name out of the little exchange between he and her new, or was it long lost? ,sister.

As the older girl spoke to her again, Akiko's attention shifted back to her. Maybe it was because of the way she spoke or just the fact that she was one of the first to find her, but the little girl had an almost instant like of Lydia.

"Akiko." Came the rather simple answer to both Blaze and Trish's question.

Akiko was finally going to start asking questions of her own when yet another came sliding into the creator and started speaking. Lydia may have needed to move to allow Grisha to see Akiko, but the child had no problem seeing most of him, even from behind the older girl. He was huge! Even when Trish moved, Akiko just stood there, frozen, for several seconds as she stared at the giant that her new sister had labeled Grisha.

It was nearly a full minuet before Akiko pointed at Grisha and spoke again.

"Dose we all get that big?!"

There was again a sense of awe in Akiko's voice, but the excitement was much more pronounced. Akiko was already picturing herself as big as Grisha, scaring all off the Tormi's tormentors off by chasing after them as they scattered like mice running from a cat.

Hey Grisha, look!

Grisha watched Trish step aside and his dark eyes lowered to the tiny girl. He slowly arched a brow as she just seemed to stare at him with large eyes. It was making him feel awkward. She was so...little.

He then cautiously took a swift step back, having been prepared to dodge the imaginary attack the little girl had randomly thrust in his direction from her fingertip. His tail had stiffened in his startle and he bore his teeth at her like an angry dog. He wanted to just smash the runt for trying to make him look like a fool.

Does we all get that big!?

Big... Had she just called him big? Grisha's anger suddenly left as a large, egotistical grin spread on his face. He couldn't resist. The child had unknowingly flattered him greatly. Calling Grisha big was just as good as calling him handsome. He crossed his arms before his chest, the grin having yet to leave his face as his tail flicked behind him in delight.

"Grisha the biggest there is!" he bragged. His ego wasn't going to deflate for awhile. The large Saiyan concealed his teeth behind a long smile as he gazed at the little girl. He uncrossed his arms and strode toward the child and reached down to pick her up. As he raised her before his eyes, he noticed her tail and his brows shot upwards in shock.

"Hm? So tiny...baby sister so tiny!"

She was as light as a feather in his grasp and he placed her upon his shoulders. His tail flicked in his excitement as the proud grin returned to his face. "Big family. Grisha happy."

Blaze

Do we all get that big? The little girl asked.

Grisha had a huge grin on his face at the comment, and apparently he enjoyed being labeled as such. Blaze himself wasn't much for labels, but if Grisha was over his previous fit of anger then all the better. Grisha himself seemed to be getting a big head though, which had Blaze interested and mildly entertained.

Grisha the biggest there is! The large Saiyan happily proclaimed.

Blaze chuckled at the comment and crossed his arms as he watched Grisha pick the tiny girl up and hold her before him.

Big family. Grisha happy. He said.

Blaze chuckled once again and walked forward, clapping Grisha's shoulder with his hand as he walked around to inspect the girl himself.

"She is tiny, that's for sure, but there is a lot of power hidden beneath her little frame..." He looked up at Grisha.

"You may want to watch your back around this one Grisha. You might be bigger, but she might prove to be your match if given enough time." He said in a playful and mischievous manner.

Kit

The sun shone down on the clear yet crisp day so close to the reaches of the nearby mountains. A frigid air brushed the leaves gently as birds and other small critters hopped along atop branches and in between the trees of the forest floor. All around, the calm sounds of the area were an oasis of calming and soothing nature. One lone critter scurried onto a small game path as it foraged in the forest floor. Its head moving side to side, sniffing about, suddenly stopped still as stone as a foreign sound could be heard moving quickly in its direction. Scurrying out of the way of the path as quickly as it could, its tail was hidden behind the trunk of a tree just in time for a black and blue blur to go whizzing past on its trek through the forest.

