David Tyler's Story

"Aramay!" Abrams attempted to corner her in order to take the rat from her but she had gotten fast and very agile in the time she had to herself. The chase was slightly entertaining, a grown man like himself struggling to get a rat from a patient, he had to admit, it was comical. He had to hold back the chuckle that eventually forced its way out. They where interrupted however by the sudden flash at the window and everybody looked.

There in the window was a man with dark hair and fair skin, a camera in front of his face. It was such a shocking sight that for a minute Abrams and Alma could just stare. Aramay however had bolted for him and that caused him to scramble backwards a pace, yelling a shocked profanity. He chanced another shot with his camera of her face before he scrambled to his feet and ran into the darkness just as Abrams shouted his own share of profanities, running out into the hallway.

"INTRUDER! THERE'S AN INTRUDER ON THE PREMISES!" He announced. The whole compound seemed to come alive, just as it had when Aramay had lost it but for once this time they weren't rushing for her tranquilizer darts ready. They all ran out and into the darkness. Floodlights where turned on and a search for the dark haired intruder commenced..

There was no way she could figure out anything with the mystery male. The window blocked her from taking in any smells and most sounds were muffled by it as well. Her wide, dilated eyes picked up on his features very quickly when anyone else wouldn't have been able to see much more than movement without the aid of a flashlight. His scrambling made her giddy and want to give chase in an instant. She clawed at the glass in a vein attempt to get through and when she couldn't she started to muffle a disgruntled, rat-muffled yodel. Her enthusiasm was cut short with another bright flash directed right at her eyes.

She instantly drops the rat and yelps, scrambling back. Her eyes shut tight while shaking her head to shake away the spots that now filled her vision. 'Too bright! Too bright!' Repeatedly she blinked her eyes when that didn't help her regain her vision making her grunt in frustration. By the time her vision did start to clear up Abrams was already long into the process of waking, grabbing and yelling at every guard available. It was safe to say she had lost her appetite for the now cold fuzzy snack. Was she pissed about having her picture taken or more specifically have a bright, blinding light stab her retinas? Most certainly.

Soon as she regained a decent amount of her vision again she was right back at the window to watch as the area lit up with torch lights, floodlights and all other manner of illumination. This actually made it more difficult for her to chance another glimpse of him. Much like stepping out into the sun from a dark room it took even more time and effort for her eyes to adjust to what was happening outside. Whoever it was he was long gone from her vision making her protest that she couldn't go out there as well. However, seeing the guards in a frenzy like a disturbed wasps nest eventually forced her to back away shyly. She had been in trouble one too many times to even want to be seen by them. Her first instinct was to hide behind the bed.

The compound was alight for much longer that night as the search continued for the mystery male, fading ever so slightly as it brought them further and further out into the city and away from the compound. Each hour the search became more desperate and more hopless. Dave had outsmarted them dodgeing them in the homeless part of the city and ducking into a particular shop. He knew the owner and stayed there for the night fearing the idea of bringing the pissed off guards to his front doorstep. What the hell had that creature been? It looked....like a dog but....wrong.... He sat down on the futon and crossed his legs digging through his bag for his camera that he had stuffed away whilst running through homeless people and their collective street fires. He stared at the display screen for a very long time. This was definite proof of possible animal hybriding....maybe they where making a shapeshifter super soldier....not a very good one....if it's still chasing rats around the apartment though.... He thought to himself as he zoomed in on her face with the screen, the dead rat dangled from her maw as she howled up at him.....She'dHowled at me.....was that some kind of mating call? Weird... It was kind of of cute..

In the meantime Alma was attepting to get Aramay out from behind the bed to comfort her from the chaos. She managed to coax her out and wrapped her arms around her neck comfortingly. "They're not looking for you this time I promise. They're looking for that man.....and I hope they find him....for your sake...and for his...The chief is a dangerous man to play this game with."

