Introduction
Scandalous is high school based roleplay at a fictional high school run by questionable administrators. Students find themselves taken on a ride as other students, teachers and administrators use Bailey high as their vessel for some of the most scandalous behavior. Adultery, racism, and organized crime are just a few of the underground activities of one of the most highly esteemed public college-prep schools in America. Incidentally, the roleplay begins two weeks into the school year. The administrators have been taking steps to shut down any media or propaganda that does not promote the overall goodness and excellence of Bailey High. How long will they be able to deny our freedom of speech? Will you be the first to speak out at the cost of your future, or grab hold of the opportunities while they still last?
A blog by a silenced voice of Bailey High
The Psychology teacher just had a miscarriage, and her maternity leave is going to be a lot shorter than we thought. Stay tuned over the week if her stomach gets smaller. Psychology students might actually want to do that survey project she assigned. She was 12 weeks in and had to take excessive time off already. I feel so bad for her, but worse for the psych students because they are in for it. If they thought her class was rough before...
Meanwhile, the principle responds aggressively against the student body president's request for the first senior-skip-day of class of 2016. Principle Oswald threatens to take away privileges from seniors if they skip. Jeans, off-campus lunch, everything we worked so hard for, all at stake. Oh well, guess there will be no off time for us. Why's he being so uptight about it this year? Love to hear what you all think. Send your answers to the newspaper club's suggestion box.
As always, you didn't hear it from me.
Taking place in...

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 4 authors
A luxurious black sedan pulled up to the front of the school. Caroline Stather swiftly opened the car door. After she got out and closed the door, Caroline turned to the car as though she’d forgotten something. “Bye mom…” she said, but it was pointless. Her mother had already sped off. One of these days she’s going to get a ticket, she thought, if the cops weren't too busy pulling over Aisha. In the avenue to which her mother was exiting, a policeman was writing Aisha a ticket. It was too far away to hear, but Caroline could tell Aisha was trying to dispute the ticket. Covering her mouth with her hand, Caroline laughed.
Inside the school cafeteria, Akira waited for the bell to ring. Bailey High had a policy requiring students who arrived early to wait in the Cafeteria before school started. There students could pick up breakfast and chat with their fellow students. Commandeering the usual table, Akira set down her thick backpack and steaming coffee cup. She hoped the others would group up with her here before strangers found themselves at her table. She gently laid her head down on the table. Akira was overcoming a sickness that morning, but she didn't want to skip school. She took some medicine, and let it work its magic. However, she didn't notice, until it was too late, that she'd taken Nightquil instead of Dayquil. She was already feeling drowsy and desperate enough to chug that coffee if need be.
Within minutes, Caroline entered the cafeteria and sat across from the sleeping Akira at their table. Caroline tapped her shoulder until Akira woke up. "What?" Akira asked aggressively. "Sorry, did we have any homework for AP Gov'?" Caroline asked.
"Yeah, that packet she gave us on Friday, remember?" Akira managed. Of course, Caroline can hardly remember her lefts from her rights. In all honesty, she intended to do the assignment, but she procrastinated until she forgot all about it. A five page packet with short-answer, critical-thinking questions at the back should be easy for someone like Caroline Stather to finish before class started, so there was nothing to worry about, except history was her kryptonite. Her big brain couldn't just logic its way through like in math and reading; she had to actually study at least a little. "My goodness, you're right!" Caroline realized. She anxiously sifted through her backpack full of junk, eventually finding the packet buried in one of her binders.
"Want some coffee?" Akira offered. She had every intention of spreading her sickness. "No thanks," Caroline smoothly replied, "I like to wake up au naturel." She would have continued to say that caffeine stunts your growth, but it would be a weak argument considering: Akira was taller than her. Akira chuckled, "whatever." Now Caroline was hard at work trying to fight the clock. There was nothing more to say, so Akira laid her head down for another deep sleep.
"Sorry, dear. There was cat! I couldn't just run over it!"
"You know what mom, it's fine. I'm like two blocks away from school. I can walk it from here, wouldn't want you to be late," Before her mother could protest, Namwoo had already slipped her textbook her calculus homework and binder insider her book bag, also giving her mother a quick kiss on the check, and stepped out of the car. Namwoo hated cars anyway, they were death traps! "Now time to check that anonymous blog that spills all the tea of our school," Namwoo took out her smartphone and went to the bookmarked page of the blog. "The psychology teacher had a miscarriage?!" Namwoo put a hand to her heart. "That poor thing."
The walk to school was made much shorter with gossip at the tip of Namwoo's fingertips. She entered the school grounds with the rest of students hurriedly getting to school;presumably to get their unfinished homework done, just like Namwoo. Namwoo entered the school building and made her way to the cafeteria to get some breakfast, even if the breakfast tasted like cardboard and dishwasher fluid. At least it was edible.
"Dude, why are you always so happy? It's quite sickening."
Jasper rolled his eyes as he shrugged his shoulders, "Why are you always so glum? Cheer up man," he stated just before the two of them stepped into the crowded cafeteria. Jasper immediately stepped over to one of the lines, ready to get some food into his stomach. He hadn't eaten anything since lunch yesterday and quite frankly, he was starving.
