Long live the human heart!

Personality
Marishka ia a headstrong girl that happens to be very impulsive and rebellious. She won't stand for bullies and has a major music obsession. If there is no music, no beat, then she'll wander off to find it. She'll move until she finds this so-called beat inside her head. Marishka also has some very odd ideas about safety. She likes adrenaline, and will often wander off if she finds something she dubs boring, until she finds something fun and spontaneous. She's always moving, constantly trying to find something to do and always trying to find the "beat." Something she is determined to find, no matter what others say or do to keep her from moving on. She may not know how to fight, but she will kick and scream like you've never seen a crazy wild girl. She also has a sense of humor that makes a lot of people laugh their teeth out. She can't stand tense situation, and often appears to be the dumb blonde just to keep people from yelling and throwing punches.

Gifts and skills
Marishka does have a very nice gift, if that's what you would call it. She can mimic other people's voice after just hearing them speak. It's something she's been quite proud of. Doesn't matter how high pitch or deep voiced. She can mimic it.

Fears and weakness's
Marishka is afraid of snakes-like creatures, spiders and caterpillars.

Weapons and Armour.
Marishka does not have a lot of weapons or Armour, since she's still young and naive. She also does not know how to fight, in any way.

Back tracing my steps...

History
Marishka lived with a tiny family of four; Herself, her parents, and her brother. She has just run away, trying to find the "Beat." She felt that her normal life was too boring and that something was going to pull her away anyways. She left four days ago, and hasn't hit much trouble, except for the snake-like creature she found the other day. Not much has happened to this young girl. Her life has always been boring and dull from her perspective. Sure, her family has had it hard, fighting hard to keep others away and staying hidden. That hasn't been easy. Her father was a soft hearted and had betrayed his clan just so he could settle down.

Gabriel

Gabriel watched his quarry stalk through the long grass. Her brown sun-streaked mane blending in with autumn theme. Her motions, graceful yet stiff with a dullness that suggested Death. The black armor hugging her feminine features. The woman below was as graceful and dangerous as a tiger.... or a panther, he thought. Somehow, that comparison made the connection. He made no noise as he effortlessly dropped from the boughs of an oak tree, tackling the lady to the ground. He felt a fist dig itself into his stomach and the air whooshed out of his lungs. He coughed and blinked open his albino red eyes, to see her green ones staring into his. "Have you decided to turn on me?" The voice, offered no sympathy, humor or even an accent. Just dead words. "Geez Ember, don't you understand the words Mock fighting, or even Play fighting?" He spoke each words slowly and with obvious hidden meaning.

Ember replied with a shake of her head.

Gabriel grunted, he had expected the answer, but he just hadn't believed that anyone could not ever fight without the intent to kill. He got to his feet, muttering about his female companion and cursing, remembering the other times he's tried to have an actual friendly conversation with Ember. The last so-called conversation had actually been filled with exactly four words. Something about how he thought the tea was delicious when it had been bland and her reply was just silence and stillness. Until he "accidentally" spilled his cup of tea and she had once again... done nothing. The girl was practically a moving corpse.

Back to the point, Gabriel thought to himself, trying to get his mind back on course. They needed food for tonight's talk-less dinner. "We ran out of army rations last night, and I think we should split up. I know I'll bring back a big buck or something, but I don't know about you..." He felt confidant he could hunt deer, when really he didn't know a thing about hunting. All his life, he's just eaten army rations or Bushman's Rice. Which was actually larvae of a bug's name he's forgotten about. He then pulled his staff from the area it was hidden in, and spoke some words to it. It suddenly made a whistling noise and it was suddenly a two sided spear. Gabriel looked Ember over and motioned to her bow. "Maybe you could get a doe, or a rabbit, but anything edible should do." He watched Ember and shrugged his shoulder when he got no reply spoke to himself, "And the game begins." He turned and began walking off.

