Detailed

Rose has a finely petite body, her skin holding a creamy pale color. Her eyes are surrounded by thick, dark lashes giving her an almost haunting look to her smoothly kind face. As far as appearance goes, she looks fairly welcoming, yet also mysterious at the same time. Since she is a big person on exercise, she hold herself in an upright, proper, and sturdy way. For clothing, more then often times she wears mostly black.

Personality
| Sarcastic | Shy | Free Spirited | Caring | Brave |

Rose is portrayed as being incredibly stubborn and a little sarcastic, but is a very caring person, with lots of compassion for her friends and family. Her extreme stubbornness might have taken root because of the fact that her mother was extremely protective of her as a child, given that her father disappeared when she was three, or so she was told. She goes to extreme lengths to accomplish what she wants, usually putting herself in danger. Some would call this childish, but in all honestly that is her bravery shining through. She's not afraid of much, especially if its something to do with her loved ones. She will always, with no exceptions, but people before herself.

But by no means is Rosaria Sage perfect. She has her flaws like any other person on the face of this planet. Her stubborn streak, for one, can constitute as a major problem for a lot of people, especially those who are trying to keep her out of trouble. But also, Rose often worries herself over the smallest little things, making her worry needlessly sometimes about things that ought not to be worried about, and because of her nature, she often blames herself for being the source of other peoples' problems. Whenever someone won't tell her what's wrong, it's her default to assume that it was something that she's done, and she'll often attempt to make up for it no matter if it's her fault or not. She's also strongly independent, which while that might not be a flaw, she does turn it into a flaw sometimes when she convinces herself that she can do something on her own.

Underneath the echoes
Buried in the shadows
There you were

Drawn into your mystery
I was just beginning
To see your ghost
But you must know

I'll be here waiting
Hoping, praying that
This light will guide you home
When you're feeling lost I'll leave my love
Hidden in the sun
For when the darkness comes

Now the door is open
The world I knew is broken
There's no return
Now my heart is not scared
Just knowing that you're out there
Watching me
So believe

I'll be here waiting
Hoping, praying that
This light will guide you home
When you're feeling lost I'll leave my love
Hidden in the sun
For when the darkness comes

(Oh oh oh)
For when the darkness comes

Be here waiting
Hoping, praying that
This light will guide you home
When you're feeling lost I'll leave my love
Hidden in the sun
For when the darkness comes

Hidden in the sun
For when the darkness comes

Rose was focused on the lines. The perfectly unperfected lines of her sketch, the pencil strokes smudged just correctly. The stem of the flower she drew darker and harder, the petals of the rose softer looking, smooth. It had to be right, just right. Then a knock came at her door and Rosaria jumped, leading one of the lines astray. Letting out an upset huff of air, she called “Come in!” in which led her mother, Charlotte, to crack open her door and peek her head in. “Hey, What do you want for lunch?” Asked the petite woman who really did look an awful lot like Rose. Rosaria smiled and stood up, “Actually I’m going to go get Chris, going to a coffee shop.” She spoke, looking down at her phone, checking the time which read 1:15. Her eyes widened a bit and she began rushing around the room, shoving money and her sketch book in her bag, and then trying frantically to find her jacket. “What’s wrong?” Her mother laughed, now fully stepping into the room. Rose laughed triumphantly as she came across her black jacket under a pile of blankets on her floor, raising it up into the air with a small thrust, before slipping it on in which completed her outfit, and racing out of her room. “I was supposed to be at his place fifteen minutes ago.” She said to her mom, as she trailed after her to the front door of the tiny loft. Rose grabbed the keys off the small hook and put them into her bag, opening up the door. “Bye mom!” She said quickly, making it out the door. She just barley heard her mom yell back at her “Be home as quick as you can, ok?” In her always concerned voice.

Rushing down the small steps that led out the door of her two apartment complex, she opened the oak, stain glass windowed door and stepped onto the busy sidewalk of New York. Cars rushed by on the streets, many of them that awful yellow color that told her they where taxis. She began walking down the dirt covered cement crack sidewalks down a couple of blocks. Christopher, her best friend, really her only friend, lived only a few blocks down from her. Not a long walk, maybe fifteen or so minutes. Her mom would always try and convince her to take a taxi as she was always worried. Probably had to do with the fact she was a single parent, but whatever. Rose never wanted to pay that much money for a taxi, and would never let her mom pay either as it seemed ridiculous. She also didn’t have enough money to buy her own car; therefore, the only proper decision in her head was to walk.

The time was 1:30 before she finally arrived at her destination, Christopher’s building. Walking up to his doorway, she knocked three times, and waited. She learned that there was never a rush here for someone to answer the door, and would often hear grunts from the inside from one of the boys to the other saying, “You go get it.”, then the predictable retort, "No, you go get it." so on and so forth.

It was about two minutes before the door finally opened. “He’s in his room,” said Chris’ dad, stepping aside to let the familiar girl in. “Thanks.” She smiled, before making her way over to her friend’s open door. “Sorry I’m late, drawing.” She said, grabbing his wrist, and leading him out of his door. “Bye, Mr. Lahey!” She called over, as she gently pulled the boy out of his house. She heard a grunt of his father in good bye.

