Althya nods, taking a quick look around the immediate area. If what Layrn said was true, then the base really should not be to hard to find. Unfortunately for her, Althya did not have any connections here nor did she have any run-ins or information on the HF as she had not been an threat to them before. She did not feel that she would be to much of help in finding the base, especially since she was not familiar with the Omic area.

Sacura followed Laryn as well, knowing that what was going next might not be easy. Omic was a nasty place without Humans First's influence, but now it must be a true hell-hole. It was also the one planet that she had never wanted to go to, and also one that it seemed Silver himself had disliked, which was saying something. Silver had been able to fit in anywhere, from the surf of Venus' beaches to the ruined city of Bostonia. This planet was a scum's paradise. It would be better for everyone if it just ceased to exist.

Once they were on the planet, she looked at her communicator. There was a map on it courtesy of Hyuga. The compound was only a few blocks away, so before leaving the teleporter, she checked to make sure that her tail and ears had retracted. They had. Next she checked her pack and took out her two photon pistols, which she placed in concealed holster at her hips. Her two other weapons where also hooked onto a belt, but they weren't hidden as much; instead, she wore them as if they were just decorations. She check herself a second time, just to be safe, then stepped out with the others. To Laryn, she said, "So, any plans or will we wait until we get there?"

Laryn sighed. What the hell did they really expect him to say? "Yeah, the plan is don't die. I know nothing about this compound so I really can't say what the best plan would be. But one thing is true. While we're on this shithole of a planet we don't want to make a scene. We could make enemies here fast, and all of them with more resources than us. So just play it cool and let's do some scouting."

Laryn adjusted his jacket and then reached into the newly adjusted jacket and produced the smooth piece of metal, that was the hilt of his axe. He held it in his hand for a few seconds as if pondering what to do with it, and then he slipped it up his right sleeve, securing it with a bit of bandages right near the bottom of his arm.

"Keep your weapons on hand, visible is preferred. We won't get picked that way."

After that, Laryn fell silent for the remainder of the trip to the HF base.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teisha walked forward beside Kofleur. It was wierd, going here. It just struck her as odd that HF had decided to set up a base in the exact locale of a former Nam base. Well, it must be a coincidence. After all, a volcano provides a very good source of power and is very defensible if used correctly. But you also ran the risk of the volcano blowing up if somebody sabatoged the system for making it not blow up. If she remembered correctly, that was how they destroyed the facility last time.

She looked up as Kofleur yelled back at her. "You might want to move. Just some friendly advice that the teleporter won't move however much you stare at it." And with that, Kofleur teleported, following S-9 to Mars. Teisha looked back at the room one more time, and followed through the teleporter.

The trip was short but tense. Omic didn't have a very relaxing atmosphere, and it was already night there. The neon lights were flashing dimly casting the streets in a dull glow of different colors. Graffiti covered almost everything that the gangs could reach, which was anywhere that store owners didn't try and keep clean, and that meant anything not owned by a single person. The streets were nearly abandoned at this time of night. The only people who would be out now were gangsters or some other nefarious perp. But, so long as you avoided the gangs, you didn't run the risk of the "displeasure" of the mobsters who controlled the gangs. She had heard stories. None of them were good.

The group slowed as the compound came into view. It was conspicuous, to say the least. It was surrounded by a giant lot of blank asphalt ringed by chain-link fence topped with barbed wire. The compound itself looked like a fortress, with tall metal walls and the classic guard tower at every corner. It wasn't a rectangle, that she could tell from here, but it obviously had an irregular shape. But at this point, its shape wasn't the problem. "How the hell can we get in there without being noticed?" Sacura wondered aloud.

Somewhere in Omic, in one of the alleyways, three figures wearing black coats and gloves were gathered. As of current, they were next to what appeared to be a large suitcase, panting in an attempt to regain spent breath. The only one standing against a wall, his muscular right hand covering where his heart is, looked around through his orange-tinted glasses. "Did we lose that crazy chick yet?" he asked.

