Description

Thomas Aquinas

Image

Age: ~1200
Appearance: 'Thomas', as he calls himself, always takes the form of a young, teen to mid-twenties human male with pale skin and perfect complexion, and always green eyes. His hair tends to be dark, usually black, and long, sometimes down his back, sometimes only just below the ears. His current, overworld form has very long hair, but he tends to keep it all hidden beneath a hood. He has numerous piercings in his ears, sometimes deciding to wear more archaic, emerald-jewelled earrings, styled like they are from the Mediterranean area. His lips are full, but pale like the rest of him, nose small, eyebrows straight, jet-black lines over his eyes, and eyelashes dark, so that it almost looks like he is wearing eyeliner. His clothes always vary. If he enters the underworld, he automatically becomes a scar-ravaged, pale, robe clad boy. His hair slightly reduces in length, and the sclera(whites) of his eyes become black, and his pupils become glowing green orbs without pupils. This is his only true form, aside from his demonic one. At will, he can drop his more human forms for a slightly more rough-looking appearance, heavily muscled, with shorter hair that stands on end, and an unusual type of armor. The sclera of his eyes become black, and yellow, serpentine iris' and pupils replace his green ones. None of those forms are any different from eachother in terms of what kind of power he has. But his last, and truest form, is different. He will likely never use it in a town, because to do so would immediately crush it and everyone within. His true form is that of a giant snake or sea serpent. His body stretches to lengths that extend beyond the horizon, his skin is covered entirely in scales, his eyes completely that of a serpent. It is a very painful transformation as well, but it is worth it if he is in such a situation he has to become the creature. He becomes the Leviathan. A snake-like creature that has a body length extending far beyond eyesight, fabled to be able to circle around the entire world.
Occupation: Student (has not revealed his true nature or age to anyone, and looks like he could be in senior year)

Alliance: Underworld
Race: Demon; Thomas Aquinas is an ancient demon, said to be one of the four crowned princes of Hell by Christians, responsible for many disappearances at sea and possessions of members of the clergy and other important and valuable people across the world. The first time he was ever documented was in around 800 AD, but it is unknown how old he is for certain. Demonic powers are many, but Thomas only uses them rarely, preferring his inhuman strength and usage and summoning of snakes and other reptiles. He is capable, however, of psychokinesis, levitation, and possession. Like any other true demon, he has one fatal weakness; by learning his true name and speaking it with a command, a creature of neutral origins can control him and make him do anything. As such, he keeps his name secret, and that is also part of the reason why he does not want to transform in front of anyone. While in his true form, he is capable of using a certain ability called Hellmouth.

Personality: Thomas Aquinas is, quite simply, a deceitful creature. But that is to be expected from someone like him, a demon. He enjoys playing games with all sorts of other beings, whether they are with the Underworld or not. He tries to learn people's fears, and then plays on those fears. He is old, his origins unknown, and has vast stores of knowledge within him. He is generally dark and mysterious, not necessarily in a creepy way, he doesn't really intend to hurt anyone in particular, it's just his nature. He puts no value in friendship or love, and will only use people who consider him such as tools or playthings. His reasoning and morality are both slightly off, but he does speak the truth, more or less.
Bio: Thomas, clearly, did not start off in Sanctuaire Estrange. But where he did start off, he never tells. Maybe it was just like the Bible says, maybe not. He knows, but he would never tell a 'lesser' creature. By 800 AD, he had become a well known 'demon', and didn't ever attempt to refute that title. He swallowed ships at sea, possessed clergymen and women, delighting in destroying their morals, their religion. He spent most of his time then in the waters of the world, but eventually grew tired of seafood, and took to the land. Many have died and lived by his hand, many have kneeled before him, in some other form of his, and many have tried to tame him, to defeat him. That is all represented in his 'truest' human form, with all the scars. He knows war is on the horizon, and has decided to take up residence, under the guise of a lesser demon, in Sanctuaire Estrange.

Opinion: For. Not particularly for hiding powers from them, but he enjoys the thought of humans becoming once more aware of what is really around them, and becoming involved.

So begins...
