The guards leading me deep through the twisting chamber ways seem to know that I'm planning something. They are edgy like gazelles that a lioness is stalking, very aware of what is happening but to afraid to confront her or run away. Our footsteps echo in the silent spaces we walk in, clearly signalling our position. Finally I fall over, appearing to faint; Being pale helps because this is the first time the guards have seen me. The first man bends over and I punch him in the face, efficiently shattering his job. The second one rushes towards me, jabbing his tazor into my side. It hurts so much but doesn't effect me like it would a normal...like it would effect a human. My whole body burns and I throw fire at the second man, who goes down in battle. The last man drops his pistol and looks at me with fear in his eyes. I walk over and press my nimble finger on his pressure point, he doesn't fight and soon passes out. Pulling the bodies out of the clearing to hide is tough but I manage it.
Soon I'm on the road but I hear the footsteps of many people rushing down the hall and quickly climb up to the rafters and hide in the shadows. A hand pokes my back and I almost fall.
"Hiya." There is a girl about a couple years younger than me just sitting happily up here eating a bag of gummy worms. She has a pretty sequiny pink dress and long magenta hair that falls down in graceful curls. Her eyes are bright and happy, semming to invite me. "I'm Siren, I love gummy worms and this dress! The dress is a treat since it's my birthday!" Siren hands me a gummy worm and I stare at it like it's about to bite me. "I'll take you where you need to go." The gummy worm is sucked into her smiling mouth as she takes a break from her sentence. Siren talks on and on about rainbow things as we crawl through the rafters, she said she wanted to show me her room.
Everything about Siren strikes me as odd, her cheerfulness...everything.
Finally we reach a small opening that we both squeeze through. It's coated with dust, dirt, and only has a few piles of cloth in the corner; I think that's a bed. I think. There are drawings all over the walls from rainbow muds and with one look at Siren's hands and you can tell it's from her. "This is the saddest part," Siren moves a stiff covering off a window and when we look inside we see the electric boy. "His name is Fluke and that lady is nice." she draws a shape on the window with a dreamy expression. Once her hand leaves the screen it is a pig with a mustache. Or rabbit...I couldn't tell.
I stand there for a while until I see Fluke use his powers. His forehead is glazed with sweat and I want to help him. "Hungry...I hope there's pudding..." Siren says. Anger rises up inside me, seriously, that is her worry! "Shut up! You don't know what it's like for us, you think everything is okay!" I'm not proud of it but I shout at her. Siren looks like a lost puppy as she stares at me. "I knew pudding was a soft spot!" she wails and I put a hand on my head and sigh.
Suddenly the window clatters to the ground and I'm visible.