Another man, the thinnest and shortest, who squatted directly beside the suitcase nodded. "Yeah..." he breathed. "There's no way she would've been able to follow us here through the buildings and everything..." He glanced at the very neatly cut hole in the wall to his right. "Wish I had your lasers, Mick..." he commented to the one with the orange glasses as he corrected his black cap.

'Mick' smirked. "Don't cost much, Loarl... only about $48 Earth bucks..." Mick then looked towards the man slouched on the wall, looking very pale. "Hey Ima, you alright?"

Ima took roughly two seconds to form a reply. "Yeah..." he breathed so quietly it was almost silent. "Just... gotta... catch my... breath..."

Before Ima's lungs could be of actual use again, a figure landed at the end of the alleyway on two legs. It was definitely human, but it wore a racer's racing outfit and a narrow-visored helmet. "Hey, how's it going?" it said casually, its tone showing that it was a female. Even as they were caught by surprise, Mick and Loarl were up in an instant; the former armed with what appeared to be a photon assault rifle and the latter with two photon handguns. "Now, now," she cooed as her forearms lit up with a blue light, "is that how you treat everyone who bothers to say hello?"

"And then thrash us and take everything of value to us like a scavenger? Yeah," responded Mick, priming his rapid photon rifle. Loarl followed suit with his two photon handguns. Ima, as he was, couldn't even stand. And even though she wore a helmet with a visor so thin it was basically a straight line, they could tell she was smirking. The two blue whips unraveled from her forearms and laid on the ground.

"Okay then," she began, giving the whips a spin. "How about we fight for that case there, again? Actually, don't bother answering that." For a brief instant during a faster than normal spin, the whips turned red and tore at the ground exactly where the whips landed before turning blue again. "It's not like I'm giving you a choice." Then she dashed forward.

The cries of the two men, despite lasting for only several seconds, could be heard from far away.

Laryn looked away at some screams in the distance before replying. "Way I see it, we make them come out, or we go in. That simple."

He indicated toward the direction that the screams erupted from, and then looked back at his teammates. "We can either take that person's example ad start a brawl here or we can just plain bust in. Although we wouldn't know who we would be dealing with, and I might have my hands full, so I couldn't babysit. But either way, we gotta decide fast. If we just stick here somebody is going to start a fight with us. I'm a popular man on Omic."

Laryn wanted to avoid a fight, himself, but it was looking like that was less and less of an option. Security was tight and he didn't feel like fighting a whole garrison of HF with his left arm. Well, it was looking like they really didn't have many options any way you looked at it. He just hoped if they looked around a bit they might find an entry point.

"C'mon" Laryn said. "Let's case this place a bit and pick the best spot to get in."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kofleur exited onto the surface of Mars and was greeted by a small flurry of snowflakes. It was snowing, per usual on Mars, but wasn't snowing heavy. She waited a mintue for the rest of the group to pass the teleporter and she walked out toward the imposing figure of Olympus Mons.

Sacura thought for a moment. The one thing they didn't want to do was raise the attention of every guard here, at least not until they were inside. Once they were inside, they could easily win in the crowded hallways, if it came to that, but out in that open space between the fence and the walls was just a dead zone. They got caught out there, they would get cut down, no questions asked. But, slowly, an idea was dawning on her. She started to speak aloud.

"Hey, wait, how does this sound? I transform into my little cat form and sneak on in while you two make some little ruckus outside, just enough to occupy the guards attention or a few seconds. Once I'm in, I can knock out the guards on that side and let you in. From then on, it's just an easy matter of dodging guards and getting to the computer room Any other ideas?"

Gabriel dusted her hands, which was an odd act, considering that they were gloved (although this is Omic) before bending down to pick up the suitcase. It was black, about a metre in length and width, with silver steel edges. On either side of the handle were two large squares, which were actually 3x3 grids of buttons. She punched in a 4-button combination on the left grid and a 5-button combination on the right before the grids parted in halves, moving out of the way to allow the case to open up. Gabriel opened the case and took off her helmet, allowing her hair to freely fall to her shoulders. She smiled towards the battered body of Mick, lying next to the wall near his broken photon rifle. "Why, thank you," she said with a face that showed no malice. "It's exactly as I left it." She then turned to Ima as she placed her helmet in the indentation in the suitcase. It was a perfect fit. "You'll be okay on your own, right?"