Eventually Abrams came back. He got rid of the dead rat and knelt in front of Aramay. "Aramay....the reason I am telling you not to eat the rats is because small prey leads to medium prey and medium prey are humans and people like Alma. It will only hurt you if you end up trying to catch them like this rat. You and them. Alma is a rabbit shifter." Abrams scratched her ears gently and smile weakly then went on to talk to Alma about what they suspected on the intruder. Something of an Animal Rights Activist for humans, really. A pain in all of their asses.

Aekchart chuckled as he glanced down at the scrawled word. "I'm glad we have an understanding, I'll keep your cooperation in the back of my mind and throw you a bone occasionally."

Alyek chuckled at the Chief's pun and gave Aramay the sedative she asked for. As he left he gave her a message. "You want me to show you why I should be respected? Oh you'll get it through your thick scull soon enough."

Abrams returned to the room once the two had left her there sedated and bound up. He undid her bindings and realizing she had been sedated he carried her back to her room himself. It was much easier in her human for he could lift her cradled in his arms, however he didn't make a big deal of it. He knew she didn't particularly enjoy his presence. He wished he could ask what had happened. He'd wait until she was ready to speak, that or Alyek will tell him. He put her in her bed to give her rest and for the first time since moving her to that room he locked the door. "Rest up Aramay" he'd said before leaving the room. The window to the room now had a lock to it...however it wasn't more than five minutes before a familiar head popped up on the other side of it. David tapped the glass and waved at her and just then every light and peice of machinery flicked off. The power had gone out. If Aramay had tried to get a better look out the window she would have seen several young guys darting about through the darkness. There was shouting in the hallway and running boots.

"I need that power back on immediately!" Abrams said to the guard who trotted off. There was an eerie calm David put his coat up against the glass to shield himself and muffle the sound it would make of him breaking it. He punched a hammer right through the center and brushed away the broken bits It was just enough for someone like him to slip through. He was a thin guy. He was followed by two other men, one who guarded the door with a knife in his hand. David crouched by her bedside and grinned at her. "We're here to save you miss. The experiments they've done on you are illegal and we've been looking for an excuse to shut them down. From now on you're not going to be hurt, poked, or prodded." They would try and get Aramay up on her feet but if the sedative caused her to be pretty much out of it they would have picked her up themselves and carried her to the window. David climbed up through the window with ease and reached down to take a hold of her and help her through, the other guy helped her from the ground. It was then that Abrams attempted to check on her, appearing at the door.

"There's some doctor trying to get in, we need to hurry!"

Aramay never like hearing those jokes at any point in time. Her distress wouldn't last long once the needle jabbed into her arm. The stress she was feeling was almost overwhelming. There was still so much she didn't know and now she was making deals with the head honcho of the whole operation. Whatever it took to keep herself alive and going. She ignored Alyek's remark. Her mind already preoccupied with wanting to speak with Abrams. She had too many questions that needed to be answered and he was the only one who would be able to give her the details she needed in order to answer them. However by the time Abrams got back to her she was already too out of it to be able to speak with him.

She wanted to walk herself. That was out of the question, she couldn't do anything to stop him. All she could do was mumble and wish that she had the muscle strength to hit him, just once. For failing to hold up to more than a couple of his promises thus far from what she could see. It drove her nuts to not be able to pick his mind. Though where would she be if she hadn't asked to be sedated? Damned if you do and damned if you don't. She would be left without an advantage until she could make heads or tails of just how much worse it could be by her agreeing to cooperate. To obey.

Being laid down on the bed she finally forced herself to feel a hint of relief. She wasn't in restraints anymore and the bed she was in felt rather comfortable. This was the room, or at least a similar room she was last in when she-no, focusing too much on the negatives was going to make her sick. She had to start thinking about the positives if she wanted to get through it. How were they going to be able to control her if she couldn't control what she did herself? This was going to be rather difficult. A knock on the window startles her out of her internal debate. She turned her head and gasped to find someone outside of the window. 'What in the world?' The lights go out plunging the room into darkness. 'Wait, no this isn't right.' She manages to sit up on the bed, flinching when the window breaks. This isn't right, this isn't good at all.

