Description

Image
As a weapon, Yuko is a one handed Scimitar

Name: Yuko Matsumodo
Nickname: Yuu | Ko
Quote: "Tch. You don't even deserve me as a weapon."

Age: 17 Years Old, Though Her Appearance Tends To Make Her Look Older
Classification: Weapon
Partner: Souji Seta

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ ▂ ▂ ▂▂▂

Personality: Yuko has a very straight forward attitude. She is the type of person that will say things without thinking twice, which tends to get her into a lot of trouble, and doesn't ever regret it either, even if she does get punished for it. In some way, she can be called stubborn, fearless, and childish in some ways, since she absolutely hates losing an argue. Basically, to Yuko, everything is a game; you either win or lose, and we're all pretty sure that you wouldn't want to lose any game. This explains her very bossy attitude towards people, even friends and why she also acts so over confident and cocky, with anything, even if she's losing. If she does lose, she'll just blame it on someone else to keep her pride going, though everyone knows that it was her fault in the end. She really is a selfish person.

But that doesn't mean she's always selfish. I'll tell you this right now, she's not one of those 'tsundere' character that will go all soft and embarrassed when she gets compliments or something. Maybe she will blush, once or twice, but she definitely won't do it often. She's a very sturdy person, but when the time comes, she will crack a bit of a soft side to her, but as mentioned, it won't be a tsundere type. She'll be more like a soft motherly type, patting someone on the back, admitting it was her fault, doing small things of that sort. While some people may take her little apologies the wrong way, it actually is a huge thing since she'll hardly submit to anyone.

Looks: Yuko has a very thin figure, being unbelievably thin. She's not too thin though, as if she's anorexic, but she is insanely thin that you could almost see her ribs. She is a pale color, being just hardly a tan, which somehow looks quite good on her because of her body shape. Her eyes are a deep red, contrasting to her light skin color, along with other parts of her clothing like her jeans, the bow on the back of her head, and the bows connected to the different groups of hair she leaves hanging. Usually her long white and messy hair will be put like that; into sections, but at some rare times, like when she's sleeping or something of the sort, she'll let them loose and allow the wavy white hair to do it's own thing. Yuko stands at around 5'8, being quite tall which fits with her figure and voice tone, and weighs somewhere are 109, explaining why she is so skinny. Her daily clothing would be a white shirt with a collar, usually being slightly unbuttoned top and bottom, and red cloth wrapped around her forearms along with red jeans and shoes. As seen, she doesn't quite like wearing feminine clothing, as it sort of disgusts her in some manner.

History: Yuko grew up as a single child only under the care of her father, who was abandoned by his weapon wife because she had found out that he began to drink. It was true, of course, but her father was still a very kind and content man with anything. That is, anything other than being left by his wife who thought he was a complete drunkard and alcoholic. From there, he really did become one of them. He went off for nights without return to gamble, leaving his little odd-looking daughter at home to do whatever she wanted. The things she did was fold any paper she could find (origami), and play with a lighter, leading to her obsession with fire. This also took a toll on her as well since she couldn't reach the food in the top cabinets and had no clue how to cook, which was the reason why she grew to be so skinny.

When she was a child, Yuko didn't really understand why her father was gone for so long, and it didn't really bother her, but as she grew older and older, she understood that her father wasn't the same kind and gentle man as he was. As a child, whenever he did get home, she was usually abused and taken advantage off, being asked to go out of the house and sleep outside, or fetch him another beer from the fridge. She didn't like that after she realized what was going on. This is when she eventually left the house, forgetting she even had a family. From there, she made up backstories, like "My mother and father died when I was still young, so I had to go the orphanage" or "I don't even know who my real parents are, honestly." This is all just to bring away the pain of her memories, which seems to be working as she is now convinced by her own lies. Her father's actions back then also led to Yuko's current stubborn personality, always wanting to be on top and giving the orders rather than being on the bottom. It was only a year or two later that she entered into the academy, thinking it'd be interesting, where she met her first meister, and perhaps someone she could actually call a friend.

Strengths+Talents:
-Strength; Although she may look thin and fragile, Yuko is a very strong person, both in physical ways and mental ways. Even her personality proves her to be strong. She can take on a full grown man, either in combat as a scimitar, or in real life like an arm wrestling contest. Though half her strength is also dependent on Souji, she tends to say that she can carry the both of them if needed, even if she has to do all the work.
-Daring; This can be one of her weaknesses, but it usually helps most the time. Yuko is a very daring person, so she'll want to do things that most people would think insane, or go in an area that others are afraid to go to. She sometimes finds hidden passages because of this curiosity, or daring trait she carries, while other times, unfortunately, it can get her, and the others around her into quite the bit of trouble.

Soul Resonance: Holocaust
Sadly for Yuko, Soul Resonance tends not to happen too many times because of her attitude to everyone, even her partner. But when it does, she, as a weapon, grows much lighter, being perhaps around a simple 7 lbs and a bright and blazing hot flame will emit from her blade. When in this state though, no one else is hurt but the enemy; Yuko is able to control who she wishes to hurt with her fire. When stricken at the ground, a crack will form underneath at most 3 enemies and shoot out red flames this time, and even though blue flames are classified to be hotter than red, Yuko's flames are on a whole different level. But as said before, this hardly happens because of her stubborn personality towards not needing to use it, and when it does happen, it will only be for a short period of time. In other words, during Soul Resonance, Yuko and her meister would have to use any abilities to their advantage as quick as possible before it fades away. Afterwards, Yuko will be nearly worn out at the very least, and passed out at the very most. (She doesn't pass out very often due to her toughness though)

Weaknesses:
♮Fire - She'll drop just about anything to play with fire. In some ways, Yuko is like a child because of this. Fire is just something she simply adores and getting burnt isn't one of her concerns since she never has, somehow.

