a character in “Sanctuary Station”, as played by ValaunDae'Voth

Description

Name:
Sergeant Markus Creed

Age(17+):
27

Gender:
Male

Rank:
Sergeant

Assignment onboard:
Squad Leader

Physical appearance:
Markus Creed is a monstrous man by any standards. He stands a staggering 7' in height and weighs in at a clean 295lbs. Though large and fit, he is not grotesquely over-muscled, he is simply solidly toned.
He is every bit the soldier he has trained for the last twelve years to become, holding himself with prefect posture and carries himself with a reassured confidence that has little to do with his intimidating stature.
Many rumors have spread amongst the ship's crew that he is not actually human due to how few have seen him without his armor. Those that have would know he is covered in scars from various campaigns as well as a strange assortment of tattoos decorating his eerily pale skin.

Equipment:
He dresses in a black long coat worn under a heavy breastplate. Several grenades attached to the plate via bandoleer, along with a large rifle, something more akin to a mace, that he simply calls a 'billy club', and an almost archaic bayonet that doubles as a sword belted to his waist. His helmet is burnished black and the tinted lenses set over the eyes are a black mirror that reflect his surroundings

Notable physical traits:
His size, scars, and tattoos. Most of the crew, especially non-officers and recruits, have never seen him without his armor or helmet donned.

Reason for enlisting:
Markus was abducted from his homeworld as a child and enslaved by a band of pirates. Around his fifteenth year, the pirate vessel was assaulted by the Crucible and he was among the survivors. He volunteered to fight for the Crucible as his way of paying the debt for slaying his captors, as well as ensuring he would be able to fight others of their ilk.
Despite not being of very high rank, he is well respected by the other soldiers on board for his commanding nature and demeanor in battle. He has passed promotion several times, liking his position as it is.
After things collapsed during his last assignment, he was reassigned, this being his first mission since.

So begins...

On The Boreas

The girl in the brown coveralls motions for Arrosa to sit in the empty seat next to her. "I'm Ratchet. Ships chief engineer. For this mission you can relax the military alittle. Still show the captain the respect he is do, without the saluting. As for the rest of us, just call us our position or names. So I'm Chief, chief Ratchet or just Ratchet." Pointing across the table, "That's Doc. Just Doc. Next to her is Lockbox, head of ships security and tactical. At the end on this side is Sparky, first officer. And you are matchstick." Just as she finished saying that a Man, in his upper twenties lower thirties, wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans walks in. Lockbox stands quickly to attention as he says, "CAPTAIN ON DECK!" The rest of the crew jump to attention. The captain takes a seat next to Lockbox and starts typing on a control pad as the crew sits back down. The screen on the wall next to him changes to display the nebula, "So this is whats up. First I am to be called, Captain, second this is a federation NAVY gunship. NOT an Army transport, so that's two strikes against us to start. In a few minutes we will leave federation space through a window in our defenses made just for us. It will only be open for five minutes so timing is everything. Once clear we should be fine till we hit the nebula. This nebula has a constant storm a little ways inside and extends almost the whole way to the station. There is what is referred to as the envelope around the station, think of it as the eye of a hurricane. Once we enter the storm we can not call out, we will be completely cut off. Even if we could, till we re-dock at the black site, this ship is flagged as stolen and all of us are flagged a AWOL. I will let Chief explain how we are to reach the station, then Lockbox will take it from there."

Chief sits up alittle more in her seat before saying, "Well, the station makes and deploys a network of sensors that act as a way to monitor the storm and as buoy for all incoming and outgoing ships. They direct ships through the safest path... if they are still operational." Lockbox puts a hand up, cutting the chief off, "Assuming we get inside the envelope, then comes the hard part. How to breach a secure black site station. As far as we can tell our two options are, the direct approach, head strait to the out post and breach a cargo bay. If we do that, its going to be a bit tricky and we would get one shot to land. Plus getting out would most likely involve firing the main gun in an enclosed space. Option two, the around about, hit an auxiliary docking bay for the science wing and make your way some how from there. That's the way I would personally recommend. To help I have brought a friend to watch your back, let me introduce Sergeant Markus Creed." As he says this he motions towards the door as the sergeant walks in. "Meet the hammer." The captain speaks up, "But as you are mission leads, you pick were we go in. But please relax till then, it will take us some time to reach the nebula. Till then dismissed." All but the guards, Stg Markus and Arrosa leave. As soon as the last person leaves the guards move in front of the door.

Arrosa calmed down when Ratchet assured her that she could relax the military stuff, at least around them. Ratchet then introduced her to the rest of the crewman but by the end of it, a man wearing a black jacket and blue pants stepped on deck before Lockbox calls out that the captain was on the deck. She immediantly turned to face him and stood at attention.

After the captain took a seat, he began to talk about how the ship they were on was a NAVY gunship and that they were leaving federation space, through a hole in their defenses in a few minutes. He then told them that once they leave, they will be declared AWOL and the ship they were on would be declared stolen. She didint understand why they would need to do such drastic things for this station but she had to roll with it. The captain soon finished his explanation before turning the rest to Lockbox and in return she told the them two plans on how to get to the station. The first plan was to do a direct approach where they would have one chance to land and have to use the ships gun in an enclosed space and the other plan was to hit an auxiliary ship that was docked then make their way from there, whatever option they picked involved explosions so she was happy with any one of them.

After her explanation, she then introduced someone who would be joining them which was someone called Markus Creed, a sergeant and a large man from the look of things. He was going to choose what to do to get to the station but they were then dismissed and she left the bridge and she immidently produced her magazine she had with her and began to read it while walking with a dumb smile on her face.