Ember Wolfe

Ember watched Gabriel walk away, his white hair a stark contrast to the dead forest. She held up her black bow and strung an arrow before walking off in the opposite direction. Her mind set on the deer tracks she found earlier that morning... And the tracks had been fresh then, so that same herd should be around.

Several minutes later, she was able to find the same trail, but with a new edition. There were human tracks following them. From the size and imprint, it weighed less than Ember did, and it was probably female. She followed both trails to a small lake. She ignored the beautiful scenery before her, and focused only on her targets. Both tracks led to the water, and both were in sight. The deer were actually white tails, a rarity nowadays, and the tracks were a young female Neko. Somehow, both were able to stay in the same place without disturbing one another. Odd. Ember got into position, aiming for a buck that would best be called a six pointer, currently taking in some much needed water. She held the pose for a few seconds, and then let the arrow fly, hearing a startled yelp and a struggle.

Ember watched the blonde haired girl shriek while staring at the buck get to it's feet and stagger toward the forest, blood seeping down its side. The buck only made it to the tree line. Ember stood and stalked into view with her bow drawn, aiming for the girl's chest. The girl took one look at Ember before being naive and bolting for the forest. Ember had to admit the girl was fast, but not as fast as an arrow, or a bullet. She licked her lips before letting the arrow loose and watching it go through some of the girl's clothing and holding her to the tree.

Marishka Amur

Marishka shrieked profanity at the strange lady, and tried to yank from her sudden acre. Too bad her jacket was leather. And she wasn't strong enough to rip the arrow out from the trunk of the tree or even tear away. When the lady came within talking distance, she stopped and spoke. "State your name." The voice was dead, and the fact that it sounded so scared Marishka. She didn't want to be taken into a military system to become someone like this woman, dead and dull. She didn't want to go home either. "It's Marishka and please don't hurt me." She was afraid, and if the lady didn't have the bow, Marishka would have been cursing/mocking her and not complying with her orders. The lady's face didn't change, nor did it express anything. It was just a cold mask.

Marishka tried another one last attempt at ripping free, but of course, got no where. "Ya know, you're a great shooter, I'm lucky you weren't one. I might have been skewered with this arrow." She began towing with its feathers and trying not to meet the lady's dead features. "Don't you think it was a little overkill? Killing the buck and then almost killing a girl. Maybe its not to you, but it is to me, and wouldn't it be mighty if you suddenly decided I wasn't an enemy?" Marishka began to ramble, and the lady noticed by stating the obvious. "You're babbling."

Suddenly Marishka's rebelliousness shot up, "Yeah something that happens when people are nervous? Don't you ramble when you get nervous or when someone almost killed you?!" She looked up to glare at the lady and was shocked to see some brown eyes looking at her differently. Like they were confused. "I don't know. I've always killed my enemy before they could almost kill me." Marishka stared and began opening her mouth and closing it like a fish, numerous times before shutting it and looking away. Waiting for the lady to release her or kill her.

Kaijay Wrife

Rousing himself, Kaijay's body seemed to creak as he moved, muscles shifting under skin, akin to the groaning of floorboard chafing against one another. Kaijay stretched, extending his arms outward, the tension gathered at his core. All his stiff joints came loose at a single expelled huff of his breath, outreached arms once again returning to rest at his sides. He came to pass his tongue over his lips, salvia glossing over the ridges in the skin.

He could feel his hunger returning. An empty stomach was like a virus, the infection circulates throughout you, eating away at you, making your body frail as you're striped of fats, then muscle, and when you're all gobbled up by the the empty stomach, you die. None of this did Kaijay feel fretful about, but his body sniveled in pleas of a growling stomach and Kaijay merely adhered to his body.
Kaijay moved like fluid, even a figure of more agile than he contrasted to his accustomed movement through the throngs of nature. Plodded with leaves, his steps were equally soft to a trickle of water.