Kit leaned over the top of his motorized cycle as he maneuvered the small vehicle through the trees at a speed that wouldn't exactly be considered 'safe'. The rough trenching tires the cycle had been outfitted with earlier that very morning ate up the distance and snow underneath as Kit alternated between watching where he was going, and the numbers running across his eyes. The heads up display built into the shades across his eyes ran numbers and targeted obstacles he may have otherwise missed without them. As the wind rushed by his face and through his hair, Kit felt a few goosebumps rise on the skin below his heavy jacket as a rogue wisp of air escaped into the sleeve.

Swerving to the right to avoid a rather large tree, Kit corrected back and broke the tree line suddenly to break into an open and snow-covered plain as the distance '0.0' flashed across his vision. Pulling hard on the rear brake, Kit fishtailed the cycle to a skidding stop, spraying dirt, snow, and small rocks out in front of him. Bringing a leg to the ground and unzipping the jacket now that he wasn't being buffered by the wing any longer, he surveyed the area in search of the debris from the meteor he saw falling from the sky.

"Should be around here somewhere....oh!"

A long and rather large scar ran atop the surface of the earth in the path the meteor had taken. The force of its fall and trajectory had caused it to slide along the surface until it finally came to a halt, several dozen feet from where it initially made impact. Revving the cycle once more, Kit hopped it into the scar following the trail to its end. As he drew near, he noticed what looked like an appendage sticking out of the rock.

"What in the...."

Kit slowed the cycle to a halt once more and cut the power before staring down into the crater at what was apparently, not a meteor. What had seemed like an appendage looked more like an open door as he neared it close enough to touch the metallic surface. Poking his head inside, his display highlighted various buttons and screens inside the small craft. It was becoming obvious something had been inside this not too long ago due to the subtle marks inside, but he began to wonder where it was now.

Casting his gaze around again, the display identified several marks in the snow surrounding the pod. Following the tracks with his eyes, he settled on the figures they belonged to. Standing close to where he was currently standing. How he had failed to notice them before was beyond him, especially the massive giant with what appeared to be a tiny monkey bouncing on his shoulder...

Akiko

The Chibi saiyan lowered her hand a little and frowned when the giant bared his teeth at her. What had she done wrong? Akiko didn't have much time to contemplate this, however, because the one Trish called Grisha did a 180 and smiled, much to Akiko's delight.

"Grisha's the biggest there is!" Came the boast.

The little girl mimicked Grisha in the way her tail flicked behind her, like an excited puppy who just found a new friend. The sudden advance Grisha made however, took Akiko by surprise. The child took half a step back, but she didn't protest to being picked up. Instead, Akiko hung limp as a rag doll at first as Grisha held her up for examination. She was a little unsure of how to react, and looked side long at Mona and Trish for a cue. Then he spoke again.

"Hm? So tiny...baby sister so tiny!"

Another one calling her sister! Akiko was taking this "sister" thing quite literally, and it was easy for Grisha's enthusiasm to rub off on the girl. As soon as Grisha set Akiko on his shoulder, Akiko hugged his head.

"Akiko has family!" She squealed in delight, right in Grisha's ear.

The mini saiyan bounced on Grisha's shoulder happily for a few moments before looking at Trish and Mona again, then to blaze as he spoke. Akiko's mouth dropped open at the male's words. She could be as strong as the giant? That only made her more excited.

"Are you Akiko's brother too?" She asked, almost hopefully.

That wasn't the girl's only question though. There were so many things she wanted to ask that Akiko's mouth opened and closed again soundlessly as she struggled to decide what to ask first

"Can Akiko stay?! " She finally blurted out.

She still wanted to help her family, her other family, but she had to know if her real family wanted her. She had to!

There were a few follow up questions, like, 'why was she sent away?' that the little girl wanted to ask, but she was once again distracted by the approach of another. Someone with... blue hair? Already overly excited, Akiko pointed towards the stranger that was examining her pod.

