Ezra Underhill

[A year earlierā€¦]

Ezra seemingly woke up laying at the altar of a quiet Catholic Church. He was laying next to someoneā€¦ another guy! Noā€¦ it was himself, but dead! Ezra shrieked in horror and crawled backward. He looked at himself down on the altar the back of his head bashed in. A bloodied statuette of the Virgin Mary lay on the floor beside him. Ezra was mortified. ā€œAm I dead? Iā€¦ Iā€¦ Iā€™m a bloody ghost!!ā€ Ezra screamed. He sat there screaming but no one came.

Finally the priest returned and found Ezraā€™s dead body but didnā€™t seem to see Ezra. The priest was horrified and ran to the telephone to call the police. Ezra followed the priest trying all he could to gain his attention however he was unseen and unheard. Ezra was indeed a spirit, a real ghost. Hours passed and the police came and went. His body was taken up and the church was cleaned. The news was massive about the tragic death of the famous young mystery novel writer.

Ezra returned home to his flat and sulked. It was paid off in full so he technically owned it. His publicist worked to manage the property so it would be unoccupied until he decided to sell or rent it out. It remained unrented for a year. Everyone that came by to view the property couldnā€™t help but feel a bad vibe there. Little did they know the ghost of Ezra Underhill was haunting the flat.

Choi, Jin-Sang

Jin-Sang was working the late shift in the hospital as usual. The trauma center was extremely busy that night. Jin-Sang saw to 3 emergency trauma patients and things went over alright. Finally break time came and Jin-sang took a trip to the vending machines. After buying a bottle of water he took a seat out in the hallway of a quieter wing of the hospital. As he leaned his head back against the wall and let out a sigh, he noticed something in his peripheral vision. It was a person staggering into one of the empty emergency rooms. Jin-sang narrowed his eyes in on the person and got up to investigate the strange visitor.

The man was seemingly young and looked to be on drugs. He shook and quivered. He went ravaging through the cabinets of the room grumbling to him-self. ā€œThey... gotta have it.. MANā€¦!! They gotta effinā€™ HAVE IT!!ā€ the man said in an anxious an jittery manner.

Jin-Sang entered the room with a polite smile and said, ā€œMay I help you sir?ā€ He was a little nervous once he saw the desperate young man up close. He has second thoughts. ā€œMaybe I shouldnā€™t have come in here alone, perhaps I should have called security first?ā€ Jin-Sang thought to him-self. The man looked up at Jin-Sang sharply like a wild animal. Jin-Sang took a step backwards in a bit of fear.

The young man approached Jin-Sang with a crazed look in his eyes. His breathing was heavily labored and his body shook all over. Jin-Sang began to be seriously afraid. Then the young man spoke again, ā€œI need help manā€¦ I, Iā€¦ ughā€ The young man whispered and then passed out onto the floor. He was dripping into a cold sweat and he seemed to be seizing. Jin-Sang checked the young manā€™s pulse and it was most non-existent. He turned towards the call button to get help. However the young man quickly sprung to life and attacked him. He was very strong and wild. He slammed Jin-Sang down onto the hospital bed and leapt on top of him. Jin-Sang struggled in vain. He screamed but it was cut short by a sharp and painful bite to the neck.

The attacker was a vampire. He sat up, blood dripping from his mouth, and apologized. ā€œIā€™m, Iā€™m so sorry manā€¦.!! I just canā€™t help it. I was so hungryā€¦ SO MUCH PAIN!!ā€ Jin-Sang groaned in pain. The vampire heard people walk past the room. It startled him and when the coast was clear he bolted. Jin-sang struggled weakly to get up and staggered over to grab a white towel to hold up to his neck. He reached into his pocket and slowly pulled out his cell phone.

ā€œSa-sa-kiā€¦ Iā€¦ Iā€¦ need youā€¦ something attacked me, and Iā€¦ canā€™t reportā€¦ thisā€¦ ahā€¦! Can you pleaseā€¦ come meet me?ā€ Jin-Sang whimpered over the phone to his boyfriend. He ended the phone call and after a few moments he patched his wound up enough to cover up what had happened and staggered out of the hospital. Luckily Jin-Sang lived only a block away from the hospital he worked at.

