Alec Ravie

"I must warn you, my home is not to your expectations. It's up to you to decide whether that's good or not".

a character in “Something Wrong”, as played by WhySoSerious?

Description

Name: Alex Ravie

Age: 15

Sex: Male

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 135 lb

Description: Alec has straight black hair that drapes down infront of his icey blue eyes. He has fair skin with extremely faint freckles dotted around his nose. He has a muscular figure, but not so much as to be considered freakishly large. His usual outfit consists of buttoned shirts, black trousers and dress shoes. He'll mainly go for a formal look, but on some days he wears a simple shirt and jeans (though this is very rare).
Image

Role: Ravie child.

Likes: Animals of a pure breed, gothic paintings, fiesty women.

Dislikes: Snobby or ignorant men/women, thunder and lightning, dark rooms.

Habits: Flipping his hair out of his eyes, tapping his fingers or feet, humming to himself, disappearing mid-conversation. Just simple little things.

Greatest Fear: Being chased or hunted. The whole idea of having someone chasing him will scare him.

Attitude: Alec can be quite a mysterious character. He'll often leave people puzzled or with tons of questions. At times, it can be slightly creepy, but that only amuses him more. He is very cheery and joyful, rarely ever angry. To most he can be described as quite a 'bad boy' type of person, because he's constantly causing trouble or flirting with women with large husbands. Apart from that, Alec is quite troubled, what with growing up in the place he did. For the first 10 years of his life, he was quiet, reserved and shy. Obviously he grew out of it.

History: Alec grew up in the Ravie household as quite a spoilt child, along with his sister Ellie and a few others. He and his father got a long quite well, so when he disappeared Alec was heartbroken. He didn't mind his mother too much because they weren't too close. His sister took over the household and he didn't mind that too much either, since he'd not been much of a leading man. He loved his sister with all his heart, but they grew more distant as she became too busy with her duties. Now Alec mainly occupies himself by bothering the workers that his sister employed. He finds it both amusing and satisfying.

Other: He adopted two kittens. The male (Toto) is grey, the female (Lin) is white. They are his pride and joy.

"Time to wake up, my darlings! There's tea and biscuits and eggs and jam waiting for you!" Alec heard, causing his eyes to shoot open and his head to lift up. "Delightful" he mumbled to himself, faking a happy tone. "I'll be down in a moment or two. And just for the record, I'm not your darling" he called down to her. Once he knew for sure that he was awake, he dragged his feet off the bed and gently placed them on the floor, the wooden floor that made a harsh cold jolt through his feet. "Warmth, that's something this house lacks". Alec stood himself up and paced over to the bathroom, walking inside to prepare himself for the morning to come. After combing his hair, brushing his teeth and washing his face, Alec picked out his morning outfit. A white buttoned shirt, brown-ish coloured trousers and brown dress shoes. Something simple, yet suffisticated.

Alec left his room and exhaled deeply. He brushed his suit down one more time before clearing his throat and walking towards the stairs that lead to a hallway next to the main doors. He took each step carefully, trying his best not to fall, his hand was placed upon the banister, picking up dust as he went. Once at the bottom of the stairs, he lifted his hand and examined it, flicking away the dust. "The cleaners here should learn how to do their job properly and appropriatly. Oh, nevermind, I'll give them a good beating after breakfast". Alec didn't often show violence towards the cleaners, but he did if they didn't do their job before he awoke, which was much too often for his liking. He stepped into the kitchen and greeted his sister with a warm, yet slightly uncomfortable, smile. "Morning, sister," he said "I see you've made breakfast, thank you. One more thing, I've noticed that the banisters are coated with a thick layer of dust. It seems the cleaners are not as good as we may have thought, would you allow me to put them in their place?" he asked, arching a brow.

It was then that two small balls of fluff, one grey and one white, darted past his feet, the bells of their collars jingling with each motion. This caused Alec to jump up and squeel, much like a female. "Darnit, you little buggers, I'll wack your behind if you scare me like that again!" he shouted, getting a few meows in return. He turned back to his sister and huffed, "You were saying?".

Ellie stared at her brother, a distant sadness in her eyes. He was a handsome boy, all class and high attitude, but she felt as though a large wall had nudged itself between them. His eyes held the same disconcerting glare they always did when he looked at her. Faking a small smile, she reached over and smoothed his shirt, her hands hovering over his chest as she pulled away.

"The cleaners left, Alec," she said, pulling her hands closer to her chest, a protective gesture, "they quit a week ago. I've been searching for others."