She couldn't get out of the bed on her own, she had to be helped up. "We're here to save you miss." Of all the times they could have chosen to come help her. Its at a time when tension happened to be at its highest. "You had to wait, till now." She mutters as they carry her to the window. This was bad. How was she going to be able to do on the outside without needing to be sedated just to keep hell from breaking loose? "No, wait!" She looked back into the room as she's being pulled through the window. Through her half muddled daze she clearly had a look of panic by the time Abrams came into the room. She looked to him for help. It was clear that she had no control over what was happening. If only Alyek hadn't given her so much sedative she at least would have put up a struggle.

David chuckled. "Well it took us a pretty long time to find this place, it's not so easy to discover and infiltrate a secret base hidden in the city...Wait? What do you mean wait, do you want out of this place or not?"

It wasn't so much of a quesion, who would want to be locked up in a cell? Abrams saw through the small window in the door that Aramay was being carted off. He fumbled with the key to her room as one of the guys leaned a chair under the knob. They lifted her up and guided her through the small window and into cool wet grass. It was the first time she actually felt the fresh air in quite some time and the night was beautiful, however this was short lived as they carted her into one of their cars.

David hopped into the drivers seat and pulled off the moment all their limbs where in. Guards where pouring out of the bunker doors shouting and getting into their own government issued cars.

Aramay didn't respond. She was in so much shock from the whole ordeal she didn't know what to say back to the dark haired man. Her mind froze up not knowing what to tell him. Did she really want out? Yeah she was willing to do what it took to be free again. The feeling the cool hair hit her skin while the wet grass touched her bare feet she started to feel her eyes water up. She couldn't find the will to say anything else. Either way she was stuck with an unknown future with either group.

From one container and into another. This one was mobile. It was a strange feeling being out of there though. Being stuck in a gown may have become an unexpected common place back in the complex. Now being surrounded by these unknown men who seemingly came from nowhere-she curled up on the seat feeling exposed. She looked around to each of them. The full gravity of the situation had yet to hit her, leaving her in shock. "How long have you known about this, that place?" If she couldn't get answers from Abrams she would get some from these folks.

She looked at her hands. Claw tips peeked out from under her nails constantly reminding her of what lay just below the surface of her skin. If it wasn't for the sedatives. "Oh shit." She says a little louder than she expected. How long did the sedatives last again? Alyek was the one who gave them to her and normally it lasted around a few hours. But then what after that? There weren't going to be any guards or locked doors to stop her. She ran her fingers through her hair trying not to allow herself to feel anymore anxiety than she already did. As long as she kept herself calm she would be fine. Her sensitive hearing picked up on other cars tailing the one they were in.

David navigated the city streets with ease weaving in an out of traffic. They guys seem unbothered by her dress, but one of the guys noticed how she curled up in the seat.

"Don't worry we'll get you proper clothes when we loose the company." He jerkd his thumb at the black SUVs on their tail. Upon closer observation he looked to be latino with his dark hair and eyes. He smiled warmly at Aramay. "You should relax...hey I got just the thing." He dug into his coat and handed her a bottle of whiskey. "This should take the edge off, have a drink."

"We've been tailing these guys for a while. The doctor, Abrams records say he's the worlds leading scientist in genes, he wrote the book pretty much. In the past month or two he suddenly drops off the radar and we find in in this shitty apartment on Fourth. The guy should be a millionaire, however...nothing. A little digging later we find evidence of a project, so hush it doesn't have an official name to throw around and you can only find it out through a series of unusual shipments in that location." The third guy, the one who helped lift her though the window explained meticulously.

David then spoke up from the driver's seat. "We still don't know what exactly goes on in there but my bet is the answer is you."