Letting go of his wrist, she lowered her speed to a walk, and turned around, walking backwards facing the taller boy as they made their way down the sidewalk. “Java Joes is ok, right?” Rose asked him, continuing her walk backwards, before bumping into someone. Turning around, she said kind of flustered to the unusual guy behind her “Oh, I’m sorry!” The turquoise haired, pierced guy just stared down at her, a furious look on his face. Rose felt way smaller under his gaze then she was. “God damn Sage’s. Always so easy to find.” He finally said through gritted teeth. Rose gave a small confused glance back at Chris. The man had just used her last name, in a way that seemed too familiar. “Let’s go.”She said firmly, circling around the guy, Chris behind her. It seemed like a pretty good idea just to ignore it and walk away, up until the odd man shoved her to the hard cement, causing her to smack her head. He then pulled out a strange looking knife. She was unsure though if it was just strange as her eye sight was a bit blurry. Pushing herself up to the best of her abilities, she stumbled a bit before moving back a bit, giving Chris a glance that to anyone would mean, “Hey you should get out of here. Like now.” The man grabbed her by the arm and shoved her towards him, holding the weapon at her neck, saying through the same gritted teeth, “You look a lot like your mom, kid.” Her eyes widened, and really at the point she didn’t give a single damn about the knife at her neck. “What about my mother?” She snapped, glaring at him.

The Lahey household was one like no other. Every morning at exactly five fifteen, the eldest son Michael would take out his trumpet and begin playing the national anthem. At six twenty-two, the second eldest, Thomas, would join his brother in the kitchen, fry up some bacon, and toss it outside for the stray neighborhood cats to enjoy. An hour would pass and the the family would go back to sleep, then at eight the youngest son would awake to another round of the national anthem being played, this time full blast on Michael's radio.
It was miracle no one in the building had filed a noise complaint yet.
The walls of the apartment were covered with pictures of Mr. Lahey's sons, close family members, distant relatives, or pictures of food that Thomas liked to put up mixed with the hand drawn portraits of cats that Michael had drawn when he was a toddler. The shelves in the living room were filled with old school textbooks that the boys kept forgetting to bring back, and then hidden under the couches was where all the movies were placed. The fridge in the kitchen never seemed to have a crumb of actual food in it, instead being stacked with soda cans, ketchup bottles, and an infinite amount of orange juice. On the eating table there was always at least one pizza box, and if not then it was safe to assume that the Lahey's had been too lazy to order dinner.
The only room in the apartment that didn't contain trinkets and nick-knacks was the youngest sons bedroom. Christopher, unlike his father and brothers, didn't see a need to have doodads to tinker with or gadgets to figure out how to break. Still, that didn't mean he didn't have collections of his own.

Christopher looked away from his newest Lincoln Log tower to glance at the clock. The numbers 1:15 flashed back at him in their dull red lights, the blinking getting slower with every second flash, then faster on the third.
Chris frowned. She should have been there already.
Rosaria, his best and most likely only friend who didn't secretly hate him, had said that she'd be over at his place at one. Fifteen minutes late wasn't bad, as Chris could rarely show up on time even for tests, but then five minutes ticked past... then five more.
1:25, then 1:28, Christopher wondered if Rose had been hit by a truck or something of the sort.
Even though the thought went through his mind, the boy didn't bother to get up and check.

It was around 1:30 when Michael and Thomas began calling to each other from down the hall.
"Reese's girlfriend's here!" Thomas yelled.
"Go and kiss her, Reese!" Michael laughed.
"Answer the damn door, either of you!" Their father snapped from the living room.
A small argument broke out, but the three of them must have decided who would answer the door, because no less than two minutes later Rose showed up in Chris' room and dragged him back outside.

They were on their usual way to Java Jones when the trip got too odd for Chris' liking. As if Rose getting the attention of some weird man wasn't bad enough, but the fact that he knew her last name and used it in a sentence such as that was enough to put Christopher off. Was she being stalked? Who else than a freak would say that?
Chris shot a cold glare at the man as he and Rose circled around him. Obviously he couldn't threaten the guy, knowing full well that he had about the strength of a toothpick, but just looking at him back Chris' stomach twist. Something was definitely off.
In a blink, the man was back in front of them again. He shoved Rose down, pulled out some sort of weapon, and brought it against her neck. Christopher, at this point not caring about Rose and the man's ongoing conversation and more concerned about her safety, decided that the best thing to do was throw a punch at the guy.
Wrong move. Definitely a wrong move.
His hand made contact with his head, but that was about it. In less than second the man had Christopher's wrist locked in his hand. "Nice try." He snarled, giving him a wicked grin.
Christopher inwardly panicked as the man brought his knife up. He had to do something... other than get himself stabbed.
"What the fuck do you want? Money? I have, like, twenty something bucks if you-" Chris began to say, but his words drained into a stutter and he shut himself up.
Christopher narrowed his eyes and with his free hand, pushed Rosaria backwards before swinging another punch at the man.
