Ravel yawned as she got out of bed she coughed up a small iron key and unlocked her metal corset that prevented Stein from experimenting on her in her sleep. She stretched her lithe body thoroughly before she pulled on a fresh pair of undergarments followed by a bear of skin tight jeans and a white dress shirt followed by her black coat which covered her body from neck to ankles. She pulled on a pair of white gloves to keep her nails clean and undamaged and finished with a pair of boots that matched her gloves. She hadn’t bothered speaking to the spy… the way the fool approached her on their first meeting was a clear sign of incompetence… calling her a witch with people around! What was the girl thinking… she’d figure out where this other witch was by herself. It wouldn’t be to hard… hunting a rouge witch shouldn’t be that hard.

Amanda woke up early as she did everyday and prepared a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hash browns… being free from her parents had done much to sooth the wounds her parents had inflicted upon her soul… unfortunately not all wounds eroded to time. She cleaned off her hands after arranging the food on two separate plates so one plate resembled Amanda and the other Ryuho. She figured it was a small aggression release and would help keep their partnership working like a well oiled machine. In fact with Ryuho and her own genius she had mastered her Resonation technique known as Shock Therapy and was already well on the way to mastering Voltage… she had acquired a second Soul Menace… but they still drained to much power to be of use in actual combat. She couldn’t wait to show off their skill on their first mission.

Though in order to do that they had to be at school on time. “Ryuho, its time to wake up and eat some breakfast!” She sat down and began to eat Ryuho’s bacon nose. As she finished writing up what strategies she could use on the missions she saw on the board at school… whether or not they were actually sent on those she did not know. Though if she was she would most definitely be ready.

Eden was rudely yanked out of her dream land by her stupid alarm clock. Deftly throwing it at the wall, and smiling as it made its customary smash next to the indentations of previous alarm clocks. Nuzzling her pillows, enjoying the last few seconds of peace before one of the twins would come in here, drag her out of bed by the ankle off to train again. She didn't understand WHY they insisted on training so hard, so early in the morning. They had after school, but knowing them they'd make her train then too. Hearing soft footsteps coming down the hall, she braced herself for a fight.

It was Desmond's turn to wake their lazy meister. She usually put up a good fight, they'd had to replace parts of the carpet that she ripped up as they dragged her out of bed. But she had improved significantly, whining the whole time. Trying to be his stealthiest, Desmond snuck into her room, and pounced at the mound of blankets on her bed. Feeling nothing but pillows underneath him, he didn't have enough time to dodge Eden as she brought down her unabridged dictionary on his head. Wincing, and rolling off her bed, he assumed the sparing position he'd taught her as she assumed it herself. "Let me sleep damnit! Please? Five more minutes!" When he remained silent she struck for his jugular with the heel of her palm, he deftly caught it and flipped her onto her bed where he caught her ankle and started to drag her out of her room "You're a neanderthal! HOW DARE YOU TREAT YOUR MEISTER THIS WAY!" "Eden, we've done this every morning. For six months. Get used to it. Or at least go to bed earlier. You're getting better though, you got the drop on me this time." Tugging a little harder, he dislodged her from her death grip on her bed post "Come on, Oz has made breakfast. French Toast. You like french toast right?" Grinning as she stopped struggling, food was her weakness and they'd gotten really good at taming her stomach lately.

Indignant at the treatment so early in the morning, again, she laid on her back, one foot in the air as he dragged her down the hall. French toast sounded awesome "You can let my foot go you know, I'll walk, like a good girl this time." "Hell no! You always escape back to your room, fool us once, shame on you, fool us...well....a lot shame on us. OZ! THE PRINCESS IS UP!"

