Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Born as a noble with the blood of a noble yet sired with a commoner, Alistair has the benefits and negatives of both worlds. Alistair has a regal air about himself that can inspire. His charismatic and kind deposition makes him a person people respect and admire. Alistair is well educated as a royal and use his intelligence where he can to aid him from the mundane to most difficult tasks. Alistair's sense of humor has favored wit witty and dry humor befitting his intelligence, though the latter often leaves others perplexed. Alistair does have a sense of pride for his intelligence and his people.

Yet his commoner roots keep him balanced with humility, empathy and love for all walks of life. His relations with the Onyx Clan and their culture and customs has given him an different outlook on the life people raised him to live. As such Alistair finds it difficult to balance the life of a leader everyone expects with the desires to follow his Clan's ways. But none the less Alistair takes it in stride one day at a time. One thing he inherited from his commoner roots was his lower tolerance of dishonorable people. While there are rare exceptions Alistair does not tolerate these types of people. Though when it comes to a fight Alistair has one advantage, he's willing to compromise his honor fight dirty to survive. He won't kill prisoners or commit atrocities, but he won't hesitate to sucker punch you, for example, if it means wining. It should also be of note that Alistair has bad experience with betrayal, one which lead to great tragedy in life . As such he considers betrayal a very serious crime, especially against himself.

As a man who is a natural peaceful person Alistair is an enthusiast about military and combat matters. It has served him well in the position he found himself in and his intelligence and experience over the years has molded him a strong fighter and military leader.

Likes: The Finer things of life, military strategy, combat, his ship, his Clan

Dislikes: The Velicore Empire, betrayal, infidelity, the inquisition,

Goals: Free his country, defeat the Velicore Empire,

Skills: Alistair is skilled in the arts of statecraft and politics as befit of a noble. However those have very little use when running a military rebellion against an empire. He is a trained negotiator in economic and diplomatic affairs and can make good deals or settle a crisis with words alone.

Alistair's skill in military tactics are highly advanced thanks to his studies at the Velecore Imperial War Academy. Be it in a navel or land battle if Alistair takes command, his strategic mind can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Alistair is also skilled in personal combat from guns to swords and hand to hand combat. Make no mistake, this noble isn't your typical papered prat, he is a well trained, pull no punches, honor out the window when necessary to win a fight kind of fighter. Though a good shot Alistair superior at close range with a sword or hand to hand combat.

Possessions:

Weapons:

-Soul and Shadow: A pair of twin pistols out of a set of four, these revolvers once belonged to Alistair's mother and were bequeathed to him by his aunts after his mother's death. The pistols are of elegant Oynx Clan craftsmanship and their legacy spans many generations. To own them is considered a great honor as they are symbols of a great leader and warrior in the Onyx Clan. It is traditional for the owner to make their own bullets for the gun, a tradition Alistair has continued since.

- Onyx Lotus: Made in the Easter Lands, Onyx Lotus is an elegant and deadly weapon in the hands of a trained swordsman. Most Witch's out of tradition prefer their weapons crafted from their own kind but exceptions have been made. Onyx Lotus was made for Alistair not long after fleeing from Ardenfall at his Aunt's request. While different in form and technique from the swords he was used to using Alistair adapted and the sword is now a deadly tool in his possessions.

Items:
-Lunar Watch: Gifted to him at a young age this pocket watch belonged to Alistair's mother. The watch is made of silver with an ornate lunar design and amethysts. The numbers are written in the witch language but for Alistair his ability to read it the language means he has no problem when telling time with the watch.

-Witch Lore: In addition to his own material, Alistair inherited a vast set of Witch texts and artifacts after his mother's death. From books and scrolls to precious artifacts and weapons, the great collection occupies quite a few shelves in his quarters.

Family:

Duke Leon Galloway – Father – Deceased

Duchess Isa Galloway – Mother – Deceased

Ember Lumina – Aunt – Alive

Shade Lumina – Aunt – Alive

History: For most of Alistair's life it was both happy and comfortable as the son of a Duke and witch. Yes a witch, for while Leon Galloway was a Duke, Alistair's mother Isa had been a commoner descendant of a line of witches and warlocks. While evidence of magic does not exist it didn't stop the superstitious from believing in it and some from practicing it. Isa had been a part of an old clan of witches when she meet Leon. Though they were considered outcasts and shunned when their nature was revealed Leon cared for Isa because who she was and disregarded her heritage in favor of love.