Not a moment after the words fell from her lips, there was a tentative knock at the front door, and the entire house groaned in response, the wood shifting as it prepared for the unexpected guest.

"Perhaps that's one now," she whispered, and slipped past her brother towards the front hall, her bare feet making gentle padding noises as she paced away, long sheet of jet black hair streaming behind her. Taking a steadying breath, the slim girl opened the imposing door and smiled at the red-head who stood before her, looking nervous and determined.

"Hello," she chirped, her eyes lighting up, "my name is Ellena. Welcome to my home."

Alec huffed as his sister told him about the cleaners, "That's a pity". There was a knock at the door which interupted their conversation, Alec responsed by letting a low growl erupt from his chest. His sister walked past him and opened the door, greeting the red-head. He too walked over to the two, peering over his sister's shoulder. He said nothing, only stared curiously. It would be fun to torture her, to play tricks on her and scare her witless. That was just something he did often, and he found it quite amusing. If only people didn't react so badly to it. More often that not, he'd get chased or punched, possibly even worse.

After a while of doing nothing but stare, he turned himself around and padded back to the kitchen to eat his breakfast. Alec snorted slightly as the image popped back into his mind, he shook his cranium to rid the thought then shifted his gaze back to the food his sister had prepared. "I must say, this looks delightful. Such a pity, it appears I'm not fully ready to eat yet". Alec stood still for a moment as an uncomfortable breeze whipped past his back, causing him to shudder. Lately, there'd been many situations where Alec found himself spooked or puzzled, but he quickly discarded the feelings and returned his focus to whatever he happened to be doing at the time.

"Oh, Ellie, tell that new girl to clean the banister. I shall not have my hands covered in dust everytime I wish to walk up and down the stairs safely" he called into the hallway, his voice cold and bitter. He hoped this girl would do her job correctly, then he wouldn't have to punish her. Alec had taken up that job within the house, punishing the help whenever the stepped out of line. It was something he was particularly good at.

"Hello, my name is Ellena. Welcome to my home."

Leena offered the girl a smile, "I'm Leena. I saw the job posting and I think it would fit me perfectly. I like keeping busy," she started. Hoping that she hadn't overwhelmed the girl with her thoughts. Leena looked over Ellena's shoulder and spotted a taller young man looking at her. Her first thought was how handsome he looked, the next thought was how cold he was as he told his sister to have Leena clean the banister. She wondered idly why he sounded that way, maybe he had woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

"I'll gladly clean the banister for you, anything to keep busy," Leena offered eagerly to Ellena. All the while her gaze slipped off of the girls pretty face to the ornate decor of the house, the large stair case and most of all, the dust that seemed to hang off of every corner. Leena felt an odd twitch inside her. She wanted to see everything sparkling and clean. It was utterly terrible to see such beautiful craftsmanship being dirty but such an enemy as dust.

From behind her, another woman came up to them. She looked to be much older than both girls, and her English was broken as she spoke to Ellena. Leena listened only briefly, understanding that the woman was also interested in working for the family. Her fingers twisted together as she waited, hoping that if anything, they both could get the job and share in responsibilities. She would hate to see such a desperate woman turned away because she'd gotten there first.

Leena waited for her first order of the day, eager to get started. At the back of her mind, she wondered if she would be able to get to know the young, handsome boy more. To which she quickly shut down the thoughts, work first, day dream later (which wasn't very often).

Johnathon came down the steps in his pajamas, a small yawn escaping his lips. His face brightened up at the sight of his sister. "Ellie~" He called out running towards her and wrapping her in his small thin arms. Johnathon loved his older sister, and the rest of his family, but mostly his older sister. Ellie was definitely his favorite. He looked over at the new servants with a more passive and unamused look. He was not interested in having new servants. They were nice to him, like he was some kid. And though he was a kid, he'd rather not be treated as one. On the other hand, Johnathon found newbies easy to scare. The thought caused a small smirk to appear onto his face. "Who are you?" He asked them.

Forrest Chamberlain

The man had seen many impressive houses in his lifetime; the one in front of him was no exception. As he leaned on the wrought iron gate, he folded his arms and looked up at the manor; nodding his brunette head in approval. His pale eyes expressed nonchalance. One could not deny the sheer size of the building, and Forrest could not help but speculate how many rooms it contained and how long it would take to travel the whole perimeter. Would they be even using all of the rooms? He wondered. Perhaps not. The man had heard many rumours of the Ravie Household, but he had paid no heed to them. Despite the shady background, they seemed respectable and besides, a job was a job. No mention of parents or guardians? So what. If it is only the children, it must just mean they did a good job.