~Algernon Whittaker

It had been six whole months since that first, fateful day at the Academy, when zombies had tried to take rule with their... lack of wit, but massive strength. The six months that had followed had been tedious, training for things that had already been accomplished the first day. Hero and I had already been able to-
"Alge! You awake?! It's time to get to school!"
Algernon stopped lamenting about the lack of things he was learning at school. He was lying on his back in bed, his head hanging over the side so that he was looking at his desk upside-down. As it turned out, he already knew a lot of the basics, and what he hadn't known he learned awfully fast while fighting zombies. So the last six months was pretty much remedial work and he was getting kind of bored. He expressed his disinterest over coffee with Hero.
"Yeah, but we're going to get assigned missions soon, and that'll be exciting and new." Hero pointed out, taking a sip of orange juice.
"Hmm, good point." Alge said with interest. He'd forgotten about missions even though they walked past the mission board every day.

The two of them finished breakfast and Algernon washed the dishes while Hero wiped down the table and swept the floor. Alge was pretty anal about keeping the place clean and while Hero rolled his eyes while cleaning he still got it done. Then they began their jog to the academy. It was kind of a long trip but it kept them in shape. Unfortunately, in six months neither of them had figured out exactly how long it took to jog to the DWMA, and so they always arrived in class late.

~Franken Stein

Stein had welcomed Ravel into his home pretty courteously, but before the day was done he had pretty much already forgotten she was there. They went to the DWMA together, they came back from the DWMA together, sometimes they ate meals together, but in general he'd forgotten about her. Nights were different, however, the first few nights she woke up to find him poking at her strange corset with a scalpel, a slight frown on his face. When asked what he was doing he would look at her with a completely blank expression, light gleaming off the lenses of his glasses. Then he would turn and walk out of the room.

That had ceased to happen after about a week and a half when she finally gotten fed up and smashed a pillow into his face. Now, every morning she would enter the kitchen to find him sitting at the table, patchwork slippers on his feet and a nightcap on his head, reading the paper and sipping tea. They never said anything about the night visits, Ravel figured he would either not remember them, or deny it all. Both of which he would have done.

This morning was a little different, Stein had actually remembered he had a roommate and had laid out a plate of breakfast for her, though he said nothing about it when she entered the room.

Ryuho/Tsukasa

"I'm up. I'm up." Ryuho called entering the room running his fingers through his dark hair and yawning until he noticed Amanda eating his bacon nose. "Hey, stop eating my nose! Eat your own!" he snatched the bacon from her mouth and took a bite out of it himself. He sat down to eat his plate of breakfast. "Thanks for the face by the way." He said with a smile. He felt good this morning. In the past six months being with Amanda, he so many things had changed. He hadn't felt as tormented as he usually did. Part of it was due to the success that their combined intellect had produced for them, but it was mostly because Tsukasa's consciousness had dwindled to almost nothing, but an annoying little voice babbling in the back of Ryuho's head. He wondered if being with Amanda had anything to do with it. Another reason was because he'd begun a project that was producing interesting results. The Society prediction Mainframe. It was a computer system that gathered certain knowledge to make an educated guess for a question in the form of a percentage. It still needed work, but it was successful for the most part.

After finishing his food he yanked out his skateboard and turned to Amanda. "Ready for school?"

Alisa Ravenclaw

Alessandro was taking to long so Alisa left for class without him. She was sure he'd catch up. He always did. As she was walking up the cobble stone steps on her way to class her books fell from her hands. A man dressed in a long black coat and head full of black shaggy hair that fell down his face only revealing his smiling golden eyes. "Aro...." His head fell to his left as he scanned her face with his eyes. Alisa felt terror rip through her body. She wanted to scream, but Aro's gaze commanded her mouth to stay shut. he appeared to drift towards her reaching his arms out and embracing her the way a loving father would his daughter.

"Alisa" he spoke in his thick accent that made him sound like a creature from an old vampire movie. "It's been so long my child." he stroked her hair. "Have you located Holo Lobo for me?"

Alisa's mind raced...she'd heard it somewhere before, but couldn't place a face to it. Her entire my body was shaking. She could feel it. She could feel the madness rocking her very soul in this monster's demonic embrace. "NO!" She choked out. "I-I-I don't know who that is...."

Aro's eyes disappeared within the shadow cast by his midnight locks. "Ravel did not tell you to gather information from the son of Holo Lobo?"

"No..."

