Death's Room

"So, now it begins," Lord Death said as he sipped his tea. "This could be the begining of the end of the world."

"42-42-564, Lord Death, hello!?" came a very regal but nervous voice from the magic mirror in the Death Room. "Oh, hello, King Tapilo, how's Laviatria today? Tapilo, what's the matter, you look horrible." Lord Death said noticing the worry lines on his dear old friends face. "There is a Coup d'état, an assassin is trying to kill me? Please warn my daughter of what is going on, tell her to stay on her guard, and to not come home. She knows exactley who it is who has killed me it was Ar...............Gasp Cough, Gurgle, Thud" he said as a thin black blade rent clean through his chest. "This is bad, this is very bad." he said as he watched the scene unfold. Death reached out his hand and used his powers to record what happened in the King's study.

- Lord Death
"Spirit, we have a very big problem, go find Emillia!" he saidinto his mirror.

- Lord Death, Calyx Mason
"Calyx, you already know Maka, Soul, Stein, Spirit, and Emillia, but I want you to meet Mr. Grave. He is a powerful mage, as well as the the assistant Librarian. Johnathan, this is Calyx, Tomas and Holo's son." Death said as he looked out of the mirror in the center of the dais. "Nice to meet, sir!" Calyx said politely taking the man's hand. "And you as well, I've heard many good things about you and even saw your skills during your battle. You have alot of skill and incredible restraint, I was surprised you hadn't used any magic on your opponent." The tall and slender man in a black suit said as he checked his double breasted suit jacket. "I will see you and your partner at midnight tonight down in the lowest level of the academy for training, understand?" "Yes, sir!" He replied. "You may go to class now, Calyx! Have a nice day and give this to a boy named Hero Garner!" Lord death said stretching his huge white closed fist through the mirror and handing Calyx a brown paper bag.

- Emillia Srivanna
"You wanted me, Lord Death?" Emillia said as she strolled up to the dais her heels clicking as she stepped. "There's been an incident in Latravia, I'm sorry Emillia, your father is dead!" he said as he moved from in front of the mirror to show her the recorded conversation. "Those eyes, it couldn't be, Aro Von Friedhor, but he was supposed to be dead." she said with a gasp as the blade pierced her father's chest. "Who?" "He was my fiancee, but my father found out that he was plotting to destroy Latravia with these mutated experiments." she replied as a small tear trickled down her face, "I must go avenge my father?" "?you may but you must first find Black*Star and Tsubaki."

- Calyx Mason
"So, whose going in first?" Calyx said. "I guess I'll have to since your all being punks!" Steve snipped. "I'm not being a punk? I've just never been in there!" Alisa whimpered. "Well, I'm going in!"Alessandro said as he strolled through the massive doors up to the dais. "Welcome, children, I've asked you here to give you some gifts before you go.", Lord Death sang as he reached through his mirror, "These are some breathing apparatus and a few other special items he said as he handed Calyx's bag over to the 5 man team.

Alisa Ravenclaw

Alisa eyes the items suspiciously and barely glanced at the Shinigami. She did use her abilities to gaze into his soul, perhaps to find what he felt towards her, but all she could see was an childlike soul that had an ancient aura and endless knowledge. She did her best not to look him in the eye...err...his eye holes..."Thank you," She said almost inaudible.

- Lord Death
"Would you please call these students in to the Death Room for me please, Asunyan?" Lord death said to Deathscythe Asuza. "Sure, so it's Eden Rogers, Osmond and Desmond Ralley, Isabelle and Atlas Tola, Ryuho Nakizawa, Amanda Farix, Algernon Whittaker, and Hero. I will be back in a moment." Asuza said as she ran down the path and out the door.

Eden absently reached into Osmond's breast pocket and offered him a toothpick. She grabbed Desmond and hugged him to her side. Her mind started to unfog itself the closer she was to them. She blinked and some life returned to her face. "What's he going to tell us? We JUST found out what our mission is, we didn't even have time to research anything. Im not ready yet!" The twins looked up after sighing, getting their composure before looking to Eden, "It's important, trust us. We would have told you but we were...under orders I'm afraid." Desmond scratched his head as he spoke, gently pushing the door open to the long hallway of bladed pagodas. The twins faces grew a little more grim as they continued on, they weren't used to coming face to face with someone on the same level as Hadrian.