This caused a stir among many nobles whom respected Leon when he married Isa due to her commoner upbringing more so her witch heritage, the latter which was they were able to keep a secret from society unlike the the former. It did effect Isa's relationship among the nobility for a time but being a raised as a strong women she was hardly effected. Two years after their marriage Alistair was born, producing an heir for the Galloway house and Luminia family. For Alistair being raised as the son of a Duke had it's perks and it's burdens. He had access anything he could ever want and lived a comfortable life of luxury. Yet he had to deal with the demands of a noble such as proper etiquette, studies and public image were always instilled in him. Alistair's mother on the other hand took to educating him in the secret ways of their clan, which he was took to with enthusiasm. Though he had to keep such practices secret Alistair learned the customs and practices of The Onyx Clan from the history of the witch clans, their hidden rituals, beliefs and how to read, write and speak Enochian.

As he became older Alistair took more responsibilities a noble was expected to do. Traveling with his father to other houses lands to maintain relations and take part in many negotiations during such times. Alistair would also personally travel abroad to the Far East lands to make allies with the people there. Domestically he had a more hands on interaction with his people and their daily life and problems, allow him to develop a greater relationship with them. Though while he was a good statesman Alistair felt a desire to pursue a broader military education. Alistair's homeland of Ardenfell was part of the Velicore Empire and many of the noble houses whom were part of this empire had their own military separate from the Imperial military. For Alistiar his desire to improve his military mind was two fold, the first reason was his own general enthusiasm for the military and the second was the inter house conflicts which sometimes turned violent.

Though his father insured he had been educated in military stratify and personal combat, of which he also received from his mother, Alistair chose to apply for the Velicore Royal Military Academy. Upon turning eighteen Alistair departed for his tenure at the academy. It wasn't easy to say the least, the ridged study regiment and and military structure went against Alistair's nature. Thankfully the education Alistair received beforehand lessened the burden to a degree. Alistair's natural charisma also made it easy to befriend other students of the academy, though a few were less than friendly. One was Alfonso D'Aramitz Hargrave, the son of Vernon Hargrave who's house was a bitter rival of Alistair's. Needless to say Alistair couldn't stand the pompous prat.

Alistair didn't allow the Hargrave heir to provoke him and focused on his studies. But one area they came to clash, albeit one sidedly, was over the afflictions of one Ingrid Tasandorf. Ingrid was a beautiful, smart and well loved lady who attended the academy with her brother as per her family house traditions. As her house was of great prominence many men sought to court and marry her to grant them a better political position though marriage. But only a handful, such as Alistair, sought to court Ingrid out of genuine interest. In the end Alistair was able to capture her heart though his unique approach of befriending her. The two shared a romance that lasted though their final two years of study at the academy. In their last year Ingrid invited Alistair to meet her family like he had offered a year prior, which he accepted. However Alistair was unprepared when he arrived to find Ingrid was not part of house Tasandorf, but the daughter of
Caspian Lancaster, the Emperor of the Velicore Empire.

Apparently only Ingrid's brother had attended the academy with the house name. Had Ingrid done the same she would have been hounded relentlessly, or even worst, targeted for assassination or kidnapped for ransom. Though while he had won Ingrid's heart her brother Cassius did not like Alistair and her father was less than enthused. Though if Alistair did marry his daughter it would mean he could control House Galloway better, as he saw Leon's influence to be a viable threat to his own. Which came to be once the two returned for their graduation ceremony from the academy, during which Alistair proposed to Ingrid who agreed to marry him. Alistair returned to Ardenfall to inform his parents who were thrilled, though with some concern now knowing who Ingrid was.

