|| Her past ||
Most people know that Audrey was part of the foster care system when she was a kid, but most don't know her whole story. Nor does she really care to tell anyone. Audrey was put into the system because her parents neglected her. It started from birth but was really bad once she was around 10. They wouldn't let her go to school, and often times would shut her up in a broom closet.
|| Scared of being an adult ||
All of her life she was treated poorly by adults. Even once she was in the foster care system she bounced around a lot, going from bad house to the next. Audrey's afraid that she'll never be a good influence or contribution to the world. Or that she'll be a good mother.

Audrey is a little odd, but nothing that screams out at people. She just as little quirks and habits that must be done and sometimes fails to make the proper amount of eye contact. Though she was tormented and brought down to a zero in self-esteem, Audrey has done well for herself. She's courageous in sort of a brash and undecided way, and laid back like any good companion should be. She often times struggles with the grey places in life and sometimes cannot determine if something is good or bad. Audrey has constant burning in her and is easily addicted to just about anything, from chewing gum to drinking alcohol. Though she is not currently addicted to anything, she's always at high risk. Now, just a sliver of the girl she was ten years ago, she walks with more confidence and is an encouraging influence. Unaware of the difference she makes in the worlds already, she is constantly seeking to do better with herself.
|History|
Audrey was born to a pair of meth heads that lived in a dirty old shed on the edge of the country side. She was not wanted, nor was she cared for. And most authorities say that it's a miracle Audrey is alive and well today. For the entirety of Audrey's childhood she was neglected. Her bubbling little self was not important to her parents or their business of making, selling, and consuming meth. She was just an accident that was in the background. Because of this she learned very early on not to cry. Tears would only put her in the broom closet and yet another meal would be lost to her.
But one day, after years of being the child that was always absent at school, the cops showed up at her parents house. It was then that she was rescued to little nicer hell. When in the foster care system Audrey went from one house to the other like she was the plague. Her first family had too many kids and she would get bullied. The second house was dirty. The third house had a mother who screamed and spat. And so on. She didn't have the life that these kids have at Short Term 12.
She was exposed to meth so often without evening knowing it that she is at now risk for becoming addicted to just about anything. Audrey went to little school and suffered from intense social anxiety throughout most of her years in the foster care system. Because of this educational struggle, Audrey had just gotten her GED before being hired by the Short Term facility. Though she's been behind for many years, she is very smart and took her studies seriously. She is constantly soaking up new knowledge by reading dozens of books and helping the kids with their home work.Though Audrey hated the foster care system when she was in it, she feels the desire to be a companion.
