Silvance took a deep breath as he stepped off the bus. He was finally in Helios City, the stage for the resurrection of the Devil King. He looked around at the large skyscrapers around him. This was a busy place, to be sure.

"I guess, I'm supposed to find the other Sigilbound..." He smirked and walked forward. "Screw that...I have no need for those people. With my strength, taking out these fools will be easy..." He walked casually to the eastern side of the city. He had made arrangements to have an apartment reserved for him. He didn't want to be living on the streets...After and hours walk he had arrived at the place. It wasn't a great looking, but it would do. Stepping to the door he check the lamp next to him and found the key, smiling. He opened the door, throwing his bags to the floor. "Finally, I can relax... I'm sick of traveling." He flopped onto the couch turning on the tv.

"Man, they made sure this place was well set up." He paused to think of the situation. He was supposed to find his opposing element, Darkness... "Ugh, I can't believe they expect me to rely on someone I've never even met...Damn, knowing my luck they'll be weak as hell..." He sat up, walking over to the fridge and grabbing a soda. "Well, nothing I can do about it. Guess tomorrow I'll go out to explore. Maybe I'll come across something..." He returned to the couch, and continued watching tv.

Cold eyes watched the boy going into the apartment. This is who Im supposed to kill? A job for a lesser demon. Astorite had been sent from hell 4 days earlier with orders to hunt down the 'sigil of light' and kill it. Some bullshit about resurrection and devil king. This child doesn't stand a threat to anything, let alone the king. He should be worrying about more pressing matters..like what part of earth will be demolished first. The demon, standing on the corner of the sidewalk outside the apartment in his human form gave a quiet cackle that sounded like nails being run down a chalkboard. Perhaps i shall send in some...preliminary tests for the sigil. Making a motion with his hand dark pits appeared around him, out of them four cloaked figures with chains strung loosely about there body and a hood covering there faces rose. "charking thelemo shalll kamratish" Astorite spoke in one of the many demon languages, ordering his minions to enter the building and attack anyone found inside. the four figures moved towards the building, there chains barely scraping the ground.

Akako Niwa pulled up in front of the wide, glass doors of the hotel she would be staying at until she found her partners. While her father owned a vacation apartment in the city, she preferred to find her comrades before settling anywhere permanently. Besides, the waiting staff would find her comings and goings odd and may report to her father. She pulled her helmet off and ran gloved fingers through her black hair before she remembered that she had pulled it into a pony tail before riding. The woman pulled out the rubber band as she kicked down the stand and dismounted from the bike. The beginner bike wasn’t as impressive as some of her others, but it was fast and light and made her feel sexy – which was the important part, after all.

A valet approached her and she held out her keys in one hand, now fully finger brushing her hair with another. He bowed and smiled as he took them. Her hair would not get any better without a mirror, so she picked up her helmet, nodded at the man who held the door open for her, waved off the bellhop who approached her, and approached the front desk. It took only a moment for her to check in and receive her room key. Once in her room she set her backpack on one of the chairs and unzipped it. The room was spacious, with a front greeting room for her to entertain guests, a bedroom with a giant four poster bed, and a bathroom with a separate shower and bath. The entire space was done in white satin with gold leaf and trim, which was a little too much for Akako’s tastes. Taking a seat herself she pulled out her laptop and gently laid it on the table. While it loaded she tapped her fingers. She had sent some men ahead of her to gather intelligence – find out about ‘odd’ activity in the city. She wished she knew more about the others like her, but with out more to go on she couldn’t ask her men to find them. Either way, they would be sending her emails with what they had discovered.

She shrugged off her leather jacket – revealing the shoulder holster with her semi-automatic and a black silk shirt underneath – and draped it on the chair behind her. She wasn’t exactly sure how she was going to find the others in Helios City – it was a huge city after all. First she would check other hotels and motels and see how many people and checked in over the last week. She would think about what happened next later.

Rynn was known in the city as the suicide jumping ghost as many would see her jump and then call the police only for her to vanish in thin air, some even taped her jumps, in the middle of which she just disappeared. She was doing another of her jumps trying to end her life so she could be reunited with her twin sister. She was currently on the roof of an apartment building, the edge to be exact about to jump...and once more she fell over the edge...

"A plane, three buses and a train.." Elise sighed as she wobbled into the hotel room with her luggage in tow. "I never knew traveling to this place could be so complicated." She kicked the door closed behind her and set her bags right at the door. She stumbled toward the bed that sat in the middle of the room and collapsed on top of it. She smiled and snuggled her face into the comforter.
'But it'll all be worth it,' whispered a gently voice in her head. Elise's smiled grew as she crawled up to the pillows of the bed and rested for the afternoon. She decided to take a tour of the town when she woke up.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seatbelts. We will be landing momentarily.”

