Earth

Danny started laughing before he said, "so your the one giving the Chief so much of a hard time. I have to say your rep is well known, Detective Stones problem pup. I really do try and tell the Chief to lay off sometimes. Its part of being a werewolf and sometimes we can't help it. But the guy is really stressed out alot. Let me ask, is it really true you tore up that one dude's face because he told you to sit like some commen dog?"

Adam

Adam noticed that the man seemed to be disgusted with Dani. It became even more obvious when he kept referring to her as "it." He wrapped an arm around Dani's waist. She flinched in disapproval, but didn't remove his arm or move away from him. He looked at the guy again.

"She's mine." he repeated.

The man had already moved on though. This time, he wanted to know Adam's name. Adam glanced at Liz and then at Dani to see their reactions. They both looked scared in some way, but there seemed to be another emotion in Liz's expression that he couldn't figure out right then.

"My name is Adam. This is my sister, Liz." he said, gesturing toward Liz,"And this is my vampire slave/lover, Dani." he said with a grin.

Adam was highly proud of himself. He seemed to be enjoying himself too much. If there wasn't a threatening guy standing right there, Dani would have most likely torn his arm off for wrapping it around her like that. She always seemed repulsed by any physical contact with him. She never seemed to like having him around in the first place, but that didn't stop him from trying.

Dani

Dani felt her fangs appear. She kept her lips shut so no one would notice, but hated the fact that she was at the word of Adam. In order to make sure that they all stayed safe, she had to go with what Adam said. If not, then that man would see her as a weak little girl's slave and the boy was just a tag along that didn't matter. She flinched when he wrapped his arm around her waist, unsure if she should let him, but knowing that it would be a bad idea to blow her cover now. She felt way too vulnerable in this situation. That man had too many slaves just bowing down to him. When a werewolf got on all fours and allowed the man in front of them to use it as a seat, Dani grew angry. She tried her best at keeping it out of her expression, but it seemed impossible. She leaned into Adam so she could whisper something in his ear.

"Get us out of here. I can't stand the sight of this man anymore. Get me and Liz away from here." she whispered only loud enough for Adam to hear.

She pulled away and looked at him. He nodded at her and turned to the man again.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, sir, but I'm afraid it is time for us to head on home." he said and nodded his farewell, then turned to leave with Dani's hand in his and his other arm around Liz's shoulders.

Laya was walking arm in arm with her tall guardian werewolf. Well, perhaps it would be better to call him everyone elses guardian. From her. He held her close to him, but not in a romantic way. He was transporting her to the pharmacy to update her "special pills".

"Kyleeee I don't want to take my medicine!!! It makes my skin itch!" She complained, scratching her arm as if to prove her point.

"I don't care. Keep walking." His reply was short and there were no more words.

As they walked, they seemed to pass a vampire and a... cop? Maybe another vampire? Laya didn't know, but it sent her into an instant panic attack, ending with her passing out into her werewolf's arms. Many people stared at the scene, but the werewolf simply tossed her over his shoulder and continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Artemis didn't look at him straight away.
"I don't like people making those kind of jokes, it's specism." She muttered. "Besides, you can't tell me you've never had crap like that from the humans?"
She sighed slightly, starting to feel a slight burning in her skin. That time was getting closer, she needed to keep talking to take her mind away from it otherwise things would get really weird between them.
"Stone's pretty cool about it, despite both our jobs being on the line he says I get the work done and sticks up for me. More than most people." She grinned. "But working with the Chief, that's pretty impressive. You must be good at what you do."

Nero watched the two walk down the street. He leaned over to a vampire slave, whispering a command in it's ears. "I want you to follow them in shadows. Do not be spotted for you know the consequences. Follow them to their home and report back to me. Go now." With that the vampire crept away to stalk the prey. A vampire lover? Disgusting. He thought to himself.

Dani

As soon as she was sure they were out of sight, Dani threw Adam's arm off of her and glared at him.