Ima, who was just beginning to get his breath back, was still shocked by the sheer strength this woman possessed. In mere moments, she had totaled Mick and Loarl, armed with top-of-the-range firearms, with mere whips. This woman was not normal, and he would not try to stop her. He liked his intestines where they were. "Y-yeah, I'll be fine... I can take care of these guys." He took a deep breath, as he was fearful of how Gabriel would respond to his next question. "Why did you spare me?"

Gabriel smiled a little bit more, expecting this question. "You couldn't fight. I just want a good challenge." After closing the suitcase, she walked out of the alleyway into the main street.

Being a member of Humans First had its perks, even if she occasionally got into trouble for picking fights with the stronger members (and by 'stronger', I mean 'stronger than the average members'.) and had her Sonic Bike confiscated, but her desire to combat was not something that could be calmed by such mediocre punishments. From time to time, she got away with it, mainly because it was the other members that started it, normally by stealing her stuff. These were three common thugs who stole her suitcase where she kept her racing getup, which she really needed. Anyway, there definitely were benefits to joining them, along with the hatred stemming from others for being a part of such drastic, egotistical terrorists, but she didn't care. Such benefits included a safe place for her Sonic Bike, regular maintenance of it even though she preferred to do it herself, regular meals which, against all of her expectations, tasted rather nice, and a place to sleep at night. It was also nice to know that Humans First made an effort to keep the Omic base tidy and lively (even if it was a tad bit uncomfortable with the discussions the other members made about what they would do to Beasts, Mavo and Navis once they found them).

But one thing that they ever rarely got without any prior warning were visitors. So, who on Earth were the three people standing in front of the headquarters now?

"Who are you three?" she asked after walking up to them and getting into a defensive stance.

-------------------

The receptionist, identified as Aabha Manchapora nodded understandingly. It appeared that AUGER was in a bit of a plight. "Just for you, AUGER..." she pressed two buttons, "... I'll get her for you." The headset and microphone lit up. "Don't worry, I know we can trust you... hello, Deputy Commissioner Ayase Matsunara, AUGER from REAP is here to see you... he claims it is of high priority... okay, I'll send him up." The headset and microphone stopped lighting. "Just go up to her office. Third floor, door with a metal ornament depicting two crossed batons below a pip. It should be on its own." Aabha smiled. "I bid you luck with whatever you need."

Gabriel snorted. She quickly analysed the opposing side. One of them wore a lot of black and had red eyes, and she had a quiet, stoic disposition. To the untrained eye, it would appear that she was nervous and frail, which were qualities that a dangerous hell like that of Omic had no room or mercy for. But Gabriel was nothing if not an experienced fighter. She could tell she was ready to fight if the need arose. She was not paranoid and terrified; she was cautious and unwavering. The two photon whips lit up and fell to her side. She gave them a single twirl to build up from.

The next one, another girl, was much more colorful in comparison to the- Gabriel presumed- goth, with slightly more lively red eyes and bright clothes. She was definitely younger than the other girl, but Gabriel would not let up her guard. The whips flashed red as she lashed hard and fast at the ground before they reverted to blue.

And the last one...

"Tourists. Could you please help us? We're lost."

... was the one that made her realise; these people were her new prey. A devilish smile crossed her face the very instant a large cloud rolled over the moon, leaving only the streetlights to reveal one's way. Her whips changed to red as she lashed the ground repeatedly...

... before she stopped as she saw the male's bandaged arm.

"... you're a cripple?" she asked in the same bewildered tone of voice that a small child might use if they've been given a wallet for Christmas from their grandparents when they were expecting an RC train.

-------------------

Ayase Matsunara looked up from her neat, recently cleaned wooden desk at the knocking of the door. Of course, she knew who it was; receptionists weren't idiots. "Enter," she invited AUGER. She made sure that a chair was ready for him. Although, she was curious; what could possibly be so urgent on REAP's behalf that they would require the services of the Landium police force? Surely, they had much better partners and allies that would contribute much more to their cause. Or was the Landium police caught up in something that was connected to them?