"Another brother!" She yelled excitedly. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

Like other saiyans, Akiko had never seen humans before. They looked the same to her. Well, except for one thing. It took Akiko a moment to realize the blue head was tailless, but when she did, a look of utter horror spread across the child's face.

"What happened to your tail?!"

How did one lose a tail?! Did it get cut off? It hurt just to have your tail pulled on.. to have it totally pulled off... Akiko couldn't even imagine it!

"Are you Akiko's brother too?" She asked, almost hopefully. Blaze chuckled at the notion.

Apparently these other Saiyans thought that having a tail made them all family, which was a nice thought but somewhat childish in Blaze's opinion. He didn't mind calling them brothers and sisters, since they were of the same race, but that whole family thing just didn't sit right with him. It would be a strange thing indeed to call Grisha "brother" when he was just another Saiyan. Sure they were friends now, so Blaze didn't mind it, but it still was just a bit strange to him. Maybe it was because his Earthly family weren't Saiyans and he grew up used to humans.

Just then, someone else arrived.

"Another brother! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" Akiko yelled excitedly.

Blaze looked over at him, having only just sensed his power level as he drew closer since his mind was distracted by other such things.

I need to learn to sense power levels even when I'm not focusing on my surroundings... He thought to himself.

A difficult task indeed.

"What happened to your tail?! Akiko yelled.

Blaze noticed the lack of the tail as well and was a bit suspicious, but the man with the blue hair did not have the energy signature of a Saiyan. His energy felt like that of a human, which surprised Blaze since his power was almost on par with that of Grisha and himself. For a human to match a Saiyan when their overall race was much weaker by nature... It was quite impressive actually.

"Please identify yourself." Blaze called to the stranger.

Kit

Kit Rose back to his standing position to study the people standing nearby the crashed pod. He felt more than a little foolish for not noticing them beforehand, yet it wasn't exactly a huge surprise. A bomb could have blown up in the vicinity and Kit would only have attention for the shiny, well semi-shiny after the impact, new piece of technology in front of him. Raising a hand, he tapped the button on the sides of his shades with an audible click to see the people without the HUD obscuring his vision.

Obviously the first one he noticed was the rather large man with the bouncing monkey on his shoulder who looked like he had been carved straight from a boulder out of the side of one of the mountain faces nearby. The other man nearby looked, more or less, about as old as Kit's own age and two women stood close by as well, one older and one younger.

"Another brother! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

Kit nearly jumped as the little monkey bouncing atop the boulder's shoulder was identified as the speaker of the statement. For a moment, he checked himself, trying to remember if he knew any monkeys that could actually talk before shaking his head and realizing the monkey was actually a small girl. A small girl with a...

"What happened to your tail?!" Came another call from the young girl.

"My tail...?" Looking over the onlookers again, he noticed they each had a tail as well just as the statement left his mouth. Scrubbing his brain again, he knew of humans that were born with small tails occasionally as a result of an extended vertebrae, but never a full-on tail like these few. Were they all related? The black hair was another obvious marking the lot shared.

"Please identify yourself." Came a call from the smaller of the two males, breaking Kit's racing thoughts.

"Kit. Kit Ryden. As in Ryden Industries." He called back to the man. "And did she just call me 'brother'? Sorry if you mistake me for someone else, by I'm an only child." A million questions raced through his head concerning the pod behind him now and other various riddles, yet one he couldn't help but let fly from his mouth as he pointed to the others. "Um, am I missing something, or is there a reason you guys' have tails?"

Trish

Trish and Mona couldn't help but smile at the situation before scratching their heads. It wasn't long before Mona sensed the human not far and turned her head quickly. Just then did the small saiyan point and exposed the human's presence to the group. Trish looked over and examined the boy. As Akiko wondered if he was family. Although recently just acquainted it did make the two females wonder who this man was. Obviously not a Saiyan like them with no tail but his power level was impressive for what he was.

