Alright. Anyone who wants to dorm with Rayne, just say so. Her dorm room is located on the second floor, room number 207.

I'm going to take this opportunity to explain how the dorm numbering works as well. Alright, All dorms on the Ground floor are in the 100's. They range from 101-120. Dorm rooms 101-110 are girls dorms; rooms 111-120 are boys dorms. The second floor houses the dorms numbered in the 200's. The numbering follows the same pattern as the 100's (201-210, girls; 211-220 boys). Third floor- 300's, 301-310 girls; 311-320 boys.

Hunter walked towards the building at a fast pace wanting to get away from the bad weather, the cold air was cutting through his thin hoodie and he could smell rain in the air, one of the cooler things he'd observed about his new powers was that from time to time his animal senses and instincts came back to humanity with him. he got to the front of the building and hesitated wondering if he was supposed to knock or just let himself in, he decided on the ladder and let himself inside. he let out an audible sigh of relief feeling the warm hair hit him and took a few minutes to take in the room he was standing in breathing deeply taking the different scents in, enjoying the animal like nose while it lasted.

He glanced from one end of the room to the other speaking to himself out loud "wonder where i go now?" He shrugged hefting his bag farther up his shoulder.

Adrian had his earphones on, with his eyes closed. He was up on a tree, letting the wind blow through his hair. He opened his eyes and stared at the cloud, "Looks like it's going to rain.." he mumbled before jumping down the tree. Once he was on the ground, Adrian stretched and pulled his earphones off. He headed inside the building and decided to grab something to eat. He walked into the cafeteria and saw there wasnt much people there. Pulling off his hood, he got a plate of bacon and egg, and sat down. Adrian took a bite of the bacon, leaving the egg alone. He stared down at the plate of food, pushing the egg around with his fork. After a few more bites of the bacon, get got up, and headed out of the room. The school was rather quiet this morning. Probably because it was a saturday... or cause of the weather. Rubbing his eyes with one hand, he opened his dorm room with the other. He walked in to see his dorm mate waant there. Adrian shrugged, assuming he was at the library again and closed the door behind him.

"Yeah I remember" he said as he smiled

"Don't mind Rayne, she usually gets like that when she can't concentrate, Im guessing she was studying Math and Science, she hates those two" he said scratching his head. "Well I guess I'll see you around." he said as he walked away towards Rayne.

"I'm guessing your studying didn't go well" he said with a soft smile.

Kasey smiled, glad that Rayne was so nice. "Sure. I'll come go with you to our dorm. I have to grab my sweater, unless you want to walk with a dog." she laughed at her own joke knowing it was kinda lame. She smiled and explained that she could transform into animals.

"I think this is it." The cab driver spoke up, snapping Julianne out of her own thoughts as she sat up straight from her slouched position. Turning her head toward the glass, Juli stared out the window to what she hoped to find was your typical school, minus the school buses. But instead, her bright blue eyes were greeted with a large courtyard and driveway guarded with trees that she could only assume would eventually lead her to the Shadowmere Academy.

Being new was never fun for anyone, especially Juli, who usually had a hard time fitting in as it was. But after the faculty assured her that their would be others like her, she could only hope they were right. And what did she really have to lose, anyway? She lost her parents, friends, and had no where to stay. Shadowmere was her last hope.

After paying the cab driver the last of the cash she had, Juli grabbed her one bag and pulled the strap over her shoulder as she stepped outside and took a deep breath. The air was much cooler than the inside of that muggy cab, and almost with perfect timing, it began to rain. The drops were slow at first, but the faster the rain poured down, the faster Juli moved towarded the main entrance to the Academy. Soaking wet, and out of breath, Juli was greeted by a faculty member who was nice enough to show her in and take her to the second level to get settled into her new bedroom. The other side of the room was decorated nicely, and it seemed she'd have a roommate. Just wonderful. With nothing to decorate herself, Juli just threw down the one bag she owned to her bed and changed into some dry clothes.