Wearing something other than a glorified thin sheet would be a nice change of pace. They acted as though outrunning them wouldn't be a big deal. It was a rag tag group for sure but depending on how well they did greatly depended on much more than her freedom. "This should take the edge off, have a drink." She huffs a small exasperated laugh taking the bottle from him. There was this warning about not mixing medication and alcohol. She took the bottle and took a drink. It burned her tongue and throat making her cough. She's had it before. Her dad would share it with her whenever they bartered for some. But she was not familiar with this brand. Giving it a second go she started to chug the strong alcohol. If she wanted to keep all of them from crashing before they reached their destination...there was no way of telling what would happen if the sedative wasn't enough. She coughed and choked taking too big of a gulp.

It was strange hearing about Abrams and the project from the outside. "The project was supposed to test if humans could be hybridized. They wanted to see if they could bring out the 'inner animal'. Abrams oversaw and managed the project looking for individuals who were more likely to be receptive to the treatments. He was technically successful. Not enough to implement it on the public. The process was still experimental so they can only perform so many treatments single individual-" She stopped. She knew she was referring to herself but she couldn't stand to say it directly. "They're still running into a lot of problems since its only the first run. They were in the middle of looking for a way to remedy it."

She took another drink from the bottle. The alcohol was hitting her system already, making her feel even more sluggish than before. "You put yourselves in danger by helping me."

"Yeah....it's gone now...turned into an old oil site." Alyek smirked, shaking his head. "Humans...."

Just then several cars raced by the restaurant, well above the speed limit. It was David and his gang with Aramay, a runaway from a hidden laboratory. Alyek frowned as, with the screeching of tires the lead car managed to slip its way down a risky narrow alleyway. The following cars he recognized, government cars issued by the chief, they where much too big to fit through the narrow gap and a chorus of screeching tires was heard all down the block. Alyek huffed irritatedly. This couldn't be good. He didn't want to go and see what was wrong he was pretty sure it was something he didn't want to get involved in simply on the principle it would cause him much headache and stress...plus he has having a rather enjoyable meal at the moment and for the third time that night, it was is night off.



Meanwhile David cackled victoriously as he looked behind him. The glorious sight of flustered government members. They'd finally lost them. He slowed down as they drove through a much rougher part of the city. The homeless wandered the streets and the apartments all looked like shit. David patted the dashboard of his car murmuring words of praise for the fantastic getaway. "Danger? Miss, we knew that coming in. The Chief is no joke he has an army, generals, and some say even people in the dark part of the city if you know what I mean, but all of us we ARE the dark part of the city...and there are a lot more of us. We know how to disappear in this city better than a chameleon shifter knows how to blend in."

"If there's one thing you should know about any city, is that in places like this everyone sees but no one is going to speak. Not if they want to keep their unmentionables" The latino kid added. "We're safe here."

David nodded, "And if what you say is true then you need us. Like you said....they can only perform so many treatments on one individual." He looked directly at her through the review mirror.

They had obviously misunderstood that what they're in danger of was Aramay herself. They brought a shark to sleep with the fish.




One of the guards spotted Alyek through the window of the restaurant and hurried across the street and inside. "Alyek! Alyek we....we have a situation."

Alyek scoffed and looked up at the man who so rudely marched up to his table. "Oh yeah? Why don't you talk to your boss about that, hmmh? Tonight is my night off."

The man glanced at Hunter and leaned close to Alyek's ear. "She's escaped. Some kids broke into the facility and took her away."

Alyek sighed exhasperatedly and looked at Hunter apologetically. "I'm so sorry, Hunter but this is important, I have to call the Chief for a moment, but I'll be right back."

With that Alyek stood and the two men stepped outside. Alyek drew his cellphone and called the Chief. He reeeeeally hoped he wouldn't be put on this one.

She looked at them, for a moment in confusion, then worry. The alcohol was making it worse. A lot worse. Much like how it didn't always calm someone down. Instead of calming down they just ended up as an angry drunk. "No. No." She hits the back of the seat in frustration. "That's not what I meant! They didn't just lock me in that room to keep me there!" She barks at him with a fearful look in her eye. "If you don't-" Aramay stops, dizzy. She was breathing hard. Looking down at her hands again she stared at them. Her fingers felt hot. Pressure underneath the nails made it feel as though they were going to come off. They were starting to bleed. A hand moves to clutch at her chest. This was not what she expected. It wasn't like the other times.