Mona crossed her arms before looking a little serious compared to the expression she had before. She listened as the man identified himself to be “Kit Ryden”. She suddenly exclaimed not meaning to sound rude.

“Human”

Trish turned towards his mother wondering what she meant by that in her tone before suddenly hearing her continue.

“He's a human, Akiko and to you – we're probably what you call 'Aliens'. We call ourselves saiyans” Mona didn't feel like she had to continue but all at the same time she couldn't stop but looking back at Akiko with more important questions in her mind. Humans are a normal sight to her which is why no attention was really brought from Kit but for Trish it was only another friend.

“Hey, Kit – Nice to meet you. My name is Trish err..Lydia. What ever works for you.”

Grisha arched a lip of disbelief at Blaze's statement before he sucked his teeth. The day he got wrecked by the shrimp was the day he would probably quit fighting. However, Blaze's statement had made Grisha grow a hair of nervousness. He would need to grow stronger so he can stay ahead of the runt. The giant was torn from his thoughts by Akiko's excited squealing. His left eye twitched, his left ear being afflicted by the shrill noise. Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to put her on his shoulders after all.

As the little one conversed with Blaze, Grisha's attention strayed to a dot at the end of the crater that was growing closer and closer. He stared in silence at the approaching figure. The power level wasn't as frightening as Squid Face's had been, but it wasn't anything to disregard either. A scent then came to his nose that made his brows leap in astonishment. Human...could the stranger really have been human? Grisha never doubted his nose when it came to such things, but never had he laid eyes on such a powerful human. He must have been one-of-a-kind.

After inspecting the pod, the human's eyes had finally met his own, and Grisha continued to silently stare as the other Saiyans were taking notice of him.

Another brother! Hiiiiiii~!

Grisha winced and that had been the last straw. He reached up and grasped the girl by the back of her collar and held her out for Trish to take. Once she had taken her, Grisha just turned away from the conversation, sliding a pinky into his ear as he tried to ease the ringing. The volume of Akiko's voice had so far been proven dangerous. He was sure that if she screamed loud enough, she could make an enemy go deaf. He didn't care much about the human: who he was and what he did for a living. He was a human. So what? He guarded a village of them...

Just then, as Grisha's mind was on his home, he felt a slither of a power signature creeping across his core. It felt like a tickling sensation except it didn't excite humor but immediate worry. His head snapped in the direction, in which he felt it, gazing on with shrunk eyes as though he could see right through the mountains. It wasn't hostile, but it was still nothing to ignore.

"Kst!" Grisha hissed before he whirled and abruptly left the company of his Saiyan family. A gust was drawn, the air particles parting and a trail of dust clouds could be seen leading up and out of the crater. Ribbons of vapor twisted behind the Saiyan, weaving into a single stream that dispersed behind him. Snow and ice was being evaporated by the heat his body was giving off in his sprint.

Kosetsu Village

Lena was seated on the window again. Her arms were crossed and her eyes were peering over them from beneath knitted blonde brows. The Saiyans had been gone for a long time, and she had been waiting eagerly for their return. She was dying to know what the meteor was, and if they were gone for so long, she knew it must have been something interesting. She sighed boredly.

"You need to get a hobby," Tobias said.

The girl narrowed her eyes at her father's statement. "I was hoping they would take me with them. I wanted to see it too."

Tobias peered from behind his book at his daughter. "It could be dangerous."

"Grisha would protect me."

"He shouldn't have to. If you just stay away from trouble, then trouble won't come to you."

Outside her window, Lena noticed a young man who she had never seen before. Kosetsu was a small village and the villagers knew each other so well that they could identify a foreigner easily. Raising her head, Lena regarded the young man with black hair curiously. His hair style was rather odd much like the Saiyans she already knew. She frowned as she pondered, Is that another one?

Quickly standing, Lena ran for the door as Tobias lowered his book to watch his daughter leave. "Lena, you better not be planning to go out there."