None the less they were even more thrilled Alistair to have their son home and just in time for his birthday. Alistair was received a fiery welcome home from the people and on his birthday there was much merriment. It was then Alistair was presented his gift from his parents, a massive battleship built specifically for him to lead the Galloway house fleet with and maybe later an Imperial Grand Fleet. It was a gift Alistair absolutely loved and was eager to take out of drydock for her maiden voyage.

Indeed he would, but it would be a voyage many would remember in grief. A few days after his birthday Alistair awoke to the sounds of artillery shells and gunfire as an unknown enemy attacked his home city. In the first hour it was unknown who their enemy was, but then it was finally established it was a Velicore- Hargrave house invasion. Alistair and his family rallied their forces and fought valiantly but they were outnumbers ad soon their forces dwindled and broke. The final hour of the battle was fought in the family citadel where Alistair fought to reach is parents and try to escape. But while his father and mother were not to be underestimated in a fight even they couldn't hold off their attacks and were capture with Alistair following not to long after.

Paraded before their people and forced before their captures Alistair and his family looked into the eyes of the very pleased Vernon Hargrave's, a satisfied Caspian Lancaster, a smug Cassius and Alfonso and a very remorseful Ingrid. Alistair was shocked and when inquired it was found she did love him but not enough to disobey her father. Apparently she had been used to gather information on Ardenfell and House Galloway. She not only discovered their House military strengths and weaknesses, but also their secrets. It was then several inquisitors stepped forth and announced Duke Leon was a heretic for harbinger and allowing the practice of witchcraft, shocking the people. In his words he admitted it was true, because he loved his wife and would have her change for anyone, even himself. It was his last words before being executed on the spot, outraging Alistair and his mother and horrifying Ingrid. Moving onto his mother's 'crimes' and allowing her final worlds she looked to Alistair to remember what she taught him and to be strong, before going into the beyond to meet her husband.

Alistair was shattered, watching the death of his parents and unable to do anything to stop it left him a broken shell of a man. Under orders the inquisitors questioned if Alistair was a witch and offered him mercy if he repented. He was silent for some time, obviously broken, but as the inquisitors prepared to take him away Alistair spoke:

“My mother taught me, witches do not wish harm on others. They wish only to live in harmony with others. With freedom to practice their beliefs peacefully. She told me they only turned their powers violently upon those whom harmed or attacked them and I believed her. You have attacked my homeland, killed my family and worst, you have brought harm to my people. Emperor Caspian Varian Lancaster, as I look upon you I place a curse upon your House. For as long as I live, you will never be rid of me until the day I stand before you and strike you down for all of your crimes against my people and those for whom you have oppressed.”

Alistair made his statement while looking directly at the Emperor. Outraged at his defiance and a slightly worried, he ordered Alistair to be executed by traditional fire tomorrow and for the inquisition to finish rooting out the any more witches in Ardenfell. For many it would have been the end and Alistair spent a sleepless night in a cell awaiting his execution. Be it fate or fortune Alistair was rescued by a small group what was left of his house army as they stormed the jail with two unknown women. The two women were his aunts on his mother's side whom knew of the attack but arrived to late to save their sister or her husband.

They quickly lead Alistair out of the jail to a random house where they found not just many of the witch texts and artifacts but weapons and supplier, no doubt a hideaway his parents made in the event of an emergency. Taking stock of the situation Alistair found the majority of the people still supported him and were prepared to help him escape Ardenfell. Much as he wanted to stay and liberate his homeland Alistair knew he had to leave, so taking everything from the safe house Alistair made a plan to liberate his ship from the drydocks. When daybreak came the imperial occupation force found the people rioting in the streets, attacking imperial soldiers and fighting against their oppressors. While the Caspian and his children were trying to regain control Alistair's men and his aunts stormed the docks, reclaimed his ship and quickly loaded what they could on board. The Imperials didn't have time to react when the ship blasted it's way out of the port and began sailing away. With the people preventing them from properly launching their ships in pursuit and with remaining blockading ships mistaking Alistair's ship still being on their side, Caspian and his troops could only watch as Alistair escape with his ship eastward.

