Description

Character Form:

Fullname(Nickname): Alyek P. Niege aka. (Alyek, Snow.)
Rank: General
Age: 23
Picture:

Image

Strengths and Weaknesses:
In his human form he is extremely fast on his feet and usually fights with a knife or thin sword, he never uses a gun he is also very skilled in martial arts. His animal form is considerably slower due to it's size but he is infinitely stronger.

Personality:
He's the quiet sort, he doesn't seem to have a lot to say most the time and can often be found napping in odd places, but when he's on business he takes his job seriously and will back down for nothing.

History: Alyek was born in the far north, not surprising as he is a polar bear. There is a small tribe that resides way waaay up there where humans don't dare settle for anything. Everyone within that tribe was a polar bear shape shifter. They lived peacefully there, fishing, hunting, and expressing their unique culture. That is....until the humans found the land was rich with gold and oil. The small tribe happened to reside dangerously close to a patch of land with record breaking gold strains. Eventually one of the humans there spotted one of the villagers as he was transforming into his polar bear form and conflict began. The humans where massively outmatched until they got their hands on a few rifles. The whole village was wiped out in one night, save for Alyek. He ran south. Mind you he was only a child at the time. He ran south and was captured by a couple of biologists, of course they thought he was a real polar bear, driven south by the melting poles and the hunting they took him and installed him in a zoo down in Avernon. It was the Chief of district 23 that finally broke him out faking his sickness and ultimate death in captivity, he snuck him out as a human and took him as a personal guard. Years later, and lots of training later he made it to the level of General and now serves the Chief without question.

Alyek strode smoothly into the bar, blue eyes calm and cool as usual. He wore his preferred clothing a crisp long white coat with the emblem of the generals on his right arm, a thin blade swung at his waist. It was his preferred weapon in his human form. Light and easy to weild. He huffed slightly as he saw the pub was full of the usual evening drinkers fussing over the football game on the television. Personally he wasn't even slightly interested in such things. He went to the bar and ordered a whole bottle of straight vodka so that he could take it to his seat and enjoy it on his own. He was anything but a light drinker, being of bear species it was as if all 700lbs of bear where absorbing it, leaving very little to actually affect him. He sat down at a booth on his own, sat back and crossed his leg and enjoyed his vodka, gazing at the strangers in the pub.

A little black rabbit ran into the the pub, promptly shifting into his classy human form. The young man wore a long jacket which flew behind him in almost a dramatic way. He walked straight up to the counter with a neutral expression, almost so neutral it was hard to tell if he felt anything at all.

He orders a bottle of wine and sits at a table alone only a few yards from Alyek. Emeric Faramond sat facing the door staring at the table and occasionally taking a sip out of the wine glass provided to him. He pulled his cellphone from his pocket and began hastily typing. Emeric was not text anyone, since he didn't have friends, but he was searching things. He was one for research, being a journalist, he had to.

Even if the pale faced man was emotionless, he tended to like art, he was searching for a nice piece for his loft. Something old, but would fit nicely in an ultra modern apartment. He came close to nothing except for a design picture of some sort of flower. It was hideous. Emeric set his phone down with an irritated sigh and glanced around.

Not far from Hunter's makeshift home Alyek came out of the pub, deciding to take his vodka to go. He was already on his second bottle and finally feeling a light buzz. He yawned widely and looked either way down the street then touched the hilt of his long thin blade, simply out of habit. It was a wonderful evening. Alyek stuck out like a sore thumb in the darkness of the street with his sharp long white coat and his pale blond hair. He strode leisurely down the street without much of a plan for where he was headed. Simply taking a walk he supposed.

To be perfectly honest Alyek hated the city. It was filthy, cramped, and noisy. Full to the brim with humans who didn't care. Selfish humans. He missed the Arctic. The way the icy wind bit and burned more feirce then any fire. The mute silence of the snow and the raging rush of the wind. Alyek took a deep swig from his bottle of vodka, then came the scent of a fox not far from where he was. Female. He debated whether or not to find this creature and decided against it. He doubted she wanted to be bothered by him. Alyek placed the bottle down on the sidewalk and leaned against a nearby building and his eyelids drooped. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his long coat and listened to the sound of cars going by, staring lazily into space.

Hunter heads towards a small, almost deserted part of town which had market booths. There were so many of them, surprisingly, especially compared to the size of the small fox that stood before them. The were all in different colors, but most of them dulled by the damp air and the harsh shades of night.

immediately the little red fox began searching for some sort of booth that sold quilts or blankets, none in site so far. They had jewelry stands, make up products, clothing, other odd little things that Hunter had never even heard of. She slid under a booth as a guard went by, soon peaking out to see if the coast was clear.