She gave no response as she stepped outside to jog after the stranger. Tobias rose to his feet, tossing the book into the chair behind him as he walked over to the window to watch Lena chase after some boy. Running a hand back through his blonde hair, his brows twisted upwards in confusion.

"Boyfriend?" he wondered. He hadn't seen the young man before.

"Hey!" Lena called after the visitor. "Wait up!"

Behind her, she hadn't seen the wave of white snow in the distance, rising behind her. She heard the hiss of ice as it grew louder and she slowed in her run, gazing over her shoulder to see nothing but a wall of white. She gasped.

The front of the round house was suddenly white with snow. Tobias jumped, having not expected the sudden frozen tide to hit the windows.

"What the hell?" he exclaimed. He tapped on the glass as snow tumbled free and he stood on his toes, trying to see what had happened outside.

Standing amongst a white-out of homes and snowmen was Grisha, staring suspiciously at the stranger. He hadn't smelled of human. His scent was similar to his family, but he hadn't had a...Grisha narrowed his eyes at the teen's backside. Was that a tail? The snowman standing next to him then suddenly shifted and Grisha's eyes darted over to it. Staring at the ice formation cautiously, his tail rose and like a duster, patted and swept the snow and ice away to reveal a shivering Lena. Her eyes and face were pink from the cold and staring furiously at the giant.

"LENA!?" Grisha exclaimed in startle. A sheepish grin blossomed on his face, growing weaker by the second. "Grisha no see."

Shaking off the snow, Lena crossed her arms and declared with a deep frown, "Hmph! I don't feel like cooking tonight."

The Saiyan warrior cringed as though Lena had sunk her fist into his stomach with the power of a million suns! Dropping to his hands and knees, Grisha pathetically began groveling at her feet. "Grisha sorry!"

Turning her nose up, Lena said insensitively, "You'll just have to deal with my father's cooking."

Tobias, who was now standing at the door smirked wickedly and happily declared, "Snow pea soup it is!"

Grisha sprawled flat across the ground with his face buried in the snow like a child who was upset that he didn't get his way. There was no way he was going to eat greens. Fuck that.

Lena stared down at the Saiyan and stepped away from him to continue her conversation with the stranger, "As I was saying...Hi; you must be new here. I'm Lena, that's my father and that on the ground is...well, nobody important. (cue Grisha sweat drop) Welcome to Kosetsu Village! If you need any help, feel free to ask me."

Akiko

Akiko tilted her head with a mildly puzzled expression when Blaze chuckled at, but didn't answer, her question. Was that a no? She wandered. Akiko might have gone ahead to ask out loud, but the new arrival was introducing himself as Kit, and not a brother. When the boy asked why they had tails, the child was a little confused. So far, he was the only one she had seen without a tail. It was a good thing Mona was there to clear it all up for her.

“He's a human, Akiko and to you – we're probably what you call 'Aliens'. We call ourselves saiyans”

"Oh..." Akiko answered with a frown.

The girl was somewhere between facinated that there were two races that looked so alike, and disapointed that she didn't have another brother. Still, they looked so alike, that the child looked between Kit, now talking to Lydia, and the new guy several times before tilting towards Mona and whispering.

"Sure he just dun know he's suppose to have a tail?"

She opened her mouth to say more, but Grisha suddenly snagged her off of his shoulder and offered her over to Trish. The child squeaked in surprise, but didn't otherwise protest. At least, not until Grisha took off. "Wait, brother!" She yelled after him. If Trish had indeed taken Akiko, and didn't have a tight grip, the child would gather her energy and burst away from her sister to fly after the giant. Sense everyone gathered around her little pod had a fairly high power level, Akiko didn't take much notice of the energy that Grisha had sensed. She just wanted to see where he was going.

Kosetsu Village

If she had escaped the others, Akiko bolted through the village until she caught up to an odd seen. Grisha pouting on the ground in front of another lady and a new man, both of whom were talking.

