Dani sat herself on the hard concrete ground against a brick planter. This was to be where she waited for Liz. Liz had to go to school, and Dani had to protect her. However, vampires and werewolves not being allowed in the school forced Dani to have to wait outside the gates for her. Dani wouldn't let anything happen to her. Not only was it her job, but she actually liked Liz. Liz's parents were kind to Dani and treated her as if she were another one of their daughters, so Dani really didn't mind life with Liz and her parents. As long as Liz was safe, things were good.
Jasper now had to make his way back to the hide out before the others grew suspicious. He noticed a girl sitting alone on the hard ground outside of a school. Now normally Jasper wouldn't care, but he knew this girl was a vampire.
"You waiting for someone?" Jasper asked the girl curiously.

"Uh, yeah." was all she said.
Dani wasn't sure if she should share any more information. She wasn't entirely sure what was safe and what wasn't. Not that it mattered too much. Dani felt confident in her ability to protect herself and Liz if she needed to. However, she wasn't overly confident about it. That would be naive of her.

"And this 'someone' wouldn't happen to go to this school that doesn't allow 'creatures' inside, correct? You need to protect this person, right? And you won't tell me if I'm right, because you don't want me to know too much, even though you and I both know that I know everything already."
Jasper had a knack for reading people. It was mostly just connecting the dots of who what when where why and how. To him, it was so easy. He smirked at the girl knowingly.
"Now before you start bearing your fangs at me, I ain't going to hurt you or your friend. I'm not the fighting type. I just like to know things." Jasper leaned back, still smirking at her.

"Yes, you're right. And I'm not going to start barring my fangs at you unless you give me a reason to." she replied, allowing a bit of venom to seep into her voice.
Dani wondered why he had sit down. Was he planning on sitting there and having a conversation with her? Well, she hoped he enjoyed what bit he could get, because she wasn't much of the talking type. Yes, she'd respond when spoken to, but she wasn't one to be open to much.

Jasper was pretty sure he already knew all that he needed to know about this girl, but was still interested in hearing her say it. How would she react to this simple question. He ignored the vibrating of his phone in his pocket, waiting for her response.

"My name is Dani and I am here to protect the daughter of the couple who bought me." she said.
Dani heard the object vibrating in his pocket and assumed it was a cell phone. She looked at him, not sure if she liked him being there. He had a phone on him. His occupation didn't sound like anything good. He was another vampire, so at least she knew what came with that in case she would need to.

Nero turned his attention to the slowly dying vampire woman in the cage. He picked up a jar and stopped her toture before speaking to her. "A shame really to waste such a once beautiful youth such as yourself. There are consquences for your actions though." He splashed garlic salt from the jar over the woman. She shrieked with absolute agony. "This is what happens when you miss your target. When I tell you to kill even a younger brother you do so without hesitation.By the way your skin will not heal and you shall teach the new recruits on the importance of obedience. Guards! Take her away." Human guards dragged the deformed vampire away from Nero's sight.
"The stars tonight are beautiful indeed." He muttered to himself happily as he gazed at the night sky.
Humans called this free running… she just called it running. Usually she wouldn’t be doing this just while on a search job, especially when it was just a vampire she was tracking, but in a day or two she’d be in heat again and she needed to relieve some excess energy.
Just like every year.
Artemis stopped just before turning a corner, sniffing the air.
She’d been following this scent for a couple of streets now, where she and the human police had caught a group of thugs trying to chase something. They’d been ranting some nonsense about a guy but it was the scent that warned her they were telling the truth. So naturally the boss wanted to check it out… rather than let her go on the drug raid they had only just planned that morning.
Artemis somehow felt she was being punished for that time she’d mauled a robbers face. But he had deserved it and it was his own fault… he shouldn’t have told her to sit and be a good doggy.
The scent hit her once more and Artemis walked around the corner, checking the badge they insisted she wore around her neck was visible.
There he was, sat in front of the school with a younger female vampire. This was human territory, no vampires or werewolves allowed on school grounds, only outside. She would need to be careful.
As Artemis walked over to the vampire, her eyes caught another werewolf looking at a cat in a tree… a male werewolf.
Nope, you’re not in heat yet so don’t get distracted. You’re in enough trouble already. She thought to herself, walking past him.
“The idea is not to let them get to the tree.” She said out loud to him while she headed towards the vampires, unable to resist a little jibe no matter how hard she tried.
I swear if that little bitch is making out with some guy I'm going to loose it. she thought as she walked down the street, refusing to make eye contact with a single soul. She was walking toward the school, but there were already two people waiting outside. She didn't want to bother with conversation right now, she just wanted to find the brat and bring her home, where she wouldn't even get punished for ditching.
She walked to the local park slowly, and then she saw it. Bethany was there all right, and so was some stoner looking boy. Sylvie growled and stormed over to the bench where they sat, sucking each others faces off.
"Hello Bethany. Fancy seeing you here." Sylvie said with her heavy French accent, her fangs extended as she smiled. She liked to keep her fangs out, it made people less likely to talk to her. IT was rare that she retracted them. Bethany isntantly pulled away with the most scared face ever.
"You're going back to school. Don't even THINK about resisting, or I WILL slap you, no matter what your little daddy has to say about it." This wasn't true, she couldn't afford to slap her, but the look of fear on the girls face told her it had worked. She grabbed her wrist and pulled her back towards the school.

As she walked past he said, “Yeah your right, I could easily run down a cat, but where is the fun in that, there would the mess to clean up and besides I really do enjoy the chase.” Noticing the badge around her neck he decided to follow her over to where he noticed two vampires siting. If she was going to be apprehending a criminal he wanted to tag along. Chasing them down was a great stress reliever.