Lucas followed his brother over to the breakfast line and took a glance at the substances this school was calling food. "You're seriously going to eat this crap?"
Jasper sighed at his brother and shook his head at his sour attitude, "You should know by now, food is food to me. So yeah I'm going to eat this, what did you call it? Crap? You should really boost your vocabulary."
"Whatever, I'm gonna go sit down," he stated before walking away and sliding his hands into his jean pockets.
The twins may look exactly like but they are complete opposites and not just in the way they dressed. Lucas had that bad boy look to him, leather jackets, dark, dingy clothing, jeans with holes in the knees and Jasper on the other hand had more of the clean, sophisticated look. He always wore button up shirts with an unbuttoned vest over it and either a pair of slacks or nice jeans. Jasper also always had his shirt tucked in.
In the past they were always told that Jasper got all of the good genes. He was the smarter out of the two of them, had the better attitude, where as Lucas always seemed to struggle more than Jasper in school and always had a sour, sarcastic attitude.
{Tristen Stonewell}
Tristen stood outside the school smoking a cigarette trying to convince himself to go home, but his feet wouldn't move. So he just stood there smoking and looking at the school. Tristen hated school, he always felt do confined in them and for a gypsy that was never a good thing. He finally was able to move and took a step forward and then another and another until he was through the doors and walking down the hall to where his first class would be. As he walked Tristen noticed people looking at him oddly. Right I forgot how uncool people were in this town.. Tristen thought as he stuffed his hands in the pockets if his leather jacket.
{Stella Hawthorn}
Stella was sitting at a table eating her usual breakfast of a greed apple and a huge bottle of water. She was tapping her pointer finger to the tune of an Etta James song that was playing in her headphones.
She hummed a few bars then stopped abruptly and jumped a little as someone sat down at the table as well. Stella didn't recognize the boy and slowly took her headphones off and smiled at the boy. Just as she was about to ask if he was new another boy walked up next to him and sat down, Stella blinked, she knew they were twins but it just took a second to register in her mind.
"Am I seeing double or are you two related?" She asked with a small sarcastic smile.
{Luca Earo}
Luca smiled at people as he trotted up the steps into the big school. His long brown hair was back in a slightly messy braid and a feather stuck out of the end of it, this made him look like some sort of Native American Chief. Which he technical was, his family came from a long line of Sioux chiefs.
He pulled up his sleeves when he walked through the doors, it was always to hot for him inside.
Luca made his way to the doors of his Government classroom and stood against the wall a script in his hands. He flipped through the pages memorizing his lines and only half paying attention to the people passing him by.
"Am I seeing double or are you related?" the blonde spoke up with a sarcastic tone. Lucas smirked at her words as he shrugged his shoulders and responded, "You're probably seeing double," he started before leaning in close to her so she could hear his whisper, "Whatever you're on, could I get some?" he questioned with a slight chuckle before leaning back in his chair.
Jasper just sat there in silence. He was never that great at speaking to attractive girls, that was always one of Lucas's strong suits. Every time Jasper would say a single word to an attractive girl, he would always stutter or sound completely idiotic.
"You hacked into the school Cameras?!" Caroline exclaimed. "How?" Her curiosity would rather have her ask: 'can my phone do that too?' but she feared the unknown consequences for getting caught with something like this.
"Well it's kinda like a WiFi-connection. The administrators can use their phones to watch us with their phones whenever they want, but you gotta have a certain app. And the password. I got it from the librarian's phone when she wasn't looking," going on a tangent, "Look at this, I can see everyone in the cafeteria." She giggled, "they look like ants."
"I don't think this is safe, Aisha. What if somebody catches you?" Caroline asked.
Ignoring her, "Look at this, Caroline. It's Mr. Oswald and Mr. Payne. I wish I could have sound and so I could hear what they're talking about."
Within in the empty halls of Bailey High, Allan Payne, the Dean of Academics, and Principle John Oswald were conversing about something extremely confidential just in front of the door of Mrs. Dunn's government class. "There's not need to rush this, John. We're not certain yet if it's her or not," Mr. Payne told him, "but if it's not her then an innocent girl could be-"
"Think of it this way," Mr. Oswald interrupted, "If the posts stop we know who it is. If they don't then we'll know with absolute certainty that it is the other suspect, and we still win. The Voice hasn't left us with any other options. Besides, do we really need another Asian kid who's not even good at ma-"
"John," Mr. Payne stopped him. He noticed standing behind Oswald was Lucas Earo. Oswald turned around and looked Lucas in the eye with his best death stare, without saying a word, he turned back to Mr. Payne and said, "My mistake, take care of this for me." Mr. Payne was flustered, but he composed himself enough to say, "Earo, you're supposed to be in the cafeteria right now, school hasn't started yet."