Okada Sasaki

Sasaki sat quietly at the Penumbra bar having a few drinks of blood. He wished Choi could be there with him. However Choi had no clue that Sasaki was a vampire and this atmosphere of the Penumbra would appear strange for anyone unfamiliar with vampires or hunters. He overheard some chattering from the hunters side. It appears someone was hurt nearby the bar. Sasaki wasnā€™t concerned much at all. ā€œKeep a low profile and you wonā€™t have much trouble.ā€ That was his motto. He of course sat on the Vampires side of the bar, not too far from three ladies carrying on in an interesting conversation. Two of them appeared to be related, one of which was human it seemed.

Sasaki didnā€™t intrude on the conversation he just kept to himself with his thoughts. He then received a phone call. ā€œHi Love! Howā€™s your shift?ā€ Sasaki answered in a chipper tone. He held his cell phone smiling as if in a daydream.

The response on the other end of the call was not so chipper, ā€œSa-sa-kiā€¦ Iā€¦ Iā€¦ need youā€¦ something attacked me, and Iā€¦ canā€™t reportā€¦ thisā€¦ ahā€¦! Can you pleaseā€¦ come meet me?ā€

Malice Whateley

ā€œBe ready to run when you do, your coven arenā€™t going to let him go easily.ā€ Malice answered bowing slightly, watching as the young witch ran off ahead of her. She waited until she had finished her cigarette to move in after Alcyone, it would do her no good to follow the witch in and get captured too. As soon as she saw Alcyone exit from the nearest cottage with another of the witches Malice began to creep towards the building, apparently they werenā€™t expecting any other visitors tonight.

Malice snuck in through the window, drawing her small pistol as she did so, just in case. The kitchen was empty other than a young cook who had her back to the vampire, she was singing quietly to herself whilst she washed up plates in the sink, evidently oblivious to Maliceā€™s entrance.

Continuing through the house Malice found the door linking the barn to the house and silently pushed the door open. The room was surprisingly well lit for a barn but that was probably for the witches convenience over Maccusā€™, following the shadows across the room Malice was confronted by the form of Maccusā€™ tied body, there was blood covering the majority of his extremities but no visible wounds now, good they hadnā€™t been in recently.

ā€œMaccus?ā€ Malice whispered quietly, testing whether her sire was awake. ā€˜Nothing, damnit!ā€™ Malice cursed to herself; quickly she began to cut the bonds across his wrists and hefted the old vampire onto her back. It had taken her some time to creep through the house due to the surprisingly old buildingā€™s creaky floorboards, the cook was no concern to her but everyone can scream.

Hefting Maccus onto her shoulder Malice headed towards the doorway, being sure to step quietly. Though this was apparently made useless when an ear splitting scream came from behind her, turning angrily she was confronted by the small cook a look of fear and panic across her pale skin. ā€œPlease donā€™t hurt me!ā€ the girl begged shielding her obviously crying face.

ā€œReally?ā€ Malice asked sarcastically, with one eyebrow raised. ā€œYou scream really loudly at the person obviously wanting to get away silently and THEN ask them not to hurt you? Urgh. Well Iā€™m busy at the moment so I suppose I wonā€™t.ā€ Turning her back to the now cowering girl Malice half ran out of the building, the witches would know she was here by now and the shouts of anger from one of the other cottages confirmed that fact.

Taking the quickest path she could Malice ran to the gate under which Alcyone was waiting for her arrival. ā€œHow was the reunion?ā€ She asked coldly, baiting the fires. ā€œFruitful I hope?ā€

Alcyone looked up sharply from her post as she heard heavy footsteps coming towards her. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw it was Malice.

ā€œHow was the reunion? Fruitful I hope?ā€ Alcyone screwed her nose up at Malice's harsh words. "Fuck off," she spat, colour rising in her cheeks. "She tried spinning me some bullshit story, I went along with it. Simple as."

She still couldn't believe the barefaced lies her grandmother told her so easily.

"And anyway, what was with the screaming girl? So much for stealth, a heard of elephants would have been more subtle than you were!" Alcyone shot at the red-head next to her, eyeing the battered man she had slung over her shoulders with concern. "Either way, it doesn't matter. We need to get back home before anyone else comes looking for us. Brace yourself and make sure you've got hold of him." she said, grabbing Malice's shoulder tightly before disappearing once more in a flash of blue light.