Before even catching vision of anything, Kaijay felt uncomfortable, the kind of anxiousness when the bloodlust of your predator is upwind, but he did not feel alerted to a distinct presence. Someone must have been through this area, not just a single person but a few. It wasn’t uncommon for a solitary person to wander the shouldering outskirts of the forest, but a group passing through embroidery green was new. Kaijay crouched down, the long grass greeted his arrival, the rubbery tips brushing his skin, leaving a in their wake a trail of ticklish sensations.

Kaijay kept motionless for a brief interval, senses temporarily amplified by concentration. "Phantom ears perking", he detected a soft vibration of sound, a powerful force, from a distance away. Fear apprised him of the potential threat, but another concept so predominate in humans was curiosity, and Kaijay's intrest was fanned. He took a few lengthy stalks forward, after all, Kaijay did what he felt, not what he thought. His curiosity would simply be quenched as he watched the two Necos that had been slinking through the forest. He did not know what they were doing nor why there were here, but those were things Kaijay never bothered to question.

Ember Wolfe & Marishka Amur

Ember ignored the girl for a moment, silent thinking to herself about the possibilities. She could kill the girl and not tell Gabriel about it. A deceivers way. The idea didn't mean anything to her, but she never tried to associate herself with being a liar until now. The idea was oddly... just not her type of hiding someone's death. It would be better just to take her prisoner and have Gabriel decide her death. Better plan. Ember commented to her self as she stared at the girl and took out a black rubber chain.

Upon seeing the rubber chain, Marishka knew she was going to become the dead lady's prisoner. Something that was a lot worse than death. She could be tortured or become some idiotic guy's harem girl. Marishka felt insulted at the thought, but she kept her mouth shut and watched as the stranger wrapped her hands in the rubber metal. She tested it a bit and felt it give. She thinks this will keep me occupied?! Hah!, its a good thing I brought my kn- Her thought was cut off as she watched the chain melt and wrap her hands, mummy style to her stomach. Much more difficult to escape.

Ember watched her prisoner glare at her bonds before walking toward the dead buck. "You can run away, but no one else can get the bonds off you. You can wander the woods for days and most likely die from starvation or malnutrition. If anyone else touches it, it'll just tighten its grip on you until your blood circulation is cut off. You can burn it off but that type of temperature would also kill you. I suggest you follow me and just do as your told." Her monotonous words were somewhat sharper than usual, and this - from the look on Marishka's face - scared her. She yanked her dead buck up, only to put it back down again. She stared at it before leaving it for the animals. It wasn't exactly a waste of food, but it could have provide her and her companion with food for a month or two.

Marishka glared after Ember, and started trudging after her. There was no point in running away. She made that perfectly clear, and all the was left, was to follow.

When Ember had finally tracked down her companion's tracks, she found him sitting in the company of an armed man. Apparently someone's hostage for the moment. She gritted her teeth and irritatedly shoved her brown hair away from her face. "Stay here." She commanded Marishka before jumping into a tree, and jumping from tree to tree silently making her way to a tree branch right above the blondie. Ember was going to do exactly what Gabriel had done to her, but this time, she's be successful. She positioned herself correctly and dropped from the branch, and if she was correct, she'd tackle the - hopefully light weighted - man to the ground. Her armor gave her several extra pounds and she already weighed a lot, just muscles and bones. She didn't have any weapons in her hands because she didn't want to accidentally fall on her own knife.

((I really don't want to kill one of my characters unless I really, desperately/want to))

Ember looked to her left/right (wherever Kaijay is at) and stiffened. She loosened her muscles and stared at the stranger, before speaking. "Are your intentions to harm or to befriend?"

Marishka snorted at Ember's words and continued to stand still.

Gabriel walked over to the strange girl and asked, "What exactly happened?"

Ember & Gabriel & Marishka

Ember was straddling Ace. She was glaring down at him with one of her black daggers pressed to his throat, the other in her fist, pulled back like a punch when he spoke. She stared down at him, her dead eyes almost becoming burning orbs of flame when they sputtered and died. She was confused by what he talking about when recognition came to her. Ace Tyrant. Faith. Jennifer, and Darius. The murderous look on her face faded, so she looked over at the girl he was talking about then she looked to Gabriel.

