Luke Sonique

The son of a pop-singer. Has the voice of an angel.

0 · 1,024 views · located in Mistviel City

a character in “Shadows in the Mist”, as played by SugarNspikeS

Description

Image Image
Name: Luke Sonique

Age: 16

Nicknames: The Velvet Voice, Sweet Talker, The Golden Tongue

Appearance: Luke comes off as a bit of a hipster by the way he dresses. His red hair, emerald-green eyes and pale skin make it easy to spot him in a crowd. He often wears glasses, but only for the sake of fashion. He’s about 5’10”, 160 lbs , and has a very toned physique under the baggy clothes.

Species: Banshee/Siren

Magic/Powers/Special Abilities: His species gives him the unique ability to entrance and hypnotize people with his singing if he so chooses, and on the other side of the spectrum he can also create sonic blasts that can cause incredible damage. In addition to this, Luke has been studying a number of fighting styles, but has nearly mastered the martial art of Fridgitsu, a ninja style with focus on ice-based magic. Seems to have an almost supernatural amount of luck.

Notable Traits: His biology makes him immune to nearly all sonic based attacks. The training he’s had in Fridgitsu allows him to thrive in sub-zero temperatures if needed. Luke is a rarity as males of the Banshee/Siren race almost never have the vocal powers, certainly not as powerful as Luke’s.
History: Luke has no idea who his father is, he ran off while his mother was still pregnant with him. His mother is a banshee/siren who is a pop singer, but he usually doesn’t tell anyone who she is because he doesn’t want to live in her shadow. Most of his species view him as a freak for having powers at all, let alone the level of power that he has. He transferred to this academy to get away from his own people and get a better education than he would in his home land.
Notable Equipment: A sapphire charm on a necklace that focuses his Ice-magic abilities.
Mentality: Luke is usually pretty quiet and reserved, but sometimes comes off as stuck-up. He is pretty friendly after you get to know him, but he is definitely an introvert.
Fears: Not a fan of gnomes or leprechauns.

“Well, it’s the truth.” Abigail said, not realizing until now that she had actually just suck up for Zuuka. As he went to ask about Alison, Abigail realized she hadn’t introduced her, kind of let her out of the conversation too. Zuuka was cut off by a bell ringing and took off towards the hall where everyone else was gathering. Abigail turned to Alison, “Well we better get going. I in-particular don’t want to find out the punishments of being late.” Abigail said with a straight face. She looked around and analyzed the situation, at this point with the number of people going in, running off like Zuuka would have wouldn’t have changed much of what time they would show up, maybe gaining one or two minutes. So even if they walked, they would still make it on time.

Abigail turned to Alison when she talked about the doll she had offered. Abigail just stared for a second, she didn’t really get that many gifts through her life. Her father would argue her cybernetics are a gift to their own, along with the lessons he has taught her. “Yes, thank you Alison.” Abigail said as she gently took the doll, feeling the soft hair. It may have looked like didn’t care but that moment just meant a lot to Abigail. She looked back up and nodded in the direction that Zuuka ran in and started walking, making sure Alison was still walking with her.

As the two girls made it into the hall, it felt as if it had expanded in size. The last time Abigail had seen a room this big was at an award ceremony for her father in front of a large group of other officers and soldiers. With getting distracted with the room, some people got in front of Abigail, between her and Alison, but wasn’t too worried. When they started filling in, she was heading towards where Zuuka was, seeing two empty seats. Perfect, won’t have to fuss over seats. she thought to herself, but after Alison sat on one side, another male quickly sat down where Abigail was about sit

Abigail was kind of shocked and surprised, the kid had just about come out of nowhere. “No worries, I’ll find another seat.” Abigail said outloud, giving a professional smile towards Alison and Zuuka, not wanting to start a fuss so early on. She then turned around and found an empty space and leaned against a wall alone. The spot she found gave her a nice view of most, if not all, of the central hall. ”Always know where you are and your surroundings." She remembered her father telling her during a lesson. He never liked not being to see around him, or not facing a clear exit or entrance, paranoid a little.

"Hurry up, Mom, I'm gonna be late on my first day." Luke spoke to his mother as she did her best to maneuver through traffic. She was still groggy and barely able to focus on driving.

"This wouldn't have happened if you had just taken the limo like I told you too." She said with a bit of smugness to her voice.

"I love you Mom, but I don't want everyone to know that my mother is the famous Jena Sonique, I want to have a normal school experience."

"And the students seeing me drop you off isn't going to give away who your mother is?"

"Did you look in the mirror this morning? You have no make-up on, I barely recognize you." Luke laughed.

She pulled up to the school just as the bell rang to go to the entrance ceremony. He gave his mom a kiss and ran out to follow the other students. He didn't know anyone here, but he had looked over his schedule and a map of the school before he got here so he knew roughly where he was going. He got to the ceremony seating area and saw a few empty seats. He went to go sit down just as boy with unique looking hair sat down in the center. Luke sat next to him and another girl sat on the other side. He heard someone else say something about getting another seat and he hoped that there wassn't assigned seating that he didn't know about. He looked up to see a blonde girl with cybernetic implants walking away.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were going to sit here." He said, but she didn't seem to hear him over the ambient commotion from everyone else in the room. She didn't seem to be mad, though, so he didn't think much about it. He waited for the ceremony to start, and let his emerald eyes scan the room to get an idea of the kind of people who went here. It looked like the kind of place where he could go unnoticed for his mother and that was exactly what he wanted.

As the seats next to him also got quickly occupied, and not only that, but the only person he knew fairly well ended up going elsewhere because another boy with red hair ended up taking the seat first, he couldn't help but notice that with all the other people, it was quite crowded. No, that was not the real issue. He had been to parties before, he had stood beside his father as he spoke to crowds.

However, although he wanted to be his own person, prove himself, and be seen as Zuuka and not just his father's son, he was now facing his first challenge. And a rather cute one as far as others would be concerned. Well, as he waved goodbye to Abigail for now, he turned to respond to Alison.

"Nice to meet you, Allison. And yeah...she is really nice" he managed to say. However, he looked a bit nervous and flustered, no it was more then a bit...after all, he was raised away from other people. His interactions with people were limited in number to those of his father, and the people his father trusted, or at formal gatherings. Otherwise, because there was a fear of him being targeted, he had not interacted much with people. Even though in fighting, he was extremely well trained, and he had been taught to be able to put on a mask for business and hide his expressions and feelings, in this natural setting it was pretty clear...

He really was someone who had no experience in dealing with people naturally, and was a bit awkward and therefore shy. He ended up looking down, because it was pretty clear he wasn't good.

"S...sorry. It's just, because of my situation, I don't have much experience with people. Being the son of my father, the CEO of the Blacklight does have its disadvantages....anyways, nice to meet you. Errr....what is that saying my father taught me...right, if we see each other or have the same classes, please take care of me".

