Sarcasm fit Laryn like a fish fit in water. It had been that way since she had met him two years back, and it was still true now. The fact that she had thrown some at him was a testament of how much he used it. But after the sarcasm was dropped, it was all business. A Navi that was hunted by the LCA? She would have thought they would put more time taking down other races before attacking their own, but it could be surprising what your own race could do to you. Bad memories aroused, she shook her head and found the Navi in the crowd. She remarked, "Well, your friend looks like she's getting to know her." Her eyes gazed around and found Ko talking to another familiar face, and she had to smile again. She turned to Laryn, "Hey, think we should say hello to an old friend?"

Before she went over to S-9, she closed her eyes tightly for a moment. Her tail and ears slowly disappeared, and she looked exactly the same as a normal human. While she doubted that anyone could recognize her as the girl portrayed by a statue, this meeting of former allies might up the risk of someone making an odd guess as to who it was. After all, how could a normal looking human possibly be a famous hero who looked like a beast? She ambled over to her old friend. "Hello, S-9, long time! How have you been?"

Sacura shook her head. That had been something she was sure the were all worrying about. They hadn't seen the pair of detectives in two years, so it was impossible to know exactly how they were doing. Of course, considering who they were, it was impossible for them not to be doing well. There was no way they could be doing bad; Amy had plenty of strength and energy, and Ash was just an all around genius, both physically and mentally. The only person that she personally knew who was as intelligent as him was Jack Tanner, and he was the CEO of REAP and the creator of various robots and Navis, even MUSCLE and AUGER, both of which were triumphs of engineering. Of course, Professor Hyuga was probably just as smart, but he was smart in a different way. And that reminded her of something.

"Well, I haven't seen them, but you know something? Maybe Professor Hyuga does. He was the only one who knew them before two years ago, and besides, he sent out an invitation for the old Team Silverose a few weeks ago to come to the Mygita University. He said that we should bring as many competent people as we could. I assume that means bring some friends. So does anyone know anyone we should bring?"

"He sent out an invitation? I never got one..." S-9 looked kind of sad, but brightened up. "Well, I'll just contact AUGER. He might be able to show up." He pressed a small button concealed in the brim of his hat, and a small mike popped out. "I modified my hat to double as a Silverose communicator. I could use my internal one, but that wouldn't be nearly as much fun."

--------------------------------

AUGER sat at his desk. His employees had not gotten much ground in creating original weaponry, and work was at a standstill. Suddenly, he heard a buzz behind him... on the shelf where he put his Silverose communicator. Surprisingly, it was on the channel he'd only given to S-9 and Jack. "Hey, A, pick up!" He reached over and activated the speaker function. "AUGER speaking. How are you doing S-9?" "Pretty good. Anyways, I'm standing here with some old friends. A certain Professor is proposing a meet-up at Mygita U. You should come!" AUGER chuckled. "I'll try to show up. Just tell me when." "I'll keep you updated."

A sat back. Finally, here was a chance to get out of this desk work and meet up with old friends. Just what he'd been waiting for.

Sacura nodded, agreeing with what he had said. "I take it you mean the two others here with us. You know, Althya and that navi you found. You have to be pretty good if you can escape LCA for so long. They might be about dead, but they used to be pretty elite. And Althya must have some skill, if you are willing to give her missions." It was true. Laryn was likely the strongest pure blood human she had ever met, other than Ash, and he usually held others to standards matching his own. That meant they were pretty high. She herself was proud that she could live up to them. At the start, she had been very weak, definitely not up to the level of the others in the group. Of course, that had been pretty short lived, but its was still important to remember where you started. At the risk of seeming overly proud, she felt that she had gotten strong enough to give any of Team Silverose a run for her money, at least before she had fought Chronos.

She turned out of her thoughts and back to Laryn and S-9. She asked, "Do you think we should get going? I mean, it'll be nice to see everyone, and I'm sure that the Professor wouldn't have called us for something unimportant. When he talks, he usually says something worth listening to, you know?"

"We're leaving now," S-9 spoke into his earpiece. He turned to the door and headed for the others. "I'll meet you on Mygita," he said, then launched off into the air. He could just use a teleporter, like the others probably would, but it's always good to have a ship at your disposal.

As he stepped onto the ship, he flipped a small switch near the door. It activated an old tracking signal that Jack used to keep tabs on his ships. Hopefully he could still sense them, and would decide to come out of hiding. He wasn't confident, though. He would've contacted them if he was planning on returning. From what he knew of Jack, he was probably settling his past. And that's tough to do when it's full of holes. But he had faith in Jack. He'd be back soon- S-9 could feel it.

