Lazarus sighed as he stepped onto Earth for the first time in his long life. He slid his hands into his pockets as he stepped over to the poor unfortunate soul who has just made the most horrible decision in their life. "Well, I'm here. What is it do you want from me?" Lazarus demanded as he circled around him. The male began to stutter before finally spitting out the reason for calling upon Lazarus. "I would like my wife's cancer to be cured," the male stated. Lazarus rolled his eyes at the male's statement and shook his head. "Humans, always the same thing. I want so and so cured, I want to be rich, I want to succeed. Isn't there ever a time when you just wish someone would die? Come on now, someone needs to be interesting," he rambled as he continued to circle around the male.

The male was a bit startled by the words that left Lazarus's lips. Though within one snap of his finger, the deal was made. "Your wife has been cured, your soul belongs to the devil, and one more thing," he stated as he placed his hand upon the male's shoulder, "Your wife is having an affair," he added with a smirk before stepping away with his hands in his pockets.

Lazarus began heading out into town, to find the most lively part of this place. People were on the streets, cars were honking at each other, people yelling and cursing as they shook their fists. "Ah, I must be in New York City," he thought to himself as he continued through the streets.

"Darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always bring good."

Amariah moved through the crowded streets of New York keeping her head down. She didn’t understand the appeal of the city, it was loud, and the people were loud and often cruel. A man begging for some sort of deal from anyone filled her ears.

It didn’t take her very long to find the man but it seemed someone else had as well, a man dressed in dark clothing who looked to be the exact opposite of her, but in some way she felt drawn to him. She shook the feeling from her body turning her attention to the crying man who was holding a young child in his arms, begging for some sort of miracle she knew the other man standing before her wouldn’t be able to give him.

“Please, my son is ill. Heal him, I will do anything.” Amariah moved to the man quickly before he could make a deal she knew would end with him selling his soul. “May I see him.” Amariah asked kindly gently taking the boy from his fathers arms, the boys body was burning up, he clearly didn’t have long left. As gently as she could she laid the boy on the ground, placing her hand on his shoulder she closed her eyes. The boy coughed below her opening his eyes bringing the father to tears. Amariah helped the boy to his feet sending him back in the direction of his father. “Thank you, thank you so much.” the man cried.

Once the two disappeared she turned to face the other man feeling his eyes watching her every move she took a deep breath scanning over him. Clearly he worked for satan, a demon? didn’t seem likely. So what? Either way she was drawn to him in a way she had never been drawn to another being. “Who or what are you?” Amariah asked it was meant to be more of a demand but her voice came at soft as it normally did.

Lazarus couldn't believe what he was seeing. It was an angel in the streets of New York. His father told him that he would be the only one in this area, that no one from Heaven would be here. But of course his father was clueless, just like he always was. The male heard a man begging for someone to help his child and immediately he let out a smirk as the male began to approach him, but was cut off by the blonde female stepping in front of him and performing her little miracle. Just watching this miracle be performed made him sick. For someone to have their son practically brought back to life there had to be some sort of trade, but there was nothing. The female brought the son back and sent them on their way without a single word.

The male rolled his eyes as the female turned her attention on him and demanded to know who he was. "Just because you demand to know who I am, it doesn't mean I'm going to tell you. You already know what I'm here for, shouldn't that be enough for you little do gooder?" he spat back with a flat tone and started on his way walking right by her without a single care in the world. Lazarus didn't care how gracious she was, he didn't care how much better than him she thought she was, no one spoke to him like that, not even his father. So he sure as hell wasn't going to allow it from some pitiful angel. That was far out of he question.

Amariah rolled her eyes when the man walked away from her. Typical. "Stay away from the mortals. I won't have you dealing with the souls of my fathers creations for petty things I can do without the price." With that Amariah disappeared before another word could be spoken between the two of them, if one of Lucifer's mutts insisted on running around causing havoc, she would make it as hard for him as possible. If he wanted to dance, she would dance.

That night Amariah settled down in the apartment her father had commandeered for her if she ever wanted to go to earth, why he chose New York city she didn't know, and until now she had no need or desire to go to earth. The next day she started slowly unraveling the chaos the Demons had been causing when they were left unchecked. She was getting rid of the Demons that posses human bodies and helping all those she could before the man she had stumbled into before could get to them, she was frequenting hospitals for the most part, that was where most of the deal were made, people were often desperate to save sick and dying family members even if it cost them their own souls. Amariah wouldn't have that, she could perform the same miracles and have nothing given to her in return.

Amariah was trying to stay under the radar as much as she possibly could, healing people when no one else was around so that no one could give accounts of the person performing miracles. Her fathers instructions were clear, earth belonged to Heaven, the people belonged to him, she was to stop Hell from creating chaos on Earth like it had been, she planned to follow through on her fathers orders.

The male sighed and just rolled his eyes at the angel's response, no matter how hard she tried to take all of Earth back and have it controlled by nothing more than Heaven itself it was going to take a lot of hard work for that to happen. There was no way she would be able to stop the human's curiosity about Hell and all these wicked sins. It's inevitable, there is no way to stop it. If they're curious about it they're going to go out looking for it.