"Unless you have a basement with a strong door or some-" She stops again, coughing up a fit. Her chest was hurting, it was doing more than simply hurting. She was having a hard time breathing. Everything was moving more slowly. It didn't stop the fact that David wasn't going to be smiling for much longer if he didn't have a place to keep her. "You, are not, safe." She pants, her body shaking heavily. Ara covered her mouth with the back of her hand. That familiar metallic taste was making her ill. They came this far and they had no clue. They thought that they were helping her, they were convinced. What they were really doing was digging early graves for themselves. She started to tear up and cry.

"You need to let me out...I don't want to-" She whines and grunts. Everything ached and soon they would hear sickly popping and grinding sounds coming from her. At this pace, they might actually be able to cobble together a plan that would involve at least getting themselves to safety. If it came to it she would rather bail on them than have them be locked in a moving car with her.

"Woah, woah calm down! We're almost at the place alright?" David pulled into an alley next to an appartment building that looked like it had been vacant for years."Guys help her out, now! We need to get her somewhere."

"There's a basement with a sidewalk entrance up a little further I know I ah....hide some stuff in there." one of the guys said.

"What the hell is happening to her?" The latino kid asked.

"It doesn't matter right now." David and the two others helped Aramay to the cellar doors that opened up to the sidewalk. The two guys supported her as David pulled the doors open then they helped her in.



Alyek spoke for only a few minutes with the Chief, pacing irritatedly. He was quite flustered when his conversation was over however and cursed. He went back into the restaurant. "I-I'm sorry.....Hunter....this is an emergency there's someone that we need to get a hold of and since I'm closest to where she vanished to they're calling me on the job. But....uhm.....if you'd like you can stay and eat your meal and I'll leave money for the bill or I can just pay now and we can part ways...I ahm....." He looked at her and smiled. "I really enjoyed the company. I want to do this again sometime."

The lights down the street turned green, and the cars began to pass, spaced out evenly so that David and his accomplices could watch on either side of the street to make sure no one was watching them. If they looked across the street, no one would be watching them, pedestrians simply walked down the sidewalk and minded their own business.

Shadow Claw smirked from behind his black mask that covered half of his face. He wore mostly black, save for a dark grey shirt under his jacket, and his hands were covered by gloves. He watched as the car David drove pulled up to the sidewalk with the entrance to the cellar, and jumped down from the building that he watched from as it stopped. He landed without a sound, and no one would see him as he blended in perfectly.

By now, Alyek would have caught the scent of Shadow Claw, and if the General knew who the Enforcer was, he'd know the Chief meant business. "If Aramay runs or fights back kill her." Aekchart's words echoed in his head. And it was with those words that he moved quickly, moving from where he was given this mission to the city by using the moving traffic, following a strange female scent his nose had picked up from Aekchart when he talked to him earlier. He could only guess that this was the person to follow, since no other shifter he knew of smelled this way.

He quickly approached the alley way, crouched down low to stay hidden. He turned the corner and into the alley just as Alyek would be arriving. He only hoped that the Chief had told the Polar Bear shifter that he would be helped by a Black Panther.

Staying close to the wall and making so little noise that even the best ears would hardly be able to hear it, he moved closer and closer to the car and Cellar doors. From a sheath on his back, his right hand pulled out a custom made dagger that he had made himself. The beautifully made blade did not gleam or glimmer in the dark, and it was as flawless as possible.

His "prey" was on edge, and he slowed to a near crawl, now making no noise at all. He stopped at the edge of a particularly dark shadow, waiting for his opportunity to strike. 'Soon.' he thought to himself, watching and waiting in silence.

