"......." Rin is the strong, silent type. He firmly believes that actions speak louder than words, so doesn't talk much and lets his actions speak for themselves. He talks slowly, with pauses in-between his words. "Don't run. I just want to talk...." At first sight, he generally comes off as intimidating, due to his size (Height 6'5" Weight 270 all muscle) and the ever-present fierce look in his eyes. Rin is very determined, and when he sinks his teeth into something (so to say) he doesn't let go."Like a dog, I guess...." Because of Rin's intimidating nature, it is sometimes hard for him to make friends. However, when he does, he is extremely loyal to them. He can also become overprotective, especially if his friends get hurt. "I just can't....stand by. Not while someone....precious to me is getting hurt."
One big thing about Rin; do not make him angry. He has been known to go berserk; he attacks fearlessly, wildly, and doesn't seem to feel pain, no matter how bad the wound is. "I have no mercy....for them." Luckily, however, its very hard to make him angry, unless he is protecting someone.

"I don't want...to talk about it...."
Rin grew up on the streets of New York, his father being a gambler and his mother was a crack addict. The only thing keeping him going in life was his little brother, whom Rin had been taking care of at an early age. "Our parents were.....Ben needed me." At the age of 16, Rin dropped out of high school so that he could take Ben, his little brother, out of his parents house and harmful influence. From then on, it was very hard living for Rin and little Ben, who was only 10 at the time."I wish I could have.....done something more...." Rin found a job as a grocery store cashier and did the best he could to support them, but his meager wages simply weren't enough."I remember getting fired.....for stealing food. I...had no choice...Ben was starving...." Desperate for a safe place to stay and for food, Rin eventually joined a gang. He didn't like what they did and didn't even understand why the gang even did those kinds of things, but as long as Ben could be safe and happy then he didn't care. From this gang and a harsh life on the streets, Rin had quickly learned how to fight, even working out so that he could protect his brother better. At the time, Rin's belief was, "As I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, I fear no evil because I am the baddest mother f**er around." And so, two years later, Rin is known as the "Sleeping Giant" of New York City. No one dares mess with him, or especially his brother. "To anyone...who would hurt Ben...I have no sympathy."
Rin doesn't like to talk about his life on the streets. The only thing that he considered good about his life was his little brother. Rin dreams that Ben might someday finish high school, go on to college, and someday drag himself out of the hellhole they were born in. In this sense, Rin had high expectations for him. "I know he can do it."

Rin may be tough and intimidating, but he does have a sweet side to him, and in no way is he cold-blooded. Once one gets to know him, he's actually pretty kind.