After that, the principle got up onto a balcony that overlooked the hall and began to speak. As one might expect, it was an extremely long and fairly boring opening speech for the new year. However, there was something that was added that seemed abnormal and attention absorbing.

"Also, again please be careful. There are still the strange and unusual incidents that have yet to be resolved. Although I am sure a number of our students are quite careful, there are plenty of strange incidents and abnormalities aside from the unsolved crimes that have yet to be explained. Please do be careful, and please please do not go looking for trouble!"

Well, that was a flag raiser right there...wait...isnt this line of thinking usually a flag for a protagonist that ends up getting into a lot of trouble? Well, no...this is real life, it should be fine. Hopefully....I probably already will have trouble dealing with people anyways...right! This experience will help me get over that though!

After that, it was announced that food would be served for lunch in the dining hall. After looking over to Abigail and asking/pleading with his eyes, he turned to Alison. "Want to get some lunch?"

And then, he also remembered the boy sitting on his other side and panicked a bit.

"O-oh! I didn't mean it like we were excluding you or angry at you though! If you want, you can join us for lunch too! Uhh, my name is Zuuka. Zuuka Blacklight. Nice to make your acquaintance..."

His inexpererience, innocence, and awkwardness could practically be heard in his voice. He sort of wished he could show off his combat skills, or his tech skills, right now. At least those he had confidence in, unlike dealing with people.

Abigail was able to listen and pay attention to whole speech. Use to following her father around and listening to many people give many speeches. Unusual events? Is that what father was talking about Abigail thought to herself as the speech ended. She looked around for an exit, but then realized Zuuka was looking at her. He probably wants us to stay together Abigail wasn’t good at reading faces or looks, being so use to military bearing being all around her.

After weaving around people effortlessly like water through rocks, Abigail caught up with Zuuka and Alison. “Really good speech he gave. I think that it is great there is a dueling concept between people. Reminds me of what my father’s soldiers were do.” Abigail commented, then noticing the boy from before was still with them. “Hello sir, I don’t think I caught your name.” She said to him reaching her hand out for a handshake.

Turning back to the other two. “May I suggest getting some food?” Abigail asked, she wasn’t in earshot when Zuuka had asked before. As the group decided where to go, Abigail stayed in the back of the group this time, messaging on her holo to her father. The son of Mr. Blacklight is here father. I know you were talking about him before I left and thought you should know. she sent to her father and then readjusting some settings in her cybernetics. Looking back up occasionally to make sure she was still with the group and not walking into anyone or anything.

As seats were getting filled up and the start of the ceremony at hand, Zuuka replied to her previous response to which she smiled warmly. "No need to apologize. I can't quite understand how it is to have certain expectations on your shoulder. But some people say manners make the person. Of course a nice balance of professionalism and casual meetings help balance things out. I don't mind that your the son of a famous owner of a famous corporation, however treating you like some sort of god because your famous seems counter productive. We are all flesh and blood in the end, status does not make us any different. So as such Ill treat you with respect like a normal person as long as you do the same for me." She replied holding her hands together as the principal got on stage.

Alison had one last thing to say to Zuuka before it started. "I'll be glad to help you out when you need it." She smiled before turning her attention to the principal. It was a long speech for the new year at the academy, of course she listened quietly with full attention. However as he went on with something unexpected this really got her attention, it was about a warning to be careful. It was about some unnatural and unsolved incidents that happened and that they should stay safe and not go looking for trouble.

Now this was certainly catching, there was a danger going on. She hoped it was not as bad as it sounded, it could either be people got hurt or even worse...But one thing was for certain, she was no trouble seeker. She had something that only she could do, and she rather not risk herself out of curiosity. She just hoped trouble did not find her however.

Once that was done, they announced lunch would be served meaning that they were possibly at the end of his speech. Zuuka turned to face her and asked her is she wanted to have some lunch together. Of course she gave a nod. "Sure, I would love to join for lunch. And I'm certain you will be asking Abigail if she wants to join us as well. All of us can chat together and have a nice time so of course I'll join." She smiled as his attention changed from her to the boy sitting next to him. From what she heard, he also invited him to lunch as well. A bigger crowd. Things may be looking up for now.

Luke barely listened to the speech, it was boring until the headmaster said something about unsolved crimes that were yet to be explained. It almost sounded like the he was begging for the students to go looking into it. He took note of it, then pushed it to the back of his mind. After the ceremony was out of the way he was about to go check out the campus when the boy next to him had mentioned food and then suddenly invited him to come along.

"It's okay, I didn't really think you were angry at me. You just didn't know me, so I didn't expect you to even talk to me let alone invite me to lunch. I'm a bit socially awkward too, so no need to worry about it. My name's Luke, nice to meet you Zuuka." He smiled and shook the boy's hand.

He didn't give his last name as he didn't want to come off as one of those famous kids that got by on fame.

"Lunch sounds like a great idea." He said as they met the other girl who had gone to stand by the wall. "Sorry about earlier, I didn't know you wanted that seat." He said once more now that she could hear him. As they walked to where ever it was that they were going, (he wasn't even sure if any of them was leading or if they all were just wondering together) Luke noticed the cyborg girl tapping something on a holo but he wasn't able to see what was being written. He figured she was just letting her parents know how school was going so far.

"So where exactly are we going? I know there's a food court here somewhere with a ton of different places to eat." He suggested as he took out his school map to double check where they were and how close the food court was.

"Well, everything should be okay now. So lets just all be friendly....ahh, by the way, feel free to call me Zuu. Thats what most of the people that are close to me call me" he said as he led them towards the direction of the food. At least, he was pretty sure it was the right direction. Food was announced, and other people were heading there. He also then responded to something Alison said.

"Well, its true there is that. But there will also be people who come after me because of that too. Because I have money and they dont, because I grew up with what they call everything and they didn't. Because of the name Blacklight, people whether they have a just reason or not will blame me for things...some of it...well, lets just stay positive for now! Although, I have heard that new students, regardless of who or what they are, tend to be the victims of "Freshmen pranks". I hear they can be quite bad. Anything from putting hair dye in shampoo, to altering soap to make it change skin color, to stealing someone's clothes while they are in the showers and baths and making them walk back to their room butt naked, to annoucning someone's crush publicly across the school, to all sorts of things. We should probably be careful, being new here we will almost certainly be targeted.

Zuuka seemed fairly nervous and shy though, leading a group of people he just met around a building he had no idea how to get around. The building half felt like a maze, and the further they went in the more people disappeared. Zuuka began to panic a little if he was heading the right way.

Eventually, he made his way into a courtyard. It seemed that there were some food places that sold food along the walls, and the courtyard while completely walled off had no roof and so sun was able to flow in. There was a large fountain in the center, and trees and grass with pathways and paved areas put in the middle. There were also benches and tables to sit and eat on.