Aro let her go. Alisa fell to the ground shaking. "Ravel and I will have...to talk." he spoke darkly. After few seconds of long agonizing silence. Aro spoke. "No matter. I have another mission for you. Locate and retrieve as many Emblems as you can. There are ten in all scattered across the world. Do this and I will no longer need your services. Alisa kept her eyes on the ground, when she looked up the kishin was gone.

"Hey! Alisa! Wait up!' Alessandro called from a distance.

Anter was awake long before White Star was. He was cooking their breakfast of curry. He didn't know how to make anything else, so he stuck with that whenever he was cooking. He had a system worked out in his head. If White Star woke up before him, he would make the curry very mild. If they woke up at the same time, he would add some spice to it. If Anter woke up before White Star, he would make it blazing hot with extra spice. The outcome of the first would be the rest for the entire day. It was in its own bowl with chicken serving as the meet and rice on another plate if he ever so desired to combine the two (personally, I believe either way works, together or not, but I think it is supposed to be together).

Anter set down his own plate and scarfed down half the meal, leaving the rest for White Star. He walked over to his housemate's room and knocked on the door. He said, "Hey White Star, your food's ready! You better get up and get ready for school. I'm leaving without you today, so you better catch up with me!" As he was walking to the door, briefcase in hand (not entirely sure what the thing is called that japanese students use), a voice came to him in his head. Just kill him and take his soul, then you don't have to worry about him. No one would think you did it because you two get along so well. The madness whispered inside him. Mumbling to himself, he said, "Just shut up. We go through the same routine each day. You say kill, I say no. How about you just quit it for the day, or week, or month, or year, or just my entire life. I would really appreciate that." The madness remained silent after Anter spoke.

As he walked out the door, he saw Hero and Algernon run past his home. He quickly began to run after them. They always gave him some good exercise in the morning, even though he was faster than both of them. He enjoyed the company since White Star slept in more than usual. He looked over at the pair and said, "How're things going this morning?"

"Hey, Anter," Alge answered with a wave and a pant. He was now able to jog almost halfway to the academy before losing his breath. Man, just because you were scrawny didn't mean you were in shape! Hero was lucky, he childishness kept him hyper and running for hours. Sometimes he'd run circles around Anter and Algernon before Anter left them in the dust, making sure to get to class on time. "Hero reminded me that we'll get assigned missions soon, you up for it?"

Ravel walked into the kitchen her hair for what ever reasons remained perfect as if just combed even though she had yet to comb it. “Good morning Dr. Stein.” She sat down to enjoy a breakfast. “Oh thank you Dr. Stein that definitely eliminates having to think out what to make… so today are the first official missions for the students right? I hope their ready… what if the missions are to hard and one of them fails…” she paled to a horrific shade of nausea. “Or… what if one of them dies. Oh… I don’t think I could stand to have a student die on an assignment.” She sighed deeply before regulating her breathing until color returned to her body. “ Oh… we should get going soon or we’ll be late…”

“Your welcome, I hope we get a good mission… with our skills were sure to get the best mission and results…” She ate what she wanted to and cleaned off what she didn’t finish into the trash. She quickly came back to Ryuho’s side when he took out his skateboard. “Alright we may as well get to school early incase we get to pick our own missions or if its first come first serve we should be the first ones in!”

"Ravel, you're looking particularly lovely," Franken said off-handedly, wiping blood from his nose. In six months he had done countless dissections and experiments on himself to explain and prevent this phenomenon, and in six months nothing had worked. Finally he assumed he was simply allergic to whatever perfume Ravel might be wearing, though he never asked her about it.

He didn't look up from the paper as she expressed concern for the students. "Well, if one does die, that means that that one was not ready for missions, that's all." He turned the page of the newspaper, not really reading it, just the headlines. News was boring, the same thing happened day after day and the silly thing was that a lot of people seemed surprised by this. Random explosions in random states, terrorist attacks, buildings catching fire, it was all the same, usually with the same outcome.

He folded the paper and set it on the table when she mentioned they should take their leave. "Would you like to walk on this fine day, or take a cab?"

