Thana has the ability to tame 'beasts' of all kinds, from kittens and crickets to manticores and dragons. She does this with her violin, playing music that calms the 'beast' and communicates with it to say what she wants it to. She can tell a creature that she wants to be their friend through the music, and therefore she tames the 'beast'. When it comes to fighting, she does not do it herself. She often gets a beast or two to fight for her since she has such a petite and frail figure.