Zuuka himself got amazed and wandered a bit ahead....but then suddenly a larger, older student then him pushed him right into the fountain. As he got all wet, he felt his shoes and socks yanked off as the older student and a few others looked at them.

"Well well, so this is what the super rich can buy with the money they hoard for themselves huh? What are these, five hundred dollar shoes? One thousand dollar socks? They sure dont seem normal. Amazing how much money the rich will waste on themselves. The Blacklight Organization sure does make a lot of money huh, enough to spend things pointlessly like this. I wonder, how much money are you wearing right now".

Unlike the students before, who were probably people who got hurt by weapons made and sold by the Blacklight Organization, these people were those who apparently were jealous of the money they made and invited by greed. Well, in truth there were a lot of people who thought the people who made guns and sold them were the source of many problems for producing such dangerous weapons, and there were also a lot of people who not only wanted the money of the rich, but wanted to seriously take down the people who were rich through embarrassment and such to make themselves feel equal to such people, or just because they liked the idea.

Zuuka tried to get out of the fountain himself, and would accept any help offered if someone wanted to. But before Zuuka could try to get his shoes and socks back, a strange atmosphere engulfed the area which made all of the bullies stop and drop Zuuka's belongings as they began to back away. Another boy that seemed to be eminating the atmosphere approached out from a different direction, and Zuuka felt like compared to the others, he was far more dangerous.

"You are Zuuka Blacklight right? Son of the Blacklight Corporation".

"Y..yeah? Listen, could we please do this later? I really want to eat with my new friends, and I dont feel like fighting..."

"Too bad. I wont let you escape my grudge so easily".

At this point, Zuuka was fairly upset. Not to mention he was now soaking wet

"Listen! I am really tired of being held responsible for my fathers Corporation! So please..."

"This has nothing to do with your father's corporation! This has to do with you, and your selfish desire! About what happened at Celstus, about how everyone, including my uncle, died because you wanted a weapon made for you so you could convince your father to let you go out on your own, even though you were told that dangerous thing would be used as a base! Because of you, countless people died! If it was only that though, I might leave it alone as your mistake but...I saw it! This morning, before the speech...when you faced off against Gorda, even after what happened you still have it! You still are using the Aegis System! YOu don't feel any guilt at all! So, I challenge you do a duel!"

The surroundings echoed with his voice. Zuuka himself could clearly be seen in a state of shock and fear, and had a strong reaction to what was said. Celstus. It was said to be a small town that had been flourishing thanks to the Blacklight Corporation. It was also said that about a year ago, some horrible incident happened and countless people wound up dead. Blacklight apparently came in, helped rebuild, and also donated huge money to the families of the victims but...this Aegis System was never mentioned in them.

But it was mentioned once, by Zuuka, this morning. He nearly activated it when he got upset against Gorda...

It seemed that this cute, innocent, kindhearted Zuuka also had secrets. He was the youngest out of all of them, but inside his fear...there was a determination building.

A need to prove himself even more now.

That was also true, as they walked Zuuka explained that because he was from a higher class there would be people jealous of the money he had. It was one thing to be envious around people, but to anger the wrath of people because you had money was another thing. Still, they should indeed move onto brighter topics...

At least...That's what they were going to do until she witnessed the boy get shoved from behind by a larger student. When he said that some people get 'freshman pranked'...He was not probably mentioning getting attacked out of nowhere. From what the older student said, it looked like he was just bullying him because he was rich...Speak of the devil as they say. He talked about that not even a minute ago and after taking a nice walk through the campus to head to the lunch hall here they were with a small gang of bullies. Their first day and already some major trouble...

Of course most of the bullies stopped with a change in atmosphere...All except one. One who seemed to hold a personal grudge against him. From a supposed incident that happened involving Zuuka and some others. His uncle seemed to be part of it. It was a tragic fate indeed, and it seemed that he wanted a fight.

Of course, she was not going to stand idly by. Who knows how out of control this could get. She had no doubt Abigail could handle this, but right now they should solve this without the need for anyone resorting to violence. Probaly no time to run and find a staff member either...So with that she decided to put herself at risk and got between the two.

"I'm terribly sorry, but may I recommend both of you backing away please?...It would be bad to already start trouble on our first day. You both have your own goals, and starting a fight here would benefit you none at all sir. Losing family is hard, however if you just fight here and now all that will happen would tarnish your own name. Or worse, you could go to prison for assault. Don't ruin your future yet, we can solve this without violence." She asked calmly putting her hands together...

She was in a dangerous situation and she knew, she hoped it could be resolved easily. Else she would end up getting hurt...This was a gamble she was taking of course.

By the time Abigail was done optimizing her arm, she noticed some guys bullying Zuuka around. At first, she dismissed it, she was use to the whole hazing thing. It would happen to every new recruit under her father’s command; from head shaving to throwing their entire bed with them sleeping in into a like to wake them up. But she quickly realized it was turning more into bullying, the leader of the group had said something about how he was responsible for something in a village, something she remember her father talking about. Aegis? He has it? Bu- Her thoughts were broken when the bully continued and challenge to a duel. “Oh, a duel.” Abigail said out loud. Soldiers would spar against each other to blow off steam, so this didn’t seem that abnormal to Abigail, she wasn’t that much against it, but she knew with anger it could get out of hand, she would have to keep an eye on it.

Before anything could get started, Alison stepped between them trying to defuse the situation. “Alison
” Abigail said under her breath. She applauded her courage; this male was even taller than Abigail. But if there was as scuffle, unless Alison had some sort super strength, Abigail was pretty sure she would get roughed up. Plus Zuuka had just been challenge to a duel. She walked up beside Alison and put a hand on her shoulder. “Alison, Zuuka was challenged to a duel. You heard the head master talk about this, it’s not assault, its normal here.” She said in quiet almost whisper voice. Abigail obviously didn’t want anyone to hurt and would step in if things got too out of control, but dueling was part of the school, tradition, rules; much like the military was.

Abigail stepped back, hoping Alison would follow. She knew Zuuka could defend himself, but wanted to see what all he could do, take notes. Same with this fellow who challenged Zuuka. But before anything else could happen Luke walked up to the commotion, Abigail was curious about what he was about to do. She heard his soft voice telling the male that he didn’t want to do this, and to walk away, and he actually did, walking away a little dazed. She was shocked, So this is what he could do
Noted. Need to make sure I have some sort of sound protection. she thought to herself. Always know the strengths of those around you, including friends. Because you never know when friends become enemies Abigail remembered very clearly a lesson from her father, very similar to keep your friends close but enemies closer.

After watching the bully and his group walk away, things started going back to normal around the courtyard. Abigail looked back at Zuuka seeing him still shock, but knew he would snap out of it, and looked at Luka. “So
I’ve read about that before. The voice of banshees and sirens. Prominent in mostly females. You’re lucky to have such a power.” She said to said to him. Abigail felt a little disappointed in them, stepping into Zuuka’s fight, not really giving him a chance. Also different thoughts flooded her mind. Aegis system, she only knows snippets of information from her father, she took a quick glance at Zuuka. Would Mr. Blacklight allow his son that much power? She asked herself internally.