"Don't you ever put your arm around me like that again. Next time, I'll knock you out and leave your body in a cold, dark alley." she threatened.

Dani looked over at Liz and saw that she had gone pale in the face. She moved over to her and wrapped both her arms around her.

"It's alright, Liz. I'm not going anywhere. Your parents would never sell me." she said, hoping to make the girl feel better.


Adam

Adam chuckled as Dani threatened him.

"No need to hide your feelings." he chuckled.

Adam was disappointed when she ignored him. However, it seemed that Liz needed the comfort. Apparently her and Dani were closer than he thought. The girl seemed to find comfort in having Dani around. When the thought of not having Dani around came up, she had gone pale in the face. Adam envied being able to have that feeling. He had never had someone that he cared about so much.

He stared at Artemis for a hard long second before saying, “The chief found me in a fight with a gang. Apparently I brock there leaders noise in at one point and they wanted to settle the score. I had already taken care of them as I walked out of the alley when I saw the chief leaning against a wall. Of course I got on the defensive when he flashed me his badge. I was a free werewolf, for that matter I was rouge so I wasn’t sure what he was up to. When he saw me growling at him trying to be as imposing and threatening as possible he just chuckled. He saw how I handled myself on the streets and he wanted that, so you know what he said, he said, “Does the big bad wolf want to work for me.” Chuckling he started to trace a finger up and down the scar on his face, a habit he does sometimes when he is thinking about something.

Jasper hissed and kicked around as cops shoved him around down the street. He wasn't so happy about being handcuffed. The Boss followed Jasper, also handcuffed, but he was calmer and had a knowing grin on his face.
"How could you be so calm!? Did you know this was going to happen? You asshole! You want me to rot in jail! You and your lawyers will just get you out, but I'll be stuck in jail, despite having nothing to so with your crimes." Jasper shouted at his boss. One of the officers his Jasper across the face, making him stubble down the street.
"Shut your mouth!" the officer shouted at him. Jasper looked up, blood dripping from his mouth. He saw Artemis and Danny the kids from before. Jasper was sure they'd both like to see him in jail. The whole scene amused him. He started laughing at his own misfortune as the officers pushed him down the street.

Dani

The three started walking again. Dani's arm was looped with Liz's, and she even joined arms with Adam. She felt the need to keep everyone close as they continued on their way home. There was too much that could happen. As they walked, Dani had the odd sense that they were being watched. However, she assumed it was just a paranoid feeling and kept guard instead of saying anything. It's probably nothing.


Adam

Adam sighed and continued walking home with Liz and Dani. They were pretty odd, but he liked being around them.

"So..." he said, trying to start a conversation.

The two girls just looked at him and didn't say anything. He supposed it was up to him to start the conversation.

"What're you two planning on doing when you get home?" he asked.

Dani didn't look like she was going to say anything, so he looked at Liz.

"I don't know. We usually just figure it out once we get there." she said shyly.

Adam nodded. That made sense. Sort of. Do they ever go out and do anything? Adam had never heard of them going anywhere or doing anything. Just sitting at home and reading or listening to music. He started to wonder how they managed to stay skinny.

A few minuted later, they arrived at the house. It wasn't a mansion, but it was't some small house either. It was in the nicer part of town. Adam stopped on the porch as the girls made their way up to the doorway. Liz stopped and motioned for him to follow them. He smiled and met them just inside the house.

"Are you sure it's okay that I'm here?" he asked.

Liz nodded. Dani glanced outside and shut the door behind them. It was a lot cooler in the house. Liz led Adam into the kitchen where her mother was.

"Hi, mom. This is Adam. He goes to my school." Liz said and waited for her mother's response.

Her mom smiled.

"Oh, so this is Adam. Nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. Leiber. Are you guys going to be going somewhere today?" her mother asked.

Liz glanced at Adam.

"I thought that we could just chill here." Liz replied, keeping her eyes on Adam to see his response.

It was cool with him. He'd always wondered what life was like at her house. Her having a vampire and all...
