The Nation found on the northern continent of Azotera, stands as a testament to a regimental and strong country. One mired in a rich history of Monarchies and War. They were first founded by King Joren Sardavanch I. Rumed at first started as a divided country, one with numerous Fiefdoms left from a long since forgotten Monarchy. The other, lies with the struggling country of Calvanta. One that makes poor decisions and has had a history of bad economics. In the course of history he was once known as Lord Joren Sardavanch and was fiercely hated by his rivals. His constant scheming and cutthroat tactics made him the scourge of the land. One thing was for certain, his fief had the most strongest military.
In an amazing display of strategy, he managed to over come a Two Front War. Between his greatest rivals, Lord Nevil Ederman and Lord Dulan Maveraul. With his sweeping victory, he managed to gain control of three quarters of the entire continent. He had a massive vision for the land, one that would shake the very world. Azotera has a rough history of unmanageable fields from the harsh winters from the Northern Icecaps. The land faced severe famine from the winter months and being quite far north, most months suffer low temperatures. Because of this most farming is accomplished more towards the end of the year, where the sun provides the most warmth. Yet, while the land suffered Lord Sardavanch had an ambitious vision.
With the unity of the Warring Fiefs a Nation was born, one that would last for centuries. Sardavanch called his nation Rumed, an allegory to the Calith Word of Ruedaer meaning Perseverance. Sardavanch would be declared king. All of his years with the inter warring fiefs have come to their conclusion, and already King Sardavanch desired more. In his vision he felt that through the harshness of the cold made their people strong. He believed in a great army, one made of only the most mightiest, hardiest warriors one has ever seen. He placed heavy emphasis on industry, especially arms. He wanted only the strongest weapons for the strongest men. He soon led expeditions to unify Azotera under one rule. Taking his formidable forces, Sardavanch led a campaign against the neighboring country of Calvanta.
In Calvanta's recent history, they had a turn around in economics. Thanks to the King Davermene's brother Uval Davermene. Who would go on to invent Rumed's current Banking System. Thanks to his financial skills Calvanta, hasn't faced Civil Unrest for several years. With the threat of the approaching Rumedian Army, Calvanta's army prepared for the worse. On the dawn of the invasion, began one of the bloodiest battles on Rumedian soil. In 227, A.C.D, Military Strategist and General, Vill C. Matteran lead the charge on Fort Senslie as the Rumedian Army collided with Calvantian forces. The Calvantians were hopelessly outmatched, their arms straggled behind Rumed's not mention the Rumedians aggression. The siege took a matter of four days and Calvantian forces had no other choice but to retreat. This was much the same formula for the rest of the war. Overwhelming siege tactics brought down the majority of Calvantian forts and bases. They had no choice but surrender or face annihilation. After Sardavanch's Campaign, his dream unifying Azotera under one Crown has been accomplished. Now all was in place for Rumed to become of the greatest nations in the history of the world.