(Out of order, before last post)

Luke followed along with the others until they went through the courtyard. He saw that Zuuka was distracted and by the fountain before being pushed in. The scene played out like something out of a high school drama on TV. He knew how these things usually played out and he knew that right now was not the time nor place for a duel. On top of all that he was still really hungry and preferred not to waste anymore time dealing with bullies than he needed to.

Luke watched as Alison stepped between the two. She was putting herself in danger, but she had the right idea, they shouldn't be fighting. Now was the time for Luke to shine. He walked up next to Alison between the two who wanted to duel.

"You don't want to do this." He spoke. It was all he needed to say as he was using his Siren powers. He was able to convince the bully that he didn't want to duel by merely speaking the words. It was a simple demonstration of his power, but an effective one, unless the bully were to have some sort of protection against such power. However, it wasn't likely.

"You don't want to do this, you want to walk away and forget you saw Zuuka." He repeated. The hypnotic tone in his voice was like the sound of an angel singing, but it only seemed to effect the bully. To anyone else it would only sound like an almost synthesized voice, but smoother and clearer sounding.

It seemed that the others did not want him to duel, well at least two of them didn't. Abigail seemed to want to see him fight, but that made sense. To be honest, part of Zuuka wanted to fight, he wanted to do something he was confident in and show off. He wanted to prove himself. Of course, with friends you dont need to prove yourself, but Zuuka lacked the ability to have that common sense. He was bad at socializing, after all.

"Umm. Thanks Abigail. I probably could have taken that guy" he said as he watched the man be manipulated away by the male siren. "But, I don't think now was a good time for that duel anyways. In that situation, if I had fought him and won, then it would have only been used against me. At least, I don't really know people that well, but I think that if I had fought him it would have been bad".

As Zuuka said that, he did feel bad for everyone sticking up for him...especially given what this was about...and that they didn't even know what this was about. He also though Abigail might be interested in it, and she was the one he knew best and was basically his best friend. Or at least, she was the one he knew best.

"Well, I feel bad now...you all stuck up for me, but you don't even know what it is....I suppose I should show you at least..." he said, as he also finally got out of the fountain. He had taken so long because while they stuck up for him, not a single person bothered to help him get out of the water, so he was extremely soaked. He did put his shoes and socks back on though, since his feet never got wet, but otherwise he was still soaking wet. "Aegis, activate. Low power mode".

Suddenly, several strange cubes appeared around him, floating and rotating around him. They seemed to move when he moved, and when he extended his hands towards them, and swiped the air, the cube spun around him. He then extended his other arm when a specific cube came in front of him, and moved them in opposite directions which caused the cube to increase in size. After that, it seemed to give off a small, peaceful hum, and he then reached inside of it! Wasn't this supposed to be a weapon?!

He took out a warm towel after that, and put it on his head. "Its true....this is something that I asked for, that I...helped design...and what happened with it...sorry, I am not very good...at this....can we, get some food?"

Of course, this was coming from the person who was still entirely soaked in water. Likely, someone should probably help with that....

Meanwhile, there was a balcony overlooking the courtyard they were in. There were two twins, with reddish brown hair and blue eyes. They were watching the scene unfold below, Yuna was particularly interested as he leaned against the balcony with his arm and pulled his brother in closer to him.

"These people seem weird but....it looks like there are quite a few interesting people among them".

Yuna said those words as he observed everything that happened. The man, who were surrounded by spirits of rage, and the four others. Two boys, and two girls. Spirits were everywhere, and sometimes spirits collected around certain people. The twins had the ability to see and communicate with spirits, being Wood Elves. With that, he could not help but get interested in something.

"That boy...Zuuka is it. Its almost like the spirits are ignoring him...and the other three. Spirits of sound float around the other boy. And the spirits seem....afraid of that girl. Could she be military? Spirits usually hate rigid military people. Maybe she was just around those people...and, the last one...the spirits seem to love her. Huh, I wonder why?"

Yuna spoke of his observations and then looked back to his twin brother, Yuma, and went to poke his nose playfully.

"I gotta say, I think we can have a bunch of fun with this group. This is way better then the time we snuck all those spiders into the tents of those campers! Hee hee".

As the situation calmed down with everyone sticking up with Zuuka. Abigail also shared with her something that she did not quite know. People usually had duels around these parts, what a thought...It was considered normal to have duels. For her she never had to duel anyone in the first place...Of course she was not into golems, or homunculi. She simply crafted Puppets and created Dolls. She was in a separate field of her own that did not really collide with anyone else's work. Possibly the reason why no one really challenged her to any duels. That...Or she was kind enough to ever get on anyone's bad side.

Of course, she noted Luke being able to sway the man simply using his voice. How peculiar, he must have magic sewn into his voice. As such everything was resolved peacefully and with that she could let out a deep relaxed sigh. "Phew...I normally never do that sort of thing. Sticking up for someone I don't quite know...But bullies do irk me a bit...And I guess I wanted to step up. But thank you everyone, I was worried I would be sent to the nurse's office within the first day..." She smiled gently.

Of course, Zuuka decided to use his Aegis to summon some floating cubes, and with that he used them to get a warm towel. For the son of a corporation that dealt with military weapons...They sure did have benefits for regular life. Of course, she did some self studying herself. History delved with war, and advancements were made thanks to means that was once used for taking lives. Now they were used to better lives. It was quite ironic in a sense.

But, better to have a flying cube hand you a towel to help dry yourself then shooting magical weapons at other people instead. Still...At least they could continue to the lunch hall and hopefully have a bite to eat. "So, now that that's out of the way. How about a nice change in topic like what we planned to do before that interruption? This is...Not the best question but do you all like Dolls or Puppets? I just find that there is a great creativity and ease of mind when you create such delicate items. You know, Dolls are like a nice friend on cold nights. Even when you feel lonely just having a doll makes you feel much more safe. Like a friend that normally does not talk. Even if you have no one nearby to confine your thoughts to, a doll will listen. And puppets? Putting on a show and getting smiles from an audience feels wonderful. Like you two are partners working together for entertainment." She spoke whimsically as she held her hands together.

Yuma stood and went to the railing of the balcony to look down at the others as well. Yuma was drawn to something different than the prospect of mischief.

"Those cubes floating around the boy with the pretty hair, those look like the things we found in the crates at the truck that time. You know, before..." He didn't need to finish his sentence for Yuna to know what he meant.

"Maybe that's why the spirits don't like him. I think we should mess with all of them. They look like fun." Yuma grinned devilishly.

Luke was impressed by the floating cubes and he wondered what else they could do. Luke smiled at Alison explanation about performing with her dolls on stage.