After pulling her dark, wet hair up into a ponytail, Juli couldn't stand to be in an unfamiliar room for too long. She was given a list of books she needed, and the staff told her that if she needed a tour to just ask another student. Hah, easier said than done. When walking down the hall, even this early in the morning, everyone seemed to have someplace to go. And everyone knew each other. "Perfect." Juli mumbled to herself, looking down at the sheet of paper that she was given. Upon looking at her hand, Juli watched as her flesh began to disappear, and quickly she had to take in a deep, slow breath to gain her composure again. Invisibility was a common power that she possessed whenever she felt invisible. It was one of the few powers that she could take on, depending on her emotion at a given time. And after a few seconds, Juli pulled herself together again to get it to stop. Some days it was easier than others. And by some miracle, Juli managed to find the library.

Trying not to look lost, which may have been impossible, she wandered to the nearest rack of books, hoping to get lucky in her search for what she needed for classes. Or maybe those books were somewhere else? Unwilling to ask for help, the stubborn girl searched for her books on her own.

Alan had smiled politely at the guy "Names Alan, And I really cant stand people like that" he said indicating the man who had since pushed past him and walked down the hall and tripping over, Those with fast eyes might of seen the shadows rise from the floor to trip him.
As it was Alan had things to do and he was behind as it was before he had got himself worked up over the bully. Alan had noticed the guy pushing his head into a book, He knew that kid was said to have some sort of emotional power and so Alan a bit worried he had maybe contributed to whatever was happening walked towards him.

He was beaten though by the other kid and then Alan had to follow the kid as he ran off, He stepped around the bookshelf and noticed the kid there. Walking forward Alan sat down next to him and stretched out his hand towards the kid "Hi I'm Alan, You are?" he said in a friendly tone altough he was worried he would set the kid off again.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Alan .. I hope we will have some classes together this semester." he made eye contact with the boy and found himself not feeling any anxiety. He watched over his shoulder as Alan went to comfort another boy who was hiding behind a bookshelf. "Jeeze, what is it with this school, is everyone a bunch of martyrs here or what?" he thought to himself, glaring across the room at all the other students who were interacting. He swiftly left the library and was making his way down the hall, making sure not to come off as inconspicuous. He was searching for the bully who had knocked into him moments before ..

Aiden looked left, then looked right, he made his way down a couple more corridors until he heard footsteps coming from the next corridor. He stopped, placed his hands against the wall and turned his head subtly so as to not be noticed. He peered down the adjacent corridor and there was the bully, walking down the hall. "Blake..." Aiden said in a hushed tone to himself, remembering the oaf's name from overhearing his and Alan's little spat.

Aiden chose an opportune moment to pop out right in front of Blake, blocking his path. "Hey, nerd, get out of my wa- wait a minute .. aren't you that kid I just bumped into in the library..?"

"Be quiet." Aiden commanded, glaring straight into Blake's eyes. A sudden zapping sensation overcame Blake, who immediately donned an expressionless face and closed his mouth tightly. Aiden continued to peer into Blake's eyes, a sinister expression of pleasure noticeable on his face. "Punch yourself." he commanded again, and the bully loyally obeyed. He socked himself right in the stomach, and cringed in pain. Aiden smiled and tried to hold back a giggle. "Do it again!" once more he obeyed. Aiden was on the verge of hysterical laughter. He took a moment to compose himself, then looked around to make sure the corridor was entirely empty..

"From this point on, you will do anything I say. You will be my personal slave, got that?" he issued out the orders one after the other, and the bully continued to nod his head as he received each one. Aiden's expression changed from dire and serious, to light and joyful. "Great then, I'm glad we have an understanding!" he smiled. "Now carry these books back to my room, we have some homework to do."

Aiden nearly screamed as he was startled by a voice from behind.

"Yo Aiden, is that how they teach you to use your powers here at the academy?" he turned around to find Jason observing his actions.

"My gosh!!!! You scared the d-daylights out of me!!" Aiden was shaking nervously and his voice was very pitchy. "Y-you don't unders-stand.. I was merely t-trying to ..... he was, well ... I don't th- !"

