Personality
Cold, heartless, Arren is the kind've man who could kill you without a second thought. Not even a consideration for your feelings while you're at it. Heck, he probably doesn't even consider his own feelings. But this side is only seen once. The cold calculation is when caught in the heat of battle... Though he holds a facade of coldness everywhere else.

Arren is idealistic. He sees the 'Leaders' as just another excuse to lord power. The very fact that the Army holds the reservoir and chooses to execute those who disagree with them show the true tyranny behind the current regime. Really, despite the look of good will around the army, he wants nothing to do with it.

Inside, he cares little about others, rarely getting attached to someone beyond 'colleague'. Though, once the bond is formed, he finds it very hard for it to break. Thus, people who betray him who he considered friends hurt him, and despite his hatred, he usually will resist the temptation to hunt them down and end them. However, if they're slain in battle, his reaction is much more that of cold bloodlust. That look in the eye that nothing short of death is going to stop this. His or yours. You took something from him, and he's going to repay you twicefold in pain.

He is reclusive by nature, preferring the side shadows to the spotlight. If no one talks to him during a meeting or gathering of some kind, he doesn't mind at all. Silence is a good companion of his. This is so much so, that if put on the spotlight, he finds it very difficult. Except when decrying the army, though that seems to be a rather special case. He's almost like a young teenager when it comes to romance, and while you wouldn't notice, he takes crushes and romance very seriously, if a bit awkwardly.

Brief Description of Human Form
Average length, almost mousy brown hair hides the odd brown eyes that mark him Changer. Often wearing rough material cloaks and soft, closefitting material to allow free movement, Arren's eyes are often blank, not showing anything that is behind them.

His form is fairly slim, and while flexible and durable, it's obvious he's not superstrong from the first glance. His almost dimulative size allows him to seem weaker than he actually is.

The small mark on his left cheek is unnatural, and shines oddly in certain lights.

Brief Description of Animal Form
The small rodent that Arren forms into is equally as flexible and mobile as he is, and can quickly scurry through even minute holes. It often favours it's backpaws, which is a minor weakness when running, and rarely attempts to even stand still.

Human Skills/Abilities
Fast and agile, the shortish human form is a deadly combatant, and almost all of his knowledge and skill is in combat. Despite his lack of strength or bulk, he easily makes up with it by both his flexible and fast body, and his equally speedy mind. During battle, his eyesight range widens slightly, and he can spot and keep track of multiple things at once. Due to intense training, this has very few drawbacks as to quality of noticed things.

However, in converse, he has almost no actual skills outside combat or scouting. Talking, numbers. He can't even write properly.

Animal Skills/Abilities
Despite having poor eyesight, the mouse form's brilliant sense of spell, hypersensitive whiskers and good sense of hearing allow it to keep track of the exacts around it with little trouble. Unlike his human form, he cannot fight in mouse form, and often chooses to flee if confronted with anything.

Weaknesses
His strength is, while above the average for most changers, below what is achievable by a lot of them. Anyone who concentrates on strength will easily surpass Arren on this.

He also is quite uneducated, which will cause him to make some mistakes he otherwise wouldn't.

History
Born a changer, he would've died before his life even began but not for a fortunate occurance. His parents, horrified by what they had born, sought to kill him almost immediately. But they were attacked at that very moment by another village. As theirs was the only water supply in the area, or clean water supply, they had to fight off many for control of it. However, this time they failed, and Arren was born into a world of bloodshed and carnage. For some reason, small pity was taken on him, despite the eyes that heralded what he was.

Thus he was raised by the villagers that had slain his birthmother and father. As he grew, he learnt of bloodshed and carnage more, as the fights over the waterhole continued. By the time that village was defeated, he had grown into a young boy, and fled as the blood of those that accepted him, despite what he was, was sprayed across the ground. He wandered north, living, breathing, but slowly dying. He had little water and no food. Likely he would've fallen right then.

But, as chance would have it, he came across another dying man. This one through an injury that would never heal. Leading the youngster to the oasis, the half-blind warrior taught him as he slowly died out on those small pieces of vegetation. During those days, he was given the mark by the elder, though even he knows not why.

Once again, he was schooled in battle. Once again, he learnt the art of death. After his mentor died, the first time he wept, and he'd buried the man that probably hadn't realised what he was, Arren took the two oddly made blades the elder had carried, and restocked with water and provisions, headed out further, looking for something. Continuing to train body and mind as he went, by the time he came across town, his supplies were running low.

Of course, being humans, they immediately tried to kill him. Despite the several accurate gunshot wounds, it wasn't long before the now severely injured Arren rested in one of their storehouses, drinking their water as he tried to escape the pools of blood that he had left outside. Next morning, more humans had come from no-where. And forced into a corner, the Murin transformed for the first time.

A painful experience, Arren hid in the barns for a few days, resting before slipping into the room they held the two blades. Taking them back, he slew the new humans, taking his clothes before fleeing into the night. He never washed those clothes, and the red stains across their sleeves still remains.

It was shortly after that they he reached Aethes. And it didn't take long before he conflicted with the Army. Surviving the first experience, quite surprisingly, he quickly developed a hate for a majority of the other changers. Or indifference to their life. The fact that he was looked down on as a Murin only fueled his dispassionate ability to dispatch other changers.

Shortly after that, he began to help organize a band of vigilantes, called the Pack. Named Deputy, Arren wishes for peace, and to bring equality to the changers, so that especially the Murin wouldn't suffer for their birth.

He hates his own heritage in that way, and rarely, if ever, transforms. This is made even more so by the pain that transforming brings.

Rumors:
The dimulative Murin is said to be a killer previous to this. Those that have seen him around know immediately his affiliation with the rebels, and the deadly precision with which he weilds the odd twin blades that he has.

Some say he is here to spread death.

Attitudes:
He considers his leader to be a short-sighted man.

His transformation is short, but extremely painful.

He has an odd mark that flickers oddly in light.

So begins...