{Stella Hawthorn}
Smiling Stella held out her hand to shake the boys, "I'm Stella." She said as she leaned over the table slightly and took turns shaking the brothers hands. "Is it your first day here?" She asked pausing her music so he wouldn't lose her spot. She took a sip of water and watched the brothers. She could tell right away which one of them was the shy one. She smiled sweetly at him trying to make him a little less nervous.
{Luca Earo}
Luca looked up a moment after his name was called then looked at his watch, "No chess club meeting today?" He asked a little confused, then he remembered the club never had meetings on the first Monday of the month. "Oh, I seem to have gotten my days mixed up. Sorry." Luca quickly apologized then picked up his book bag and made his way to the cafeteria. He sighed when he took a seat at the end of a table away from it's other occupants. He just wanted to learn his lines in peace before this afternoon.
Jasper slowly placed his hand into her's and introduced himself as well, "J-Jasper," he answered with a nervous stutter. Not only was Stella a new person, but she was gorgeous, causing him to be more nervous around her than ever. Sometimes he wished he could be a bit more like his brother, that he would be able to have the confidence to speak to new people, speak to women. But of course, Jasper was too shy for his own good.
"Our first day," Lucas finally stated after a couple silent moments between the three of them passed. He was hoping that Jasper would break out of his shell just enough to answer her question. But apparently it didn't work that way.
"I didn't do it." Was the first thing that came out of her mouth, it was the truth after all. Namwoo doesn't know about Ikea, but she knows that she, herself, hasn't done anything; Namwoo is far too lazy to be bothersome anyway. Whatever it is, I definitely did not do it, so the obviously must be a mistake of some sort. My mother raised me correctly!" Namwoo thought she saw Ikea give her the side eye but she quickly brushed it off in favor of paying attention to the situation at hand and how she could get out of it safely.
"Yeah, the one to Europe," Akira added. "I didn't forget, the prices were just ridiculous." Akira's family wasn't financially challenged, but $1,499 to tour a college she wasn't even remotely interested in seemed unreasonable. Bailey high was unique in this aspect, that is, opportunities like this were few and far in between at other public high schools: to see a foreign college in person would definitely make studying abroad less intimidating.
"Well that's what I wanted to talk to you about. There are some new financial aid services..."
Meanwhile, Mr. Payne and Mrs. Sullivan were casually conversing at the door. It may have sounded like the harmless, playful chat between students. Most students loathed Payne, largely because he strictly upholds the rules. They don't realize the pressure on him to do his job, and that outside of work he's actually a great person. "No way," Lauren joked. "I would have thought he was just being friendly. But Jasmine? I would never have put those two together."
"Yeah, I mean, he really hasn't been very quiet about it. Logan brags about it all the time at the lounge," Allan added.
"Are you serious? And his wife doesn't know? Doesn't she work here too?" she asked.
"Well technically she works at the college, she just teaches some dual credit classes here..." Allan explained.

Also, as for the plot, that is, what will be happening during this period. For the most part I want to give you a chance to introduce your characters before all hell breaks loose. For day one, my plan is to have Oswald put a hit on Namwoo, essentially. Oswald is a very crooked man.
The Silenced Voice, is an online blog by an anonymous writer. On The Silenced Voice the author posts rumors spreading at Bailey High, some common knowledge, some extremely private, and some completely incriminating. Oswald's been at war with it for the past two years, figuratively speaking of course, and every time his tech guys manage to shut it down, it comes back up with just a slight change to the URL.
In order to find out who's getting all this outside information Oswald made a plan. Two suspect students, Namwoo and Akira were taken out of class for a meeting with the counselor that seemed normal, however, Mr. Payne, the Dean of Academics, and Mrs. Sullivan, the adviser for those students' underclassmen, having a private conversation about a false rumor in the same room, just loud enough for the students to hear. Mr. Payne could catch Namwoo working on her blog after the Silenced Voice updates with the false rumor.
Oswald's plan is to trap her in a fire. If her could get her alone in the advisor's room or the restroom and block off the door, he could have the room set on fire and make it look like an accident. The fire alarm would go off, but Oswald would make sure the alarms near Namwoo never sounded, and the students would exit thinking it's a drill. I'm thinking, perhaps, one or two of the boys (Jasper and Tristen seem like nice candidates) could notice that she never exited the building during the drill, even though the calculus teacher says his class is all present. They could run in and brave the flames to save her before the smoke gets to her.
Afterwards, since the damage was contained, students resume their regular schedule, of course, in different rooms. During the break the Newspaper Club could try to inspect the crime scene to find out who's responsible for the fire and possible attempted murder of Namwoo Kang. After that, Ms. Dunn will have a breakdown in psyche class and Caroline will be fawning over Luca during Studio Arts. You know, a normal day at Bailey High.

Classes
Feel free to pick whichever classes your character would take, but it helps to be in class with someone else so you have someone to roleplay with. Freshmen don’t usually share core classes with senior, so keep things like that in mind. Each character attends 3 periods a day and can have 1 study period. The roleplay will function based on these periods Period 1 (getting to school and the first class), break, period 2, lunch, period 3, and then home. You'll always be updated as for what day it is or what's going on in the roleplay if I can help it.