"Like performing a duet." He stated. "I'm a bit old for dolls and such, but I'm sure the younger kids like it." He looked around the courtyard and spotted a pizza place. "Oh sweet, pizza, I didn't get much of that back home. Well they made it but it never tasted right." He smiled. He then went to the stand and ordered his lunch. He sat down at a table and held it for all of them while they went to get their own lunches.

He noticed how the others took note of his abilities and he wondered how long it would be before someone figured out who he was.

(A collection of posts that we did on Discord while the site was down....we got quite a bit done)

Yuna looked in interest as his brother pointed out the boy with the pretty hair, Zuuka. Of course, Yuna had heard of Zuuka even where they lived, and since they had arrived at the city, as well as the Blacklight Corporation. A company that made weapons, games, and tech, it was super rich and famous and was had funded various different projects. And as they spoke, a smile cracked on his face.

"So many fun people to mess with indeed. This was definently a good choice...Spirits of the wind, hear my call. Lets have some fun, and burn a tongue". Yuna said to his brother, and then seemed to communicate in a language unknown to most. It was likely that only he and his brother could actually communicate with spirits in this whole school, at least that is what he thought. And surely enough, hot souce secretly got knocked down and poured in while no one was looking into the pizza that was ordered. He also caught sight of one of them making a strange call, and asked the spirits to relay the information to them. He also responded to Yuma's question. "Indeed, they look similar...only, those cubes are glowing. They have the same shape, size, and pattern, but this...Aegis...appears to be active. Maybe those were dormant or something?"

"Yuma, it looks like there are quite a few secrets going around here...should be fun investigating them all. Ahhh, I am so conflicted Yuma! I want to build up to stuff, be dramatic and all, but I also want to dramatically start with something huge! What do you think? Hmmm, well...first off...Spirits around us, tie all of their shoelaces together..."

As Yuna said that, the Spirits would go and tie together the shoelaces of everyone around them. However, Yuna seemed to only get more impatient.

"As I thought, we are not suited to doing things small. Not like this anyways" he said as he pondered things.

"Alright, its official! The hotsauce was a good start, and maybe the shoe tying thing was okay, but...we can do way better then that! Yuma, we gotta go big! Like...like....oh! Remember the time we set massive amount of fireworks inside that one guy's tent?! We should do that, for like, everyone's dormrooms!"
Yuna exclaimed that, in his usual dangerous fashion. Of the twins, while they were both pranksters, Yuna was the one who could be a bit more excessive and out there. It was often Yuma that brought him back to reason, just like how it was Yuna who brought Yuma out into the real world, not just the prankster side of them but real and true emotions.

And thanks to their abilities to communicate with and work with Spirits, who were playful and free spirited by nature, even if they were not especially talented in pure magic this was made up by their ability to get aid from Spirits, much to the dismay of their victims. And right now, Yuna was cominb up with all sorts of pranks and ways to embarass them all, sharing the same devilish grin as his brother. "Let's really knock it out of the park. No holding back"
Meanwhile, below in the plaza....
Zuuka looked away shyly as he got attention from his Aegis. It looked like he really was not used to dealing with other people in a normal setting, let alone a normal school setting, and was acting...well, cute and shy. He used the towel as he interfaced with Aegis, and mentioned something right before Abigail left.

"Its true...Aegis can be used as a weapon. But, it also can store things. Weapons too, but it can also store towels, boxed lunches, leftovers, toys, clothes, and such. Well, it does have a limited capacity, and to be honest its currently maxed out. Anyways...thanks for talking with me, I hope we will be good friends!"

As Zuuka was not currently aware of the twins, he was under the impression that everyone might not think much of him other then his father's son because he was the youngest of them, by a good bit. After all, he was not even in his teens, and the others were years older then him. If anything, this made their relationship more likely to be that of older siblings and younger sibling then friends. It did not help Zuuka's presnce felt like that of a sheltered, young, weak rich boy...

...of course, and Abigail likely knew this, Zuuka was actually far more confident and powerful when he was in combat. Especially equipped with the Aegis System, but he was already known to have combat ability. His fahter even hired military and retired military to help train him. Zuuka's fighting ability was probably much higher then anyone could fathom from looking at him without knowing.
He quickly got some pizza as well, and took a bite as he dismissed Aegis and...

"Ow! Hot!"

Alison smiled when she heard the response of Luke and Abigail. True, like a duet a puppet and puppeteer were one and the same. They were always seen together performing, one could never be complete without the other. As for Abigail, her response was short but sweet. Indeed, she accepted a doll without hesitation. So that must mean she had a spot for such a creation. “Thanks for your responses, children certainly like dolls. Of course there are quite a few adults who also pursue my wars sometimes. Everyone has their own preference of course, and as such I do enjoy hearing people’s thoughts on things. Good or bad.” She replied with a small smile.

Soon enough, they arrived at their destination. The lunch room as it seemed that all sorts of choices. From pizza to salad, there was quite a selection to choose from. No doubt to cater to the taste of everyone here. Her choice in particular was a club sandwich with a glass of water. As she sat down to eat, the others merrily talking stories to each other, she seemed content to listen without interrupting them. After a bit Abigail left to answer a phone call whirl Zuuka took a bit of his pizza which was hot. Perhaps it came straight from the oven, or it could have some spice on it for those spice lovers out there.

Of course, she noted something was terribly afoot as she stood up to get a refill of water. She generally forgot to drink some refreshments sometimes during her work, as such she tended to drink more often sometimes. She did not wear shoes, rather boots with laces. And her foot caught on something as she walked. She was certain her foot was clear of anything...A quick glance down as she fell down noted that...Her laces were...Tied together? She went wide eyed for a second with a sharp gasp. She definitely did not do this, so someone used magic while they were unaware.

She crashed to the ground with as small sharp gasp of pain, she never really was used to getting injured since she was usually careful.

Her purse also crashed to the ground, sending its contents sprawling one again...Along with the most dangerous item she had on her...her pair of scissors nearly skid into her body until she caught it rather quickly with her free hand. “W-Was this...A prank?...” She questioned herself as she lay on the floor to nurse her hurting arm which she landed on. She seemed calm on the outside...Of course in the inside her heart was beating fast. What would have happened if she was too slow? Her pair of scissors was dangerously sharp, without a container to hold them on her it would have stabbed her body...Worse...What if it skid to her eye instead? Her purse landed closer to her head...Her items were scattered everywhere now...Calm...Calm down...Nothing did happen...She had her scissors safely in her hand, she just needed a minute to recover and gather her items...See...Nothing to worry about.

Luke heard the question Abigail asked right as he was about to take a bite of pizza.
“Is it a weapon? It looks like it’s basically just a portable negative space locker with a few extra features. But I guess that kid wouldn’t be holding a grudge like that if that was all it was. I guess it’s something to keep an eye out for, if nothing else, for if they have school dueling contests.” He replied then when Zuuka sat down he saw that he got pizza too and he took a bite before Luke did. He saw Zuuka’s reaction and chuckled a little.