"Hiiiii!" Akiko greeted with a cheerful wave.

Now that she wasn't being sheltered by her pod or sharing someone's body heat, Akiko was being hit by the full force of the cold for the first time... and she didn't like it! This was the polar opposite of the desert planet she had grown up on. Even the sand was a different color.... all white.

Akiko opted to hover a few feet above Grisha rather than land in the weird, white sand for the moment... Maybe she could even land on his shoulder again if he got up! It was much warmer there!

Blaze

Akiko's yells were indeed quite harsh, and Blaze couldn't blame Grisha when he handed the tiny girl over and tried to make his ears stop ringing. Blaze chuckled lightly while he watched the large Saiyan begin to already fall prey to the tiny Saiyan's ability to take advantage of her assets to win a fight. Even though she wasn't trying to fight, she was already winning in Blaze's eyes. It was fun to watch.

However, Grisha suddenly took off and as he did, he blew a large mound of snow onto Blaze. Ultimately, Blaze stood there as his body was covered in snow before powering up and blasting it off of his person in a rather blunt show of force and annoyance.

"That was unpleasant..." He said quietly.

He jumped into the air and followed the larger Saiyan, looking back at the others and giving them a nod to acknowledge them before leaving.

When he caught up to Grisha, he was groveling at Lena's feet and there was a new face standing there. From his posture and the tone of voice, Blaze guessed he was challenging Grisha which would be rather fool hardy given the difference in their strength from Blaze was feeling.

Lena watched the boy point at Grisha as a creeping anxiety began to near her. His words bothered her. A World Martial Arts Tournament? Was that some event the mainland was throwing? Saito's focus eventually went to Grisha, leaving Lena standing there as though she was in the way. She could see the glimmer in the boy's eyes. He was excited and she felt that he was more interested in fighting Grisha than recruiting him. Her guess was confirmed when the boy challenged the Saiyan directly - something she didn't want to hear. Lena knew that Grisha was strong, she didn't know how exactly strong he was since she didn't see his battle with Goulden but she hadn't even known that there had been such a battle. Grisha had just returned injured and with more members of his unusual family.

"It is forbidden for a member of Kosetsu Village to venture to the mainland. We all obey that rule here and Grisha is no exception no matter how strong you believe him to be," Lena declared.

Suddenly, she was grabbed from behind. A hand clapped over her mouth as Tobias pulled his daughter aside and grinned nice and large at the boy. "10 million you say?"

Lena pried her father's hand free, twisting it until Tobias winced and began to flail. "He's not going!"

HIIII~!

Lena released her father and looked up at the tiny girl in the sky. "Oh my gosh! She's so cute!" She then noticed her tail and blinked. "Another one?"

She was so small that she could have even been Grisha's...her eye twitched as she watched the little girl float down to hover over Grisha. So they knew each other...as usual. So far Grisha had been calling everything with a tail his sibling but this one could have been his...Why did she feel so angry?

Grisha pulled his face from the snow to look up at Akiko. "Baby sister?"

Lena sighed deeply in relief. Whew!

The Saiyan's eyes then shrank in disbelief. She was...Grisha waved his arm under her and then rose on his knees, waving his arm above her as though checking for strings. She was flying...the large Saiyan fell silent, staring at Akiko in disbelief as a snow sheet floated by.

Even, the tiny one could fly.

You may want to watch your back around this one Grisha. You might be bigger, but she might prove to be your match if given enough time.

A hand went to grasp his face as he began to tremble from the rage that was filling him inside. He was becoming so angry, and he didn't want Lena to see it though she could.

"Grisha, what's wrong?" Lena questioned. She raced over to him and rested her hands upon his shoulders. "It's okay. I'll cook today if you want."