Gabriel was okay with two people, but was surprised when Ember appeared, using his earlier moves by tackling Ace to the ground. He watched them before shaking his head, disappointed that no one would be getting slaughtered. "Guess I can't enjoy your screams of agony." He let out a dramatic sigh, and knelt beside Owsla. "The name is Gabriel and can I say that maybe you should get off the man-boy so we can tend to the wounded, Ember."

Marishka watched all this happen, and felt glad that Gabriel was tending to another injured girl. That basically meant he had compassion... or one of those emotional words. Marishka didn't remember much of what her mother taught her. Planting edible herbs probably wouldn't help her here.

Ember removed herself from Ace and waked over to Gabriel, handing him the pack when she got close enough.

Gabriel took the pack from Ember and began to dig through it. "My companion's name is Ember Wolfe, and we've been traveling for awhile. I, obviously don't know the naive one there." He motioned to Ace with a nod. "So, tell us, what is your name?"

Owsla

Owsla wasn't used to neco compassion, or rather any kind of compassion in the first place. She gave a weary look and shivered slightly. "I'm...owsla." She said, looking away from the male and giving ember a weary look. She didn't get a good feeling from the woman, something in her gut telling her that she would be a threat in due time. She pressed her lips together in thought, thinking of ways to keep traps on her person so that if the occasion should arise, she could escape cleanly, but leave the woman crippled.

She took the fabric off the wound, revealing a jagged wound in her forearm. It had stopped bleeding, but it stung. she flicked the fabric back onto the wound. "I didn't think anyone really roamed in groups anymore...well other than bandits anyway. I heard the war had caused it to stop." Owsla looked around at the others. Ace looked as harmless as a neco could be. Then again, she didn't know a neco could look that non-threatening really. And gabriel was someone she would have to watch as well. Something didn't sit well with her about him.

Ace Tyrant

Ace squirmed as he watched the black liquid that once bound the girls wrists crawl back up towards Ember. He found it completely terrifying and disgusting, wrinkling his nose in horror. However the blonde made no comment and plucked some bandages, healing ointment, energy pills and other very useful items from the cupboard before throwing them at Gabriel.

The white haired male began to speak but was quickly silenced by the horrific gunk that Ember slapped across his mouth. Ace had no idea why exactly she had done such a thing, but it sure was funny. He let out a rather 'anime boy' sounding laugh which continued until his rib cage stung with pain.

"There's no...clan nearby?"

"Clan or no clan, there is always someone wanting to kill you. I am guessing you have realized that though..." He said with a soft tone, pointing to her bloody arm. "Chill, Gabriel will get you fixed up. Nobody is going to hurt you here unless you pull some kind of stunt." He told Owlsa, a thin grin growing on his lips. "You look like the mischievous type..."

Ace turned to his window, his pupils suddenly catching a hold of a figure in the bushes. He wondered if someone had followed after one of his 'friends', waiting in the shrubbery for a attack. He swallowed hard before scooping up Sophia and turning to the group. It was better safe than sorry after all. "I am just going to check something...I will be right back, follow me if you must but make sure she gets cleaned up."

The runt ran out into the near by woodland, eyes watching the low and rather uneven movements of the stranger a fair distance away. "I am armed!" The blonde simply called out, though his bow was not raised quite yet. He did not wish to start a fight.

Gabriel & Marishka & Ember

"Chill, Gabriel will get you fixed up. Nobody is going to hurt you here unless you pull some kind of stunt." Gabriel rolled his eyes and picked up the healing ointment, and then stared at the energy pills for a second. He was silent with the whole black gunk on his face but he was thinking of all the insults he'd throw the Man-boy once his mouth was free. Gently probed her arm, making sure the bone was not broken or harmed in any way. Gabriel smoothed the ointment over and in her wound, not exactly knowing how the ointment stuff worked. Once that was over he, he placed a bandage around her entire arm, making sure it wouldn't fall off.

