On the surface Kyle comes across as a laid back jovial young man who is also a womaniser. He is attractive and he knows it and uses his natural charm to get women. Surprisingly his many girlfriends all leave on good terms rather than resent him for staying with them only a short time, this is due to his likeability and his fun manner. He gets on with pretty much everyone and often plays peacemaker between others when their tempers get the better of them. He is also known for his welcoming manner, accepting everyone he meets as they are and he never judges them instead trying to see the good everyone. This has led to him being treated badly but this has not changed this naturally warm manner. He comes across as positive and cheerful most of them time and this makes people more relaxed around him and as is often the case makes more people drawn to him.
His good natured demeanour often means that others assume and take for granted that he feels nothing else but this is far from the truth, most humans are not one dimensional and Kyle is no different. One of his biggest flaws is his arrogance developed from being surrounded by wealth all of his life, he can often seem insensitive or selfish in his behaviour but this stems from his limited knowledge on how the other half live. He knows about poverty etc but cannot truly imagine it and as such he can act selfishly. He is also distant emotionally, he is popular and has lots of friends and girlfriends but none of them are allowed too close. History: Kyle was born to Jack Harrison an English billionaire and CEO of Harrison Global Group and Lucy Walker an American journalist who met when Lucy was in London covering a story. After a whirlwind romance they married and Lucy moved to England to live permanently. They had two children, Kyle their eldest and Sasha his younger sister. Kyle learned early that loving someone, like his mother did his father, only brought pain and from a young age began unconsciously emulating his fathers behaviour particularly towards relationships. It did not take long after marrying that Jack began his first affair and it was not his last by any means. His constant infidelity was known to his mother but she ignored it and tolerated it as she loved him and could not bear to lose him.
Kyle grew into a rebellious teenager resenting his mother for what he saw as her weakness in putting up with his fathers behaviour and resenting his father for causing her pain. For several of his school years he rebelled, skipping school, taking drugs and drinking too much and generally doing whatever he could to cause his parents pain and difficulty. When his mother was diagnosed with cancer his rebelliousness grew worse. It was only after one of his teachers saw a way to get through to him and introduced him to the swim team, Kyle discovered his love for the sport and realised he would have to change if he wanted to become good at it. He turned his life around and became if not a model student then at least one that acceptable.
After leaving school he has chosen to go to college making use of their excellent sports programme. His father does not approve of this and is continually trying to get his son to focus on the family business. He is constantly pressuring Kyle to give up his dream and begin working for the company even though it isn't what his son wants. His mother survived the cancer but the illness had taken its toll and she had lost some of her vibrancy and had become more fragile, she stopped defending her sons choices and began agreeing with her husband because it was easier. The whole family are currently on holiday in Maysville at his fathers insistence.