Aramay stumbled out of the car. Pins and needles run through her lengthening feet. Each step more awkward than the last as they tried to help her to the cellar. Her hips give way pulling her to the ground faster than she can catch herself. "What the hell is happening to her?" It was becoming agonizing knowing that they were so close. This is the longest that she's ever been able to keep with it. It didn't mean she would be able to keep hold of herself much longer. A smell stops her cold in her tracks. Her head snaps towards the direction that it was coming from. The light reflecting from her eyes gave off an eerie glow. She suddenly pulled a hand over her mouth, coughing again. Red tinted drool seeped through her fingers and onto the stairs leading into the cellar.

The doors shut behind them. She placed all of her effort into getting so far that she crumpled in their grasp once they were inside. In an instant she panics. For a second she thought she was back at the compound. A guard on either side dragging her along. Jerking her head to the side she bites into one of them then twists her head to the other to get them to let her go. Ara is on the floor in an instant. She stretches her back; each vertebrae in her spine pops. There is a chance that the two would find a few teeth stuck into the harshly inflicted but very shallow wounds. They wouldn't have too much time to worry about their injuries. She bared new teeth that were in the process of growing in. They were much better suited to bite into soft flesh.

A growl escapes her throat. The still changing Ara begins to turn herself back towards them. "Rrrrahhhhh!" Her eyes squint shut holding her in pain. Her head hurt like hell. The scar tissue tugged from the muscles growing along her jaws and arm. It wouldn't buy them much more time. The half-canine female lunges at the nearest one to take more than a few nice large bites out of him. She had already had a stressful time these past several hours and she hadn't been fed. It took time and energy to change. The rest of her skin was starting to grow tight. The more she changed the more violent she became.

Alyek felt extraordinarily bad for all of this. "I'll....I'll visit you again...soon." He said and with that he had no choice but to leave. He paid the bill and left the restaurant and strode very swiftly, following the panther's scent. I really hope he didn't just dive into the situation without me there. He has no idea about the girl he's after.

Meanwhile there was panic in the cellar. David turned just as he witness her bite into his friend, who would scream and the two let do of her immediatly. It was then that true panic showed in David's expression. The kid raised a head to his neck, pressing against the wound, she may have just missed the main arteries there but it still flowed dramatically with blood, teeth sticking from his flesh.

"Get BACK!" David screamed, taking several steps back himself. The one who was bitten didn't have time to run, he'd been too shocked from the first bite and suddenly found himself lunged apart. His coat was torn apart, quickly followed by his pale flesh as she took bites out of him. The latino kid bolted, tripping before joining David towards the center of the cellar.

"Holy Shit, man! What the fuck is she?! She ate him! She ate George what the fuck are we gonna do!" The latino sobbed, terrified. "What the fuck did you make us set loose David?!"

Alyek approached the Cellar, hearing the sounds loud and clear. He looked up to where Shadow Claw was stalking. "When we get in there we both will work together to catch the girl, Aramay. She's a shifter, canine type, fast. Whatever you do DON'T get bit by her. You won't be able to control your form and you'll be useless to me. I will distract her with direct combat and I want you to guard the kids and jump in to take her out with this." He handed Shadow claw a strong sedative, more like elephant tranquilizers, they would put her to sleep no doubt. "If she bites me it's up to you to get her where she needs to go."

Alyek tossed his coat aside revealing his outfit beneath. He started to yank the Cellar doors open and once they where open he hopped down into the dark, sword drawn. The smell of blood was strong in that cellar, it made a secluded part of him stir slightly and he felt the bear in him yearn for the hunt. He crept up behind Aramay, signalling Shadow Claw to go around the other side of her and cut her off from the two humans. He let loose a huff and a low bear growl, letting Aramay know he was there and prepared to fight her. His stance was professional, his sword loose and at the ready in his hand. He wasn't going to go full Bear unless she lunged directly at him and he had no choice to. His bear had the power to take on a face to face attack but didn't have near the speed he had on his human feet.