She made her way to almost the end of all the booths, still nothing in site, until she came across a most peculiar booth, covered in many different little things. Hunter approached it cautiously. It was rather colorful, but on top of it all was a plaid blanket, if a fox could smile it'd be smirking right now.

With a quick jump Hunter jumped onto the table, tacking the blanket edge in her jaws, and hastily made her way back to the alley. While she made a run for it another lady shouted "Theif!" After her rather loudly too.

Alyek sighed and abandoned his bottle. He made his way swiftly to where the stands where and got there just as the fox disappeared back into the alley. "I wouldn't run if I where you! You should know the laws of using your form against humans." He shouted into the alley drawing his long thin sword. "Don't make me go in there after you....it's my day off."

He shook hair from his eyes and proceeded into the alley slowly. He stuck out in the dark of the alleyway, a bright white figure in the dingy darkness.

The fox growled softly to itself, she didn't want any trouble with whoever this guy was, so from in the dark end of the alley, the red fox set the still partially folded blanket on a bit of dry ground, then made her way quickly back to the brick building. She turned another corner to which she could see the unfinished one story building.

It wasn't more than a few yards away, the wide open window with a simple piece of scrap fabric thrown over the curtain rod for privacy right there. So, before the authoritative man could come any closer, the fox made another great jump and swiftly made it into her room, shifting into her human form. Her bed sat in the lonely corner, the young lady made her way over to it only to lay onto it lazily. Hunter kicked off her sneakers and relaxed for a moment, winding her finger around a ringlet of her unnaturally red hair.

She sighed quietly hoping the guard couldn't hear her or had taken the blanket and left or something. She just didn't want any business with his sword.

Alyek moved forward and picked up the blanket, sheathing his thin blade, he frowned his brows furrowed and he peered into the darkness. "Stealing a blanket...." He shook his head and felt a bit sorry for whoever the girl was. He turned and left the alleyway and went back to the woman's stand. She thanked him repeatedly and went on about lowlifes stealing her business away going on about children to feed and whatnot. Alyek ended up buying the quilt himself. It was no burden as a General he had wages that people dream about. He went back to the alley. He went around the corner to the building Hunter had made her home and stuck the quilt through the open window. He didn't enter the building, simply stood outside, his silhouette outlined on the other side of the scrap of fabric hanging down. "Sometimes all you need to do is ask, kid. If you'd like....I can take you somewhere for a nice full meal and some fresh clothes."

Hunter had heard this feeling slightly guilty. Well, not slightly, very guilty. She frowned, wondering if she should respond, the curly haired girl sat up on the bed, looking towards the window hesitantly. She bit her lip softly as she finally spoke up. "You did not have to buy that for me," she says softly in reply. "I should not have stolen it."

She said all this from where she sat, not wanting to show her face. That was why she did these things in her animal form, it felt almost shameful. She waited quietly for a response as she fidgeted with her hands. She had not expected to see kindness from such a man. It was different.

"You shouldn't have...but what choice did you have right? Everyone deserves to be warm at night. You keep the blanket otherwise I'll have wasted five credits on your pride, now come on out and we can share a meal. I have no one else to share a meal with." He leaned against the side of her home putting his hands in his coat pockets once more. It was true, Alyek hadn't made any friends in that city. The people he worked with had their own lives and the soldiers where all too afraid of him to go for a drink. "What do you like to eat, hmm? There's a nice steakhouse not too far from here...and an italian place, or we could go for chinese...I could go for some chinese..."

Hunter looked down at her hands, clenching and unclenching them, running her thumb across the scrapes and scars. Her living situations weren't awful, around once a week she was able to wash all of her clothes with the coins she had, bathe here and there, and get some food sometimes. There were times, of course, when she stole, but she wasn't prideful of that.

Her shoulders dropped immensely. "Look, that's really kind of you, and thank you for the blanket, that was really nice, but you do not have to waste any more of your time and your money on me," she says, trying not to sound prideful, though she hated hearing the sound of self pity in her own voice, it sickened her. Hunter sounded educated, she had gone to high school, but never college. The young women rested her back against the brick wall.

She looked down at what she wore, it was pretty average, a pair of old dark jeans and a female's red flannel button shirt, which almost blended with her curly hair.

