Caesar Jinx's Story

Elliot had been up since the sun rose. She couldn't help it and Amanda of course spoke up saying how bad it was for her health. The younger response was all ways the same saying how she couldn't get past the excitement. Amanda then rolled her eyes and went to bed, figuring she couldn't stop her sister.

That had been about three hours ago and Amanda was awake again. She walked into the kitchen and saw Elliot in the same position she was hours before. 'Elliot...did you even eat breakfast?'

Her only response was a grunt. 'Fine. I'll get you an apple. Amanda's cheeky grin grew larger as Elliot tipped her chair back and scrambled to grab her sisters hand. 'No! Her bottom lip poked out. 'Anything but that, you know I hate fruits!'

'Then get yourself a bowl of some sweet wheaty goodness.'

A long groan escaped Elliot's lips. 'But sisssss....' Amanda put her finger to Elliot's lips, silencing her. 'No buts. Caesar. can wait.'

Elliot pouted but grabbed a bowl of her favorite cereal. She ate it quickly much to her sisters dismay but she knew it was the best way to get her to eat at all.

She was finished in minutes and gave Amanda a quick hug before rushing out the door. Luckily she had been dressed for hours, and Caesar's house wasn't that far away.

Elliot was there in the fastest time she ever had due to her body shaking with excitment. Once she appeared at this door she knocked loudly three times followed by, 'CAESAR, GET YOUR BUT OUT OF BED!'

Elliot rolled her eyes and shoulder past Caesar into his home. 'Didn't I say not to call me kid?' She sent a wave to his family before turning and shoving him out the already open door. 'Let's go you hothead! It's starting today! '

She shut the door with her foot, it closing with a slam. Once they were out Elliot hooked her arm around Caesar's own, and began the strut to school. 'I can't have you horsing around today Caesar! Neigh I say! Neigh!'

She chuckled at her own joke, and nudged Caesar's side. 'But seriously Caesar, aren't you excited?!'

Elliot rolled her eyes. 'I could be a horse if I wanted to.' She smiled at his excitment that matched her own. 'YEAH!' She said, bouncing up and down. As she did this her glasses slipped off her face, but she easily caught them. A good reflex to have. Then Caesar when off on one of his rants to which Elliot nodded fully invested.

She then chucked as he ran off almost in the wrong direction. 'This way you idiot!' Lurching forward she grabbed Caesar's hand and they both began to dash towards the DWMA. Surprisingly Elliot made it without tripping. She of course knew the way by heart as many of her younger days she'd race to see her sister return, but that still didn't mean she couldn't trip over a lose stone.

With luck on their side they made it within minutes, and Elliot continued to pull Caesar, not giving him time to gaze at the school. 'Orientation is this way! We're gonna find our partners Caesar!'

Without much thought from those on the other side of the door Elliot burst into the orientation room laughing loudly. The duo in the corner when unnoticed as Elliot took in the room. She spread her arms out and twirled, her laughing getting louder as she did.

Elliot's happy spin was stopped, and Caesar gazed down at her with a look of determination. 'Caesar....It's me we're talking about! You know me, I've gotta make it up to my sister because I was to weak to take care of myself five years ago.' Her normally cheerful face wad solemn and it really didn't suit her. 'I owe her that...'

She shook her head and the smile returned ad big as ever. Elliot grabbed Caesar's hand again and tugged him towards the front row of seats. A few people were already sat down but spaces were still open. She practically launched herself into an empty chair, and pulled Caesar down next to her.

At that moment a rather impressive looking man made his way on stage. He spoke on in a bored voice but the look on Elliot's face made it seem like she was listening to the most interesting thing in the world.

By the time he finished Elliot was shaking with excitment. A smile almost covering her face she turned to the duo next to her. Elliot remembered the girl had look very sad earlier. 'Helooooooo! I'm Elliot, a meister!'

The girls handshake was welcomed and Elliot smiled wide. 'Nice to meet a fellow meister! Normally I'm stuck with the hothead weapon!' She motioned to the boy behind who in turn gripped her head. 'Gee Caesar, you sound like Amanda.' Of course anyone who knew Elliot would know this was the highest complement you could get from her. She didn't compare many to her sister.

'As I was sa-' Her voice caught as she saw the girl was gone through it didn't faze her. She just shrugged, a smile still present. The girl looked busy if a but shy. Elliot made a mental note to get Brinne to laugh next she saw her.

Caesar went off again causing Elliot to gasp in mock hurt. 'How dare you sir?! I've been trained by Amanda Tarnis, the best meister to ever live! It isn't our fault we had no weapon.' A brief flash of saddness coursed through Elliot's eyes as she thought back to her sisters weapon and the boy she fawned over. Him leaving really stung her and Amanda. They were both counting on him to be a shoulder to lean on after their parents when missing. No to mention Elliot still couldn't get rid of the strange feeling she had whenever he was talked about, which wasn't very often as only she Amanda really knew him.

But Elliot couldn't afford to think about that. Instead she pointed an finger at Caesar and poked his chest. 'And what about you Mr. No Meister? Hmm? You've got a road ahead of you.' To anyone listening this may of sounded like the beginnings of a fight but really it was playfully banter.

'Go off into my feelings? Psh! She waved him off. 'I've got no time for that. I'm gonna be the second best meister to ever attend the DWMA!' Her grin only widened as he scoffed. 'Excuse me! I can get any weapon I want. Good luck getting one with your hothead buddy you have.'

Elliot was still grinning though it turned into something much more dangerous at the mention of her sister. 'I know I'm not Amanda. But remember I wanted this even before my parents left.'

That was also something about Elliot. She never said her parents disappeared. It was always that they left. She refused to that they disappeared. That meant they were more then likely dead and that was something Elliot would never ever admit to.

'I could get any weapon I want. Just watch.' She grinned cheekily and rushed over to a group of weapon. She butted in next to a red head and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. 'Greetings! Weapons right?' The boy looked uncomfortable and sent a pleading gaze to his fellow weapons. Some grinned in sympathy while others laughed. 'Um...yes we are. He stuttered out.

'Great! How'd you like to be my weapon?' The boy gave a chuckle and unrapped Elliot's arm from his shoulder. 'I'd love to...but uh...I can tell you're a very strong meister. I don't think I'm strong enough for you. As well as my friends.' The other weapons nodded along, some snickering behind their hand.

Elliot of course believed every word. 'Such a shame. Well, you'll get there one day!' She patted the weapon on the back causing him to stumble forward. Not thinking anything was wrong Elliot saluted the weapons, some of whom couldn't hold back their laughed anymore, and made her way back to Caesar.

'See Caesar? They wanted to be my weapon but they saw they would hold me back!' She laughed completely unware of the weapons who were now all laughing at the dimwitted meister who was too stupid to see they didn't want her.