Marishka stayed silent. The entire exchange was very hard for her to really comprehend. She never met anyone from the whole "Clan" world. Except for the tall, dark and very pale stranger her father met once. That event had only happened when she was about three days old, so she really didn't remember that.

Marishka shook her head to herself, and began to hum a tune to calm her nerves.

Ember followed Ace outside. She watched the black figure, went back inside gave Gabriel her compound bow and took his twin swords. When she was back outside, she was standing beside him, twirling the swords slowly, as if awaiting someone's death.

Owsla

The feral girl tilted her head to the side at Gabrial's sudden departue. She snarled a bit, unhappy that her curiousity about the woman wasn't sated and started to wander the cabin a bit. Soft and coushy items were forigen to her. A couch, a kitchen anything that made a home wasn't something he was used to almost to the point of being completely alien. She poked around a bit, but soon became bored and frestrated from her lack of knowlege of everything.

She sat back on the floor, snapping her head to attention at the sudden noise of ace coming in. She still had her knife in on her, sheathed on her back. However, this male hadn't turned out to be a threat.

Yet.

She tilted her head to the side at his question. "Something about something happening in the city but I don't know." She said, turning around to face the wall. She closed her eyes and started taking deep breaths, the feeling on uneasiness settling in her gut. Something was off. She didn't know if it was one of the others or something else. but something felt...off. "A city means bandits. But also supplies i guess. I don't wann-"

The noise of the door opening suddenly caused her to jump and screech in a mix of fear and rage. Her large knife quickly unsheathed and blade at the intruder. Her eyes wide and wild with fear. She had a stance that looked odd for a neco, down on all fours as if restraned by something but able to move all the same. A stance that was familiar to some.

(I have messaged Shade, if she/he does not reply soon we will have to move on. Though I hope that does not happen :c Lol I keep getting confused where people are. I guess it is kind of my fault. Everyone expect Owlsa is outside, and Owlsa is inside watching. I fucked up lol. Just respond to anything.)
Ace Tyrant

"Who did you find, Brother?"

Marishka spoke, catching his attention and so he turned to her with his usual soft and bubbly grin. "Oh Hello...Sister?" The youth blinked, deciding not to questions her odd nickname for him. In fact he found it kind of sweet. "This is Cheyenne. Hey! Stop!" He shouted sternly, before reaching out and swiftly grabbing her knife hand. Ace then realized she was joking and released her slowly, eyes sarcastically wide with a glare that said 'What the hell do I do with you?'

SLAM.

Ace turned towards to noise to find a white blurr entering his cabin. Of course he registered the being to be Gabriel but with the mood he seemed to be in and the young girl still inside, it made the blonde dash towards the house. "Hey! HEYY!!!..." Owlsa reacted badly twirled into a defensive position, a stance that Ace knew off. His mind automatically clicked to the odd feral creature thing that he and Jennifer had "befriended" once, though the man mainly just creeped him out. Ace decided it would not be best to speak up about this and so let the thought settle in his mind.

The male then pounced towards him, face furious and hot with anger. Ace flinched as Gabriel drew his spear, letting out a quiet moan of fear as it stopped just before his neck. However, after that he managed to swallow his panic and replace it with disgrace. The blonde grabbed the weapon by the part just before the blade and held it steady so he could not force it forward to slit his neck. "What the hell?..." He spat. The fact that Gabriel had just turned on him like this for no reason was not courageous, just rude.

"What are you doing, Gabriel?"

Ace kept his head forward, but his pupils turned to Ember, softening as he met her expression. She clearly knew as much of what was going on as he did. "Seems your friend here does not like me! Any idea why? Cause I don't."