Stein didn't mention this, but there was only one zombie left from the escapade six months before. He and Ravel had done experiment after experiment, using one zombie each month, and they had not found anything about who had created them or what their purpose might have been. Stein speculated that it had been a distraction, but for what he wasn't sure. Ravel hadn't been able to come up with much either, but together they had determined the life-expectancy of a zombie without foodstuffs, how fast they digest the foodstuffs they were given, how to properly destroy a zombie (which most people already knew from watching horror movies) and what television shows the people had liked to watch before becoming zombies. This last part had been especially important as it had introduced Stein to various television series and movies that he may not have ever come across before.

"Yeah I'm up for it. I can't wait. White Star and myself haven't recieved missions at all, so all we have been doing is training. We have gotten our renosence rate up a lot though, so our wait wasn't so bad. I wonder if we get to go in groups or just with our partner?" Anter said as he picked up his pace. Hero was keeping up with him, but Algernon was starting to trail behind. "Come on Algernon! We are almost there, you got to at least try!"

Ryuho/Tsukasa

Ryuho helped Amanda onto his skateboard and kicked off. Together they cruised past the pristine Gothic architecture and hopping through Gothic archways. He was partially trying to impress Amanda a little, but soon they came to the steps of the Death Weapon Meister Academy and began their long trudge upward. Maybe you can get your woman to carry you up there, Tsukasa snickered. Ryuho ignored him inhaled and began the walk. He hadn't told Amanda the whole truth about Tsukasa yet. He'd only told her about the Tsukasa who had lived and died. Not about the one who swelled in his mind. Though he admitted that he was sort of mentally impaired.

“We can walk today Dr. Stein its far to beautiful of a day not to walk.” She smiled before leading him outside to commence their way to school.

Ravel lay curled up and snuggled under her wooly blanket of her recently finished secret chamber of in Stein’s house… and now she was glade she had made a doppelganger who copied her perfectly as a human… minus her innate laziness so she didn’t have to fight with it after all. She hugged the large stuffed Shinigami against her bare skin as she ‘dreamed’ though in truth she was using her dreams to look through the eyes of her many Ravens she had let loose and given magical energy to survive three months… at the end of which she went off to see her mother released her Soul Protect and summoned more Ravens to serve as her eyes. She had already figured out the names of each student due to her new addition to a audio based link to her pets and sermonizing her memories with her doppelganger’s. This school was -WAY- to easy to infiltrate and spy on… even while she was asleep.

Franken stood and took a last sip of his tea before dropping the cup into the sink. A piece chipped off as it hit the metal bottom but he didn't seem to notice. He followed Ravel out the door, not bothering to lock it. The place looked spooky enough, and most people knew who it belonged to and this kept anyone from getting too close. Not to mention he had various booby traps set, but he never mentioned that to anyone.

He offered his arm to Ravel and the two of them began their walk. On the way they saw Hero, Anter, and Algernon jogging towards school. "Hmm, it seems those two will actually be early for class." He mused aloud.

As they turned onto the main street, Franken couldn't help but glance into one shadowy alleyway. He had not said anything to anyone about seeing Medusa there, after six months he had started to believe he had imagined it. But the looks he got from Soul confirmed that she had been there and that did not sit well with him.

Algernon groaned as Anter urged him on. What was this, a race? Turns out it had become one as Anter and Hero took off down the last stretch of street before the steps of the DWMA. Alge took a deep breath and let it out slowly, regulating his breathing like he had learned to do over the past six months, then put on an extra burst of speed and reached the steps only a few seconds after the other two. He sat on the third-to-bottom step, still regulating his breathing, and wiped his face with the sleeve of his hooded sweater.
Hero was a few steps up, bent over with his hands on his knees, panting a little. "Whoo! That was fun! And we didn't have to wait forever for Algernon!"
Algernon looked around and found a small rock which he proceeded to flick at Hero.
"Hey! What was that for!" Hero kicked the step he was standing on, sending little bits of debris showering Algernon. Hero laughed as Alge ran a hand through his hair to rid it of small particles of concrete, thinking of a way to get back at Hero, but smiling while doing it. Then he thought of something. "Hey, where is White Star?"