She warned them. She tried her best to let them know. There was nothing she could do now but follow instinct. If they wanted proof of the horrible experiments that went on in the compound they got it. Along with all of the unfortunate side effects that went with it. Gnawing on their friend partially acted as a way to take out the 'growing pains' she had to endure. Until the old skin split making her howl and claw at herself trying to remove the overly tight layers of epidermis. It never seemed to get much easier for her. Try as she might to stay on two feet, her shifting body dropped her to all fours. Her interest in staying there quickly dwindled now that there was a body who's inevitable stink wouldn't go unnoticed.

Her frustrations would only increase once the doors re-opened and a familiar scent wafted to her nostrils. Turning to face Alyek she started to have a fit. There was enough still there to make her loathe his stink beyond comparison. She bellows from the dark cellar and turns to make her retreat deeper so it would be harder for her movements to be seen only to find someone else. A new scent, one that she had noticed earlier who now stood between her and the two who freed her. There was no way that she would be blocked in and caged again. The thought made her hiss and snap at the open air as though invisible guards were trying to grab her.

Her movements were wildly unpredictable making it impossible to read what she was thinking of doing next. Would she attack one of them or try to escape? That question would quickly be answered when she bolts in one direction without even looking first. She was unbelievably fast but the last of the changes were still plaguing her making it hard for her to hit her mark. With jaws open she raked her teeth against anyone who was in her way. She tries to bite down except she's moving too fast and doesn't stop till she runs into something. Again she was off in another direction never taking a chance to stop. The remaining living friend would cry out in pain falling down in pain. Just as quickly as she cropped up she bounded away to another corner of the cellar. David would hear panting coming closer to him before a sharp pain rakes across his leg as he's knocked over.

There was an unexpected method to the dodging. She was avoiding Alyek on purpose. With the cries of distress it would be much harder to hear her movements. To temp him closer to them be it to protect them or to get to her. Anything to lead him away from the door. It didn't matter how good either of their vision or hearing was she was determined to make it harder on them to locate her to prevent them from laying neither hand nor blow to her. No more stitches, bandages, no more tranquilizers. She darts in a new direction. At Alyek this time. She wasn't going directly for him. At the last second she would drop down to go UNDERNEATH the shifter. Her body was too big to do this cleanly. She would have to displace some of his weight which was why she aimed so low. It wasn't to attack him but to knock him off his feet while making a getaway out the cellar.

Shadow Claw looked at Alyek as he talked. "My orders are to kill her if she tries to run or attacks me or you, and to kill the non-shifter prey." he stated simply. He watched Alyek take off his jacket and take out his sword before walking to the cellar doors. The sounds of growling, hissing, yelling, barking, screaming, crying, and death filled the place as Aramay started to go on a rampage.

"Seems like I'll have to kill her...." Shadow Claw muttered, smirking behind his mask as he stood behind Alyek. His wrist twitched as Alyek yanked open the cellar doors, fighting the urge to just lunge in and kill every thing in the cellar. He walked into the dark cellar behind Alyek, moving to the side quickly so he could see what was happening. All he saw was blood, crying humans, and Aramay looking for a way out. "Yep..." he chuckled. He flipped his knife around, holding it in a reverse grip as he slowly crouched and moved, slowly circling the room, vanishing from sight then reappearing as he moved through the shadows, heading towards the bodies of the adolescent humans, making sure they were dead with a quick slash across the neck, cutting off their breathing and blood flow.

The cold, calculating gaze of Shadow Claw then moved to David, and he moved towards him quietly. Then Aramay moved towards Alyek and the Cellar doors in an attempt to escape. "Kill her." Aekchart's words flashed in his head and he suddenly darted for Aramay, aiming to intercept her and stop her from exiting the Cellar. He brought up his blade, aiming the blade to do a quick slice to the side of her neck, then go down to cut her leg, then back to thrust into her chest. If he had timed it right and Aramay didn't fight back, he would at least incapacitate her, and at the most kill her. However, if Aramay did react and he couldn't get the cuts in, he would let out a fierce Panther roar as he then aimed to slam into her side, bringing his blade in between her mouth and his arms and body, making sure that she wouldn't be able to bite with out getting cut.