“Did you get the spicy stuff?” He asked before taking a bite of his own. It was super spicy and he was barely able to swallow.
“Hot! Hot! Hot!” He panted before sucking down half his soda in one sip.
It was right about now that Alison tripped and all her stuff went skidding across the floor. Luke stood up to go and help her and he too fell over, his shoelaces were tied too.

Meanwhile, back on the balcony, Yuma snickered with his brother at the pranks they had played.

“Brother, we should pace ourselves. It’s not wise to ask the spirits to make mischief too much. Remember, they get a taste for it and then they turn on us and prank us too. Best to rely on our own powers for pranks.” He reminded his brother.

“We shouldn’t go too big right off the bat, we don’t want to get expelled, then we’d have to go back to the forest again. “He warned. He used his repulsion field to levitate him and his brother down to the ground level. Yuma grinned as he watched them trying to untie their shoes.

“Maybe we should make some friends. It might be more fun to live here if we do. But we could still save the pranks for the people that deserve it, like the bullies. I just don’t want to get kicked out of here. The forest is going to be too painful without our parents. This is our chance for a new start, lets not ruin it. From now on let’s just prank the people that deserve it.”

Abagail was still looking up at the sky when she heard some commotion and looked up to see Alison on the ground. Quickly glancing around to see if the bullies were back, but they weren’t. Alison’s boots were just tied together and to dismiss it, but noticed it happened to a couple of other people, including Luke when he got up to check on Alison. She quickly glanced at Zuuka’s and saw the same thing, he hadn’t stood up yet, but might in a second. He’d probably fall fate to the same thing that happened to Alison and Luke.

Glancing quickly down at her own boots, she noticed hers were also laced together “What the
” She said under her breath and then leaning forward to relace them properly. Happening to one person, weird but okay. Twice, coincidence. But all this amount of people? No, this was done deliberately. Abigail thought to herself as she stood up and looked around to see if anyone was reacting to what happened, yeah people saw it and giggled, but nothing stood out as to who exactly did it.

Before Abigail started walking back to the table to check on the others, she noticed two boys with unique hair float down from a balcony, one looking proud of himself and the other almost trying to convince the first one of something. Siblings. More mischievous than others according to some scientific studies She thought as she watched them, trying to pick up on what they were saying.
Abigail adjusted her implants a little, and heard bits and pieces of their conversation, a couple words stuck out to her, ”let’s just prank the people that deserve it.” She wasn’t 100% sure that the had done it, but was more sure about them than anyone else. Abigail started circled back around to get behind them, readjusting her enhancements so they weren’t so high.

“Excuse me sirs.” Abigail said as she walked up behind them, but not trying to be threatening. “Mysterious powers you have th-“ she cut herself off, focusing for a second, facial features didn’t seem exactly human at this distance, plus they had a light physique. “Wood elves? If I recall, you can see and talk to spirits.” Almost seeming like she was asking Another species she had learned about, but couldn’t remember everything.

She looked down at her boots and noticed they were tied together as well. “What the
” She said to herself, and then leaning forward to lace her boots properly. After she fixed her boots she took a glance and saw the same happened to Zuuka’s laces. . Happening to one person, weird but okay. Twice, coincidence. But all of us? No, this was done deliberately. Abigail thought to herself. Now she was 99.9% sure that these two had done. She wasn’t mad or anything, just annoyed, tripping is dangerous, never know what someone is carrying.

Zuuka, after he had submerged his tongue in enough water to cool it down from the spiceyness, was still fanning his tongue with his eyes watery, looking both adorable...and a bit pathetic. Still, it was pretty clear that Zuuka was not having a good first day. And then, it seemed to get worse for everyone else.

All of a sudden, for no discernable reason, Alison ended up tripping when she tried to walk. But that was not all! So did Luke, when he tried to go to help her! And his pizza was also spicey, something that given how much soda he drank afterwards did not intent to do. It seemed like the pranking had already begun, and now it was not just Zuuka that was a target.

Of course, because he had been targeted before, he got afraid this was because of him. "Oh, I am really sorry! I think you all got targeted first because of me!" However, as he looked around while being careful not to step himself, figuring that whatever made them trip would make him trip too, he saw that this was unlikely to be the case, as there were others who were also tripping that he never spoke to.

In fact, it seemed like everyone nearby had their shoes tied. Zuuka moved around some more, but forgot with all the commotion he had not untied his own laces, which sent him falling right to the ground with a trip.
The moment that happened, remembering what he had forgotten, he quickly moved himself over and started to fix his shoelaces. Of course, he had no idea how they got into such an archaic knot in the first place. It certainly was no human knot he had ever seen, it was as is it was tied by some sort of knot god. It was going to take him awhile to get out of it. He looked around, and he did not see if Abigail got affected from his position...however, when he searched, he spotted her talking to two twins.

Meanwhile...

Yuna couldn't help but contain his laughter.

"Oh relax Yuma, nothing much....I was just thinking, stopping at shoelaces is a bit tame for us. Why not have the spirits pull down the pants of everyone here? Wouldn't that be hillarious? A mass pantsing! Oh, and thats only the start...."

But once Yuma spoke to him about the forest, and about the risk of getting expelled, he took a deep breath. "Right right, sorry. Its just, I am really excited to be here! Really excited at all the fresh meat we have. But, yeah...I am overreacting. We already ate, so how about we go check out the campus?
Oh, and we kinda just threw our luggage into our dorm room, we should probably get unpacked, take a shower, and all that. It did take us like, a month to travel here after all, and we didn't get a chance once to wash anything, or use proper soap and shampoo, or even sit and lie down on a comfy bed".
Yuna seemed to use the idea of doing other stuff around campus as a way of listening to his brothers advice, though when he mentioned friends...

"I am not the one who you should be worried about. If we are going to make friends, you need to be more honest and open, and not all shut in and closed off!" Yuna said that as he reached forward to grab his brother's hands and hold them. "After all, we are in this together. So any friends we get, they have to appreciate us for who we ar..."

Right as Yuna was about finished, someone new came up from behind and talk to them. She was about to mention something about special or strange, but seemed to recognize them as Wood Elves and got caught off guard.

The first to show a reaction was Yuna, who was a bit more open and expressive then Yuma. "Yeah, we are. And we can! But who are you?"

Unfortunately, because the twins lacked any decent social skills, Yuna ended up sounding more aggressive then he meant to and stood in front of Yuma. Someone who just knew about them and Wood Elves, Yuna was slightly cautious. Besides, the Spirits they relied on tended to avoid her, which meant she was either a stern or serious person, or was typically around people who did. He didn't want her to hurt Yuma's feelings and make him even more of an introvert.