♮Her Past - If anyone brings up her past, her lies seem to fade in her mind and the harsh reality comes out, causing her to be silent and grow to be a bit annoyed. She'll snap at anyone who tries to talk to her and act like a hostile animal.

♮Confidence - Yuko's confidence is a huge problem for her. She'll got boasting off about she could do this and that when she probably can't, and she also does it during a battle too, which wastes time and gets her into more trouble. Also if her enemy were to offend her, she'd easily get annoyed over that and probably make her battle play a whole lot worse.

Secrets: Yuko doesn't want to tell anyone one thing, even Souji, and that's about her weapon form. She's unstable as a scimitar, even with her strength, because she tends to push herself way too hard just to get things over with in a flash, and over the time, that's apparently done damage to her weapon form, which could easily cause a broken tip of the blade, or a broken arm once she were to revert back to human form.

"I'm gonna be late!" Souji exclaimed, as he grabbed his shoes and slipped them on. He jumped up and made a break out the door shouting bye as he ran off toward the academy. It was past the time that students were supposed to be there. He had been so excited, he hadn't been able to sleep more than an hour. He looked forward to this every since yesterday, so he stayed up all night. He sprinted past people, dodging them easily. He had promised Yuko he would be there early, so she could get assigned with him. Souji let out a sniffle, as he thought of letting her down. He would get it from her, he knew it.

He raced up the stairs quickly, getting there faster then most people. He only caught the last few sentences of Lord death's intro, and that was to find a partner. He was panting heavily as he looked wildly around for a familier face. After a few minutes, he got impatient and pouted, then blinked and looked up at the sun. It was laughing, almost as if to mock him. He let out a huff of air, before jumping up, and on peoples head yelling apologies on the way there. He got up to the front of the crowd, and climbed up the stairs. Turning he faced the crowd, then yelled out in a very loud and annoying voice, as he cupped his mouth to be even louder.

"YUKO-CHAN!! WHERE ARE YOU?! SCREAM IF YOU CAN HERE ME!" His voice easily caught the attention of most people, and the front of the crowd. The blonde simply continued to yell out his partner's name.

"It takes that long to wake up...?" Yuko wondered to herself, looking up at the clock a few times, but simply trying her best to stay patient for Souji since she seemed to be slightly more gentle on him than other people, but that didn't mean she was easy to deal with. Never the less, she continued to wait, tapping her foot and taking out her lighter from her pocket, tossing it in the air and playing with it since she was addicted to fire, in some way, and plus it was a way to pass time since she had no paper to do origami with.

While waiting, she began to wonder strange things like, 'What about happen if I actually got burnt by the lighter?' or 'I'm hungry... What should I eat later in the day...' While she did such, spacing out with an odd face as she leaned on the wall, not noticing people passing by her and looking for partners, someone actually walked up to her; a random older guy who asked, "H-Hey! Mind if we be partners for the year?"

For a moment, Yuko didn't hear him, until a moment later, when she popped out of her thoughts, "What?" She asked, her regular 'I don't really care' tone or 'I'm better than you' tone, "Partner, with you?"

Just for a little while, she actually considered it, but for different reasons than you'd expect. The guy looked hopeful for her to be his partner, but she just sighed, and flipped her hair back since it was getting in the way, "I'm not that selfish to let a certain someone down. But to put it straight, you're not good enough to be my meister anyways, so I'm going to have to decline, kid." She shrugged as she rudely shooed him away, a disappointed look on his face as he began to find another weapon.

Her actions seemed to portray her rudeness, but she didn't really care. That was her usual way of dismissing someone, and she couldn't, and most definitely wouldn't do anything to change her behavior about that. It was her natural self, and surprisingly, some people actually liked that part of her, so she wasn't going to become nice any moment soon. That was certain.

"Ugh... I swear... When I find that little-"

"YUKO-CHAN!! WHERE ARE YOU?! SCREAM IF YOU CAN HERE ME!" A loud screaming stopped her from completing her sentence a little while afterwards. Without a doubt, she knew who was yelling in the crowd to find his partner, but it wasn't exactly the entrance she was expecting.

"Well, better late than never..." She said out loud to herself, but she knew what she was going to hand to the kid when she found him. Yuko began to push through the crowds, pushing people a little out of the way so she could make it through, and when she saw Souji, she immediately shouted just as loud as he did, but with a straight face, "I'm right here, dumb ass!"

The way she grabbed Souji's attention after yelling by walking right up to him and punishing him by grabbing his ear and pulling it down slightly, almost like a mother lecturing a child, "Oi, Oi, you kept me waiting you know. Lucky I declined that one guy's invitation to be his personal weapon and went to you, or I'd be gone, and you'd be searching for another weapon." A moment later, she let go, and said with a smirk, "Lucky I went to you or you'd miss out on having the most skilled weapon in the world, yeah?"

As usually, Yuko bragged about herself, since it was a habit she picked up after leaving home. She always like to speak highly of herself, as if she was the best and the one at the very top. She liked to flatter herself, message her motto, things of that sort that seemed to take her mind off all the bad things that could happen and have happened, even though most people see her as an annoying weapon who just keeps on talking and nagging people.

"What took you so long anyways, huh?" She asked, putting a hand on her hip, "Don't tell me you were getting overly excited for this and got no sleep... Heh, you're such a child." Yuko chuckled, even though she was just a simple year older than him and was hardly any different since she had times where she could sound pretty childish also.