Hunter sighs and makes her way out of the restaurant, shoving her hands in her pockets, she headed back the way they came, the building she called home could clearly be seen in the distance. As she crossed the street and came to the familiar dark alley, she shifted into her animal form, looking around thoughtfully. She moved lazily, her gaze traveling across the asphalt and towards the now, a lot closer, brick building.

She came up a few yards closer to the building when her ears perked up. The little red fox, craned her head around towards the sound she could hear. It was the dreadful sound of snarling and cries of pain, and it was only a few blocks down another alley that lead off into god knows where. She hesitated, wondering if she should go see what was happening, but she resisted for now, she would hate to get caught up in something.

But the cries grew louder, and she winced. Fights didn't happen all too often, but this hardly sounded like a fight. She retraced her steps going back to where she stood right beside the different alley that tunneled off. She clenched her jaws, looking around to hear the dead silence behind her and the bellows up ahead. She finally willed herself to move forward to see what was happening. The sounds faded but seemed closer than before. The walls of the different back street were lined with wall weeds, and other plant life.

She turned a few more corners through the maze, following the sound of what seemed to be a large animal, and a few humans around and there she could see was a doorway to a cellar of some kind, and in it stood a very familiar man. It had to be Alyek. It was Alyek. She stood out in the open, but tried to blend in with the shadows just in case this was serious, but it had to be, the man who had whispered something to Alyek seemed nervous, it made Hunter herself feel nervous, if it wasn't bad why would they need a general?

Aramay didn't expect Shadow to come out of nowhere to strike her down. His intent was clear making her jerk in a desperate attempt to get out of the way at the last second. His blade still managed to meet their marks and his body slam did more than simply knock the wind out of her. She would look at him with nothing but complete shock in her eyes as the side of her chest gave until she hit the wall and then the stairs. Unable to tell what's up or down her back legs just so happened to propel her to the entrance of the cellar but there she was unable to go any further. The damage done to her was worse than she could simply shake off or continue her attempts to flee again.

She started to curl up and writhe holding at her bleeding neck while making the worst sounds imaginable. With all the noise it was bound to attract attention. It looked like he may have cut a little too deep. Before too long her yelping turned to burbling gagging and labored wheezing. Her eyes which previously darted around during her flailing were now looking off into the distance as a blank stare. Her tightly curled body shook with each struggling breath as blood drooled from the corners of her mouth. The ruthless enforcer's plan worked too well.

Her eyes would pick up on a small form. It was around the size of a cat or raccoon at first guess in her mind. Hunter would see the 'large animal', a canine of sorts squirming about on its back before, and if she could see that it was bleeding. The poor thing wasn't simply in distress, it looked like it was dying horribly attempting to reach out for help until the noises it made turned guttural then wheezing. It would stop reacting to Alyek being near it without putting up a fight nor a struggle. It was something someone would very likely not have seen before and yet soon as it was happening they would know that it was not going to recover from whatever had happened to it.

"You MORON!" Alyek's fist came out of nowhere and connected cleanly with the side of Shadow Claw's head. "You had to kill her didn't you, not even the slightest attempt to just CAPTURE her! Are you that incapable of cleanly taking someone down, you sociopath!" He grabbed Julius by the collar and shook him. "I told you specifically to back me up not barge in and take her down like a stag! She was VALUABLE!" He shoved Shadow back with all his strength.

Meanwhile David, who had fallen back, watching Shadow cut open his last remaining friend with his knife looked down by his right hand. When he had fallen he had landed his hand on a small cigar box, which had fallen over. The lid broke open and the contents fell onto the ground. It was a handgun. David flashed back to something his friend had said. "There's a basement with a sidewalk entrance up a little further I know I ah....hide some stuff in there."....a gun... David, in the midst of Alyek's fit picked up the gun without thought and fired several shots into the dark room. He didn't do much aiming being too far in shock and too terrified of what was going on down there. Tears streamed down his face, but even so one shot managed to make it's mark. A non-fatal shot hit Shadow square in the leg by chance when Alyek had shoved him.