In the months following The Emperor was aggressive in finding the heir of fallen house. Alistair didn't pose a military threat but if he could rally the people then he would. Though part of him had to admit he was a bit afraid of the young noble's return. Six months later a batter crew of an Imperial convoy was brought before the Emperor and told him of a large ship appearing on the horizon. How it destroyed their escorts and captured their transports. Strange men in armor boarded and after subduing them began loading their cargo onboard their ship. At first they thought them pirates until another armored figure with a blue cloak with strange symbols approached them. He removed his helmet and told them to take a message to the Emperor. When asked what the message was the men told him, “Tell him, you will never be rid of me.” And the Emperor relized, Alistair had returned.

It has been almost four years since he had returned and Alistair with his small force has fought against the Empire to end it's tyranny and get justice for Alistair's family and people. Though road has been a long one with no end in sight Alistair's crew remains steadfast in his mission.

Ship: Stolen back from the Velicore Empire, the Dark Valkyrie is the flagship and headquarters of Alistair's Rebellion. Built for him by his parents as his twenty-second birthday/graduation gift, the Battleship was meant to be Alistair's personal Flagship in the Galloway House Fleet. She was built by allies in the Far East country of Yeman using secret arts by craftsmen of the country to give her a design and armament unheard of in the in the West. Considered the largest Battleship in house Galloway as well as the Velicore Empire, with a measured length 263 meters.

She sports five main guns (Three in front two in back) with 18 inch barrels and eight 6 inch batteries (four on either side) with ten flak guns mounted across the hull. Her belt armor is eighteen inches thick steel which is strong enough to withstand considerable damage during battle.

Two main engines tubes runs on either side of the ship where five engine ports propel the ship to 22 knots. Both the engines and other systems are powered by an steam power system using pure mineral water which allows more power for less. While the ship is maintained she is a monster in resource consumption, a problem that wouldn't be as bad if Alistair's people had decent facilities and proper resources to refit and rearm her, rather than using the ship's machine shops and obscure ports safe from the Empire's force. It should be noted that while the ship is built for combat her interior was also designed for comfort. In addition to Alistair's quarters and office, living conditions are afforded to all crew members. Though not able to accommodate the standard of luxury royals and officers have to the crew, compared to other ships the Dark Valkyrie has few complaints.

Though mainly a naval ship the Dark Valkyrie can carry both the ship crew and a small incursion force for land confrontations. Typically the force is would be an elite guard for the nobles, but has consisted of Alistair's Onyx Knight used in raiding attacks. A large main bay runs along the center underside of the ship where she carries a complement combat vehicles and weapons for land incursions. Years of constant guerrilla warfare has seen much of the Dark Valkyrie's vehicles come and go. Her current complement only consists of three transport skiffs for transporting troops and personnel, vehicles and cargo. A far cry to what she used to have in her arsenal.

Despite the difficulty of keeping her well maintained and ready for combat, the Dark Valkyrie is more than a home and headquarters for Alistair's rebellion. She is his guardian, his shield maiden in battle and companion until he dies.

So begins...

Nightfall, the best time to come into port when one wanted to avoid arousing suspicion. Unfortunately unless you came in at the dead of night you couldn't avoid those still working the docks. Such was the case as a transport skiff floated into the docks. To the workers such thing wouldn't arouse attention, if it wasn't for the fact this skiff was a military skiff armed to the teeth. As soon as the skiff docked the crew departed seven in total walking across the gangway to the dock. One man flanked by two women and mix of four armed men and women approached the assistant dockmanger, “May I help you?” He asked. The man leading them spoke first, “I'm am the captain this skiff and it's homeship. We are making a stop to resupply before continuing our journey.” The leader ship. The assistant dockmanager raising and eyebrow, “And your name is?” He asked.

“Who I am is not important but what I want and that I can pay is.” He said while giving the man a rolled up parchment while patting a bag jingling with coins. The assistant dockmanager took the parchment without pressing his question, considering the island residents it was not unusual for someone wanting to remain anonymous when doing business here. But the list almost had the manager's eyes popping out when he read the list. Mostly it was standard items you would find on a ship but there were also heavy duty military grade equipment listed here and in bulk. The manager looked at the man who had opened his pouch, “We would appreciate it if you would quickly have those supplies ready for loading soon.” He said with a smile as he pulled a gold piece out and placed it in the manager's pocket, “And how about we forget the name.” He added while patting the man's pocket.