Souji blinked as he heard the firey head girl yell back at him. He had to yell louder? Well alright, if Yuko couldn't hear then it needed to be done. Souji drew in another breath, and was about to yell but stopped as he noticed someone pushing her way through the crowd of students. Then an insult reached his ears before he could yell out once again. There was no doubt about the insult.

"Yuko-chan! I found yo-" He started out, but then stopped as he felt the girl pull at his ears. "Ow! Ow! I'm sorry Yuko-chan...Ow!!" Souji responded waving his arms up and down frantically. It really hurt...He felt himself tearing up a bit, and let out a sniffle. Hearing that another meister tried to get her, made him pout a bit at the thought. "Yuko-chan don't leave me...." He said letting out a little sniffle. He wanted Yuko as his weapon, and no one else. As she let go of his poor abused ear, he rubbed it a bit, feeling waves of pain go through it to his head.

Souji gave her a grin, then exclaimed "It was that obvious I overslept?!" He laughed a bit at he end, scratching the back of his head, as he said "Haha, as always you got me spot on...after all, who wouldn't be excited? We finally get to be an official pair for the year! It's gonna be great!" He stopped rubbing his ear, then turned to the crowd of students once again, before yelling in an obnoxiously loud voice.

"NEVER MIND!! I FOUND YUKO-CHAN!!!" He shot her another grin, then yelled out "YUKO-CHAN'S MY PARTNER! SO DON'T BOTHER ASKING!" He stuck out his tounge like a child to everyone before turning back to her. "Now that everyone knows, let's get on with it! We're the first pair! Haha!" He figured Yuko would be pleased with that info, since she liked to be first place for everything.

"Ow! Ow! I'm sorry Yuko-chan...Ow!!" Souji said as she pulled on his ear.

"You'd better be sorry." She sighed, "I've been waiting here for quite a while, and I'm pretty sure you knew I was going to have to punish you some way, or you'd never learn. Imagine if we were that way as grown ups? We'd really get it then..." Yuko said, imagining what kind of lectures the two of them would get, which caused her to shiver since her imagination of these things were really vast, somehow.

"Well, let's get going, yeah? I think it'd be pretty cool to be the first team on the list, wouldn't you-"

"Yuko-chan don't leave me...."

For a split second, she didn't really know what the heck he was talking about, seeing how she really had no one else to go to, but then realized that it was about her getting asked to partner with someone else and rolled her eyes as she ruffled his blonde hair and said, "Stop pouting over a possibility that doesn't exist. It's energy wasting." Yuko sighed.

It was her usual way of saying don't worry about it. While most people would say something like, 'I'd never leave you!' Yuko would never bring herself to say that. Words like that made her feel slightly awkward, so in replace, she'd call these things, possibilities that don't exist.

"It was that obvious I overslept?!"

"Yup. I can tell." Yuko shrugged, even though half of it was just intuition. She couldn't really see the qualities of him oversleeping, but she just had a strong feeling that he overslept and assumed it without any signs of doubt.

"Haha, as always you got me spot on...after all, who wouldn't be excited? We finally get to be an official pair for the year! It's gonna be great!"

Yuko looked at him for a while before she gave him a half smile and answered, "I suppose I could understand that feeling of excitement, perhaps. And it is true that we're going to be the best team out there, no questions asked. We're going to gather up a bunch of Kishin souls, and I'll probably become the first Death Scythe! That's going to be a promise, for sure." She said, now getting really hyped up since she had always wanted to become a Death Scythe from the beginning, and the bonus was she had a meister she actually like so she'd be used correctly.

While she was talking though, Souji turned around to face the crowd. She didn't really know what he was doing, so she gave him a bit of an odd look until a moment later when he yelled out as she immediately covered her ears after realizing his intentions, "NEVER MIND!! I FOUND YUKO-CHAN!!!"

"W-Who the hell are you yelling too?" She asked before he yelled out again.

"YUKO-CHAN'S MY PARTNER! SO DON'T BOTHER ASKING!"

"Everyone knows, Souji! Everyone knows!" Yuko answered back as if she was in the crowd herself, when she really wasn't, which explained why she grabbed his arm and said, "Come on, come on, I wouldn't accept anyone else's invitation in the end anyways! You don't have to be so loud like that!" It was clear she was embarrassed by her partners yelling since she hid her slightly red face as she ran into the crowd to find a teacher to report to about their partnership for the year.

"Now that everyone knows, let's get on with it! We're the first pair! Haha!"

"Definitely." She liked the word first, so hearing it was definitely something she enjoyed. This made her dash through the crowd even faster, trying to find a teacher, before finding one, who was talking to two other students as she shouted, "Hey! Woman! We've got the first pair of partners right here if you want to give us our classes and names and whatever crap there is to list!" She said rudely, which she always did, even talking to Souji.

It had took a great portion of will power for Lilith to not shout something back at that incredibly obnoxious boy. Looking for someone was thing, but shouting to the world that he found her was just a little over the top. She watched Aki, noticing the disdain in his eyes... did he and the teacher not get along, or something? “i'm Lilith Azura, and this is Aki Kaneshiro.” She said.

Arikaa nodded, writing their names on a clipboard. “We're set with that. If you want to go to the classroom and wait you may... or, if you just want to wait around, that's fine too. Good luck.” She said with a smile, ignoring the stares Aki was giving him. 'So this is Lilim's brat, huh? I remember Death saying we took her in.' She thought to herself. 'Doesn't look like much, but she should prove easy to manipulate. I wonder how much use I'll get out of her before she kills herself out of sheer agony?' The thought almost gave her a twisted, sadistic smile, but she hid it quite well.