"Just don't get caught doing it by one of the professors here on campus" Jason interrupted, smiling.

"It wasn't what it looks like ..!!" he called out desperately as Jason was walking away. Aiden's eyes quickly flared up with rage. "Look what you did, you dolt!" he snapped as he quickly smacked his Blake-bot across the head. "You almost got us figured out! You better be more subtle from here on, or else."

"Yes master."

Aiden guided his servant through the castle's maze of corridors up to his room. "Put the books down on that desk." he commanded, pointing to a small desk in front of the room's only window. The Blake-bot loyally obeyed. Aiden opened up to a particular page in his science text. "This is the page that needs to be done. All problems, 1-500, evens and odds... the odds are extra credit." Aiden smiled sinisterly. Just then, his door burst open; Aiden shrieked and jumped 5 feet in the air out of fright.

"hello? anyone in here?" Aiden turned around to see an unfamiliar kid.

"Yes, I'm in here !! What are you doing in my room??" he inquisitively raised his eyebrow and hoped the kid wouldn't notice the big bully hard at work behind him.

Juli remained silent so she could hear Cynoc explain, and her eyes widened when he openly told her what he could do. If some of his power was a secret, why the hell was he telling her, a stranger, of all people? They'd only just met! Every person that Juli had told of her powers either grew to hate, or fear her. So it definitely was going to be a new transition for her not only to get used to the fact that these other kids also had abilities, but letting them in on what she could do as well. She'd just gotten used to keeping them to herself and never trying to use them, and here she was, at a place that encouraged everyone to use their abilities. This was going to take some time.

And then there was the fact that this guy could not only sense emotions, but control them. Well, it scared the shit out of her.

"So you can...feel what I'm feeling, right now?" She questioned, crossing her arms defensively in front of her chest. She didn't think she could tell Cynoc of her power, she didn't trust him yet. If she told him of her most destructive abilities when at a certain emotional state, he could use that later against her. "Listen," she decided to bargain with him, "I promise I won't tell anyone that you can change emotions, if you swear on your life that you won't change mine. Ever." She gave him a serious stare, needing nothing more than him to just simply agree. Juli had been working so hard over the years to control what was inside her, almost to the point of where she felt...nothing. She was numb. And if he tried to change that now, or even mess with her feelings, things could turn out badly not just for her, but everyone here. "Someday you might think that you're helping, but you're not. I don't care what you do to anyone else, just please, don't get inside my head." She found herself almost pleading, and she had to look away when her throat started to crack a little.

After a long pause, letting silence fill the library again, Juli let out a deep breath. "So, how about that help with my books?" She brought up again, hoping to move on as she handed him her paper with the list of books she'd need for classes.

A young man raised his head to look at the castle before him, this place they called Shadowmere Academy. He was rather unkempt in appearance, but then his appearance had been rather sudden and odd. It was as if he'd fallen out of the sky, for he was merely there without warning. Shrugging his oversized jacket back into place, he began to walk towards the great building, whistling a tune as he went. For the most part, he ignored the goings on within the grounds as he headed for the doors, letter of acceptance in hand. But in one instance, a larger, bulkier boy decided to try his hand at bullying the smaller.

Dylan just grinned as the boy and his cronies strutted into view, obviously intent on smashing his face in. But as the blow came without warning, it merely bounced off, a full inch off of his skin. Then, he leaped impossibly high to sail overhead, evading the gang with contemptuous ease. Waving a farewell at the baffled tyrants, he spoke. "Pleased to get the traditional Shadowmere welcome, if you could call it that!"

And with a laugh, Dylan Hawk strode through the doors, humming as he took in the sights of the Main Hall.

Aiden stared blankly at the kid before him, waiting for a reply ...

