❝ Watch out; someone itty bitty like you could get stepped on by my stillettos! Oh... oops, too late. Better make room for the big girls now; play time is over. ❞
❝ MORE THAN JUST A NAME ❞
Full name
"Yes, I know it's a boy's name; doesn't mean I'm a boy, faggot. Do I look like a boy?" Chandler Lamonte
Nickname
"Do not even go there." Chandler doesn't stand for nicknames. They're silly, unnecessary, and completely useless. Besides, what nickname can you give to Chandler anyways? The only living person who has called Chandler by a nickname was Alexander Pallifer, the first director she had. He called her his chandelier.

XOXO Character
The Nice Girl
Personality
"Well, of course you want to know about me; everyone does." There's something quite beautiful about being a bitch... and it's not just because the gorgeous Chandler is one. It's the beauty of the freedom that bitchiness gives you, the ability to say exactly what's on your mind without being... well, boring. The bitchiness isn't a cover up for a sweet side, not some kind of stupid wall created because of a tragic past. Please, even before tragedy threw itself at her like all of the other boys doing the same thing, she had been this way. She had been born without the thing that makes you care. Her whole life, she's been feared, hated, admired, coveted. She goes after what she wants, and does what she needs to do to get it. Act coy? Done. Seduce that man? That woman? Not a problem. Bat your lashes and play little Miss Sunshine to get the part of Cindy Peters on XOXO? Easier than taking candy from a baby - which honestly, Chandler would do if it got her fame and money. It's this sort of straight-forward thinking that's gotten Chandler such success as an actress. She sees acting as the secret key to a perfect life, and she's been pretending to be who she must to get what she's wanted since elementary school. A lot of people hate Chandler, but no one has ever accused her of being stupid, lazy, or untalented. She is talented, if only because she works hard enough to become the best at everything.
Which is, actually, what she wants. Chandler wants to be the best, because she wants that perfect life. She wants the lives of the characters she plays, ironically. She wants to be simple and sweet and rich and talented and passionate and compassionate, in the most secret places of her heart. Not because it appeals her... it actually disgusts her. But because in the stories, they get everything. Everything comes to them without them having to fight for it, and she's desperately sick of fighting. She does it because she feels she has to. She feels that there is no other way to end up on top in this wicked, strange world. Privately, she wants simplicity, but how can she get it? No. And despite the things people say, about being kind and getting the world, about caring for others and getting rewarded for it... Well, who gives a shit? What do other people know? Besides, caring about people is stupid. She's never cared about anyone, really... even her family. They have been a means to the goal, in the end. People can pretend to be a bitch all they want, but Chandler has the real thing. She wants what she wants, she wants the very best, and it's this motivation that leads up to everything else.
Character's Personality
"She's nice. Yeah, I wouldn't want to read the rest of this, either." Cindy Peters is, in Chandler's works, "icky sicky sweet." Well, with an edge, of course. She's one of the nicer girls in the set, with a cute smile and a bubbly atmosphere, but her happiness always goes hand in hand with an immense capacity for fun and danger. She's her happiest when she's at a party, drinking with her friends, and occasionally letting a boy do things to her that... well, things that should make such a nice girl a little uncomfortable. But nobody called her the Innocent girl, did they? She's friendly, she's nice... and she's always on the look out for something to do.
Background
"Oh, you want all the juicy details? Go ahead, sweetheart; see if you can manage it." Here's something to chew on: Chandler raised herself. What, how does that happen? Was she an orphan? No, not exactly. Her parents were around, of course, and they were good parents. Or at least, they tried to be, but no one would blame them for becoming frustrated with their darling daughter. Well, not darling... more like demonic. The small town of Farler, Wyoming wasn't ready for someone with a personality as loud as Chandler Lamonte's. The people were conservative, obsessed with college degrees and fishing, and nobody understood Chandler's desire to have a life bigger than Farler, Wyoming. "Wyoming," she would say disgustedly to her father whenever he listened, "who cares about Wyoming? The least populated state in the country. Pathetic. I want more than this, Daddy. I want more of my life than Farler." Nobody called Chandler stupid; she grew up intelligent, at the top of her class, at the top of the social food chain, at the top of everything she attempted. From the very beginning, she was a quick learner, and she learned from her businessman daddy how to manipulate others, and from her mother she learned grace and eloquence and the art of being in the public eye. Her parents were supposed to be glamorous, in Chandler's opinion. They had the right jobs for it, at least. But her father refused to take his business away from Wyoming, and her mother never bothered to charm the pants off of anyone more... well, interesting. From the very beginning, Chandler's ambitions had been the biggest factor of her personality, and she was constantly asking her parents to expand. But they refused, afraid of their only daughter. Because they were afraid of her. They had grown up simply, and despite their financial success, they remained grounded, bland people, just like the people Chandler was surrounded by.
Chandler decided to skip college and go straight to the city life. She started out at New York City, but for some reason, she couldn't stand it. So she moved to Los Angeles, worked odd jobs here and there, and somehow landed into a relationship with a well-known director. After all, Chandler was beautiful; how could she not catch the eye of every man around her? But the thing that came with beauty was admirers, too intimidated by your flawlessness to approach you. Not this director. Not Jesse Pentler. He had an arrogance that caught Chandler by the heart and led her to her very first audition: his. Not that she knew it, of course. In fact, Jesse refused to even show up to the auditions. He let his closest friend handle the casting: Robert Mann. She had natural talent, and Robert saw it immediately; after all, she had had enough practice with pretending to be someone else to get what she wanted. She was cast, and Jesse Pentler and Chandler Lamonte became even more inseparable. Until he got her pregnant, got into a car accident, and killed the baby... and himself. After that, Chandler wasn't interested in the acting scene. She didn't want anything to do with the business. But soon enough, she had no money left; the film hadn't been the hit that everyone had been expecting, and she was about to become homeless. So she took on another job, and then another job, and finally... she made it big. She was famous. She was the new it girl, stalked by paparazzi, who loved her bad girl attitude, her long legs, and her gorgeous smile.
When she saw Robert Mann again, she was tempted to run away from the awkwardness that was sure to follow. But instead, he asked her to take the role of Cindy Peters. And for some reason, she accepted. For Jesse Pentler.
Character's Background
"This girl again? Who cares? The only thing she's good for is a paycheck. I'm much more interesting." For the most part, Cindy lived the charmed life. She grew up unbelievably wealthy, with two friendly albeit distant parents who gave her five credit cards, with what seemed to be no limit at all. Despite her parents' lack of interest in her life at all, Cindy ended up ... reasonably decent. She was the nice one, the friendly one, always looking for the best in people. Snooore. No character like that could gain the hearts of viewers. No, she needed a tragic past. Her parents are cheating on each other, and Cindy continues to catch them in the fact. Eventually, Cindy's accepted the fact that there is no such thing as true love, but that doesn't mean her heart doesn't get caught by those around her continually. Cindy is considered one of the less interesting characters of the show, but Robert Mann has a few things planned for the girl. Just you wait and see.