Owsla

The urge to run was hot with owsla, to be quick and potentially trap them in the cabin running through her mind. She watched at Ace fought of the intruder, but started to to sneak around behind them. She watched the cold woman closely, moving into a small hiding spot where she could jump out and on her if need be.

This was her reality. Neco rage and hostility, tension anywhere and anywhere. Even to the point where she could crave the air with her knife. She started to mutter to herself, her hand shaking with a cocktail of rage, fear and uncerenty. "Om tare tuttare ture savah...om tare tuttare ture savah...." repeating the phrase under her breath as she shifted a bit to see.

Something about this woman...still rubbed her the wrong way.

Ace Tyrant

Ace watched as Ember returned Gabriels weapon that Marishka had got her hands on, whether it being accidental or not the blonde did not exactly know. His eyes then wandered back to the white haired male ahead of him who's weapon was still raised until the brunette came along and pushed it from his throat. The male roared with anger, his blue iris's lighting up with a kind of emotion that Ace normally would not display to anyone. It just simply was not in his nature. However this asshole had pissed him off.

"A Warrior's most prized weapon is as important as any limb. Stealing one would usually get you tortured."

"Why the hell did you make assumptions at me!" The blonde spat violently, gritting his teeth tightly. "Do you have a problem with me Gabriel? I have no idea why because I have done nothing to you!..." He then turned to Marishka, seeing her expression to maybe display a little fearful, he became defensive. "Don't turn this round on her either. She clearly did not mean it. Sorry that the little child lost his toy!" Ace also noted that Owlsa had fled too, causing more trouble for himself to go searching later on. Gabriel just seemed to be screwing up something that had started out as a amazing experience...

At that point Ember stepped between the pair, maybe forcing Ace to snap back into his normal soft hearted self. She had that affect on him...just like Jennifer had.

Marishka & Gabriel & Ember

Marishka was silent the entire time the strange people began to talk. Her eyes were anime like and from the way she didn't look at Gabriel, Ace and Ember, she was uncomfortable with all the arguing. Where she came from, her parents never fought in full view. She looked only at Owsla's sleeping form and anything other than the tensed Necos in front of her.

Gabriel watched Ember stalk away from the group. It was such an abrupt gesture that he couldn't help but grin. "First sign of emotion I've seen yet." He looked at Ace and tipped an imaginary hate to him. "I tip my hate to you. You got under her skin or you just brought up a topic I never had or will have the guts to do." He walked over to the cabin and couldn't help but study it while he strolled around it. He sighed and pulled himself onto the roof. He lay back on the roof with his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. Owsla did remind him that he hadn't had any sleep in the last 31 hours.

Ember had found her way to the top of a hill nearby with a view to the surrounding area. She sat and ran her fingers through the loose dirt, her mind trying to shut the memories leaking from the vault she locked them in. The brother she worked with. The betrayal and then that emptiness. The hard work she put into shutting off the emotions and memories. Her green eyes glowed with anger at herself.

(Famished I am waiting on you twatface. Also is Owlsa in the cabin?)
Ace Tyrant

"I said he wondered the wastes not randomly attacks people."

Ace sighed, crossing his arms and glaring at the little white haired girl with a puzzled expression. "I did not say he did, I was just going off what you had told me about him." His tone into something soft and concerned, which was a familiar voice for the blonde. "Why do you care so much? I know it is a story from your clan, but still you are like a old Sapien and their television programs," He asked.

"She's like any other neco from a clan Blondie. Something's you just can't change."

He fell into silence, face lowered as his pupils followed the panther of a woman. She had gone. She had left him. Left his life. Even though Ace could relate her to Jennifer, she was not her. He was sure Jenn would have stayed along side him, or at least responded and gave him a slap for trying to tell her what to do. Ember did nothing, just left with out a word. "I know. I'm a fool for thinking otherwise."

"First sign of emotion I've seen yet."
"I tip my hate to you. You got under her skin or you just brought up a topic I never had or will have the guts to do."