The Saiyan stood out of her grasp and bowed his head, while his other hand balled into a large fist. He couldn't stop it. To try and suppress his anger was giving him a splitting headache. His power level began to rise and Tobias walked over to Lena to pull her away from the Saiyan and give him some space. He even grabbed Akiko, grabbing her by the back of her pants and pulling her along as though she were a kite.

"Grisha no need fly..." the Saiyan growled under his breath. Lowering his hand, Grisha gave Saito a feral stare, his teeth clenched like an affronted beast.

"Little man challenge Grisha? PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE!" he roared. "GRISHA WILL CRUSH LITTLE MAN HERE AND NOW!"

Grisha entered a stance, his arms raised and bent at the elbow with fingers loosely curled. He faced the teenager with his right foot first and left slightly back. His knees were bent only slightly to give him the comfort and spring he would need. Behind him, his tail curled into a stiff C-loop. He would show them. Tobias, especially, the bastard.

"Welp, everyone inside. We can watch from the window," Tobias said. If Grisha and the boy were going to fight, he didn't want to get caught in the crossfire as had been the case at the spring. He urged Lena and Akiko into the house. The blonde felt only sympathy for the warrior. She knew from Blaze's explanation that Grisha was having some pride issues. He shouldn't have had to feel like he needed to prove himself to anyone. She only hoped that Blaze would try to stop the fight before the village got caught up in it. She knew that Grisha wasn't going to listen to her. Once he got caught up in something, it was almost impossible to get him back.

"Blaze!" she exclaimed in distress.

Saito's eyes flicked over to the girl that appeared, but gave only a moment's notice to her as Grisha stood up. Grisha swiped at the air for a moment, confusing Saito. Grisha turned and gave Saito a feral stare, his teeth clenched like an affronted beast.

"Little man challenge Grisha? PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE!" he roared. "GRISHA WILL CRUSH LITTLE MAN HERE AND NOW!" Saito immediately went from confused to to thrilled. Smiling his own feral look right back at Grisha. Except now, it was beginning to look almost demented.

"HAHAHA! YES, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HOPED FOR!" Saito powered up, energy flaring out around him, only to slowly concentrate into his arms. 'Seems a perfect time to try out my new attack!' Saito was about to charge forward, only for a man to suddenly come crashing down out of the sky. The shockwave forced Saito several feet back, leaving trails in the ground. The man then powered up, red-tinted energy flaring around him.His energy began creating waves of energy which flowed outward which sent small puffs of snow and moisture outward in a perfect circle around him as he stood up.

"That is enough you two. There will be no fighting today." He said firmly. At first Saito was thrilled at the prospect of someone else just as powerful as Grisha appearing. Now he was enraged, this man was trying to stop this fight. Saito's face contorted in rage as he was about to dash forward.

"If you want to fight, save it for the tournament you've been telling Grisha about." Saito suddenly stopped instantly, a horrified look on his face as his mind flashed back to his master.

Under no circumstances are you to fight anyone that you try to recruit.

But master!

Or everyone here will make nothing but sushi for the next 5 years!

NOOOOOOOO!!!

A slight shudder ran through his body as he took a deep breath. Slowly sliding out of his stance and into a standing position.

"He fights all out, so you would be forced to fight at your fullest whether you wanted it or not. That being said, you two could seriously injure each other here today and that would hurt your chances at this tournament. If either of you suffers an injury, defeating you at the tournament with a handicap would bring a completely hollow and pointless victory. I highly doubt either of you would accept such an empty victory over the other, so stand down." He demanded. Saito's eyes flashed over to the man, irritation on his face.

"You reminded me that I was ordered not to fight the people I'm recruiting, but don't try to tell me what to do unless you intend to try and enforce your words. ...though admittedly, I'd hate to potentially ruin my chances at victory. Grisha won't be be the only strong one there." Saito's brow furrowed for a moment looking at the man in front of him before his eyes widened in shock for a moment, "In fact, I suggest you come to tournament as well Blaze, now that I recognize you. Not that you'd win again of course, but it'd be fun to have you along."
