Personality:
To describe Alma in a few words she is bubbily, friendly, loving, caring, funny, enjoyable to be around and at times a fierce person when it comes to things she believes in. She has her own way of doing things. She tries to be as friendly and kind as she possibly can due to the fact that she wants to make people feel equal. She wants people to feel good about themselves even if she dislikes them. She hates making people feel bad and will always be one of the first people to apologize if she thinks she has crossed a line. Sometimes she can apologize to much and she goes kind of hysterical after that. It takes her a few long breaths for her to calm down and to collect herself. After babblering on about how she was sorry she would often cover up what had just happened with some kind of joke that she can muster. She likes to see people smile which means that she will often crack jokes or make funny faces at other people just so she can hear them laugh or smile. She can not stand to see someone sad or lonely so usually she will go talk to them and try to cheer them up or give them some kind of company. She has a very soft heart, crying at the things that make her the most sad and trying to help everyone even if she shouldn't help them. She is fun to be around but don't mess with the people she loves. She is serious about them and what she believes in. She believes in that everyone should be treated equally and with respect even if they don't deserve it. Keep those nasty rude thought to yourself and to never speak your mind even if you really want to. If you put someone down she will end up explaining how you can't just simply go around saying rude things to people. It may not be in her nature to be mean or anything but when it comes to someone being mean to another all bets are off. She has a lot of opinions but often keeps them in because she doesn't want to hurt someone's feelings. She wants people to like her, she wants everyone to just get along and most of all she just wants to have fun.

Alma had been gazing up at the amazing ceiling which seemed beautiful when Edward Marcus Belcourt began to speak. Her full attention turned on him as she uneasily shifted from foot to foot. She disliked her heels, she preferred going barefoot even though her mother would always tell her that it was unladylike. She watched in admiration as the beautiful daughters of Edward were escorted by him. She sighed softly, as she messed with the dress she was wearing. She disliked this dress almost as much as she disliked being here. She saw no point in being here to be honest. It was not only a waste of time but she felt as if she was being forced into doing something that she didn't want to do. She moved away, her dress swishing a little with each step as she walked to try and disappear into the crowd. She wondered where her brother was because she needed to know how he was. There was a chance that her or her brother could be married off without wanting to soon enough and for now she just wanted to make sure that she could spend enough time with her brother just in case something happened.

Her wavy dark hair moved with each step and she hated that, she couldn't help but to brush her hair from her face and mess with it all the time. Finally she came to a stop near a pillar, grumbling something under her breath about how she hated her hair and how her dress was practically suffocating her. She glanced around at all the faces here in this huge place. It was really magnificent. What was she supposed to do now? All she could so was pretty much walk around mostly because she thought she was terrible at dancing. She may be very sociable but right now she didn't know what to do anymore. She wants everyone to get along but obviously that won't work out to well since the kids are getting force into marriage with people not only they barley know but also with someone they could potentially dislike.

Alma closed her eyes for a moment, thinking about it for a second as she tried to take in this fact. She could be getting married soon and she wouldn't really have a say in it. Might as well just get over it because there is no reason to keep getting upset about it. She took a step forward only to clumsily stumble forward, a blush spreading across her perfect cheeks. "Oops," She whispered to herself, cracking a smile for once even at this place. She hesitated then took another step forward and soon enough she was walking towards a chair somewhere so that she could sit down for a second before she went to go find someone to either talk to or to even find her brother if she could.

Callum didn't want to admit that the mansion was absolutely breathtaking, but he did.
It wasn't just the landscape or the design or the furnishing, and it wasn't how everyone seemed to fit in perfectly with the place even though they came from places far away from it.
No, Callum actually paid no attention to those things, but it was as if the mansion was just somehow beautiful in every possible way and there was no questioning it. It was just truly amazing with no imperfections.

Despite not paying attention, Callum was quite aware of the beauty even though he didn't care about his surroundings, he knew that everything around him was probably perfect looking, but it was surprisingly how little it mattered to him.
He didn't want to be there, to be honest. He would have preferred being able to stay at home and read a book or sleep or play a board game. To Callum, anything would have been better than attending the ball.
But did he complain? No. He knew better than to speak out against what his parents wanted for him. Besides, complaining would only lead to a silly argument, and arguments were one of the many things that Callum could not see himself having time for.
Why argue when you could avoid it?
However, before Callum had left with his parents and sister earlier that day, he had actually thought arguing. Why should they even go to the Belcourt's ball anyway? The other family clearly didn't like them, why did they even want them to go?
At first, when Callum had heard of the invitation, he had assumed that the Belcourt's were planning to humiliate his family in front of others, but then he had realized that the idea was ridiculous and he had quickly forgotten it.
He hadn't let the thought that they were planning something leave his head, though.
Callum frowned as he realized what he was thinking, perhaps he had read a few too many mystery novels...

Finally out of his thoughts, Callum noticed that he had missed Edward Belcourt's speech.
A shame, He thought, I wonder what he said...
Looking around, Callum also realized that he had no idea where his family wandered off to. He had lost them nearly the second he had stepped inside the building.
Callum sighed, it would be hard to find them now that they were out of sight, and with so many people... Callum froze. For the first time since he had arrived, he noticed just how many people were actually here.
Walking quickly yet trying not to draw attention to himself, Callum focused on searching for his older sister, Alma. Normally he'd call for her when he wanted to speak with her, but in such a crowded place Callum doubted that she'd be able to hear him over everyone else's chattering.
It was annoying, really.

After bumping into a few people who he preferred not to talk to and being scolded for being a tad bit too clumsy, Callum finally found the one person he was willing to speak with.
"Alma," He said, tapping her shoulder in order to get her attention, "Do you think father and mother would notice if I left?" He asked without sounding very serious.
A slight frown spread across Callum's face when the noise in the room suddenly seemed to be growing louder,
"Do you know where they are?"