Ace flinched as Gabriel "tipped his hate on him," eyes growing wide and shiny as he struggled to breathe drowning in this hate. "You know some people don't like to sit there in ignorance. This is reality we are living in. You can go round playing toy soldiers but apart from fighting, you don't have a clue about anything do you?!" He snarled, tempted the smug grin of the angelic male.

He then pranced up onto the roof, looking as though he was settling down the same as Owlsa had. It left himself and his "sister" who had held silent all this time along side him. "You guys do realize I have spare beds right?" Blondie shouted, not that Gabriel would be welcome in his home. He then turned back to Marishka with a sad expression. "Lets get inside..."

Owsla

Owsla shifted in her sleep some what, hearing the statement that Ace said, but not caring much since she was already asleep anyway. She faced away from the room, laying on her side in the corner next to the couch. She wasn't used to anything soft really but it as some kind of cover for her, and that was good enough.

She walked through a sapian village, people walking around and talking with eachother as if she wasn't there. As if no one could see her. It seemed like nothing would ever go wrong here, it was peaceful for once in this place. She wandered about for a bit, watching the people chat and children play anmong themselves. However, she stumbled across an out of the way house, with a woman with white hair outside and a small child also with a tuft of white hair on it's head.

A man came out of the house soon after, black hair and scars on his arms and neck as if he had been fighting all his life, lifting the child over his head causing the kid to laugh and scream. She could feel a few words from them, but one stuck out in her mind. 'Osanal'. The couple hit something in her mind, like she knew them and she had been very close to them at one point.

But the moment of peace didn't last. People started running away, screaming something about them. Smoke in the distance bellowing suddenly. The child started to cry from the commotion as the mother tried to calm the kid down. The man hugging the woman and petting the child to calm it down, all of it so familiar, but he body was frozen and forced to watch it all. However, the heat of the fire caused her to scream and shutting everything to black.

Owsla's eyes shot open, flinching violently in her spot. She was facing away from the room, glad that she was in the first place as she could feel tears falling down her face.

Ace Tyrant

"Sorry, but I can practically hear the trees calling me."

The blonde let out a long sigh and rolled his pupils at the girl who could have been his younger sister. That was how Ace wanted to view Marshika and how he wished her to see himself, the same with Owlsa though she was much more stubborn. The man watched her prance towards the nearest tree and make her bed upon its bark. To him it did not seem like the place you could get the best nights sleep but who was he to question her preferences? "Just make sure you are safe and out of sight. You got that? I have already saved your backside once before I don't want to be doing it again. Goodnight." His voice almost seemed father like and weirdly, it fitted him perfectly.

After a few moments Ace began to lose focus, eyes secured upon the hill that Ember that had seeked alone time upon. He wished she had not left his side, but the blonde could not say he regretted what truth he spoke even if it had earned him a verbal beating from Gabriel.

"Ace."

Oh and now he was sure he was losing it. He even refused to glance over his shoulder at where that blissful sound had come from. It had happened before time and time again and it bit his heart with the most awful pair of fangs. "Shut up." He spat, before turning to head back to the Cabin, resisting the urge to spend hours searching the forest. He made it to the doorway before leaning against its frame with a thousand wishful thoughts running through his mind.

"Blondie."

"Shut up." Ace spat once again, harsher this time, though careful not to wake dear Owlsa napping in the corner. Red hot tears now threatened to spill from his eyes and roll down his cheeks. Why did his mind need to wreck him like this? Had he not dealt with enough today? He turned to the forest which stretched out before him to find her stood there too close for comfort.

Jennifer.

At first he froze, blinking hard though no matter how much he did her figure would not vanish like usual. Ace stepped towards her slowly, like he would with a fox who could so easily run away. She was here rather often, just a ghost who still wandered between memory and reality. He was close enough now to hear her unsteady breaths and with a simple stretched arm he could touch her face. He moved to do so but paused before his fingertips met her cheekbone. The blonde began speaking to her as he would when his mind fucked him over before hand, not realizing her form was real.