Sacura shook her head. "Come on guys, lets go. I don't know why S-9 is gonna take to long way, but I see no reason we should, right?" And with that, she set off to the transporter. The walk was fairly short, but even that couldn't prevent her from getting soaked to the bone in the torrential down pour. On a planet as warm as this, that might not have been a problem, but Mygita wasn't all that warm this time of year. Dry, sure, but it was cool and brisk. Not the best weather to be walking in. She knew that, but she also remembered something; there was a teleporter directly in the university. That way she wouldn't have to walk around. So it was time to go.

She stepped out of the teleporter in a small windowless room that was completely empty except for the teleporter and a man leaning against the wall. He wore an unbuttoned lab-coat over black jeans and a black shirt. His rectangular glasses were perched in front of his bright green eyes that clashed impressively with his bubblegum pink hair. It looked like Professor Hyuga hadn't changed a bit. She walked over towards him as he motioned for her to go to a wall and wait. He wouldn't start until all of his class was here.

The receptionist, a tired-looking woman in her late 40s, had never expected for the AUGER to show up at her workstation for... well, ever! So seeing him in the cybernetic flesh was really surprising. "Oh, absolutely! If she's free, of course." She reached for the phone and was about to press the first button of the two-button combination to call Chief Ayase Matsunara before she remembered something important. "I do apologise, but this is protocol; did you make an appointment?"

AUGER bowed slightly to Aabha before heading to the elevator. As he waited for it to ascend to the third floor, he wondered exactly what he would learn about this guy. Above all, he really wanted to learn about this "CHEsuit". Was it really as powerful as it sounded? Only time would tell; and that time fast approached as the elevator doors slid open. His gaze immediately fell upon the doors of Matsunara's office, as well as the great metal structure of two crossed batons and pip designating her stature as police chief. He stepped briskly forward and knocked softly, but hard enough to be heard.

AUGER opened the door carefully, making sure that it wouldn't slam shut behind him. A chair stood in front of him, and he took it thankfully. "Thank you for allowing me in here on such short notice," he said, "but there are a few questions I need to ask you about one of your associates, or one I am told you are associated with." He paused for a second before continuing. "My friend informed me that I should talk to you to discover the whereabouts of the creator of the CHEsuit."

He stopped here, considering the situation. He was really just going on a lead from S-9, and if his information was incorrect he might be wasting time with an explanation. If she did know something about this man, though, he would be glad to answer as many of her questions as she could before moving on to meeting this man.

A voice buzzed out of an external speaker as hand waved on the small display in front of AUGER. Hey A.U.G.E.R, open the door already. My legs are weak and I need to sit down. He smiled. Nick had found the Cameracom in the exterior wall of the building. Any normal person would just pass by confused, but the fact that this man had known one would be located in that particular spot meant that it was Nick himself who had showed up. He pressed a button on the display.

-----------------------------------

Outside, a small whirring sound could be heard from the door. Suddenly it clicked, and a sleek looking MUSCLE class android stepped out. "Follow me, please," the voice requested. He led the three down a series of decorative hallways, eventually reaching a small lobby filled almost entirely by a desk. The android reached down and flipped a switch underneath a wall panel, causing the door to buzz and unlock. "My boss is waiting for you inside. He requested I give you these," he said, placing two small earpieces upon the desk. "Now I must leave."

AUGER nodded. "I understand your confusion, but you must understand that most geniuses think alike. I spent a great amount of time with my predecessor, who had basically helped raise my company from the dirt of Endro into what it is today, so I am prone to understand your mental processes. You see flaws in your design- as one of my friends did not too long ago- and must, therefore, feel the nagging desire to improve your creation. There's an ancient poem by Anne Bradstreet that describes just the sensation, my master had said." He paused for a moment before continuing. "My mentioning of your 'project' was merely an educated guess. Now, back to the point at hand..."

"The earpieces I gave you and the nature of this meeting are closely interwound. If you look at the small decal on the outside of the communicators you'll see the letters S and R engraved in the side. I probably don't have to explain what this means to a man of your mental capacity. So my proposition should be clear: If you decide to help Silverose, I will pass the funding, resources, and manufacturing site you'll need for your 'project' to you. In addition, I offer you an executive position at REAP, if you so choose, and an 80% profit on any robotics you design for the company. However, if you do not decide to help, I am not permitted to fill you in much more on the nature of our new mission." Once again, he paused. "However, I should let you know that it involves Humans First to a great extent. You know how it will effect our occupations and overall livelihoods should they succeed."