Whatever. She was going to hear it from the horse's mouth anyway, so she might as well ask questions then.

Laryn stood there coolly as this girl approached them with her weapons already activated. So she was taking the bait. A large cloud covered the moon and Laryn gave a half look up as the source of light vanished. That was good for him. He was not joking when he said a lot of names knew him on Omic and one look at his tattoos and his bandaged arm and he would get attacked by twenty men.

But as this girl got right in front of him and commented on his bandaged arm he smiled. "Oh? Is that what I am? Sorry to dissapoint. Even though I beg to differ. Not a cripple, rehabilitating. Although, I can still fight you more than well enough with one hand."

This would be where he would normally produce his own weapon, if he was not being so cautious right now. Instead he simply raised his left arm and scratched his cheek. This looked like it could be a good fight, and Laryn couldn't help but smile.

Gabriel sighed mildly and recalled her whips, which coiled around her arms again. She placed a hand behind her head. "Well..." she began, "how do I put this...? Well, you see, I have a strict rule not to fight anyone who is not at full strength, so this kind of puts me in a difficult position." She crossed her arms in front of her, continuing to think. "If I attack you, then I won't have any satisfaction in winning, but if I don't attack you, then I'll probably be angry next morning for not having fought anyone."

-------------------

Ayase Matsunara was, and still is, a calm and collected individual. Known as the 'Cryosleeper' by many of her peers for her rational level-headedness (and in her old days, for being able to sleep through an earthquake once), she rarely showed any sudden emotion. Yet, with a question such as one asked by AUGER- the AUGER, may I remind you- she had fought hard to keep up her underface barricade. "AUGER, I would just like to say firstly that it is very bold of you to come here on such short notice and ask a question as significant as that. However, by law- Landium's law- and work regulations in general, I am forbidden from revealing any personal details about any of my workers, associates or clients to anyone unless they work strictly within the line of law enforcement."

She propped up her face with her hands looped together, suspended on her elbows laying on her desk. "In short- and please forgive me for being so brash, but I cannot put this in any other way- you could be the Galactic Aeon and I wouldn't tell you, and that's not just because of work laws; that's my own morals. If..." Ayase was about to say 'Nick', but she quickly picked up after herself, "the person you are looking for does not want to be bothered, I am obligated to abide by his wishes."

She then crossed her arms over her chest. "I will, however, answer any questions regarding the CHEsuit you may have."

Well, things were getting started. It was time for her to go disappear.

She crept away from the group as quietly and stealthily as she could. This actually meant something; her catish side didn't like making noise or sticking out too much, so she just dissolved into the night before any of them noticed, her own allies included. What she had really do was crept behind a dumpster and transformed into her true cat form. Once she transformed, she looked like just any other cat, sans a little pinkish tinge. While she would normally have been bright pink all over, she had found that transforming straight from human for would take her to this calico looking form, something that was useful for sneaking. Not as strong as her normal cat form, but not nearly as conspicuous.

After making her way out of the clothes that had fallen around her, she darted across the alley and onto the flats around the base as fast as she could. It had really started to annoy her, losing her clothes like that. At full power, she could have taken them along easily. Now she had to decide between her weapons coming with her or her clothes. In this case, the weapons took precedence.

The door to the compound was closed as she approached, but luck was on her side today. When she drew near enough to care about getting threw, the doors opened momentarily to allow someone out to smoke. It took her only a fraction of a second to launch through into the austere corridors within, but considerably longer to find a good place to transform back. It was a small room that held a number of Humans First uniforms. After changing back to her pure human form, she slipped herself in to one of the smaller ones and slipped out into the hall. She could probably find the security room before the other two out there were done making the distraction.

Gabriel sighed through her nose, although she was silently impressed by the boy's lightning ability. Her wires were quite conductive, so she'd have to stick to fast blunt attacks rather than grabbing the enemy and throwing them around like a rag doll. "Alright the- HEY!" Before she had the chance to acknowledge his request, the white-clothed girl suddenly transformed into a cat with a pinkish tinge. Worse yet, it was trying to get away! Did the girl honestly think that she could sneak away without Gabriel's knowing about it, clothed as brightly as she was? It was like trying to sneak a clown out of a Gothic festival. "Oh no you don't, Beast!" she shouted while dropping her suitcase as she lashed forward with her crimson diving whips which ripped across the ground directly towards the cat.