Anter laughed when Hero was hit by the rock. "I assume that he is still at home, sleeping like he usually does." Anter said, responding to Algernon's question. "It is the same every day, and he gets here either right before or after the bell, so I'm not worried. He is a hard worker, just when he feels to though. I can't complain. Anyway, I'm still jealous about not being in the same class as you. I barely know anyone in my class, even after six months." He said swinging his arms around his back, cracking it. "Anyway, Algernon, this is for Hero." Anter trotted down to were Algernon was, charged his middle finger, and flicked him straight in the forehead.

Finally waking up after smelling food, “Anter you still here.” White Star yelled. He got out of the comfortable, smooth bed and walked into the kitchen. There he seen curry that was made, White Star sat down and started to eat his food. White Star remebered that Anter was gone to school. Eyes started to get bigger and he began to turn red, “White Star ran to the sink and turned the cold water on almost drowning himself. Putting on some clothes he looked at his watch noticing that it’s almost time for school to start. He ran out the door and started running to the school almost forgetting he had a bike. White Star turned back around and got on his bike and began to ride as fast as he could to get to the school. As he was riding to the school he was hoping to see Algernon and Hero today.

Eden, being dragged along by her ankle, resigned herself to training.......again. The closer Desmond dragged her to the kitchen, the stronger the smell of toasted bread and cinnamon. Her mouth began to water, and Desmond snickered as he heard her stomach growl. As they entered "Neutral Ground" (five feet from the door of the kitchen to inside the kitchen, where Eden agreed not to run away, and the twins promised not to make her train if she was in that space) , Eden righted herself, smoothed out her yoga pants and readjusted her tube top and smoothed out her sleeping gloves. She'd learned the hard way to stop wearing nighties. Two weeks of extremely chilly mornings in nothing but lace and silk were not fun, and trying to train in them.....forget it.... so she just wore clean training clothes to bed now. Eden stalked past Desmond with a huff, and started to drool over the heaping stack of steaming french toast. Osmond, in his plaid 'man apron', flipped a fresh piece from the skillet onto her already leaning tower of tasty. "I added nutmeg this time and put sugar in the batter. Let me know what you think ok?" As he turned, he found Eden had already stuffed a piece into her mouth as she properly doctored the rest with maple syrup, butter, and powered sugar. "I'll take that as a yes. Des, let's go get changed."

Osmond led Desmond out of the kitchen, Desmond found it absolutely fascinating watching Eden eat. It was like she never got enough food, or she hadn't eaten in weeks. They guessed they had about ten minutes to get dressed before she'd make a break for bed again and retreated to their respective rooms to dress.

Eden hummed the tune that played from the CD player she'd bought for the kitchen. Her rule was, morning was her classical music, afternoon was Osmond's choice and night was Desmond's choice, if he could beat Osmond to the kitchen in time. She made short work of the first eight pieces. Hawaiian bread, nice. A hint of cinnamon, some nutmeg...good choice... some cardamon...and orange juice? Hmm yummy She was almost done, just one perfect bite to go, the proper mixture of powered sugar, just the right amount of butter, and a hint of maple syrup.....stabbing it happily, it almost made it to her lips when she was rudely yanked from her chair and rushed out of the apartment.

"THE HELL?!!!? MY TOAST!!!" Desmond carried her over his shoulder "We're going to be late for school, no time for food!" "THE HELL IT IS! There is always time for food you Irish git! PUT ME DOWN! I'M NOT EVEN DRESSED!" Osmond held up her back pack "We packed some stuff for you to wear Eden, you'll be fine." "The hell I will! Last time you packed me lime green shorts and a sweatshirt! I will dress myself damnit! PUT. ME. DOWN!" Desmond shrugged and dropped her on the floor. Righting herself, and snarling at Desmond, Eden ran back to her room, and dressed with all speed. I'll fix my gloves and garter on the way, the main things are on Walking out the door, smoothing her gloves over her arms, Osmond looked up at her with an impatient grin "Two minutes, a new record, lets fly!" Snatching her up, Osmond took off down the hall to the fire escape, up the ladder, and they took off over the roof tops to school.

