The students began flooding.
"It's wonderful to see you all here on this starry evening!" she never had a way with words. "Now, today we are going to learn about the basics. We are going to start with the zodiac signs. It will take 4 classes to cover everything about the 12 signs, so pay attention. So, today we will be talking about Capricorn and Aquarius. Does anyone know the symbols for these two signs?"
Viveka Moon raised her hand.
"Yes Viveka?"
"The symbol for Capricorn is the goat and the symbol for Aquarius is The Water Bearer."
"Indeed it is Viveka! Here are some pictures to demonstrate. The one on the left is Capricorn and the one on the right is Aquarius."
"Now Capricorn runs from December 22 - January 19. This zodiac sign is related to the element of Earth and the ruling planet is Saturn. The Capricorns main goal is to be a person that everyone looks up to and who everyone wants to be. They are very intelligent and are usually very quiet."
Professor Fabula walked around the class playing with a small model of Saturn. "Can anyone tell me what the planet Saturn stands for? Yes Scarlet?"
The small brunette answered, "Saturn stands for achievement, hard work, and responsibility. Is it true that Capricorns are what some people call the Briefcase Parents?"
"Yes Scarlet, you are correct. And I guess that is another way to put it. They are very professional but they do care a lot about the people that are around them. As a friend, they can be the person that you go to to cry on the shoulders, and look to for support. They probably don't know what to say but they are there for you no matter what," the Professor sat on top of the desk, playing with the model still.
"One last thing about Capricorns. Their Sun sign is important to the people who are born on the first day (dec. 22) and the last day (jan. 19) because this is what we call a cusp. A cusp is when someone is born on these dates but they are considered full Capricorns, but since Dec. 22 is so close to another Zodiac sign, this person could have a tiny bit of Sagittarius in them."
"Now for Aquarius. Aquarius runs from January 20 - February 18. This zodiac sign is related to the element of Air and the ruling planet is Uranus. The Aquarius' main goal is to be different from everyone else. They want everything to be original and to their own taste. They are very inquisitive and curious, sometimes too curious. But they like to know everything."
Professor Fabula pointed to Ralphie, a small boy in the front, "You Sir, can you tell me what the planet Uranus stands for?"
The class tried to stifle their laughs.
"Will you guys be mature please?" Viveka asked.
"Yes, Uranus stands for being unique. It is what I like to call, the Rebel Planet."
"I like that," replied Professor Fabula. "Yes, that is correct! These people are very trendy and they are always making way for new things. A lot of people think them quite strange, but this is just how they were born."
Professor Fabula wrote on the chalk board, the homework assignment.