Jasper took in a deep breath and stood up. He smirked again. "Big bad wolf afraid of a little blood?" Jasper called out to the two of them. He loved to get himself into trouble. It was something that was engraved into his system. Deep down though, he was enjoying his conversation with Danni. And he completely forgot about his meeting with his boss. Jasper would be getting some beating for that.

"Do you understand the pain you put your father through every single time you fuck up?" She hissed into her ear with as much ice as possible. "He spoils the shit out of you and you can't repay him by behaving? Pathetic. You know, a long time ago you would have been put to death, just for being disobedient."
They finally reached the high school, but there were a bunch of people outside, all appearing supernatural. She pushed Bethany forward.
"Alright you have two options." She whispered into the girls ear, her hands wrapping slightly around her neck. "Either you walk into that building, or I strangle you to death right here and say I found you dead."
"You don't have to be such a bitch!" Bethany scowled, walking into the high school, many hours late.
"Cette fille est une chienne." Sylvie muttered to herself in French. She noticed the people outside of the building, obviously two obnoxious werewolves and two vampires. She loved a good fight, but didn't have the energy, so she simple sat back and watched.

When it came to vampires that felt like it was a sworn duty to mess with werewolves he just had no patience. It was eather put up or shut up as he stared at the vampire with the smart comments. Danny knew that the guy must have seen him case that cat and if he heared a word about it things where going to get serious real quick.

"How about we just back off and leave each other alone? I don't like an audience." she said, glancing at the girl that was watching.
The girl seemed to be getting amusement out of watching them spit insults at each other. It was much less amusing to Dani, who just wanted to stay out of trouble. If she created trouble for herself, then she created a risk for Liz, the human she swore to protect.

Jasper felt his phone vibrating again in his pocket, but he couldn't leave now... it was just getting good. It would be over soon. Jasper would make his exit soon enough. "You must've been very important in your pack with those eyes of yours. Very cool. Did you get in a fight? You hurt someone? That scare of your face tells me that you might've been banished from your pack, no? Ouch. Harsh."

"Hello vampires, werewolves." She glanced at both, offering a fanged smile. "Listen, I don't have any intention of joining this argument or picking sides or anything, but I WOULD like to say that you all look like you belong in an episode of Mean Girls. If any humans see you, I'm going to say this right now that the reputations of all supernatural beings are going to be damaged. Now take your "fight"," She over exagerated the air quotes, "somewhere else."
She then looked at all four at once and shook her head sadly. "Why exactly are you fighting? It may have once been vampires, werewolves, and humans, but now it's supernaturals and humans. You guys better get your head around reality, because we can't overthrow them by ourselves." She really did mean it. She hated werewolves as much as the next vampire, but they would continue to be slaves for the rest of time without teaming up.

"I have no interest in defeating them. I like my humans. They treat me like I'm one of them. How dare you plan to attack the hand that feeds you." she said bitterly to the vampire girl.
Dani had too much respect for her owners to allow some unappreciative brat to speak about them this way. She didn't even wait for a response before she nodded at Jasper, letting him know that she was leaving, and turned to move to the other side of the gate. She couldn't go very far, but at least she wasn't standing right where they were arguing with each other. As she sat there, she stared at the gate and went back to patiently waiting for school to end. Hopefully it wouldn't take too much longer, but there had to be at least two more classes left. How long is each class again? Forty-five minutes? Fifty? Dani sighed and stared at the gates.

She had been about to respond to the vampire when that other werewolf suddenly cut in, turning the scene into an insult war. For her the deep rooted rivalry of vampires and werewolves had left her system long ago so she didn't get that aggressive tingle most members of her kind did upon meeting the other species. In fact she was more interested in the spiff between the two guardians, that was unusual to see. They usually all took their jobs too seriously to fight.
Then she heard the pack comment.
Her eyes flicked over to see the other werewolf changing... had he been banished? Or abandoned? Like her...
Either way this kind of fighting wasn't allowed, especially near a school.
Without warning she spun around to face the werewolf in his newly changed form, holding up a hand and staring him in the eyes.
"He's not worth it." She hissed, watching him a moment before turning back to the vampire. "And as much fun as the testosterone contest is, you should both know better than to do this in this area. You're the one I wanted to talk to," She added, holding up her badge so that all the vampires could see it. "So are we going to be calm and do this here or do we need to go down to the station? Your choice."

Jasper flinched, feeling his phone vibrate again. He pulled it out and dropped it on the ground, and stepped on it, crushing it under his foot. "Fuck you. This is way too good." He murmured under his breath.
"Anyways. I don't plan on fighting. If I'm not eating, there is no need for bloodshed. It's totally unnecessary. But Fido over here seems pretty keen on fighting me." Jasper said aloud to them, completely dismissing the wolf glaring him down. No fear.... Jasper had no fear. It's a surprise that he is still alive.

She really didn't get how they LIKED humans. They treated them like slaves. Whatever, she would get the last laugh eventually. She waited further back, waiting for Bethany a few feet from the door. She gripped the humans shoulder tightly and dragged her home.
"Listen, you are going to tell him EVERYTHING, got it? I'm not taking the blame this time." She growled under her breath, pushing the girl through the door. "Now go on, I have to do some... errands..." That was a lie. She was meeting up with some love struck human, one of those with a vampire fetish. He was disgusting, but she just wanted to tease. Luckily, she had her sluttly little dress packed. All she had to do is make it to the bar untouched, and she would have her small victory.