".....Well, this is my friend Blake, we've been best friends since preschool and he is helping me with some of my studies. Feel free to make yourself at home, as I'm assuming this is your assigned dorm room... if not then I would appreciate it if you would leave." Aiden explained, before brushing past the kid and making his way through the castle's many corridors again. He made his way to one corridor specifically, noticeable by the large carriage wheel chandelier; there were a couple physics classrooms in here, as he remembered it. He looked around to make sure the hallway was empty; it was. He began walking slowly down hallway, pressed up against the wall. Each painting he passed, he felt over the title plaques underneath them and knocked slightly. "Where is it? It's around here somewhere.." he muttered to himself. "Ah hah.." he had found what he was looking for, a plaque with a hollow sound when he knocked on it. He pressed hard on the plaque and it depressed into the wall, opening up a small secret passage. He made his way inside and then turned a torch on the wall inside the dark, stone hallway he was now in, causing the passage to close up.

He made his way through the claustrophobic corridor. There was faint sounds of water dripping all around. Finally, he saw a light shining in from the wall. He made his way over to the window, which was actually a one-way viewing mirror in the hospital wing. He noticed two kids laying seemingly unconscious on adjacent beds. "Wow.. people are already getting themselves into trouble? How stupid can you be?" he exclaimed to himself, before noticing Mr. Drake exiting the wing after having said a few undeterminable words to the students. Aiden swiftly made his way to the end of the passage so he could intercept him.

He jumped out of the passage's other end, which was in the corridor right in front of the hospital wing. "Good day, Mr. Drake." he exclaimed, smiling brightly.

"Good day, Aiden. It's a pleasure to see you, it's been quite a while."

"That it has .. " Aiden replied, only half listening. "Hey, those two kids in there.. what's up with them?" he asked curiously.

"Oh, that's private business, I'm afraid. None of your concern, although I know you mean no harm in asking. It's just a school rule, my apologies.." Mr. Drake replied.

Aiden looked him straight in the eyes. "Tell me their powers."

The same glazed over look consumed Mr. Drake's face. "Fay has wings. She can fly, but she is still learning. Guire can manipulate electricity. He has yet to have mastered his powers." he explained in monotone.

"Hmm.. an electrokinetic huh? That could be useful..." Aiden pondered, rubbing his chin. "Leave." he demanded, and Mr. Drake swiftly made his way down the hallway, the zombie-like expression fading from his face after he got a certain distance away.

"W-what.. what just happened?" he asked himself before shaking his head and continuing on his way.

Kasey attempted to shape shift into a mouse to quickly get through the halls without anyone noticing her but she accidently changed into a cat. "Shoot, this is not what I planned. Maybe nobody will notice." she thought to herself, hoping. A quit look around and she ran to her dorm as fast as she could. Having cat speed made it a lot easier. She really has to work on learning how to control her power. When she got to her dorm, she changed back into her natural form, a human, and opened the door.

She breathed a sigh of relief and sat on her bed to do her homework before she fell behind. There seemed to be a lot going on between the rest of the people here. As curious as she is, she wasn't planning on getting into any trouble with other students. Especially since she was going to be with them for a while. At least she didn't have to try to hide her power here. She pushed all thoughts from her head and focused on her homework.

Kasey got up, opened the door to her dorm and went to find Rayne. When she found her, she seemed to be in an uneasy state. "Are you okay? What happened?" Kasey had no idea what was going on. Some of the other students seemed to be in the same kind of mood as Rayne.

#, as written by Cynoc
Cynoc started to wake up. His first warning sign was when he suddenly felt emotions from the outside trying to make their way in. As he did every morning when he woke up, he immediately slammed the block into place, and his eyes popped open.

The new girl was sitting there in front of him, leaning back away from him. She looked a little shocked, and uncertain. He wasn't sure what she had tried to do, but whatever it was was apparently done now. He seemingly hadn't been out long, so maybe it had worked. He suddenly realized he wasn't hurt anymore, anywhere. He felt really good actually, enough to even smile for real. Now THAT was rare, extremely rare. His eyes flicked down to his leg, it looked normal, and it felt fine. He turned his eyes and smile back to the new girl.

