Skills & abilities: Ai has strong Soul Perception, which is especially strong when it comes to witches. She can sense danger easily, has strong reflexes, and her senses are extraordinarily strong; enhanced hearing, sense of smell, touch, and sight.
Appearance: Ai has long brown hair that is always being blown around by the wind. She likes to tie it up with a bright yellow ribbon. She has large eyes that are soulful and full of emotion. When she's excited, they sparkle brightly. Her eyes have no fixed colour - their colour changes according to Ai's surroundings. If she's at a waterfall, for example, her eyes could be blue to match the sky, green to match the grass, golden to match the Sun, or even brown to match her hair. The colour of her eyes is not up to her, really. It's her witch blood.
Ai has a determined set to her mouth, long limbs, and pale skin.
Dress: Ai hates to wear clothes that she thinks will hinder her during missions. Her preferred clothing is a black jacket, a long white-sleeved shirt, jeans, lace-up boots, and a scarf if it's cold. Though she will wear other clothes occasionally, nothing, and I mean
nothing, can persuade her to wear 'girly' clothing.
Soul Type: Ai's soul has a determined face. It is a Grigori soul.
Soul Color: Ai's soul is purple on one side and blue on the other, due to her being half a witch.
Soul Description and Appearance: Ai's soul looks very much like her face, determined yet kind. It's a Grigori soul, which means that it has two angel-like wings at either side, though Ai is not a Death Scythe yet. Its spiritual dimension is a large concert hall, with many different musical instruments on the stage. There are no lights; the concert hall is lit by candles which are not extinguishable. The whole concert hall is draped in purple velvet.
Personality
PERSONALITY
Likes: Ai, being very musically inclined, loves to sing and play various musical instruments, such as the piano, violin, and flute. She has a sweet tooth, and likes sweet stuff, especially chocolate and fruit juice. She also loves cats, going on missions, writing stories, candles, flying, and using her magic, though it is not bad magic.
Dislikes: Ai absolutely hates worms. She also dislikes girly clothes, bitter food and noisy things, like motorcycles with loud engines. Other than that, there's not much she dislikes; she's actually quite flexible.
Personality: Ai's biggest trait is her determination. She fights hard for what is right, and she has quite a firm sense of what is right and what is wrong. As mentioned above, she's very musically inclined, an animal lover, and extremely flexible. She's strong, quick-witted, and very sarcastic to people she doesn't like. She can be very frank, and never tries to sugarcoat her words or hide the truth.
Ai feels that her friends are her world, and as a result is very caring to them. She will do anything for them at a moment's notice, and would run to the ends of the earth if they needed her to. She loves to hang with her friends, and spends much of her time with them.
Ai is not afraid to use her witch magic. Though it is not strong, it can come in handy during battles. She doesn't care what others think of her, especially if they hate her. However, she is willing to accept criticism and avoid her flaws and bad habits. Ai always fights fair; she never tries to use any strange tricks, besides the abilities she has. Also, she never initiates the battle; she will not fight unless the battle is unavoidable.

Crossbow form -
When Ai is in her crossbow form, her left arm will change into the crossbow shown above.
Scythe form -
Soul Resonance Form: During Ai's Soul Resonance, in either crossbow or scythe form, the weapon will change itself to include a harp. By playing the harp, Ai can channel strong musical energy into her attack. Each string is gold plated. The harp is feather-light, so it doesn't affect the weight of the weapon in any way.
In scythe form, an extra frame will materialize on the other side of the scythe, and this is where the strings of the harp will be. In crossbow form, many other strings are attached to the frame of the crossbow.
Soul Resonance Techniques:
-Soul Symphony
This is Ai's strongest attack, and it also requires the most energy. Ai is required to play a full symphony on the harp, which can then channel musical energy into a strong cannon blast aimed at the enemy. Ai never uses this attack unless absolutely necessary, as it drains her of a lot of energy. This attack can only be used once, as after using it Ai will have very little energy left to fight with. If she continues, she might even black out. Failure to pull this attack off successfully almost certainly results in defeat.
-Piano Cage
This Soul Resonance technique is the exact opposite of Light Shield. It allows Ai to enclose the enemy inside a large, rounded cage, much like a giant ribcage. The 'ribs' of the cage look and feel much like piano strings, and every time they are touched, they give off a slight shock much similar to that of Soul Force, only it's not so strong. Like the Light Shield, the cage will disappear after a couple of minutes, which can buy Ai some time. Though the enemy cannot come out from inside unless they use a strong attack to break through the bars, no one from outside can go in, unless they use a strong attack to break through the bars.