After nursing her arm for a bit, she noted something was still off. She still felt a pain...Not in her arm but her hand...Oh no...She knew better than to panic. Her scissors she grabbed...They were sharp for a reason. To help easily cut through fabric and all manners of things while working...She panicked for one reason. If it skid into her it would have been like a knife being thrown at her...

She slowly sat up, eyes staring at her hand. She gripped the scissors a bit too tightly...A simple mistake...But it was quite a painful one at that. She stared in silent horror at her hand which was dripping with crimson liquid. She cleaned her scissors daily thank goodness...A worker is only as good as their tool. To ensure it was in top quality was very important...Of course she won’t have to worry about anything on it...But as for her hand...It paid the price of this maintenance...

She slowly stood up to grab an unused napkin she had on her table before placing her scissors on them. Clean the blood...Close the wound and the pain goes away...Clean the wound...Stitch it up...Like a doll, it was easy...She just needed to focus, and grit through it all...What a day this was.

Her eyes grew less life like as they dulled a bit in color. She almost mechanically reached down with her good hand to untie her boots which had been tied together before grabbing her cup and walked away from the others to do what she did at first. Get a new cup of water...Along with some new fresh napkins. She almost silently returned before sitting down near her fallen items getting ready to perform her own medical assistance on herself.

She was silent, her own smile remained but she seemed to be a bit too focused. Probably to dull away the pain using mental strength. She dunked the napkin in the cup of water before wringing it and began to clean her hand of blood. It stung, the cuts were not small. She grabbed them by the blades, and it looked like it was as sharp as a well kept knife.

It dug into her hand real good, but she continued on. Washing away the blood, she soon grabbed her sewing kit and thread before slowly sewing her wounds humming to herself as if she was sewing a doll closed. Round and round the string went...Her cuts soon began to close together with each passing moment until she finally closed both wounds shut. Her eyes regained color once again as she looked over her hand...Almost as good as new, just small signs of her stitch marks. She did well, just a little thing she picked up along the way. She had to take care of herself and her sister so medical aid was on her list. Once done she quickly gathered her diary and gave a sigh. “D-Don’t worry about me. I’m fine now, I grabbed them by the sharp ends.” She gave a smile to assure that she was now doing just fine.

Luke pulled himself up after falling pretty hard on the pavement, he had a bit of a scratch on his chin. His blood was a strange silvery metallic color as it dribbled down his neck from his chin. He wiped it away with a napkin and then untied the knot at his shoelaces. He saw Alison get cut picking up her scissors and was a little bit creeped out when he watched her sew the wound up herself instead of going to the nurse. He shuttered a little as she smiled at everyone to let them know she was okay.
“Maybe next time you might want to go to the nurse, they are trained for that sort of thing.”

He sat back at the table and looked at his pizza.
“Well someone or something ruined this. It’s a bit too spicy even for me.” He said before throwing it away. He was tempted to use his ice powers to freeze his tongue, but he knew that wouldn’t work.

Meanwhile:

Yuma nodded as Yuna pointed out that he needed to open up more if they wanted to make new friends and he was glad that he got through to him about taking it easy on the pranking.

“Yeah, that sounds good, I could really use a bath.” He chuckled. Then the girl with the cybernetics came over asking questions. It was clear that Yuna was getting too protective of his brother so Yuma stepped out from behind him. “Yeah, we can talk to the spirits. We were just having a little fun, we didn’t want anyone to get hurt
too badly.” He said using his most devious of powers, looking cute. He looked up at her with his big blue eye with the most innocent look he could make.

“It won’t happen again.”

Abigail looked past the twins, keeping a small eye on the group, and just in time to see Zuuka collapse because of his laces. He saw the other two fall first, thought he might not have fallen victim to that she thought to herself before the twins started talking to her. One stepped in front of the other and spoke, in an somewhat hostile tone. “I don’t mean to come off as aggressive.” She quickly said, and then the other one stepped out and spoke to her in a much softer tone than his brother.

“The name is Abigail, Abigail Morningtide. And that girl over there? Her name is Alison and she just got injured because her laces got tied.” Abigail said referencing towards Alison currently stitching herself up. She wasn’t mad, just annoyed and disappointed. The situation could have been worse, but it also could have been avoided completely. The second one tried to give an almost puppy look. She had seen it once before when a recruit tried to convince Abigail to help him dessert, but she quickly turned him over to her father directly. “I would suggest at the minimum to maybe apologize to her. The little things mean a lot. But you two are independent and don’t have to do anything I say. I wish you both a great rest of your day.” She said as she walked past them back towards the table.

Abigail walked over to Zuuka, but talked to the entire group. “Hope you all aren’t too injured.” She quickly untied the knot in Zuuka’s laces. “Alison, that’s a very good skill you have there. Top notch stitch work, some medics I know would be very impressed.” She said a straight face, but trying to be helpful. As she got done helping Zuuka, she sat back down and finished her sparkling water. “Luke, you missed a spot.” She said to him across the table and leaned over and wiped some off of his chin that he couldn’t see, with a slight smile. “So, I say we go to our dorms. I wonder if my father was able to secure that private room.” She said out loud tidying up her plate.

Zoning out a little, Abigail thought back to the bully who talked about Zuuka and the Aegis. She was still shocked that it was real, let alone Zuuka got it. What would Abigail’s Father do? He probably already confronted Mr. Blacklight about it. Aegis could turn wars and battles, even with just the storage that Zuuka showed off. Soldiers could use that store supplies and be less encumbered. Could it store vehicles and heavy ordnance? Abigail glanced over at Zuuka in the middle of her thoughts.

As Abigail spoke in a softer tone and Yuma also spoke up with Yuna, Yuna took a step back and re-assessed the situation. It seemed that he had accidentally seemed more hostile then he meant to, but Yuma seemed to take over and used the ultimate escape technique to their advantage. However, as expected this woman didn't seem phased by it. But that made sense, the ultimate escape technique had a higher chance of working on those more loved by spirits, because spirits tended to be influenced by personality. For example, Yuna and Yuma had softer and more caring personalities, even if it was mostly directed at each other, and so they were loved by the spirits. That was why it was easy for them to get spirits to do what they want, without too much risk of retaliation. In addition, Wood Elves had strong ties to the Spirits of Nature. They were the most plentiful in the world, but inversely did not hold much individual power.

Yuna decided to back up Yuma's play, and also poured on the charm while looking embarrassed. In truth though, he had a much bigger plan in mind as well. He also looked down as if ashamed, and even manipulated his body language properly.

"We are really sorry..." he said with a reddened face. "We just are new here, and...being nervous...we wanted to relieve some stress and have fun. We didn't mean to hurt anyone...its just...we only have each other and have no friends here, so...I promise, we will be more careful and considerate of others. Its just...really hard, we don't have any friends like you guys".

After that, he gave an apologetic bow, and then looked towards Yuma. "Come on, we better go and go see our dorm room. The boys dorm should be...the large tower north west of here".