"Thank you. I don't know what you did, or why you did it when I did exactly what you told me not to, but thank you. Allow me to return the favor." His eyes began to shake slightly again as vibrant blue eyes locked with less sad eyes. The relief, the happiness he felt right now he pushed onto her, pushing the pain all the way back to the back. It did weaken him a little, but it was the least he could do.

He became aware of the fact that somebody was behind him, holding him. He turned and ducked his head a little, looking up. Rayne's pretty face stared down at him. Had he let his power go, he could tell what she was feeling or thinking, but with their faces this close, he couldn't even begin to think what she was thinking. Then it hit him. She was holding him in her lap, touching him. That would mean she had his power. That would mean as embarrassed as he felt right now, she would be knowing. He felt his face flush red, and he tried to pull away from her quickly, but he was still a little weak from pushing emotions again and he barely flinched.

"R-really, I'm fine now. Don't worry about me." he said quietly, diverting his eyes.

Rayne gave a sigh of relief as Cynoc's eyes opened up. She really hadn't thought the other girl would do anything to harm him, but the notion had been strong in the back of her mind. Even through the barrier she'd put up to block the borrowed power, she could still sense the vague shiftings of Cynoc and the other girl's emotions. It kind of reminded her of the way movement and changes in light could still be percieved even if you kept your eyes closed.

Cynoc looked up at her, and even without the vague help of 'her' power, she could tell he was embarrassed. She moved her hands, lowering them to her sides. She could see the intuition flicker in his eyes, and she smiled. "That's quite a power." She commented vaguely, her eyes lifting to the other girl. "I'm Rayne, by the way. I don't know what you did, but I'm glad you did it."

Lifting Cynoc's head, she moved it off of her lap. He seemed uncomfortable with her touching him. She could understand why. She herself felt weird being in contact with another person when she usually tried so hard to keep her distance. And she understood why he might not want her touching him. It was well known that Rayne's power was the power to mimic others. Her nicknames on campus included "Copy cat" and "Mimic". She was unable to do anything herself. It often depressed Rayne, and she felt like she would always only be known for following or copying others. She could only do things that others had done first. It was no way to live.

She was not allowed to rest in her reverie for long. The pushing, jostling emotions of others would not be ignored. She could feel a headache coming on, and she lifted her hands to her temples, rubbing them gently. "How do you deal with this?" Sympathy colored her tone.

"Aiden!!"

Aiden screamed and jumped, finding himself being jerked around and facing Jason.

"I really don't mind you using your powers on the students around here, but I wont tolerate you using it on the teachers." Jason explained. "Never again must you do that!"

Aiden felt a strong zing flow instantly through his body, his brain eager to obey the demand. Jason walked off into the hospital wing, violently closing the doors behind him with his telekinesis.

Aiden was still trying to catch his breath from the fright Jason had caused him. "One of these days, that kid is going to give me a heart attack ....." He lightly patted his chest. He proceeded out to the courtyard. He passed a scene of kids sitting over another kid who was laying on the ground. "Wonder what that's all about." he thought to himself. "Probably another stupid kid committing suicide or something." he continued through the gardens until he got to an elaborate fountain depicting a mermaid spitting water in the center of a bunch of flowers. He stood up next to the mermaid's mouth and reached inside, feeling around. "Where the heck did I put it ...... ah, there it is." he pulled out a small, strange battery-looking device. He looked at it for a moment, holding it up to the light of the gray, rainy sky, before making his way back to his room.

"Ugh, I hate rain ..." he said as he entered his room, sopping wet. "Are you almost done with my homework?" he asked Blake.

"Just a few more problems to go, master!"

Aiden lifted up his mattress, producing a key, and bringing it over to a small safe he kept under his computer desk. He unlocked the safe, pulling out a pair of odd looking glasses, with some strange contraptions attached to them. He plugged the small battery device into a compartment on the back of the glasses.

"Now, all I have to do is find a way to harness that electrokinetic kid's power ......" he smiled deviously.