Forrest licked his lips before pushing himself off the gate. He glanced at the rusty iron forlornly; that would need taken care of immediately. The manor looked to be in a similar state, beaten down and dull, he couldn't help but shake his head; ruffling those layers. No wonder they needed workers. However, there was something about the manor that nerved him, he just couldn't put his finger on it. He brushed off his silken blue blazer thoroughly, before pulling up his white tie and knocking off any dirt from his shoes. A neatly folded flyer in his grasp, he strolled through the driveway; the tread of gravel emitting no noticeable sound.

While approaching the house, he saw a small group already gathering. It seemed that a few other people had applied for the job as well. A few black-headed children stood in the doorway, one small girl stood foremost which Forrest assumed was the eldest of the Ravie siblings. She looked busy with the two girls in front of him. Forrest decided to linger behind and wait; his hands resting at his sides and his foot tapping patiently; his focus elsewhere as he examined the rest of the manor. From a distance he caught the whiff of eggs and tea, they were just having breakfast. Some of them were just waking up as he heard small children clambering down the stairs. However, he smelled the musky scent of dust which immediately made the edge of his lip twitch.

Alec walked back to the doorway, his fingers curled around the handle of a cup of tea that he'd been drinking before he heard his brother and sister come down the stairs. He arrived in time to hear Maddie asking where he was. Alec smiled warmly and patted her head with his free hand. "Here I am!" he said cheerily, flashing her a toothy grin. "I put some jam and biscuits on a plate for your breakfast, though you have Ellie to thank for preparing the meal" Alec told her, his eyes shifting over to the man that had arrived. He seemed to be waiting behind, probably waiting for Ellie to finish with her current conversation. He bent down to reach Maddie's level, "You know that man over there," he said, pointing to him, "He seems like a nice man, but it's the nice ones you gotta watch out for. I'd recommend staying away from him".

Of course he was only teasing her, but it'd be funny to make Forrest think that people were avoiding him. He didn't have to saying anything to Johnathon because he knew he had no interest in the help anyway, that'd make his task a whole lot easier. He squeezed past Ellie and the other two, only to make his way over to Forrest and hold out his free hand. "Welcome to the Ravie household, my name is Alec. I know what you're thinking, the house could use a bit of work, but I suppose that's why you're here" Alec greeted the man, "I was only informed this morning that we would be getting new workers, so I didn't even have time to have a small tidy up myself", his tone was somewhat sorrowful, though it was backed up by lies and jokes. Alec would never clean, not when he'd grown up with people doing everything for him, it was just the way he was raised. Selfish, ignorant, spoilt.

Ellie's head was spinning slightly, all the people and activity making her slightly nervous, but happy nonetheless. Squeezing Johnathon back, she kissed his cheek before standing tall and looking at all the others. Taking a small breath, she cleared her throat and announced to the crowd.

"Please, everyone, calm down! If you're here for the job, kindly follow me to the sitting room. Alec, take care of the children, get them breakfast and tea, and remind them to brush their teeth. I'll be back soon. Everyone, please, follow me." Smiling kindly, she strode away from the fray towards the sitting room and perched in a fancy armchair, crossing her legs and flicking her dark hair over her shoulder.

Forrest Chamberlain

Was that sarcasm he had just heard? The man gazed at the boy indifferently for a few seconds, it was hard to differentiate this look as a penetration of the child's very soul or merely a searching glance. Despite his age, he was already one inch taller than Forrest himself, they were practically the same height and stood directly opposite one another. This Alec boy - the man decided - was the one to be aware of. After a moment's silence, Forrest's face abruptly broke into a warm smile and his eyes crinkled.

"It is my pleasure, Mr. Ravie." He replied, he took Alec's hand and shook it loosely; the smile still plastered on his face. He assessed the old manor once more, "Indeed, that's why I am here.
Once Forrest had let go of the boy's hand, he pocketed the flyer and placed his own gloved ones behind his back. What had he told that little girl back then?
He chuckled quietly. "Of course not, sir. Afterall, that is my job."
It was obvious that he had not done any cleaning in his teenage life. Who had the role of cleaning the house before they flyers had been posted? Just the girl? Surely not.