Nicholas, Elsa and MAGNUS looked around the room, MAGNUS looking... well, like a robot, Elsa looked kind of intrigued, but Nick looked as bored as ever. "To tell you the truth, Ms Rose," Nicholas began, surprising Elsa. He called her Ms? He must've had a lot of respect for the Silverose siblings. "I'm just bored. And it's not like I'm going into battle. I'm just gonna stay here and turn all of your weapons into kitchen appliances. I really do need a coffee..."

And then he got back to inspecting the room. "Looks kinda plain... and what's with all the monitors? You can only keep track of so many at a time."

"I'm presuming that this was a repurposed security room, Mr Taylor," Elsa explained.

"That'd explain it." He looked at the table in the middle of the room, maybe 1x2 metres. "... are you serious? I can hardly even make a gun with this kind of space."

"Um, Mr Taylor?" Elsa called for his attention towards a control panel located on the bench on the edge of the room, flanked by six monitors, each with their respective computers. He walked over and started inspecting the control panel before Elsa fiddled with two dials, one marked 'T. W' and the other 'T. H'. It eventually rested on 5x5. Suddenly, panels on the floor around the table opened up and- what do you know- surfaces exactly like that of the table's appeared, protruding with the assistance of two arms which then joined the panels together to make a 5x5 table.

"... I like this room," Nick commented. "But what if I need to work with explosives?"

Elsa inspected the panel again with Nick before she found a switch saying 'Blast shield' and another switch saying 'Arms'. Flicking both, the roof opened up and a transparent solid material reached down to the ground and completely separated the table from those in the room. Following that, two strong-looking mechanical arms protruded from the roof towards the table. Both arms had a variety of devices on them (Nick identified a welding torch on one of them) and they had four precise-looking claw fingers. Elsa took out the two gloves next to the panel and gave them to Nick.

"Are those... neural interface devices?" He slipped on the gloves and, like that, the machine arms whirred to life, moving however Nick moved his hands. He then thought, and the welding torch became active. "This is incredible. I've always had trouble with neutral interfaces. I'll have to meet Mr Silver one day."

"WILL ALL CURRENT HONORARY GUESTS PLEASE PROCEED TO THE CONFERENCE ROOM IN 30 MINUTES? WE ARE READY TO GIVE YOU YOUR PLANS."

Nick and Elsa covered their ears as the loudspeaker boomed. "I hate those things..." Nick winced before he took his hands off his ears. "Well... what do we do now?"

Nick raised an eyebrow at Amy's descriptions of the knick-knacks. Ash must have had a hell of a lot of time on his hands to design these things but not build them. Has he built anything he designed, or was he purely a designer? Did he get someone else to build these for him, or was this just a hobby? "Thank you very much, Ms Rose." He read over the designs again. Knowing what the items were helped just a little bit, but the writing was still intelligible. "Although I have to say, I have no idea whether Sir Silver is a genius or not. On one hand, his engineering skill is second to none. On the other, he writes his designs by hand. Who does that these days?"

"Anyway, I feel we should get to work on the weapons. You and the others should get some well-deserved rest. We'll definitely get the weapons fixed by morning."

Nick shook his head. "No... not at all... too tired... lost too much sleep... don't feel well at... all... damn it..." Nick drank some of his coffee.

Nick grumbled.

"Sorry about him," Elsa said. "He's a bit too tired to do any work. I'll monitor the communications myself. Since MAGNUS is going with the Endro group, he'll be my eyes and ears," she picked up the spherical droid and smiled at it like a pet, "and he'll do a damn good job, right?"

After MAGNUS' insistent nodding, she placed it down and let it roll over to the Endro group. "Swell. Don't worry too much about him; he's fully charged and he rarely requires maintenance. In the event that something does happen to him, I'd prefer it if you'd bring him back here after all's well and done. I don't like other people touching MAGNUS." She walked over to Hyuga. "Now, shall we'll go to the communications room?" she asked.

--------------------------------------------------------

Gabriel raised an eyebrow. "I... think so..." Then her eyes widened. "Wait, I fought someone!? Oh no, are they okay!? I'd hate it if I nearly crippled someone!"