Screaming and swearing the whole way, Eden was very unhappy when they traveled this way. They always carried her in the fireman's hold, never princess style, so everyone and their mother could see up her skirt. She'd started weighting down her skirts with fishing weights after Ryuho had flipped her skirt up two months ago, but there was only so much she could do at a time like this. Grinning evilly at the memory, Desmond had almost had a stroke he was so angry. She'd had to replace the training dummy after he'd calmed down that afternoon. Totally. Worth. It.

They skidded into class with seconds to spare, and Osmond gently placed her on her feet. Twitching all her things into place, she led her 'body-guards' to their seats

Above Death city a flood of bats as black as night and a sinister aura that should only be accompanied by the devil himself flew threw the air. A single winged- rat strayed from the rest on a mission. It descended down into the city, skidding across the shales that composed rooftops and soared past windows until it came upon it's destination. A window, slightly ajar. The creature landed on the ledge, peering in at a stunningly gorgeous woman who lay curled under a blanket, carelessly dozing away. An ominous voice boomed through the room like a vibration that is felt and not heard. Calling her, beckoning for her toawake from her slumber.

"Ravel...Ravel...AWAKE"

Ravel’s eyes shot open as she thrashed around before falling face first on the stone floor… and as she preferred not to wear anything to bed when she didn’t have to it was very cold on her bear skin. “Ow… who is there!” She looked around before spotting the strange bat. “Aro is that you? Its quite impolite to sneak up on a lady… not to mention one who has yet to dress for today!” She hmphed and turned her head away from him with a cross of her arms before sighing and hugging the bat closely. “I missed you -so- much Aro I’ve had so much fun here in death city… I’ve infiltrated the staff… unleashed a horde of zombies and made Stein believe Medusa has returned… oh and I got the most awesome artifact ever.” She said carrying Aro to hers stone wardrobe and pointing to a wooden bird that raised its head only to sink its head once more into a small cup of water. “So… what did you come all the way out here for? If its about the spy I have good reasons of avoiding her… she called me a witch almost directly in front of multiple students and Stein… the little harlot came dead close to getting me killed! Where did you send Shara anyways… I heard she beat up a little kid…”

Ravel nodded. “I don’t see why you can’t just send Lord Pent… he is more then capable of finding things more effectively then myself. Though if you’d like I guess I could hunt them down… and send out some of my… more dangerous pets to keep them off our trail during our search. As for this Lobo… I have my Ravens everywhere… my eyes and ears have been listening for quite some time I think I’m quite close to figuring things out… Its split between this Caylx fellow and a boy named Algernon… I’m absolutely sure its one of those two…”

~Algernon Whittaker

Algernon's head tilted backwards when Anter flicked him, then he felt a small burst of electricity course through him. He seized for a second then glared at Anter. "I don't think he needed help, and look, my hair is standing on end!" He touched his hair gingerly, then tried smoothing it down. He took a playful swing at Anter but missed by an inch as the other boy dodged back.
"Come one you guys, let's see our missions!" Hero interrupted, hopping up and down in front of the door. Algernon stood and the three of them went inside to check the mission board.

Anter laughed at Algernon's comment. He also began to wonder, Where the hell is White Star? He should be here-. As he was finishing his sentence, White Star barreled him over with his bike, making him spin in the air and wipe out on the cold stone floor. His eyes were spinning and for a few seconds, he was knocked out. When he opened his eyes, he picked up White Star, walked over to the other body sprawled out on the floor, and picked him up on his shoulders. "Ok, let's go in."

As the 3 walked in and one was carried in, they saw the mission board. He tossed White Star against the wall and got him to wake up. "Come on White Star, this will be our first mission together. You can't sleep through it, you have to see what we will get."

"Pent is busy on another mission. I am pleased with your work thus far, beautiful Ravel. Continue as you have and our ambitions will soon be complete." with that the bat squeezed from Ravel's arms and flew out of the window, returning to it's flock of incarnates still soaring through the sky to destinations and deviations uknown to the unsuspecting.