Across the street from Alyek and Hunter, a man walked quietly down the sidewalk. He was at least two inches taller than the relatively normal people around him, as he stood at about six foot two inches tall. One would expect him to be a skinny person due to being so tall, however, under his large black overcoat he had a compact muscular build with little to no fat on his body. His hands were in his pockets as he walked, his black shoes hitting the ground so softly that he moved with almost an eerie silence, weaving his way between and around the few people who were rushing back to their homes.

However, while walking, he would accidentally bump someone in the shoulder, knocking them off balance and onto the ground. This person immediately got up and turned, a hostile look on his face. "Hey! Watch where you're going, punk!" He called to the man, who stopped and slowly turned, his hands coming out of his pockets as he tilted his head slightly. "What? You don't understand English?" the person asked angrily.

The man laughed. "I understand it just fine. However what I don't understand is that how a little bump can make you as mad as you are." he mused. "And by the way, my name isn't 'Punk' just so you know." he added.

"I don't give a damn what your name is, you need to learn not to bump into other people." the person said, slamming his fist into his open hand in an attempt to intimidate the man in the black coat.

"If it is going to be that way, then let's step out onto the street, so we don't hit anyone else." the man in the black coat said, gesturing to the street as he turned and walked, the angry man following him.

As the man in the black coat walked leisurely, the angry civilian he had bumped into started running towards him, aiming a punch towards his head. The black coat wearing man rolled his eyes and ducked, turning so that he effectively dodged the punch without even looking or touching the other person, who stumbled before turning.

"Before we do this, you should know that my name is Andrew." the black coat wearing man said, putting his hands up, palms facing forward as if to say he didn't want to fight. "Though, I'd rather not fight." he added, his dark green eyes glancing over to Alyek. "Smells like a General." he thought before looking back to his opponent.

"I said I don't give a damn what your name is!" the civilian yelled, aiming another punch at Andrew. This punch was not dodged. Instead, it was parried to the side with a simple slap. Andrew's hands came to the man's back, and neck, then pulled the man into several knee-strikes to the torso, knocking the man onto the ground.

"I told you I didn't want to do this..." Andrew said with a sigh, dusting himself off. He looked to the man as he writhed in pain at his feet. "Don't get up." he growled, nudging the man's hand away from his ankle with his foot.

He then let out an annoyed breath as he walked to the side of the street where Alyek stood, placing his hands in his pockets again before walking down the side walk and past the General. "Please don't notice, please don't notice." he thought as he calmly passed by Alyek.

Alyek stuffed his hands into his pockets and nodded. "Suit yourself then, I suppose it's a dinner for one then." He was just about to walk away when he heard a commotion going on across the street. He sighed and narrowed his eyes, hoping to god it wasn't something he'd have to get involved in. This is my day off people....why don't you understand this....I simply want to relax, have a drink, have a meal with a lovely lady and sleep. But of course not. He saw the commotion go down and as the tall dark haired male walked past he darted up behind him and had his thin blade out, its diamond sharp edge against Andrew's neck the metal cold as ice. "You should know better than to harass a human, shifter. I aught to lock you up or perhaps beat you so every bruise I give you is equal the one you gave to that man."

Andrew stopped immediately after he heard the blade move from its sheath, and his hands came out of his pockets as the cold metal touched his neck, coming up so they were parallel to his shoulders, indicating his not wanting a conflict.. He found himself in a position where he couldn't run, or even move without either getting cut or running into something that was much stronger than him.

He didn't like these odds.

Andrew cleared his throat, fighting the urge to simply push the sword away and strike. "If you would allow me to explain, General." he said as calmly as he could, which was convincingly so. "I was minding my own business, and I happened to accidentally bump into that poor, unfortunate human. The human clearly over-reacted, and as he punched, I merely defended myself on instinct." he explained.

He heard what the General aught to do, and his fingers twitched. "I would rather you not lock me up or beat me. I've..." he blinked slowly, letting out a breath. "Had enough beatings to last two lifetimes." he said.

He would slowly turn his head to look at the sword-wielding General, dark green eyes holding a mix of fear, calmness, and just a hint of defiance. "Please, stay your blade. I will cooperate." he said softly. After he spoke, one of his canines poked from between his lips. The visible eye of the wolf-shifter locked with one of the eyes belonging to the polar bear-shifter as he asked him to lower the blade from his neck.