"You two have been going on about 'no secrets' and y'all've been keeping them from me? I call shenanigans!" Eden extracts herself from the two of them and stalks ahead. As they walked up towards Death she skips over and gives him and Spirit a hug, then rocks back on her heels as the twins come up behind her. Slightly taken aback by Eden's random hug, Death scratched the back of his head, blushing under his mask, "You shouldn't be too hard on them. They were under orders by their grandfather. He had intended to tell you about it when you arrived, but it would seem time is of the essence. With the rise of the kishin Asura, a lower god known as Hadrian has been awakened. The Ralleys have been devoted to working to keep him on our side. Hadrian has been working to keep wars temporary, given the maddening effect. It would seem he has become restless and so I would like you all to go out and meet with Osmond and Desmond's grandfather and calm Hadrian once again. It would seem they will know some of what to do and the rest will be up to you three." Osmond and Desmond were shocked that Lord Death knew so much of their family history. "What's a Hadrian? And why do we care? Why is this such a big secret? I mean really, if its just a minor god, can't we just talk with him? if he wants wars temporary then what are we supposed to do? why do we care if he's on our side? what do the twins have to do with anything? why am i out of the damned loop?"

Death and the twins let out a small sigh, they knew it wouldn't be easy to explain. Osmond placed a hand on Eden's shoulder, "E, when we faced off against the zombies, you know, in the warpaint. Did you happen to see anything strange? Like a giant creature?" Desmond shook his head, "Eden, Hadrian is a god of war that has helped the Ralleys since the Roman occupation of Scotland, that particular creature is the reason there is a wall separating half of the country from England. Every few centuries he needs to come to our part of the world in order to interact to remind the world of his power. As it stands now E, we're the ones who have to remind him that he is here to fight to help keep madness down. If wars go on too long then madness develops faster and in times like this, we don't need a war god on the side of a kishin. We didn't tell you because the envoy to Hadrian is usually a member of the Ralley family, one of a set of twins, but seeing as how we are both weapons, neither of us are eligible. We are his servants, it's up to you to be the envoy, we'll be with you the whole time, but if we could have done this without you knowing we would have, best to keep things calm and reduce stress. Think of it this way: With Hadrian, we stand the chance of increasing our strength and unlocking strategy beyond anything we could normally reach. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity E." Death merely shook his head, "While this is true Desmond, there is still the risk of you losing your lives, Hadrian does not play nicely with others so you need to be ready when it comes time to face him, I have full faith in you three."

"You mean Lampchop? the sheep thing? What if I don't want to be an envoy? what if i'm not a good envoy? the stupid sheep said i wasn't worthy anyway. Said i need pups. it was annoying, why do i need dogs to be worthy anyway? If its a once in a lifetime thing, and we die, what then hmm? What happens if we piss the sheep off and he kills us? then what?" The twins shuddered at Eden referring to their family's pride as 'lambchop' Osmond moved in front of Eden, hands in pockets, "Eden, there isn't any choice, it's time to renew our promise to Hadrian, you're the only hope for the family. If you die, all three of us die. The dogs he was referring to are the Hounds of War. They are something very important because they are to be the ones who stand beside Lord Hadrian as he goes into battle. If we die then war will become wild and more dangerous than it already is. If we piss him off, then we continue until he either kills us or consents. And Eden, the Hounds of War," With that the twins reached into their satchels to remove their masks, holding them infront of their faces, "have been with you the whole time."