He said that while he took Yuma to try and lead him away, before anyone who wasn't so forgiving decided to take note of them and connect the dots.

Meanwhile...

Zuuka got up and looked around some more, only to see Abigail talking to some twins who looked like they were about to leave. They were rather young though, and far away, so Zuuka did not think the Wood Elf twins had anything to do with it. Perhaps, given their location, he thought that Abigail believed they might have seen something.

Actually wait, why did I think they were Wood Elves? At this distance, with their hair, I cant tell that....maybe, intuition? Or could it be...

In a soft voice, he interacted with Aegis.

"Aegis, what happened exactly?"

"A distortion in Spirit Activity was detected, so we automatically decided to scan the area covertly. As indicated in logged information, Wood Elves are capable of seeing and talking to Spirits. It coincided with the Spirit Anomaly. However, it should be noted they are not the only ones who are strong with influencing spirits here. There are a number of others, including non-Wood Elves, who have high enough Spiritual Power to do so, including the one who attempted to challenge you to a duel".

"I see...so it probably was not them then...maybe..."

"However, please switch us to full power mode. It was mostly harmless this time, but Spirit Attacks may come in the future and Low Power Mode may not be able to handle it".

Zuuka heard the plee, but decided to ignore it as he focused on Luke, Alison, and Abigail who recently got back.

"Are you okay Alison? You should probably see the nurse".

Suddenly, an Aegis cube popped up near him and floated over to Alison.

"Master has expressed interest in healing you. If you wish, we can provide a limited healing aura to help recover the wounds".

Another cube also appeared and floated over to Abigail, much to Zuuka's surprise.

"An attack was logged, and you appeared to communicate with two boys over there. Please confirm if they are hostile targets so we..."

"Aegis, recall. But provide healing aura to everyone around. Otherwise, Sheathe".

Suddenly, the cubes stopped acting on their own and returned to Zuuka with the exception of the healing cube, which gave off a glow of light.

"Sorry, I asked it what happened before, and it looks like it activated Auto-Task processing. Aegis is not sentient really, but it can react to things and is set up to be easy to interface with it, especially me" he said, as he pulled out another cube and took out a boxed lunch...only, there was something strange about the box.

Rather, it had a pink heart on it that said "For when you miss home cooking, love dad".

"...please dont say anything. I just, dont want to go and buy another lunch. Lets just finish eating, and then explore campus a little. To be honest, I only arrived today so it would be nice to check out the dorms, unpack, and relax there...what do you all want to do and check out there?"

Being the youngest, Zuuka himself was unsure how much the other three would actually listen to him over their own desires, and given the way he spoke it was probably really easy to figure that out too.

Luke smiled as Abigail wiped away the last little bit of his blood, though in the back of his mind he felt a little suspicious and wondered if she was actually collecting a sample of siren blood. He was never too trusting of military types. He also took note of the twin wood elves that Abigail had been talking to, he was only able to tell that they were elves by the way they looked so adorable yet they mischievous. Only elves looked that adorable, it was a form of self defense.

When, Zuuka activated the Aegis device, it started healing them and he felt his scratch on his chin heal and it felt strange.

"Well I'd like to see the dorms too, just to put away my stuff, but I'd also like to check out the pool. I mean what's a siren without a body of water to draw people to their doom?" He chuckled, making fun of his own myths.

Meanwhile:

Yuma went along with Yuna as he dragged him along to the dorm room. Finally, they were out of range of everyone else and Yuma stopped.

"I think she might have been right. That girl with the scissors got hurt. We should apologize to her and I think the singing boy with the orange hair got hurt too." Yuma seemed truly concerned about the people that got hurt.

"We shouldn't hurt people unless they hurt us first. The pranks should be funny, but not hurt anyone." Yuma said to Yuna with a pout on his face.

Luke was the first to express his concern even when she mentioned that she was fine. “Oh, it’s quite fine. I rather not waste the nurses time with a cut that I can handle. I also don’t handle pain all that well, and I’m also quite frail. Losing too much blood is a bit more for me than other people. So, I found it safer to treat myself. And to help severely lessen the pain.” Alison replied to Luke as she began to clean up the used up items for her self treatment.

While she cleaned up, picking up her scattered items and placing them in her purse, throwing away the bloody and used napkins. Abigail soon arrived after a bit, and she complimented her on her stitch work. Even medics she knew would have been impressed. This was just what she did on a normal basis of course...Still, no words of that much concern. They all met for a day so she expected as much...It was just a cut from a scissors so it was no big deal to them probably.

Moving on, Zuuka had also told her that she should visit the nurse. And he also expressed what was considered the ‘most concern’ to her health. Still, that did cheer her up even if it was a small amount. However she waved her hands. “Thanks for the recommendation, I’m really fine now. The injury only feels warm now. No searing pain anymore. I’m fine see?” She waved her hands still to show everyone that she was doing fine.

Her hand did look fine, the only trace that there was an injury was the stitch marks. Other han that she did a great job, possibly better than what the nurses could do. After all, she had been sewing her whole life making dolls and puppets. She no doubt had great stitch work.

Abigail’s thoughts were quickly interrupted with one of the Aegis cubes flying to her face, which startled her and made her scooch her chair back a bit. “Hostile? No, no. No one hostile.” She said quickly before Zuuka recalled it. Abigail scooted back in when Zuuka and Luke talked about going to dorms and mentioned the pool. “I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work that way Luke but remind me not to go swimming with you just in case” Abigail said outloud standing up and double checking her laces, in case the twins got the idea to try again. “Well, I’m going to head off towards the dorms. My father sent most of my items ahead of time, so I need to confirm they arrived.” She wasn’t sure if Alison would be in the dorms, she had heard about some people not being in dorms, plus some students lived in Mistviel City.

Abigail was honestly scared of the Aegis system, something she didn’t know much about besides the destruction it caused at Celstus, and it asking if just some kids were hostile didn’t exactly make her feel much better. As Abigail stood up, half of her vision went out and arm fell limp for a second, she quickly sat down, the sudden vision changes and reboot made her dizzy. What the
she thought to herself. “Must be the mist affecting my systems.” She said out loud, not wanting her the other to worry.

“Anyways, as I was saying previously, I will see you around. Zuuka, Luke, Alison.” Abigail said with a smile and and slight wave with her cybernetic arm as she stood up and threw her trash away, heading in the direction of the dorms. As she walked she thought about her recent company. Mr. Blacklight’s son, Zuuka; Didn’t expect to see him, let alone find out he has the Aegis System. Alison; sweet girl, but her emotions after tripping and stitching herself up seemed off. Maybe she just has good bearing. Luke; seemed normal. Has an improved vocal power, not known with male Sirens. So that was unique. “Let’s hope nothing else goes wrong today. Wonder what father sent ahead.” She said to herself, words that almost always led to something going wrong.