The manager could only look at the man with consideration, he had to admit the man did make an impression. Suddenly the manager smiled, “Welcome to Muckingden Mr. Smith.” He said. Mr. 'Smith' returned the smile before the manager began barking orders to the dock workers, “Alika, Sandra.” Mr. 'Smith' called his two female companions who came closer, “Make sure our 'friends' don't try and swindle us.” He said. “No problem cap. Nice going with avoiding giving your name.” Alika said. The man chuckled, “Alistiar Galloway is a wanted man, even this far from the Empire. They say honor among thieves but always suspect someone's going to pull a fast one when dealing with them.” Alistair said. “Now lets try and do this quick, I don't want to keep D'Arcy waiting longer than I have too.” He said.

“Yes sir!” Was the reply he received as he moved to haggle with the manager. Truthfully Alistiar also didn't want to stay here longer than necessary to mitigate the risk. They didn't often use this port for resupplying but the situation required them to bring in supplies for their next raid. Hopefully they could avoid a confrontation this run, the last time Alistair and his crew had to fight his way out of a port it wasn't exactly a walk in the park.

Alistair had to admit, the assistant dock manager was a good haggler. Already they were out fifty coins more than what the supplies cost. But fortunately Alistair wasn't a fool and managed to get an extra crate ammo and two barrels of oil out of the deal. One thing you could always count on to even out a bad deal on your end was buying in bulk. Now if he could get those engine parts they might be able to bring two of the tanks back into operation. But the man wanted almost three hundred gold pieces per unit! Over three times the regular price, at that price they might as well have a brand new one made rather than bother to haggle for these. So with Alistair paid the manager for the negotiated items and passed on the engine parts.

Just after paying Sandra came up to him, “Hey cap, the dock workers just delivered the rest of the cargo. We should have it loaded in about twenty minutes.” She said. Alistair nodded, “Good,” He said while pulling out his watch and checking it, “Soon as we're loaded we ship out.” Alistair added. Sandra was about to speak with someone shouted, “Captain!” Both turned to see Alika running up to them, “Cap, there's a Code ship here!” She hastily reported. Alistair frowned, they had some tense encounters with the “Code of the Right” before. They hadn't been violent encounters but they neither side liked the other. Alistair would rather not have tempers boil over so it was best to be scares, “Great just what we need. Have everyone focus on their tasks and not give the Code a reason to get aggressive with us.” Alistair said.

Suddenly a gunshot sounded in the distance, Alika and Sandra had their rifle's slung from their shoulder's in a flash while Alistair had his hand on one of his pistols. The rest of Alistair's troops had also stopped what they were doing and had their arms up and ready. Everyone waited for more bullets to fly, even when silence returned to the world none of them moved, expecting this to be just the calm before the storm. But no shots followed and left the world waiting. “Now things are getting too tense. Get that cargo loaded quickly, and stay ready for trouble.” Alistair order. “Yes sir!” Sandra responded before she and Alika rushing back to the skiff. Alistair looked off towards where the shot came from, he had no doubt trouble was brewing and they didn't need to be here when it burst.

This was only reinforced when a few minutes later troops baring the colors and insignia of the Code began filling the docks. Alistair and his troops watched as they began going ship to ship as if searching for someone. There was no chance this was not connected to the gunshots a few minutes ago. The Onyx Knights were no friends of the Code and vice versa, but that didn't stop tension from rising even more on the docks. Question was would it simmer, or boil over?

The Guards seem to examine Alistairs ship with an odd fascination. They clearly recognized it, and even chuckled to themselves as they passed by. They had no respect for the disavowed Onyx Knights.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Guards around Cora's ship quickly turned to the child who tossed the rock at them.
"Why you dirty street rat! Ah'll 'ave your head for that one!"
He ran off to chase the child, in which his team followed to prevent him from doing anything rash.
A Second group of soldiers stopped by however, after the two had boarded. They curiously examined her vessel.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Guards at Mr. Stokers Vessel inquired at The Icarus, speaking of the Dangers Randall had dragged it through.
Their conversation was disturbed when a small child with a note approached them.
"Ah, another slum-rat. Whats that youve got in your hand?"