Lazarus continued walking through the streets, visited a couple hospitals and retirement homes, made a few deals here and there before heading up to his apartment. Even though he could just teleport to his apartment, he much rathered the walk. As he climbed the stairs and got closer to his apartment he could sense the angel's presence. "Oh hell no," he thought to himself after reaching his door. The female lived in the apartment just across the hall from him. "What did God and his father have planned? Did either of them really think this through before setting us up right across from the other?" Lazarus just rolled his eyes and stepped into his apartment and closed the door behind him.

He was in no mood to interact with the pathetic angel at this moment. He would much rather have some time to himself. Lazarus removed his clothing, leaving him in nothing but his boxers and plopped down on the couch and turned the television on. All these television shows were horrible. What did these humans find so entertaining about this sappy shit?

Amariah could sense as soon as the Demon walked into the building, she let out a sigh rolling her eyes it was going to be impossible to sleep with him in the building. She groaned laying back on the couch turning her attention back to the tv getting ready to settle in for a long night, clearly her father hadn’t though this through clearly enough even though he had claimed she would be the only one in the area. She didn’t know how he could be so oblivious to a planet her created.

Before dawn the next day Amariah left her apartment, she decided an early start was probably the best start, it seemed people were hearing about the other who had miraculously recovered and many were planning on heading to New York with sick loved ones in hopes that they would also be healed by whatever was in the city. It was making it exceedingly hard for Amariah to heal anyone, trying to stay in the shadows and undiscovered was the hardest task.

She was in a little girls room, the young child was sick with a fatal type of leukemia. Amariah shifted looking at the girl in her frail state, her parents had gone to the chapel to pray while waiting for a priest to present the last holy sacrament this girl would receive, before she could get to work someone appeared behind her. She could feel his presence behind her and turned to face him. “I thought I told you to stay out of my way?” Amariah growled locking eyes with him, there was that same feeling in her soul, she wondered if he felt it to, if he even had a soul.

Lazarus had just left the church and decided to wander around the hospital for a few minutes before heading back out onto the streets. He had made five deals since he's been awake and out on the streets. Just as he stepped into the hospital he could sense that the angel had been there again. He sighed and followed his senses and found that she was in the room with the girl he had just healed by making a deal with her grandfather. The male smirked a bit and glanced down at the blonde angel before him. "No need to heal her, she will be fully healed in three, two, one," just as he said one the girl shot up catching a full breath of air and her leukemia was completely healed. "Oh and by the way, just because you tell me to stay out of your way, it doesn't mean I'm going to listen to you. I go where my tasks take me, just as you do," he stated just as he stepped out the room due to the little girl seeing the two of them beginning to argue. A human didn't need to be seeing this. Even though he didn't care about what happened to the girl if she heard what the two of them were speaking about, he did care what his father would do if he found out Lazarus had revealed himself to a child.

"Also, you're quite hot when you're upset," he added before walking through the halls and out the door as he lit a cigarette. He leaned against the brick wall and took a drag from the tobacco stick. This was very much needed after dealing with an angel. Angels were the most dreaded beings in the universe in his opinion. Humans laid just beneath them. The only reason he tolerated humans more than angels is because humans are potential future demons. If he got them to trade their soul, it was inevitable they would become just like himself. That's what he was here to do, to grow his father's army in order to take over Earth for the first time in millenia.

"Darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always bring good."

Dialogue Color:#00accb

Amariah clenched her fists at the comment, she looked back at the little girl who she easily could have saved without one of her family members sacrificing themselves. She walked out of the hospital seeing Lazarus against the brick wall she went over crossing her arms.
"I figured out who you are. It took me all night, I had to be very secretive because if my father found out you were anywhere near me..." Amariah laughed debating whether or not she would actually tell her father, see him deal with Satan's son so she didn't have to. "You are just the offspring of an Angel gone bad. I am the offspring of the man who created your father, when I tell you to stay out of my way, I suggest you do it."

Amariah's eyes narrowed, she had been in the same vicinity as Lazarus for barely two days and already she was already starting to become frustrated and annoyed at his pressence. "I could raise Hell just the same as I can move Heaven." Amariah took a breath closing her eyes letting the tension leave her body, she could do it, she knew she could, but she also knew she wouldn't. When her eyes opened she met Lazarus' gaze and took in another breath she looked at him for a while, the son of Lucifer standing before her, she took in another shallow breath, oh how her father would be disappointed in her for not ending him. She felt that was a battle that would take to many innocent lives. "My father would be disappointed in me, that I've come across you multiple times and I haven't killed you. I can't help but wonder if yours would be disappointed in you for the same reason. Amariah didn't take her eyes off of him. "I don't think you and I are that different Lazarus. You're here for the same reason I am. Keeping him happy for fear of his wrath, always doing what they say when they say it, living up to unreasonable standards. Sound familiar?"

Amariah didn't give him a chance to answer the question, she just turned from him pulling her hood up over her golden hair walking away.