Eden blinked blankly at the twins. "And I thought MY family was messed up. I need time to think about this ok? This is really big, and mind you I'm not saying no. I just...need some air ok?" Eden turned on her heel and fled. 'too much pressure too much work i dont want to die i dont want them to die they should have told me sooner this bites!' bursting out the doors of DWMA she leaped down the steps and ran the whole way back to the apartment with nothing but white noise playing in her head as nice background noise to her inner self freaking out

"Azunyan, where are the Tola siblings?" Lord Death asked with a light hint of concern in his voice. "I didn't see them near the Mission wall nor in any of the halls, but I'll go find them." Asuza replied as she bowed and exited leaving the students alone with Spirit and Lord Death. "sooo...., how is school going?" Spirit said weakly trying hard to kill the akward silence that ensued. "There already here, sir, they were right outside the door." Asuza said as she escorted Isabelle and Atlas up. "Good, now we can begin on the debriefing, Spirit, hand Isabelle the appropriate mission kit. Thank you, now, we've been getting reports on weird vibrations of elemental energy from 9 different locations around the world. You are all being sent to one of these locations to investigate aswell as collect the souls of those listed." Lord Death began. "There are a pair of com links, flashlights, gloves, artifact tools, a picture of the object you will be looking for, and an ionized bag for the object it self." Asuza explained, "I'll be your contact for your missions so that i can use my Senrigan to trcreate maps of the labyrinths you'll be running through to locate the items."

"Umm Lord Death I just wanted to ask where are Isabelle and I heading, we were a little Late today and didn't get to look at the board." Atlas said as Lord Death told them the specs on the mission, Izzy looked a little frustrated by the fact that Lord Death called her Isabelle, which she tried very hard to hold in, but it was quite obvious to Atlas, "and if it isn't a problem she perfers to be called Izzy very few people call her Isabelle and after last years incident it causes some problems." Atlas said looking over at her.

"I can stick up for myself you lazy idiot" Izzy Whispered to Atlas, "They only people who called me Izzy, where my father, his partner, and my idiot cousin right here, even though he knows I don't like it." Izzy looked into the mission kit to assure that nothing was forgotten. "I am very sorry for these outbursts" Izzy said as she bowed toward Spirit, Asuza, and Lord Death.

Osmond watched as the two youths lashed out at one another, flicking his toothpick slightly, "These are who we're teamed up with eh? Interesting to say the least." With that he looked to Atlas with a slight hint of agitation, "'If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. And if you're late, you die.' Words to live by boyo." His voice trailed slightly as he looked back to Death "Well sir, Where exactly in Dublin are we bound? Desmond and I know the area well enough but just a general area will be enough for us. I look forward to meeting with you Miss Anzunyan." Osmond would have gone to introduce himself to the Tolas, but he felt it would be better to either introduce themselves after being dismissed or during the mission. Osmond's mind drifted back to Eden, hoping she had made it back safely to their apartment.

Meanwhile, Desmond would already make it to the appartment, being told by Mr. Ona that their meister had entered in a fluster and asked if everything was alright. Desmond gave a dismissing wave, not meaning to be rude but matters were rather strange. Running up the stairs to their floor, Desmond came across Eden sitting in the hallway outside their door curled up in a ball. As he sat down next to the young woman, Desmond realized he was feeling slightly short of breath, "E. you doing ok? You had us worried. Why'd you run off like that?" While talking, Desmond placed a hand on her shoulder.

- Lord Death
"42-42-564, to knock on Death's Door!" the mirror rippled as if it were a lake. "Hello, Lord Death it's Calyx, your favorite godson, We've defeated the shark monster and gathered up all the eggs. Adam is roasting them as we speak. Oh, and I've got some onee here who wants to say hello! Mom, go ahead." Calyx said as he dried off his hair. "Hello, Marethyu, how have you been?" Holo said taking the mirror from her son. "I've been better, I'm glad to see that you are alive and well. What brought you out of hiding, dear?" Lord Death said cheerfully. "Well, since the attack on my and my husband's lives I 've been hiding in my old lair in Mexico with Lobo Caliente and his family. Then I felt the madness wavelength manifest even stronger and was drawn to Latravia, where I watched the murders of some villagers. Theb when i sensed Cally here open Howling Gate I followed the flow of magic to its source."