Arthur was stood atop the bridge of the Fidelis. He was subconciously marvelling at his own vessel. It dwarfed even the Onyx Warship in port. Its guns had the capability of tearing Pirate Airships apart in minutes, He had wondered how it survived Karjala, but its physique-- up close --explained it all. He then directed his gaze over the harbor, watching his troops comb out cargo, and extort money from the dock workers.

As the crew finished loading the last of the cargo onto the skiff Alistiar continued to keep a vigil over the port. At one point Code troops examined the skiff from a distance. Alistair could guess what they were saying or even thinking and he had no doubt it was anything but pleasant. He looked over in the distance to the Code ship in the port. Compared to their transport skiff the thing was a titan. The captain was bold bringing the ship into port Alistair would give him that. Alistair wouldn't have brought the Dark Valkyrie into this port, hence why they came in the skiff. He had told D'Arcy to keep their ship moored some distance away from the port and keep her hidden so as not to rouse anyone.

Looking over the ships armament Alistair couldn't help but snort. Sure the Code's ships 'might' be larger. But the Dark Valkyrie's weapons were much more deadly in comparison. If anything Alistair's ship had the range and firepower advantage if nothing else. Alistair didn't look for a fight or condone needless fighting but part of him would love to bring the Code down a few notches. But as much as he and a lot of his crew would like to do so, Alistair wasn't about to risk his people for something pointless as ego.

A sound roused Alistair and he turned in time to see several Code soldiers chasing after a boy who had thrown rocks at them. He was about to go back to his observations when he saw two figures rush to the ship and board her quickly. Alistair watched the two with a raised eyebrow until he lost sight of them. Smugglers, criminals, pirates, Alistair didn't care, it wasn't his business. But he did find it an interesting curiosity that he was tempted to investigate. When a new set of Code troops arrived to replace those who left their post in front of the said ship Alistair squelched such thoughts and returned to his post. They would have the cargo loaded soon so there was no point, just another mystery to remain unsolved.

Cora raced to the command deck as soon as they entered the doors of the Prydwyn. Her feet scarcely touched the floor, as she dashed weaving in and out of corridors. We need to leave Mockingden now she thought to herself, silently as she grabbed hold of the wheel. One of the crewmen looked at her as if she'd gone crazy, as she frantically searched for the launch panel. Her mind was racing so quickly she could hardly think clearly.

"You!" she said pointing to a random crewman and motioned to him to approach her. "I trust all men are back from leave?"

the man nodded, and she smiled. "Good, then we are off!" she said and pushed the big shinning button to push off from the dock with a loud thump. She smiled, she's probably being followed but Cora was arrogant enough to think she could easily outmaneuver The Code.

The boy looked up at the guard and struggled "Lady said to give this to The Owner of the Icarus." he blinked softly.

“All the supplies loaded cap, we're ready to depart.” Sandra reported as the last of the cargo was loaded. “Good, lets get out of here before things boil over.” Alistair said as he and Sandra boarded the skiff. As they detached from the moorings and fired up the engine the ship next to theirs detached and began moving parallel to theirs. Alistair looked upon the ship leaving with them, it was a charming ship for it's size and reminded Alistair of the academy dirigibles the students would use as training and academy events.

Alistair could see the command deck from his place on the top most part of the skiff. Regardless of their background Alistair gave a courtesy salute to as they passed them. Currently their skiff was faster due to being able to hit it's max speed sooner. But he had no doubt theirs would eventually pass them once it hit the appropriate speed. “Set course heading 1134. Then change course heading 1187. We'll head for the Dark Valkyrie once we're sure we aren't being followed.” Alistair said. The helmsman gave a confirmation and steered the skiff on the heading leaving Muckingden.

As Cora's ship raced away from Mockingden, the young child looked up to the guard and asked. "Are you the Owner of this ship?" they asked hiding the note behind his back. "The masked lady said to talk to the owner of the ship only."