"Please, everyone, calm down! If you're here for the job, kindly follow me to the sitting room. Alec, take care of the children, get them breakfast and tea, and remind them to brush their teeth. I'll be back soon. Everyone, please, follow me." Forrest tilted his head to look at the girl who had just shouted.
His attention shifted back to Alec. "Mistress is calling. I assume this means goodbye, for now." He muttered, before bowing his head towards the boy and following his sister inside, behind the two other girls. While walking through the corridor, he slipped off one of his gloves and ran a finger across the wall. He stared at the dirt, disapprovingly. The previous workers either did not do a good job or it had been some time since they had left.

"I wish Ellie would feed us, not Alec. He's stupid",that was all he heard as he entered. "Oi, brat face, learn some manners" Alex hissed in response, wacking the back of his head with the back of his hand. He watched Johnathon reach for the cake and exhaled boredly. He strolled over to his baby brother and snatched the plate away from his hands and returned his smug grin. "No cake at breakfast. Go get something Ellie prepared for you". Alec pulled the silverware draw open and pulled out a fork, then he stuck it in the cake and tore off a peice before slowly putting it in his mouth. "Mmm, so delicious" he said mockingly, leaning against the wall. Alex had always teased his sibling, mainly because it was so fun, but also because they always did things that annoyed him. "If I hear any signs of protest or sarcasm you're not eating breakfast, got it?".

Alec finished the last few bites of the cake, then plonked the plate straight on the cleaning rack. He rubbed his hands together and smiled softly at his sister Maddie, whom he adored more than anybody in the world. "Sweetie, when you've finished your breakfast let me know and we can go get you ready for the day" he said, "We want to make you look super duper fantastic to meet and greet the new workers. What d'you think?".

Ellie rubbed her hands together nervously and exhaled, watching the group of potential workers, though her mind was in the kitchen, stroking Johnathon's hair and making sure Maddie ate all her breakfast, trying to force Alec to be nice to the children with gentle comments and soft looks. She shivered under his gaze now, fear whispering in her ear and wrapping around her throat, fear that he had forgotten who she was, how much she loved him. Forgotten by her sibling...her hands began to quake at the thought, though she folded them in her lap to stay still, and looked at the applicants.

The first one to arrive, Leena, she had said, was a very nice girl, sweet, and classically pretty, with her long red hair. Having more girls in the house wouldn't exactly help, but more girls her age would make her smile. The second girl, who spoke with broken English, seemed a bit timid, but she was lovely nonetheless. Having older forces would help, it might make Alec straighten up a bit. And then there was the man...he was very pretty, beautiful, for a man. Breathtaking. That would certainly set Alec off, but it would be good to have a bit more masculinity in the household.

Smiling softly, Ellie wondered if everyone would be happy, the workers since they would all be receiving jobs, the children since there would be other people to help out besides herself. The familiar twinge of fear crept into her throat, but she shook her head gently to rid the thought, and decided to instead focus on what needed to be done. Sixteen, and far too grown up for her own good.

"You butt face!! You are stupid!" Johnathon punched his older brother with his small fists, not even being able to budge Alec. "I hate you I hate you!" He screamed. Johnathon really liked his cake. He hated Alec so much. He was such an ass. Johnathon ran off to find Ellie, turning back to shout, "I'm telling Ellie that you took my breakfast!"

Johnathon ran down the hall ways, looking for his big sister. He really just wanted to be with her, and watch the new workers to look for ways of scaring them or whatever. When Johnathon came up to Ellie, he took her hand and smiled at her with his little innocent-looking face. He was a good faker. He buried his head in her stomach and murmured, "I want to be with you. Alec is stupid."

Johnathon turned to look at another one of the servants (Alex), and gave her a harsh glare. She seemed to think too much... She looked like she cared about them. Johnathon would not like her...

"Hello Johnathon," Ellie said to her baby brother, holding him in her arms tightly, "good morning. I'm glad to see you awake with so much energy this morning." Her eyes darkened a bit as she heard her brother complain about Alec, and she sighed before putting her fingers under his chin, and bringing his eyes to meet hers. "Johnathon, darling, I know he is very frustrating, but please don't call your brother stupid. He loves you very much, we all do, he just has a different way of showing it. So please, don't say such things against family, alright?" Pressing her lips to his forehead, she glanced up at the woman, Alex, and considered a way to answer her.

"Our parents are...very busy. They cannot always be available, and are often away on business. They've left me in charge of the house, as I am the eldest here. While working here, you will answer to all children, but most importantly me. I hope that will not be a problem for you." She smiled kindly, and stroked her brother's hair calmly, gaze even as she studied the woman. Answering to a young girl must've seemed odd, she knew.