As Akira was dismissing them, a rather rude group came up to her, demanding to be put into a class because they were first, or something similar to that. Akira hid her irritation well. “Well, you aren't first to be registered, but you CAN be the first for detention. My class after school.” She said, the smile never leaving her face. “Class Half-Moon. Give me your names.” She ordered.

Lilith gave a slight smile. “School hasn't even begun and someone already has detention?” She looked at the blonde haired boy. “Excellent job. You'll go far, I can tell. What do you want to do, Aki?”

Souji continued to grin as Yuko pulled him off to look for a teacher. He couldn't help but notice her red face, and grinned even more. "You really would have waited for me if I overslept later? Yuko-chan you DO care!" Knowing that his partner may have waited for him more, made him in an even better mood, if that was possible. He couldn't be even smiling wider. Souji wanted to be first pair for Yuko, after all she thrived on herself most of the time. If they were first, it meant Yuko would be in a good mood, and therefore she wouldn't smack Souji that hard when he did something stupid. That's right, When, not if. He knew he would do something stupid sooner or later.

So, as she spoke about being the first death scythe. They got along well, so surely they would have to be the first to create a death scythe. As Yuko yelled out loud to get the teacher's attention, he noticed two other people there. So they were second...Oh CRAP, that wouldn't put Yuko in a better mood.

When the teacher gave Yuko detention, Souji scowled which didn't fit his face at all, before exclaiming "You can't give Yuko-chan detention! She talks like that to everyone! Besides, we don't even know your name lady!" Another one of his traits and bad habits showed up. Talking before actually thinking. Well, if Yuko got detention, that meant he would get detention too, cause there was no way he was going to let her sit alonebored in her class after school.

Arika blinked, the smile still not leaving her face- if nothing else, she was a professional at keeping a smile up. 'So hostile...' She thought to herself. Oh well, some people just flat out didn't like her at first, but she was sure that would eventually change. Some people had been getting better instincts at who she was, but she was always able to convince them otherwise. How many people had she tricked, this past decade or so?

The blonde haired boy shouted at her, saying she couldn't do that to his partner. “So her name is Yuko, is it? Well, don't worry, I didn't plan on making her go alone... but now you BOTH have detention for the next four days. Which is good for me, I was just wondering how I was going to get my classroom floor waxed... and I think the library needs help picking up and organizing books....” She said, already coming up with a large lists of things for them to do. She didn't doubt that those two was going to give her trouble during this year, so it helped to prepared in advance. Maybe they would screw up and have to take remedial lessons. Arika knew of some dangerous ingredients she could have them fetch...

Lilith blinked as Aki asked him a question, and she looked back at the teacher. “No, all I sense is a normal soul. From what Lord Death told me, she's been in this school for an entire decade. I believe her name is Miss Arika. She;s a three star meister too... I hear she was brilliant.” Lilith said.

“This must be our class.” Lilith said, walking through the door, sitting at the very top, crossing her legs over the desk. “Hmm... I wonder what's for lunch...” She said

"You really would have waited for me if I overslept later? Yuko-chan you DO care!" She heard Souji exclaim with

"Idiot!" She scolded him, "You'd make me wait another whole year to be partnered with you! Tch, in some ways I tend wish you weren't my partner, moron!" Yuko said rudely, but as usual, it was just to conceal any other unusual emotions she'd feel, and by other unusual emotions, she means anything other than being 'Up Top,' or annoyed. Two emotions is all Yuko needs in her mind.

After she rudely demanded the teacher for their names to be put down first, she noticed that the other two student seemed to have already logged their selves in before them, making her group second place, which made her frown a little, but she didn't show it was clearly as she used to due to her mood being quite fine at that moment. She knew that a bunch of people didn't enjoy her being in a bad mood, and she didn't like it either, so she tried her hardest not to get too angry.

“Well, you aren't first to be registered, but you CAN be the first for detention. My class after school.”

Yuko wasn't a fan of detention. Well, she didn't hate it, but she didn't like it either. The good things about it was that she could spend her time folding paper, or in other words origami, but the bad thing was that she couldn't do it at home in her own little environment. Plus, she had plans for the day, like sight seeing or climbing the top of DMWA, "That some sort of funny joke, right?" Yuko asked, raising an eyebrow and laughing slightly anxiously, "Well, I'll tell you this right now, it's not very funny, lady."

“Class Half-Moon. Give me your names.”

"You can't give Yuko-chan detention! She talks like that to everyone! Besides, we don't even know your name lady!"

Without warning, Yuko immediately shoved her elbow into his stomach, knowing that he may make the situation worse. Funny since her intuition was right as she face palmed while listening to the teacher.

“So her name is Yuko, is it? Well, don't worry, I didn't plan on making her go alone... but now you BOTH have detention for the next four days. Which is good for me, I was just wondering how I was going to get my classroom floor waxed... and I think the library needs help picking up and organizing books....”

"What!" Yuko exclaimed unbelievably. Now there were two things wrong with this in her eyes; One was that she had no eyes on actually doing chores. All she wanted to do was some origami to pass time in some tiny room. Two was that now her partner was also involved in this. Now Yuko isn't someone to shoulder the blame for anything, but then again, she liked to shoulder for everything, so she was also quite frustrated by this too. Not to mention the two were close, so it was only obvious that she was angry, "My partner was just being stupid. He didn't get very much sleep last night, so would you mind taking him off the list, lady? Well, if you're not, it doesn't matter since we'll only be coming if we feel like it." She smirked, "Later, hag." Yuko gave off a mischievous smile while walking away, a hand in her pocket and another dragging Souji behind her, an annoyed expression on her face.

Yuko was also the type of person to want to give out the orders rather than take them. This is why she tends to hate being the younger person, no matter what type of group, being around adults, and especially being in classes around teachers, who tell just about everyone what to do. In fact, if she didn't have a partner that year, she wouldn't have even think about attending classes.

