What has he done? He looked down at the lever, then back up at the gate. "S- shes gone?" Dar'Jargo let out a sigh. If he opens this, the Thalmor will probably do something... and the nord would certainly berserk on him. "If either of you tries to attack Dar'Jargo, I will show no mercy." He tried to sound as much like a mercenary as he possibly could. Slowly, he clutched the cold lever and pulled it towards him, opening the gate.
Without a second word, Dar'Jargo rushed past the two, and down the spiral staircase after the elf.
She glared at cat through the bars. Stupid beast races... they're never trustworthy, a bunch of thieves! As much as she wanted to bash his head in, they still needed him. Wait... they don't need him. Between her and the faithless imperial dog, they could clear this entire dungeon without that cat. She curled her hand in a fist... that's right, her sword is over there. She couldn't do anything as the cat passed by her, and further into the ruins.
Walking over to her sword, she began to think. If the cat somehow 'disappears', she could kill the Thalmor! No witnesses, quick and easy... wait now, she'd kill her slowly, make her beg for forgiveness. She picked up her sword, looking into her reflection for a moment. Yea... just need to kill the Khajiit first. She sheathed her sword and continued.
At this point, Alice was looking up rather calmly as the giant frostbite spider came from the shaft above her. She simply put her hand up, with fascination in her eyes as the spider landed. His feeler touched her hand and she smiled, laughing lightly as she openly petted the creature.
While this was happening, the man caught in the web started screaming in terror. ''No! Don't let it eat me! Not like this!'' He'd struggle more, the webbing starting to weaken.
However Alice looked at the man, walking closer with the spider behind her. The Giant Spider lumbered after Alice as she walked, towards the man. It began to probe the man, slobbering and drooling over him as it did so. He let out a girlish scream. ''Your men are dead. I killed them. And you owe me, say, 200 septims for the damage they caused me.'' She'd then put her hand on the side of her 'pet' spider's face. ''You see, he is very hungry and you would do nicely for a snack. If I free you and you do not attack, I will allow you to leave. If not, I will have this one devour you. Simple.''
The man would nod and she would cut him free only for him to run deeper into the ruin. ''I am not paying you even one septim!''
Alice would frown. ''Wrong answer.'' She would command the spider to go further after him, but was interrupted by the sound of a man's scream followed by a dismembered voice shouting out. The spider hissed at the sound, backing away from the door. Alice looked straight into the door. "Draugr..."
Clumsily trying to pronounce 'Draugr', He eventually gave up. "Whatever it is, Dar'Jargo thinks that it could be guarding its valuables no? We may have the claw... but that alone will only get us so far. Khajiit suggests we go further down." At this point he began to grow weary, not because of the impending danger that lie ahead, but because the Thalmor and Warrior had not followed him.
With the assumption that they would be there any second, he recommended that they keep the spider on watch and make haste. He crouched down, readying an arrow. Anything besides the Wood elf would be shot on sight. He began to creep into the hallway on the other side of the door.
The 'draugrs' did not sound very pleasant, he would have to be quick and on his guard at the same time. It reminded him of hunting. He began to drift at the thought. What he wouldn't give to be back down there in the warmth of the sun, under the canopy of the trees... he jumped, nearly sending the arrow flying, when he heard the sound of the draugr getting closer.
In what appeared to be a burial chamber, the thief lie dead on the ground, surrounded by a couple of undead nightmare-ish creatures. This frightened Dar'Jargo, but he aimed his arrow carefully, waiting for a signal to fire from Alice. Hoping that the draugr wouldn't notice them.