"I really messed up today. I found some old...friends and made some new ones. Once again I find myself being weak Jenn. I'm so sorry."

Jennifer lay awake, shaken from her nightmares, her eyes half-closed and focused on the wall opposite her, senses wide open, taking in everything she could: the gentle heat (a combination of sunlight and Ace) spread through her body, the looseness in her limbs (nightmares and fatigue had calmed her muscles the moment she had laid down to rest), the quiet sound of life around her (creaking and settling of the house, animals and breezes outside, the gentle trill of a quiet song muffled by skin and cloth). She felt lazy, and empty; she felt dead. She'd felt dead for quite a while. Ever since she'd slipped that blade deep in James' chest, the hot splash of blood pouring over her hands, sobs and laughter mingling together in the air--

Yelp!

She bolted straight up, hand flying to her thigh holster and gripping a pistol before leveling it at...a young girl, flat on her behind by the door. Cocking a dark brow, she clambered from bed (leaving the blonde behind without a single thought, though his heat clung to her skin in a comfortable way) and stood before the other girl, peering down with sharp eyes, all previous show of weakness or fear that had been there the previous evening wiped clean.

She stared in silence for a minute, then two, then parted her lips and spoke. "Are you...alright? You fell pretty hard." Holding out a hand, she offered a hesitant smile (all smooth skin and inhuman teeth, too sharp to seem normal, her entire expression distant and foreign) and cleared her throat. "Let me help you up."

The young girl didn't seem a threat, though she wouldn't let that throw her. Sliding her pistol back into its holster, she tried to look as soft and pleasant as she could, less like a murderous animal beneath the shell of a woman, and more like...an older sister? A mother figure, perhaps?

"What time is it? I'd hope it isn't too late; I was hoping to do some training. Is that what...you were doing?"

Owsla

As dazed as the feral child was, there was one thing that she hated more than anything. And that was being grabbed and pulled somewhere. For a moment, she didn't know what was going on. She didn't have a clue who this girl was that was pulling her, and for a moment, she let her pull her away.

Her mind started to come out of the fog that was the morning once she was out of the house, causing her to look around for a quick a moment and start to yank herself away. "Dont touch me!" She screeched before giving a screech that sound more animal than neco, but something familiar residing in it. She quickly slipped her hand out of her grip and sped back into the house on all fours.

She wasn't sure why she felt the need to run on all fours when she was running. She was good at it, but she didn't know how she got skill to do so. She quickly sped across the floor, brushing Ember on the leg as she skittered back to her crawl space, her knife unsheathed and trumbling as memories of every failed escape started rushing to her mind. She was a small animal cornered, and she was not afraid to lash out like one.

Recognition flooded Jennifer's mind, the woman before her struck some chord deep within her. She'd seen the face, long ago, if only for a few moments. It seemed to have saved her from having to fight.

"You would stab me," she mused aloud, though there was nothing but a withdrawn expression on her face, "for being startled? For trying to lift her up?"

Words didn't seem to fit what she was feeling at the moment. She felt...empty. And suddenly, useless. Even trying to be calm, she had frightened a young girl. Even trying to be kind, she was viewed as a threat. Fitting. Her ears caught the gentle sounds of a frightened girl, a young mouse, tucked away in a corner, quivering.

"If you are going to slice me, I invite you, do so now. If not, I ask that I may pass. I would like to get some water, and leave this room. Blondie," she gestured to Ace's sleeping form, "is still sleeping."

Truth be told, she wouldn't have minded being hurt. Stabbed. Killed, even. Since waking, she'd felt achingly empty; emptier than usual. Death would be welcome, at this point. She could be with James again. Be with her family again. Be with--

No. No, she was not dead. Was not.

"May I pass."

She had no patience for this. Either she would be killed, or she would not. She did not care.