After a while of walking away from the crowds and the teacher, she finally let go of her partner, raised her hand, as if she was going to slap him right across the face, but lowered her hand after taking a deep breath and simply asked, with seemingly little patience in her voice, "What... the hell... was that?" Yuko honestly did try her best to stay calm, but she had trouble since she didn't grow up that way. It'd be far too hard to change, but she was making little progress, step by step.

Souji grunted a bit in pain, as he felt his partner's elbow dig into his stomach so suddenly. "Ow...What was that for?" Souji asked, giving the girl a pout as he rubbed the side of his stomach. She was so abusive today, his ear was still giving off waves of pain from the earlier punishment from her. As the teacher spoke of there fate of detention his eyes widened and was about to speak up again, but Yuko beat him to it.

Well, he was still half-asleep, which explained why he was espeically not thinking today. All he had wanted to do really was to just register with Yuko, then sleep the rest of the day away in class. Souji glanced at Yuko, giving her a questioning look as she retorted back at the teacher. Though his blue eyes seemed to widen about three inches as the girl spoke her last words. Hag...she had just called the teacher a HAG. That certainly was NOT helping the situation currently, but as he was about to speak up, he felt a hand on his clothes before feeling like a rag doll as he was pulled away by his weapon.

As he was being pulled away, he waved bye to the teacher before saying "Sorry teacher lady!...She didn't mean it!" Hopefully, but Souji was 99.9% sure that Yuko had meant that hag comment...no...scratch that, he knew she meant it completely. He knew she always had a dislike for older people, and of course was never afraid to show it.

As Yuko stopped dragging him, and raised her palm, Souji just braced himself for it. She apparently stopped herself, and her hand dropped. Souji tilted his head in a questioning manner, as she spoke. Souji just let out a laugh then said "I can't let Yuko-chan get detention all alone! We're a team now so I need detention too!" then laughed again before adding "Besides, we are going to ditch anyway right?" He had no qualms about ditching, as long as he got to do something more fun.

Arika let out a slow smile as the two walked off. Oh, they could ditch all they wanted too. Then after a few times, she'd be allowed to petition for an expulsion, and that would be one less Meister and Weapon she would have to deal with. Of course, the hag comment annoyed her, and thus she began plans for a remedial lesson... something involving Volcanoes, she decided. Sje stretched her back, talking with a few other teachers while waiting for more students to show, occasionally registering a few students that came up to her. 'A big turn out this year...' She thought, looking at the students as if wondering how they would look as tree ornaments.

...

"Hmm... I guess you say Lord Death is my foster father... he took me in and gave me a home." She said. She immediately began thinking back to her first time in the Death Room. She had a straight jacket on, her arms bound behind her. Her neck had ropes on it, which two meisters were holding on either side of her. They had just finished telling Death of their witch capture, and Lilith had never been more scared... were witch's really so awful? Was life cursed from the beginning.

The reaper had observed Lilith with silent yellow eyes. "Tell me your story." He said. Lilith complied, telling him everything that had ever happened to her, up to and including her friends death. Her mother had then beat her and left her to die. She didn't leave anything out... she had a feeling she would be dead if she did.

After hours had passed, he simply said. "Release her. She can live at my house. She'll be raised as a Meister from this point on.'
...
Lilith blinked, giving a slight smile as she forced herself into the present day. "So.. yes, I guess I know him a bit well. My mother had kicked me out, so he's really the only one I can come close to calling family. I mean, he never let me call hi 'Father', but i still think of him as one."

Not wanting to go into detail, she gazed at Aki. "Hmm... although I guess now you're my little brother now, huh? I wonder if i should call you 'Little Aki?' she said, suppressing a laugh. "What about you? What was your family like?

"Sorry teacher lady!...She didn't mean it!" Yuko heard Souji yell back at the teacher.

"Yeah I did." She chuckled, glancing back at the woman once or twice with an odd grin on her face that looked like she was only asking for more trouble. Well, technically, Yuko never tried to get into trouble, but over time, it just became apart of her. Trouble was her middle name.

After nearly slapping him across the face, Souji somehow laughed and responded to her, "I can't let Yuko-chan get detention all alone! We're a team now so I need detention too!"

Just for a little bit, Yuko took in his words, thinking about them seriously for a while, but then decided that it was about time she dropped her heavy mood as she put him to the test, "Oho? Really now? So let's say I were to get expelled, would you go along with me, kid? Hmm? And what if I were to drop out as a weapon? What then? What would you do?" She asked, her goal to make him feel uncomfortable just to tease him a bit.

After a spare minute of continuing to say things she figured would place him in a bad position, she burst out laughing and simply patted the blonde's head like she would with a puppy and said, "You're so innocent! L-Like a little angel!" She continued to laugh, actually looking like a regular person for once when she'd usually go around looking like she wanted to fight.

"Besides, we are going to ditch anyway right?"

"Ditch?" Yuko asked, putting her hands in her pockets again, "Well isn't that obvious. Though I didn't take you for someone who would skip anything, even a detention. If I were to be blunt, I thought you were a lot of a goodie-goodie, buuuuut I suppose not. Ditching hours of putting books away sounds fun, wouldn't it?" Yuko asked, thinking about all the fun things they could do rather than organizing things for a teacher, not to mention, a teacher she hated.

"Well, class should be starting, and sadly we're going to have to have to deal with that stupid woman again, but time will pass, I guess." Yuko said, heading back to the main building where the students began to part and head for their classes with their new partners, "Oh, and sorry about all the abuse earlier." She stated, rubbing the back of her neck with a slight guilty feeling, "I didn't really mean to go that far..." She said with a sigh before then walking through the halls after getting through the now smaller crowds of people and opening the doors to the academy, "Now what room was it again.... Ah, right. Half-Moon or something." Yuko murmured to herself and continued walking, speeding up a little bit before finally finding the room.