-----------------

Ayase pressed against her desk with her index finger and a large, rectangular hologram appeared along with a keyboard hologram in front of Ayase. "Give me a moment," she asked of the android before flipping the screen 180 degrees so that AUGER could see what she was uploading. After a few seconds, a video of the CHEsuit appeared on the screen. It was walking passively down the street, casually flinging aside the photon rifle-equipped soldiers that were trying desperately to disable its legs and arms, but the mech's build would have none of that. "This is the CHEsuit," Ayase explained before the video changed to that of a CHEsuit being bombarded by aerial bombs, but escaped unscratched.

"It's designed to be used by single soldiers to combat armies, jets or tanks. It boasts superior physical strength, enough to lift a tank, and impressive firepower. A turret on either side of the cockpit for general use, energy blades in the forearms for the particularly stubborn enemies and a smaller turret underneath the cockpit for the faster enemies. But it's real strength is in its armor. It's the kind of metal you'd expect to find with the people that founded the Solar Empire army. It weighs very little, disperses heat instantaneously, is completely unaffected by EMPs and is resistant to almost any kinetic force in man or nature. It's not without its flaws, though." Another video appeared showing the CHEsuit trying to fire at a fighter jet and missing. "It's faster than a tank, but it's not as agile. The CHEsuit uses special pedals to move its legs. Only Ni- the creator knows his way around its technology, but it's still not very helpful when trying to apprehend single targets. Also, the armor tends to be a bit reactive towards special compounds, but you'll never find them unless the enemy was aware of the debilitating reaction."

Because she was throwing her whips at the time, Gabriel couldn't intercept Laryn's attack. It hit her directly on the chest. Were she wearing her helmet, the kinetic energy would have just gone out through there, but because she wasn't wearing her helmet, the energy was transferred to the whips, and they were shaken off course. They were not going to impact the cat. But despite the full-power attack, she barely felt it. Thank goodness for her suit.

"That all you got?" she asked, or mocked. It was hard to tell. Either way, the red-turned-blue whips returned to her as she jumped backwards after picking up her suitcase again. When she was about two metres away from the lightning user, she opened the case and put her helmet on. "Well, can't blame you. Using bare hands against my suit hasn't worked before. Not gonna work now." She pressed the side of her helmet. "Base, this is Gabriel. There's an infiltrator in the base... yes, I'm sure. She sneaked off in front of me... well, she has friends, I'm fighting them now..." She smirked. "No backup, as usual. I can take them. Gabriel out." She pressed the side again and readied her whips.

"I hope you're ready..." she gave her whips a quick spin, "... because I'm not gonna let up on you now, even if you are handicapped."

------------------

Ayase was slightly creeped out by AUGER's somewhat prophetic statement, but like every other emotion that attempted to surface in front of visitors, she made sure to keep it down. It wasn't that hard; she's been keeping up a professional appearance for so long now it's like an easy game of Whack-a-Mole. "I'll make sure to do that." And as he stood up... "Wait," she spoke in a stern, orderly voice that showed that she wouldn't take no for an answer. "For all I know, you could be involved in some illegal activity, so I must ask; what are you up to?"

"Warning, intruder alert. Warning, intruder alert."

Sacura winced at the blaring sirens that accompanied the cliched message. Any other time, she might have laughed at the message was the same as every other generic evil base from hundreds of B-rate movies. But right now, all she could think about was not getting caught. Luckily, that didn't look like it was going to be a problem. The previously barren hallways were now flooded with a mass of Humans First members. Some moved with purpose, others just milled about. Many looked scared or panicked. In this kind of chaos, no one looked twice at her. And that worked to her advantage, all the way to the security room.