Calyx Mason The son of the Wolf Witch
"Its a continuous transformation spell, I can't wait til I learn that one." Calyx said with a slight smirk, "She's not the only one, you know Miss Kim from the infirmary, she a witch, and so is Angela, her assistant, as well as Blaire and the Chupa Cabaret girls. Then there's me, of course. I have no clue where she is, but I'll go find her."

The Renegade Witch Holo Lobo


Holo Lobo's bright expression was replaced with a solemn tone. "Lord Death...I had another reason for resurfacing and coming to you. Recently...I was approached by a denizen of Mabaa. I'm aware of the threat in Laviatria. The Kishin thats taken over that land. Two of my sisters are aiding him. Mabaa wants me to eliminate them. In exchange, she'll let me and my family off of the hook. Grudgingly...I accepted. Even though I'm sure i can't trust her. I figured that you and I could help each other." she paused. "The things I saw in Laviatria...was terrible. I'll become a spy for you and infiltrate. But in return Lord Death...I want your protection in case something goes terribly wrong. Can i have that?"

Lord Death, The Keeper of the Balance of Life and Death
"You, Calyx, and even your husband are under the protection of the D.W.M.A.. There will always be a safe place here for all of you." Lord Death replied as he placed his real hand on her shoulder. "I apologize. Holo, I must take this. Hiyo, Izzy, what's new in Dublin?" Lord Death said with his trademark air chop. "Oh! Lord Death, I just wanted to inform you that Eden Rogers and the Ralley twins left Atlas and I a message saying that they would be about three days late, if it isn't a problem could I be informed why, I know that they had to get your permission first." Izzy said. "Its a very major mission that only Eden, Osmond, and Desmond are able to do because of a pact that Ralley family has with a deity." Lord Death said as he waved good bye, "Now, you and your cousin need to do recon while you wait, your contact will be waiting for you outside Spire of Dublin., have fun, <3, BYEEE."

Lord Death, The Headmaster and Shinigami
"Would Amanda Farix, Ryuho Nakizawa, Allesandro Winters, Alisa Ravenclaw, Algernon Whittaker, Hero Garner, Adam and Steve Edenburg, and Calyx Mason please report to Class Crescent Moon for debreifing and dispatch? I repeat, would Amanda Farix, Ryuho Nakizawa, Allesandro Winters, Alisa Ravenclaw, Algernon Whittaker, Hero Garner, Adam and Steve Edenburg, and Calyx Mason please report to Class Crescent Moon for debreifing and dispatch? Thank you!" Azusa said over the p.a. system. "Thanks, Azunyan, now Holo, do you think you can turn yourself and Spirit in to students as well and hide your witch soul before the teleportation to Moscow?" Lord Death asked politely. "Of course but Calyx and I will have to do it at the classroom because I'don't have that kind of magic right now." the young witch replied, "What's your plan?" "I was thinking since you are a master tactician you would have a plan." He joked. "I think I do, Azusa are you resonating with Baltor?" "Yes, he is stll using the mirror!" Azusa replied witha start. "Use your Senrigan to map out the whole church for me. We'll go in and try to trap the Kishin, using Ryuho's abilitiy to knock out Aro's power, then capture the amulet and the target." she smiled as she watched Azusa draw the the map.

"She did as was planned." Lord Death said with a somber look upon his face. "We failed you, Lord Death, we lost my mom, Alisa and the emblem." Calyx said sitting on the edge of the dais. "Calyx, come here, Ryuho, had found something in cobblestones where he landed." he said as he handed him a small crystal, "Do you recognize it?" "It couldn't be what I think it is could it?" Calyx said looking at the crystal in the shinigami's large white hand. The moment it his hand it lit up like a small blue sun, causing Calyx's steely blue eyes to flash sky blue. "She gave me some of her power!" Calyx said as he began to cry. "So what's the plan, sir?" " Your mother will be working on the inside and will act as though she is aiding the Kishin to protect you while trying to figure out how to unleash Alisa from his control. Azusa have you heard from my son yet?" Lord Death said realizing that D.T.K. has been missing for months.