Yuko looked at the title of the room for a long time, continuously reading the 'Half-Moon' sign and pointed at it and nudging towards it, "It's here." She told Souji before kicking the door open, not minding her odd way of making a first impression on the class, or the teacher. Especially since Yuko had already became enemies with Ms. Airavata, "Yo."

First impressions done right? ... Check.

Without even asking if there were assigned seats or anything of that sort, she took a seat at one of the desks, putting her feet up top and scooting the chair backwards, as if it felt comfortable. She then noticed that to her left were the same two students that first applied before Souji and her. Immediately, she shot them a quick glare, but looked away a minute later.

Unlike most people who would pet the chair or desk next to them for their partner to take a seat next to them, Yuko did no such thing out of her shear stubbornness. It was fine to her if her partner picked a different seat, since she could be a huge embarrassment at times and a huge disappointment, so she had no problems with that. In fact, it'd surprise her more if he chose otherwise.

Yuko also remembered that there was the teacher, Ms. Airavata. The thought of her made her frown again as she put her feet down and laid her head onto the desk. Any other class would have just been fine, but to make an enemy with your home room teacher on the very first day just made her sick to her stomach, "This is terrible...." She complained silently to herself.

Lilith listened as Aki explained his life. Rather than comment, she simply nodded. She knew from experience that , in those situations, saying 'Sorry' doesn't sound geniune, no matter what they had felt. Sometimes, just listening without commenting on it was the best course of action. For his siblings to be killed on a mission... Kishin eggs were usually not that strong o take out a meister or weapon, except in a group. So,,, a witch? That was pure speculation, though. Still, I et the feeling I'll be hearing similar stories throughout the year' Lilith thought to herself. How many people died at the hands of witches? How much sadness do they really bring to everyone?

She felt a cold stare as the ones who ticked off their teacher entered the room, trying to make a huge scene as they stepped in and sat in a manner similar to how Lilith was. Lilith being Lilith, she said. "You know, those who try and put on a big show usually end up as the biggest bunch of losers in the group. So far, you two are off to a good start on that position. Who honestly tries to do something like kick down a door for the sake of it these days, anyway? "

As the girl turned and scowled at her, Lilith smiled and did a mocking pose, winking and doing a peace sign. "Take a picture, darling. It'll last far longer than you will at this rate." She said, the sarcasm never leaving her tone as she stretched out her back.

Souji blinked as he listened to Yuko tell him off even more. He tilted his head to the side, as he thought about it. Would he get expelled with Yuko? He didn't really want to become a top class meister, just a good enough one in a fight. As he opened his mouth to respond though, he felt his hair get ruffled. Was she petting him?

He pouted a bit, before then saying "I'm a puppy now. Woof! I'll follow Yuko-chan!" He grinned at her from ear to ear, before saying "Besides, I can do bad things too! One time I snuck out of my room at 3 AM in teh morning and went to my friend's house...but I got caught and got grounded again." Souji continued babbling on their way to the class to break the silence. Though he jumped in surprise when the door was kicked open by Yuko. he just laughed it off, and followed her to the seats, sitting next to her.

Hearing that girl's comment towards Yuko, made Souji instantly dislike her a bit. He didn't like anyone insulting his friends, and not just anyone his partner. is happy smile instantly faded into a scowl at the red-head girl. Before Yuko could say anything, he retorted with a snort.

"Says the girl that started a fight in the middle of the ceremony...Who's the real loser here, Pinky?" His sky blue eyes easily hardened into a glare, as he spoke. So making enemies on the first day? that was something he could cross of his bucket list.
Image
Aki sighed, as he released his hands from the desk. He leaned on his desk and watched mildly as the door was kicked on. He leaned into the palm of his hand and sighed. He then watched his partner ramble on without thinking, as she commented on the kick. This cannot end well...from what he observed, both of these girls were hot-heads...and they were in the same room...with no adult supervision...

Girls were complicated, his brother taught him that. And as Lilith stood up to continue to taunt the other two in teh room, he inwardly sighed to himself. Now he knew that was 100% true, and actually thanked his brother for warning him. Though the other pair seemed strong...so was it possible to fight to train? He just decided to put his head down, and hopefully pretend hwe was asleep so he wouldn't get involved.

Lilith smiled at the fact that it wasn't the target who responded, but her partner "Actually, i would say the real lose among us would be the one who was shouting at the top of his lungs." She said, her voice never losing that playful edge. But still, she shrugged. "I'll hand it to you, though,, Sticking up for your partner shows a lot about your character. You may be a few cards short of a deck, but you've got enough guts. I wonder how many of the idiots that come through here would do something like that? She said with a smile

She sprung out the chair, landing with her feet on the floor, and she stretched. "A big, strong boy like you wouldn't mind haing a spar with a girl like me, would ya?" She said, her voice mockingly seductive as she winked. She enjoyed messing around with people. Even if they sparred, she was sure she wouldn't go all out, doing her best to simply humiliate the enemy.

She walked over and leaned in close to Aki's ear after seeing him sigh. "What's wrong? Taunt's not your thing? You looked like the type, too. You wanna see if we can actually get him to spar? Come on, it'll be a party!" She promised, wrapping an arm around his shoulder like she was plotting something dastardly.

