Victoire has been known to contradict the stereotype of most Slytherins. She has a warm and inviting nature that is akin to many Hufflepuffs. Unless someone gives her a reason to not be liked or respected, she treats those around her with kindness. Over her years at Hogwarts she’s quickly grown a reputation as the most approachable Slytherin and has often been used as an Owl between houses for those too scared of the snakes’ den. Her presence is comforting and non judgmental, and others find it easy to confide in her. Like a breath of fresh air, she brings a light to the Slytherin house that often makes others question why she is there in the first place. But this isn’t to say she is a push over, for she can be quite fierce when it is needed.

She is an unwavering force when it comes to whatever or whomever she stands behind. Victoire is fiercely loyal, sometimes even to the point of blind support. This is most prevalent in her family, in particular her brother, Louis. But this even extends to her friends and her fellow Slytherins, which sometimes proves to be a bit of a challenge. Although she may not approve of a lot of things that happen behind closed doors at Hogwarts, this doesn’t cause her respect nor loyalty to waver unless something unforgivable was done.

There are parts of Victoire that she keeps hidden from others, and even represses them from herself. She presents herself in the kind of light that she wants people to associate her with while keeping the skeletons in the closet under lock and key. This side of her is kept from everyone around her aside from Louis. The only way someone else would find out would be through her own loss of control or when she can trust said person without a doubt. This isn’t to say she is an untrustworthy person, but rather that she keeps her own demons hidden away so that they are only her burden.

When Victoire sets her mind to something, she will achieve it. She is a stubbornly persistent thing that doesn’t back down, no matter what the challenge is. Although this shows most in her school work and her dedication to getting high marks in her classes, it carries over into every aspect of her life. She is smart and quite cunning, able to reach what she seeks by whatever means. Although she is not the type to take short cuts or undermine someone else, when her mind is set to something she can be blinded by her ambition for what she seeks. Victoire is a passionate creature, especially when it comes to what she wants.

Victoire had an uneventful childhood, not that she would ever complain about it. Her parents were always loving and supportive, trying to give herself and her siblings the world. And even though Louis seemed to reject them as he reached his adolescence, their family was still full of love. Her brother could sit there and act however he wanted about his parents, but she knew that even in his own weird way, he loved them. One thing she never questioned was Louis’s and her bond. Much like twins and even the stories of her uncles, they have been inseparable since a young age. And although they were complete opposites, they were closer than anyone could understand.

As time grew closer to when Victoire and her brother would be sent off to wizarding school, things grew a bit more complicated. Of course, there was no doubt that Louis would be going to Hogwarts like their parents and their grandparents before them. But there as a question when it came to Victoire’s own course. Her mother wanted her to follow in her own shoes and attend Beauxbatons. Not only did the thought of spending the next seven years of school surrounded by obnoxious women repel her but worse was the thought of being so far away from her family and not going to school alongside Louis. It took awhile of convincing, but eventually after much thought her parents agreed to send her to Hogwarts.

It wasn’t all that shocking upon their arrival at Hogwarts that Louis was sorted into Slytherin. He never fell into the Gryffindor mold like the other Weasley’s in the generation before them. Victoire didn’t know what to expect when the sorting hat was placed on her. It wasn’t a set answer like some others where the hat barely touches their head and they are sorted. It toiled over Ravenclaw, but then it talked of a darkness that it sensed in her. And although she didn’t know what the hate spoke of at that moment, it placed her in Slytherin with Louis to the shock of the rest of the school seeing not one but two Weasley’s put in that house.

For awhile she forgot what happened with the sorting hat, letting it fade form memory and enjoy her time at Hogwarts. But the summer after her second year it all came back. If you were to ask Victoire what her and her sister Dominique what caused the fight between them, neither of them can remember… Probably a typical sibling spat between sisters. They were out playing the woods, and whatever happened pushed Victoire over the edge. She felt it come from her, boiling over out of control. It was silent… then dozens of birds fell from the trees above landing dead at her feet. And when she looked to her sister for reasoning, Dominique was frozen with tears in her eyes… Almost like being held in place by the imperius curse.

After that day, Victoire’s and Dominique’s relationship quickly became estranged. The memory of what happened haunted her dreams, some so bad that her parents claimed she used magic while asleep. It became a secret kept within their immediate family, scared of what it could mean if the ministry found out. Since then Victoire started spending all her free time reading mountains of books trying to figure out what was happening and how to stop it. The occurrences still happened, but she tries to keep her emotions in check to avoid it, while Louis continues to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts… Just in case.