"Hmh.....Your personal problems are not my own" Alyek's icy blue eyes narrowed."You want me to stay my blade, then you should learn to stay your temper, wolf. Now help the man up, see that he's alright and I'll let you go with a warning. It's my day off and I don't want to waste it escorting your sorry ass." He murmured. He sheathed his sword smoothly. "I'd best not catch you harming another human, it doesn't matter what form you do it in, this is a place of peace."

What bullshit. The man deserved the punnishment. Eventually us shifters won't have to bend to this babysitting. He thought to himself. He walked on along the sidewalk, his back to the wolf shifter. In all truth he hated humans with all of his strength, it gave him a bad taste to be defending one like this, but he had to keep the act up for the time being.

Andrew listened carefully and as the blade was removed from his neck, he let out a relieved breath. He then nodded to what the General told him to do. "Of course. Thank you for giving me a chance." he said with a fake smile, bowing slightly in respect. The bow was genuine, of course; this wolf wasn't the one to dishonor something as respected as a bow. After the polar bear turned and started walking, Andrew let out an annoyed huff, walking over to the man on the street, and helping him up and off the street.

"You're lucky that I didn't hit you full force. You will be left only with bruising and pain for a few days." he told the man as he half carried half helped the man walk to the sidewalk. "I suggest you don't try and pick a fight anymore. I apologize for bumping into you." he said, letting the man lean against a building before turning and walking down the street again, a hand raised to his neck where the blade had rested. There was no blood, which relieved him, but he stopped and looked at Alyek for a second before turning and walking down the street.

After a while he turned, walking into an empty alley way, out of sight of everyone and everything before practically stumbling into the wall, leaning against it, hand against his neck. His breathing grew heavy, and fear filled his eyes as he started to shake. He continued like this for maybe thirty seconds before straightening up and walking out of the alley, and back down the street.

Hunter sighed as she had though Alyek had left, but then she heard the sound of a small fight and after a cry of pain. She stood up inching her way towards the window, pausing to slip her shoes back on. She wondered if she should peak outside.

She then heard the sharp unsheathing of a sword and the cold words of the guard saying, "You should no better than to harass a human, shifter. I ought to lock you up an perhaps beat you so every bruise I give you is equal to the one you gave that man." Then promptly after a few more exchanges of words, clearly Alyek still wanted to hurt this man.

Hunter stood back after hearing this. She hesitated. "...Is everything alright?" She finally asks softly, standing in front of the glassless window, slowly moving the sheet to the side to see what was happening? She felt as if she shouldn't be showing her face, but at this point she could not help it.

Alyek turned to Hunter, surprised to see her actually show her face to him. "Yeah everything's fine." He assured her. "Just a little disturbance. Not sure what that guy was playing at beating a guy right in front of me." He murmured.

He smiled fleetingly. "I'll leave you to your business if your sure you don't want to spend a little time...with me....I understand..." He nodded and turned to head on down the street. He hesitated and turned to look at her. "Though...perhaps you should consider that maybe I'm not doing it to help you but simply....because I could use the company....I understand...people in difficult situations have their pride...but you should also know people in wealthy situations get lonely...."

Hunter took a breath in, glancing over at the other man on the street. She threw a leg over the brick window and let herself down, she then looked at the surprisingly very tall guard. "I uh, I suppose it couldn't hurt," she smiled faintly at him, shoving her hands in her pockets.

She felt a bit awkward with the other guy around, and she didn't know what to do altogether. It had been forever since she had been asked anywhere, she just prayed she didn't smell bad like a street rat, though she technically was one. She pushed the lock of crimson hair from her face as she stood there.

Alyek smiled back at her. "Well then, where would you like to go for the evening? I was thinking....Italian. I love a good bowl of pasta."

He slipped his hands into his own pockets and looked up at the sky, briefly, spotting a plane mozying on by across the sliver of sky he could see. He strode down the street with her down towards the main streets where the best restaurants where. It was a bit out of character for him to actually go as far as to ask someone out with him. Least of all someone who lived on the streets. Personally it didn't bother him, he wasn't planning on anything more than sharing a meal with her. A little bit of a social life never hurt anyone. He was a general, no one questioned him for meaningless things such as this.

"I do not have a preference." Hunter still seemed skeptic, feeling very awkward. She wasn't the one for making conversation. She looked at the blonde general with her clear blue eyes, she was definitely out of her comfort zone by this point. Though, what had she expected? This was bound to happen someday.

The general was extremely tall, and handsome, though she didn't think of him that way. Because of his authority, she would remain uncomfortable. She was always offset by people like him. She didn't want to say one wrong thing and get locked up, or taken to a refuge, she like her life the way it was and what she had not expected was change.