Aki peered out from his arm, and looked back at Lilith as she spoke about taunting. Yes, he liked taunting but didn't want to be the one who started it.He didn't mind retorting if it was thrown first, but if he started it...it was just out of character for him. From what he was currently was feeling was more of boredom then actual interest in the meister's exchange of words. He figure he would let her talk, and he'd just follow, since either way he could tell this may end in a fight.

As the girl wrapped her arms around him, he simply sighed and offered a shrug, as he said "I don't mind a spar...just leave me out of this conversation..." After saying his part, he let his head go back into the crook of his arm. If the god loved him, then please let them think he was asleep. He knew what usually happen to guys who tried to get into a cat fight. It never was pretty...though since he was the weapon he'd just be the tool used to hit people with. No need to speak at all...though...honestly, he really didn't want to make enemies on the first day.

"You know, those who try and put on a big show usually end up as the biggest bunch of losers in the group. So far, you two are off to a good start on that position. Who honestly tries to do something like kick down a door for the sake of it these days, anyway? "

Yuko lifted her head after seeing the girl to her left, the one who registered before her, speak to her. She gave her another glare, even though she only heard a little bit of what she was saying, but she knew it wasn't good just based off the look she got in return from the girl with red hair. While she would often retort back, but she wasn't exactly in the mood for arguing just yet. She pretty much used all her energy before that class and just wanted to get it over with. That's what explained her grumbling as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand and simply sighed, paying little attention to the girl.

"You know, those who try and put on a big show usually end up as the biggest bunch of losers in the group. So far, you two are off to a good start on that position. Who honestly tries to do something like kick down a door for the sake of it these days, anyway? "

The girl continued to speak, though Yuko continued to ignore her, but it's not as if she definitely didn't hear what she said about her. Even so, she contained any annoyance and went to the teacher's desk, finding a piece of paper, and heading back to her desk, where Souji took a seat next to her.

While she began to fold the paper she took, trying to calm herself down even though she looked pretty calm and content, the girl said one more thing, "Take a picture, darling. It'll last far longer than you will at this rate."

Just then she was on the edge of crushing the paper crane she began to make just out of frustration. Even though her personality was so similar to the girl who was talking to her, she seemed to be annoyed by it. Still, she didn't crush the paper crane, but was about to say something, standing up, before her partner beat her to it.

"Says the girl that started a fight in the middle of the ceremony...Who's the real loser here, Pinky?" Yuko looked at her partner, watching as his expression changed into a glare she didn't see very often.

'Ho.... This kind of looks serious in an odd way...' She thought to herself before sitting back down and finishing her crane. Even though she was being offended, she didn't really feel much anger any more, for some reason.

"Actually, i would say the real lose among us would be the one who was shouting at the top of his lungs. I'll hand it to you, though,, Sticking up for your partner shows a lot about your character. You may be a few cards short of a deck, but you've got enough guts. I wonder how many of the idiots that come through here would do something like that? A big, strong boy like you wouldn't mind haing a spar with a girl like me, would ya?"

That's where she snapped again. Yuko's short fuse tended to make her snap really easily, and especially when that person offended someone close to her, although there were very many people like that. For the second time, Yuko flung off her seat, standing up quite suddenly and said, a little loudly, "You know what? That's a good idea! What better way to ditch detention, yeah? So we'll accept!" She said with a confident look on her face.

First spar of the year? Yuko did feel excited about it. Regardless of what her partner said, she had her eyes set on starting this fight and ending it as the winner, even though the chances of that were unknown. Yuko's confidence could sometimes get the better of herself in battle, while other times it can get her and Souji out of bad situations. Yet than again, the chances of that were also unknown.

Still, it had been a while since Yuko were wielded as an actual weapon, and sometimes going around in a human body could be annoying, so she was looking forward to the fight, if the other team accepted, "Don't chicken out now, you two." She said, smirking at the red haired girl and her partner, "Oh yes, and one more thing; I'd prefer if you weren't to pick on the kid," Yuko referred to Souji, "Because only I'm aloud to do that."

Souji just let out a snort and crossed his arms over his chest. There wasn't anything wrong with what he did earlier, and if memory served right that girl had easily shouted as loud as him to retort back at the yelling. His blue eyes reflected what he was feeling currently, which was pissed off. His sky blue eyes had seem to darken considerably, as he stood up to glare at the girl and size her up. As he opened his mouth to voice out his thought, Yuko beat him to it by accepting the girl's challenge.

Well, he was gonna do that anyway. He didn't like the way the girl looked down on them, simply for being themselves. His mouth was pressed in a tight line, as he continued to glare at the other meister. He wasn't so mad at the insults himself, he knew he wasn't as smart as the next person, but the fact that annoyed him was this girl actually thought she had a right to judge them. She didn't look that tough either, and her partner wasn't even paying attention to what what being spoken! Some great teamwork there.

"Pinky, cause when we beat you...i'll make sure you eat your words!" Souji retorted, before glancing at Yuko. It was true, usually the only person that pick on him was Yuko, and no one else. He did get picked on sometimes but other people, but usually just ran away and have Yuko deal with them later. He knew how to use his soul force slightly now, maybe not completely control but enough to get by in a fight. Plus, that partner she had was a scythe, that he had seen during that little scrap outside.

Scytehs were good and fine, but easy to dodge. It helped him, since a scythe did mid-range attacks. It was easy to counter a scythe by doing close combat, and fortunately, Yuko and him were made for that aspect of fighting.

"We just need to get a teacher to watch us, and after that i'll make sure to spread it that the great Pinky and Red over there lost to us!" Blue fire shone in his eyes, as he pointed at the other pair. He was tempted to flip his fist upward, and shoot them the bad finger, but thought against it.