-Soul Force
This technique is also used by Professor Stein and Black*Star. By resonating with her own soul, Ai can drive her soul wavelength directly into her opponent's body through physical contact. It can cause strong direct and internal damage if used correctly, though Ai has never reached the point where she can use the Soul Force to the maximum. When Ai is in contact with water, her Soul Force will be even stronger. The attack produces a pain similar to being electrocuted.
-Light Shield
This technique, which is the opposite of Piano Cage, creates a large shield around Ai. The shield appears to be made entirely of light, but is completely impenetrable. However, it only holds up for maximum five minutes, so Ai has to think up a strategy by the time the shield disappears. After it disappears, Ai cannot create it again for a long while. How long is unknown, as the time varies with each battle.
-Broken Record
This attack has proved itself to be very useful to Ai. Even in simple battles with her classmates, she can use this attack to her advantage. By using her soul wavelength, she can combine it with the harp to produce a horrible screeching sound, like that of a bow roughly dragged across a violin. It pierces through her opponents' eardrums and echoes around in their brain, and when tuned to the max, it can even break her opponent's eardrums. The volume of the screeching sound can be adjusted at Ai's will.
-Air Blast
The strength of this attack, like Broken Record, can be adjusted. To use this technique, Ai will strum her fingers across the strings of the harp. Depending on the force which she uses to strum the strings, an air cannon will be blasted at her opponent.
History
HISTORY
Back story: Ai was kidnapped by witches when she was very little. The witches used her as a lab rat over the course of five years, trying to turn her into a witch by pouring their blood into her veins. However, the experiment was interrupted halfway when a team of meisters and weapons from the DWMA crashed the witches' den. Since the witches had originally expected the experiment to last for ten years, planning only to test it out when Ai was eleven, Ai became half a witch.
Ai was brought up by the different staff at DWMA. She never had any special connection to any of them, though. Right now, she's independent, and believes that she can take care of herself.
So begins...
Ai strolled down the hallway, singing softly to herself. She'd just returned after a long mission, and was eager to see the new students in the DWMA and the teachers, though she didn't have any particular connection to any of them.
Suddenly, she bumped headfirst into a tall boy with black hair. Stumbling backward, she rubbed her head. "Sorry!" she apologised profusely to the boy.
"No, it's my fault, I shouldn't have been running in the hall, wait, Ai, is that you?" Calyx said recognizing the young girl to be his childhood friend from the time when his father was a member of the staff at the academy. "How have you been, I haven't seen you in forever, I thought you weren't going to be coming here, would you like to join me and my partners on a mission? Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm just crazy happy to see you!"
Ai grinned. "Calyx! It's so good to see you! I've been away on a very long mission, see. Good to be back, though. Good old DWMA," she said by way of explanation for her long absence. Swinging her long black hair over her shoulder, she considered Calyx's offer. "I don't know, what will you be doing?"
"Well, my partners, this other team, and myself are going to Xaio Ting, China to take down the Urizomo clan, it's maybe insane because nooone has any idea how many kishin eggs there will be. Plus I got to use my 'extracurricular abilities' to take us there, but i will have to do some extra magic math to bring you along unless you get in my bag." Calyx smiled as they headed back towards the dungeon and the vault. "Hey, Calyx, whose the chick?" Adam said as he sauntered over. "Oh, this is my childhood best friend, Ai Mizuhime, she's a demon weapon, just like you guys but she special, she has two forms instead of one. Ai, this is Adam Edenburg, one half of the Edenburg twins, he and his twin brother are elemental demon weapons, fire and ice, we were selected to be paired by the new Lord Death, because of my heritage. " Cal replied introducing the two. "Nice to meet the girl how used to keep my meister from getting beat up on the streets of Death City as children." Adam smiled taking her hand and giving her a huge hug, "I hope you have some hilarious stories about him as a kid, I want to hear them all."
Ai hesitated. "No, I don't think I want to get in your bag." She'd tried once, and it was very uncomfortable. She smiled as the other boy came over. Calyx introduced them, and Ai stuck out her hand awkwardly. "Uh, nice to meet you." Instead, Adam pulled her into a hug. "Well, he's not that bad actually, he can take care of himself for..." she grinned wickedly, "a couple of minutes. Did you know, he's mostly hurt by himself? There was this one time where he did a somersault right into that large tree out there," Ai pointed out the window, "and after he came to, he told me he didn't even see the tree!"