The door opened as she stopped in front of it, letting her walk in to face two momentarily stunned guards. They, at least, recognized who she was; a member of the hated Team Silverose. The shock didn't last more than a second, but Sacura capitalized off it as best as she could. While the picked their jaws up off the floor, she whipped out her old pistols. By the time they even thought about their weapons, it was already too late. She fired off two simultaneous stunning shots, putting to guards to sleep. Roughly stepping over them, she marched to the control panel, then took out her communicator. She said into it, "In position, Laryn, Altheya. I'll see if I can't raise a little bit more trouble before you show up."

Laryn was still forcibly leading Althya through the blaring sirens in the halls of the base. He turned a corner to the stampede of footsteps. He turned around with a cruse and wrenched at the nearest door. Which, in the course of the alarm, was locked tight. He cursed again as he found the nearest hallway was quite a distance away. Damn. He had wanted to avoid this... He released his grip on Althya's arm and walked around the corner, facing the batallion of guards coming at him. Laryn waited a second and then calmly stretched his left hand as they approached quickly on him. Suddenly Laryn's eyes shot to the stampede, as if suddenly noticing them. His eyes never changed as his left hand whipped in and out of his pocket. A glint of silver flipped up into the air and Laryn joined his index and middle fingers and clenched the rest except his thumb. Making the shape of a gun. By now the guards were right nearby and were already activating their weapons.
But unmoving, Laryn waited for the silver to pass back in front of his fingers, then he pulled the trigger.

A blast encompassed the majority of the hall eminating with electricity. It was a signature Laryn move, the railgun. One that was taught to him by Silver. Damn it where the hell was Silver anyway!?

Laryn dashed back around the corner to grab Althya again and continued running. He continued to run, releasing Althya's hand, having her run behind him. With his now free hand he reached into his pocket again, producing his comm. Turning it on he yelled into it.

"Cura! Where the hell are you anway. We're in the d*** base and you neglected to tell us where the hell to look for you!"

He wanted to get this over. He still had some unfinished business with a helmet to get to. But Cura came first.

Sacura's comm crackled to life as Laryn asked her a question in his usual blunt, rude way. So she responded in the same way. "How the hell should I know exactly where I am? It's not like I've been here before, and right now I'm working on getting up some form of map. Ah!"

On a holoprojector behind here, a 3-D map flared into existence. A pair of black dots were flashing in one of the hallways, with a stream of black ones close behind. The group was moving quite quickly until the two red dots turned a corner. Suddenly they stopped, and the black dots, after moment, disappeared. One of the security cameras was now showing only static, but she didn't need to see what happened to know exactly what Laryn did. But something was weird. There was still one black dot left, so that meant that one of them had been able to dodge. And that meant that one of them had skill. Something else was was off too. There was a third red dot behind the others, and then a fourth moving around the base. She picked up her comm. "Laryn, one of the HF guys is still there! And there are other people who broke into the base, and one is behind you! Be careful! I'll try and get a map to your comm ASAP! Just hang in there."

Behind Laryn there there stood someone. She looked completely different from two years ago. She was older, taller, and much more grown up. The only thing that might have identified her was a white bandanna that was tied around her head. She said, "Well, looks like you haven't changed a bit, Laryn."

Laryn sidestepped the blazing red whip as he continued toward this girl. Right now, he had one goal in mind. Beating this damn HF member. Laryn didn't turn around as he responded to his new ally. "No. This is my fight. I already started this fight earlier but I was inturrupted. So this is already my fight." Laryn was now a few paces from the girl. And now he stopped facing her coolly. "You know. Under different circumstances I might have enjoyed this fight. But two thingsyou did pissed me off. First being with the goddamn HF, and second, you right now stand betweeen me and my team member's safety." As he finished talking Laryn's left hand started sparking with electricity, with the same technique he used earlier.

Sacura heard the sounds in the hall, and rushed towards the source. That had to be Laryn fighting! After all, there was next to no one left inside the base. If it wasn't him, who else could it be?

As she reached the source, she saw that she was right. Laryn was fighting the person who they had met outside the base. It didn't look like either had an advantage over the other, but it was about time to tip the scales. Right before she jumped into the fight, her communicator buzzed to life. A somehow familiar voice buzzed on the other end. "Guys," it said, "you need to get out of here now. There is a giant bomb planted in the generator room, and when it blows, the whole base will go with it."