Azariah Ashcroft discarded the announcement as unimportant and continued staring out of the plane’s window. The huge metropolis below him seemed to stretch into infinity, a city home to perhaps more people than his entire home country. The sheer size of it was overwhelming.

The stage for us puppets of fate to dance on, is it…?

Azariah sighed, sank into his chair, and moved the white medical eyepatch around his neck back into place. Why the hell did his sigil have to manifest on his face? A would-be surgeon can’t afford a damn facial tattoo...

After Azariah landed, he hailed a taxi and immediately requested a tour of the city. While it was obviously impossible to explore it all in a single day, he wanted to know his battlefield. It was not eagerness that drove him – it was necessity. Azariah did not like fighting. Any fool can fight. Winning, however… reconnaissance was the first step. Ponds, lakes, pools. At the end of the day, Azariah had memorised the position of at least twenty of them.

One of those bodies of water – the one Azariah was standing in front of right now – was a clean, medium-sized pond not far removed from the city center. It would make a good place to stay the night. Still fully-clothed, Azariah waded into the water. It wasn’t cold – rather, it was not allowed to be cold. The water was made pleasantly warm, and it cleansed every single speck of dirt and dust on both his clothes and body.

Azariah wandered towards the middle of the pond, comfortably breathing from a small pocket of air encapsulating his face. A rather large yawn escaped him. Jetlag. He would have bags under his eyes tomorrow if he stayed awake much longer. Azariah carefully stripped out of his black tailor-made suit, neatly folded it, and weighed the bundle of clothes down with a heavy rock. He then sat down and initiated his transformation. All of his body’s moisture dissipated into the surrounding water, and he felt the uncomfortable feeling of his skull reshaping itself into a giant eyeball. As a medically-trained, logically-thinking person, Azariah disliked his nonsensical transformation. It was awfully convenient though, for all that it looked like a hideous space alien. He did not need to breathe, and while his limbs suffered from a frustrating lack of opposable thumbs, any one of them was sharp enough to gouge an eye out.

No sense thinking too deeply about it, Azariah decided as he encased himself in a block of ice. He was a realist, and his reality just happened to be one of demon kings and elemental heroes. Bah.

Agrimoth had arrived in Hellios City soon after the Devil King had announced it as his gateway this time. It seemed as if the Lord of all Demons was relatively uncreative, why of all places on this world did he choose this city? Anyways, now that his informants in hell had informed him, he was sure that these Sigilbound would have noticed already also. Before the fights begin, they would try to meet up somewhere in the city. It seemed like they had always attracted each other, it was like this since the first six, than the next six. To not rise as much attention as his Demon form would do, he had traveled beneath the human disguise. On his way to Hellios, he had grown bored, which proofed to be fatal to the poor mortals. A smaller city was devoured by the surface, sinking into the ground. The inhabitants felt themselves crushed between two giant rocky walls, beneath tons of dirt and debris. Agrimoth had sat in a nearby cave, watching the city getting devastated, listening to the screams of the people. He wished he could simply do this to his goal, it would solve so many problems. At the same time, should the Devil King manage to finally rise from his realm, he would have the trouble to explain himself. Well, he would have to do that anyways, he left his lord on his own twice already.

His arrival in Hellios City had gone widely unnoticed, at least when it came to recognize him as a person. Only few people looked at the dirty beggar twice, seeing only an unlucky person of his craft. There were other things far more subtle, but still noticeable, they were spread around the whole city. Trains ceased to function ore frequently, fragile equipment exploded, even though they showed no problems just a second earlier. At first the effect was, while widespread, only rare, barely noticeable. Experts would notice that these events slowly rose in frequency and especially in lethality. The death toll of traffic and similar things had quadrupled during the last month, since Agrimoth housed in this city. He wouldn't search for the Sigilbound like other demons most likely were, he knew that they were going to reveal themselves.

Ferren was resting in the form of a hawk, he had spent most of his day searching for the Sigilbound. He was resting in a tree that was near a pond, he hoped that a Sigilbound would show up. But as he thought about it, he realized the chances of a Sigilbound showing up were slim. He then changed to his human form and jumped out of the tree, he was then surprised when a human male showed up. Ferren hide behind the tree wondering if the human had seen him change form. If he did, he would have to kill the human. Ferren waited for a little while and the human didn’t seem to have noticed him, it made him a little depressed, he hadn’t killed a human in a few days. It was a new record for him, He then went back to watching the human. This man was strange, he waded in the water fully clothed. Ferren then saw the man change his shape, and when he encased himself in ice a smile began to grow on Ferren’s face. He knew this man was a Sigilbound and now that he got a look at the man’s face. He would be able to follow him, Ferren then changed into a fox and ran off.