Well, she definatly pissed them off. That was definatly going to work in Lilith's favor. Angry people tended to make for berserker people. That was never good in a fight. Those two got angry really fast, which was sad, since most of what Lilith had been saying was merely teasing... but Lilith couldn't really say that, or she'd seem like a wuss. Oh well, it was what it was

"Oh there, you see, Aki?" She said, rubbing his hair a little. "They DO want to spar, so stop acting like you're asleep and let's get going!" She said in a rather quiet tone, not wanting to annoy her partner too much on the same day. "Let's go find a teacher to watch the match." She said, walking out of the building,

She whispered into Aki's ears. "If you have any special tricks to your scythe, now would be the time to tell me." She said midway through the hallway. Eventually she found Her homeroom teacher, Miss Arivata ,and requested her to watch a duel.

The witch smiled at the request. "Sure, I'll bear witness to the first official fight of the year." She said. That was too perfect! There were loads of chances for an 'accident' t occur during a fight at the beginning of the year. The question was, who was she going to sabotage, Lilith or the other two that had royally pissed her off earlier? Both were really good options.

"By the way, why do you keep calling me pinky? I mean, if you're colorblind or tone blind, lemme know, cuz I don't want to make an insult based on an actual physical problem." Lilith said, facing the kid. If not, then she was defiantly going to make a joke about his eyes... but it was always best to ask first. She stretched, winking at Souji and mockingly blew him a kiss., then turned to Aki. "Are you ready?"

Aki sighed, as he felt the girl ruffle his head. He sat back up and yawned glancing at the pair. He wished silently that he had fallen asleep, that way he wouldn't need to be seen a hot-head like his meister. "...." He looked at the other meister and weapon pair, staring a bit at them to just look at their souls. The meister's soul was a sky blue color, with flashes of white that made it look like a sky enclosed him. It was quite strong though. The girl's soul...looked like a ball of fire surronded her.

"...I thought the fight was going to be after school?" Aki asked, as he caught up with Lilith. With another yawn, his mouth pulled into a tight line as he looked at the home room teacher again. He still didn't like her, probably never would.

He stuck one of his hands in his pockets, and brought up his other hand. Putting it like a gun, he closed one eye and aimed for the teacher, and pretended to shoot her. It was to show his scythe's form secret of a sniper gun. After all, being a scythe, it meant he could do mid-range combat, but with his gun ability he could do a long-type distance if needed.

"Pinky, cause when we beat you...i'll make sure you eat your words!"

"Damn right we will!" Yuko said, no doubt that they'd lose, though, still, it was still a possibility, but a possibility that she never saw in the cards for them. Win this, win that, win everything; that's the way Yuko's mind worked. Then in second came, be first in this, be first in that, be first in everything. Competition was her life, and losing was most definitely not something she had planned out for her victory career, if such a thing actually existed and could apply to a person like her.

"We just need to get a teacher to watch us, and after that i'll make sure to spread it that the great Pinky and Red over there lost to us!"

It had been a while since Yuko last saw her partner with such ambition in his eyes, so seeing a new expression other than pouting and smiling, though nothing was wrong with that, got her hyped up as well. She chuckled and pulled him in for a little noogie and saying, "You're getting so feisty all of a sudden, Sou!" She called him by him by his nickname just for fun, even though she usually called his full name, despite how long she left it was, "Heh, that loud mouth girly's gonna lose."

Now, before making any assumptions, Yuko wasn't someone to humiliate others, even though, as terrible it may sound, she found it humorous, in some ways. But still, she never did it purposely, unless it was someone she absolutely hated, and there were still hardly any she actually hated, surprisingly. Even the teacher. She did had a slight dislike for the red haired girl, but she still found her fun to talk to, even though that was also arguing. The funnest people to deal with were the people the same was you, is what Yuko would usually think.

A moment later, she noticed that the two were heading out of the classroom, 'Oh, then we're doing it now?' She wondered to herself before a mischievous grin appeared on her face, "Well there's no harm in that. We get the first battle after all!" Yuko said, jumping on top of the desk and hopping to the one below that one, and the next, and the next, until she was on the class room floor and headed out the door, signaling for Souji to follow her while she followed the other pair.

But out of all teachers to choose to host the match... it just had to be their lovely homeroom teacher, Ms. Airavata, the one who had a grudge against Yuko, apparently, and the one who Yuko had a grudge against. Just thinking about this match now made her forehead hurt, or perhaps there was another reason to why she facepalmed, 'Whatever. Whatever. I'll just win this match and get it over with. Real quick.'

"By the way, why do you keep calling me pinky? I mean, if you're colorblind or tone blind, lemme know, cuz I don't want to make an insult based on an actual physical problem." The red hair girl talked to Souji again.

Or, perhaps Yuko did really hate the red haired girl? She wanted to believe so, even though she knew she didn't. She was just going through her usual 'Daily 24/7 Annoyance of Everyone Around Her Phase.' Though what she said before didn't bother her too much, her flirtatious gestures towards him definitely did get her annoyed, even though it was meant to be a tease or joke. After all, Yuko was the only one who could joke about Souji in her mind, "Oi! Oi! Hag!" She called down the hall to Ms. Airavata, "Start the fight now! Lets get outside! I have a feeling I'll have better battle play when I'm frustrated with my opponent!"

That was probably not true since she was usually sloppier when she was annoyed, but when she got annoyed, she was almost like a drunk young woman; she'd do illogical things without thinking about it at all. That went the same with her fighting; if she was annoyed, she'd start things without even realizing her chances of succession. Well, to put it bluntly, she was worse when angry. But who wouldn't get annoyed if some stranger was teasing your friend? Technically Yuko would probably destroy something, but her ways of the 'Definite Chaos' were over, so starting a fight blindly was probably the best choice she could have made rather than punch through a wall.
