Personality

Metaru's personality comes from her past experiences. During her stay in the academy, she watched as her commanding officer was killed in a training exercise due to another conscript disobeying orders. She personally killed this conscript in a fit of rage for disobeying orders and getting her closest friend in the academy killed. She is very loyal to those who get close to her, and would never betray them. She comes from a family with a long history in the military or military-type of service. Her brother is a police officer, her Father is a General and her Mother is a Lieutenant who has never accepted a promotion above that because she likes training the new recruits. She is very outgoing when meeting new people but prefers to stay inside and read or play games than go out. She still keeps in shape despite her indoor hobbies and one can often catch her reading as she runs on the treadmills in the workout room.

Equipment

Carries two different knives that where given to her by her current commander, Dark, and her family.

One is a family heirloom with an ivory handle and an engraving of their family crest. The knife is small, about five(5) inches in length, but she keeps it on her at all times, despite it being off balanced and flimsy due to the blade being thin from being passed down, sharpened, and used for near two centuries.

The other knife was given to her by Dark as a welcoming present. Much like her family knife, it has an engraving on it, but this is an engraving of the Battalion's crest instead of her family crest. The knife is rather large and is more like a dagger or short-sword in length, but she wields it like a knife. It is pure black except for the sharpened edge which is silver from being sharpened. She prefers to use this knife over her family knife as the knife nearest the handle is serrated and the blade itself is sharp enough to dig into most metals at least a little bit.

She carries various grenades, but only on missions.

She also uses various guns, depending on the mission. She is best at using short-range weapons however, such as assault rifles or shotguns.

History

She comes from a family with a long history of employment in the Military. She joined at age 14, the youngest candidate in over fifty(50) years. The only reason why she was accepted so young was because her mother, a Lieutenant, her Father, a General, and her brother, a high-ranking police officer now and a Sergeant when was in the military, recommended her. She wasn't going to be accepted because the recommendations where all from family, when Dark, still a Private at the time, stepped in and recommended her as well. When asked why he did it he simply looked at her, smiled and said "I believe you will go far" before walking away from her and disappearing onto his next mission. She didn't seem him again until she was assigned to the First Wing.
