a character in “Song of Origin Revival”, as played by Liselle

[ Name ]: Orchid Glasebrook
[ Birthday ]: March 20th
[ Age ]: 25
[ Gender ]: Female
[ Race ]: Seelie Fey
[ Familiar ]: A Greater Snow Goose named Stan.
[ Class ]: Cleric
[ Job ]: Midwife
[ Personality ]:
Outgoing: Orchid has never been shy and won't hesitate to approach anyone. She's naturally extroverted and thrives on friendships and being with people. She'll befriend anyone who lets her, even if they aren't necessarily the kind of person one should be befriending.
Caring: Orchid is likely to do anything for someone she sees as needing help, or even just a bit of sympathy. Even if she gets rebuffed or hurt from it, she never fails to pick herself back up and do her best for all those around her.
Trusting: She sees the good in everyone and believes fiercely in the idea of second (and third, and fourth) chances. Doing something back doesn't necessarily mean the person is bad. Unfortunately, this often extends almost to the point of naïveté and she will trust nearly anyone, even if it's clear to others that she really shouldn't.
Overbearing: The capacity for caring Orchid displays often crosses the line into smothering. She does her best to care for and help people even if they claim not to need it, which she often assumes is just pride stopping them from accepting. In some cases she's right and people do need the help she pushes on them, but mostly she just gets underfoot and frustrates people.
Emotional: While she has managed some degree of self control as she's grown older, Orchid has always worn her heart on her sleeve. She can burst into tears at the slightest thing, usually during serious conflict or when she witnesses someone get hurt. At the same time, she has no reservations in expressing herself when she's happy either, or any other emotions. It's equally as easy to cheer her up as to make her cry, so long as one cares enough to try.

[ Background Information ]:
Orchid is short, barely scraping 5' (or 153cm) and, as a result, often uses her wings to lift her off the ground enough to let her look people in the eye.
Her wings are that of a glasswing butterfly, brown edges and a white stripe near the top, while the majority of the wings are transparent. She's often envious of the colourful wings most of her family have, as she finds her own distinctly unremarkable.
She has wavy, ash blonde hair that reaches to just below her shoulder blades. She typically allows it to hang loose, but ties it back when she needs it out of her eyes.
She has large, bright green eyes framed by long lashes. Of all her features, her eyes are what she's most fond of.
Orchid's wardrobe typically consists of tunics to her knees, soft leather boots, and a belt around her waist to hold a few pouches. In cooler weather, she adds a hose, and cloak as necessary, though usually ends up with as many layers as possible during winter. Aside from footwear and her belt, all of her clothes are made from wool and, where possible, are undyed.
Orchid tends to carry her staff with her almost always so as not to be unprepared if she finds someone hurt and needing help. It's taller than her by about four inches and made of willow wood and she often leans on it when standing still.
Due to her diet, Orchid is incredibly skinny to the point of looking malnourished, with visible ribs and too-thin limbs. The fact she's short and scrawny, combined with her large eyes and trusting disposition, often causes her to be mistaken for younger than she actually is.
From spending so much time in the sun, she has freckles across her nose and cheeks, as well as down her arms. They've faded some as she's grown older and spent less time simply lying in the sun, but they're still noticeable.
Her hands are covered in numerous small scars from trying to help less than friendly animals or from dealing with thorny plants.

Mother: Josephine Glasebrook - a beautiful woman by both Fey standard's and in Orchid's own eyes, Josephine has always been someone she has looked up to. She is nurturing and kind, though not so excessively empathetic as her daughter. She was always enthusiastic about being the best mother she could be and raising her children to be the best people they could be. She works as a teacher. The primary resemblance between her and her daughter are hair and eye colour, as well as a very slight build.
Father: Claudius Glasebrook - while not as constantly present or involved a parent as his wife, Claudius would never be accused of being a bad father to his three children, nor loving them any less than any other parent. Rather, he gets over enthused and easily absorbed in his projects, working as a glass blower and always aiming to make something better than he's ever made before. Despite that, he does his best to show interest in all of his children and their personal achievements or goals, though it was clear he was much more excited when his youngest daughter turned out to be artistically like himself.
Younger siblings: Bryony and Aquila Glasebrook - Twins. Currently nineteen. Orchid adores them and has always done her best to spoil them rotten, though they claim to be too old for their sister's coddling. They have the stereotypical twin mindset where they had done everything together since birth and we're always insuperable, so it was a surprise to everyone but them when they chose different life paths: Bryony to was much more artistic, while Aquila simply wanted to help peopl. Bryony works as her father's apprentice, much to his pride. Aquila tends towards odd jobs and helping those in need rather than a stable profession, though he's encouraged by his family to do something marginally more permanent.

One of Orchid's earliest memories is, at the age of perhaps four, going out to help her mother dig up potatoes from their small vegetable garden and coming to the realisation that what they were doing was killing the plants. Of course, as such a small child, she still only had a tenuous grasp on the concept of death and so took a while longer to truly make that exact connection, but what she did understand was that the plants she had been been talking to every day 'to help them grow' were neither responding to her nor growing anymore. That night was the first time she cried until she was sick at the sight of the vegetables on her plate.
When Orchid was six her mother gave birth to the twins and she instantly adored the strange, chubby little creatures that were her brother and sister. Her parents thought her devotion to her siblings was adorable until she attempted to fly around with Aquila and nearly dropped him. After that point, she was rarely left unsupervised with the babies for more than a second.
When the twins were a year old and she was seven, her parents finally managed to convince her to stop screaming and crying at the sight of root vegetables on her plate. Once she was convinced that she was upsetting her siblings, she became a lot more tolerable at dinner (so long as she wasn't given anything that had to kill the plant to get there).
From a young age Orchid was determined to help anyone and everyone that she could, so even as a child she was determined to go down the path of a healer. The aptitude testing when she was twelve only reaffirmed her decision.
Her parents were hesitant to send her off to a far away city to specialise her education so young, despite her conviction that she would be a healer and that she would be better trained outside of their tiny village. Instead they arranged for her to assist a local midwife alongside her regular schooling until she was a little older. Due to her age and lack of experience, this mostly meant fetching towels and other things until she could be trusted.

The Prison of Awesome Doom

This location has been well known for what it truly is, as the ridiculous name took away any credibility it had. The prison is nothing more than a castle fashioned into a horror themed Inn that randomly takes in travelers and the homeless that are within the territory of the castle. Though you are free to leave from the moment you are brought in, for none of the "guards" are particularly invested in pretending to stop you.

You have your own reason for being here. Perhaps you were passing through and needed a place to stay, perhaps it was a dare, but all the same you are within the walls of Castle Augustus. And as you wander through the "Prison", your story begins. And little do you know what your future holds for you.

But all you know for sure that a boy named Magnus, the apparent "Warden" of this prison, is ineptly flirting with most of the women in the castle, attempting (and failing) to intimidate the men, and nervously blushing around those who are non-binary.
