Introduction

Introduction:
The year, for humanity, is 180 AFC: After First Contact. Earth and her colonies are now a member state of the Galactic Alliance, an economic and political union of various countries and species across the galaxy. What was once a strongest supernation in the world, the Galactic Alliance now faces economic depression and political chaos, brought on by the now twenty year old war against the largest military force the galaxy has ever known: The Zerak Empire, lead by a single race, the Zerakodians. They are blessed with powers of the mind, as are many of the galaxies sentient species, telekinesis, control over nature and her elements, and even the power to invade one's thoughts. Their powers, mixed with their impeccable social and political control over their conquered worlds make the Zerakodians a powerful foe for the chaotic Galactic Alliance. Humanity must do all it can, along with it's fellow Alliance species, to rid the world of the Zerak Empire. Of course, amidst the chaos is the Duchess, a pirate vessel, ignorant of the political state of the worlds or what war is being fought where. The Duchess and her crew are, or were, pirates of all species and origins, all joined in the hopes of making illegal profit. Unfortunately, the Duchess and her crew have been experiencing slight difficult on the profit front as of late, and after another spectacularly self-defeating adventure, they head to the planet of Anisary Eight, the city capital of the Galactic Alliance, in hopes of rebuilding their ship and recruiting more able-bodied crew mates...

Species:
Gambons
Home World: Gambodia
Gambodian Culture, The Kingdom of Gambon:
Gambon's have a vast colonial empire, with citizens of all species. However, citizens of the empire that are not Gambon almost exclusively make up the lowest classes of their class system, at the top of which are the Gambodian nobility. The Gambon's vast prosperous empire mixed with their theories of Gambodian superiority have led to a rocky relationship both with the Galactic Alliance and most other space nations.
Description: The Gambons are a stocky, short humanoid people. Their eyes are large and pitch black, their soft skin shades of pale red and pink. The hair on Gambon's is typically wild and curly, from their eyebrows to their arm hair. Male Gambon's typically have beards of bright colors. They have two legs and feet and two arms and hands, with four toes and fingers, each respectively. Gambons stand at around five foot tall and weigh between eighty and one-hundred pounds.

Zerakodians
Home World: Zonillia
Zerakodians Culture, The Zerak Empire:
The Zerakodians are warrior people, with each member of their society having to prove themselves in combat in a young age. This view they have on all things, including the worlds they conquered, and the alien species upon them, most of which were enslaved. All those under Zerakodian rule must either prove themselves or die. The Emperor himself is also faced with this philosophy, and can be openly challenged by a member of his council at any time, though he has yet to be dethroned. After continuos scrutiny from the Galactic Alliance the Zerakodians declared war, and so far have seemed to be evenly matched.
Description: The Zerakodians are a muscular, intelligent humanoid people. Their eyes are typically colors of red and orange, and their cold, rubbery skin ranges in shades of purple and blue. Males have white-bone horns extending from both their forehead and jaw, while females only have horns from the forehead. The Holahan's are known as advanced ship mechanics and thrill-seekers throughout the galaxy, with many of the top brand ships coming from their world. In the Galactic Alliance the Holahan's do not have a member on the Leader Council, as they are considered one of the least important member species.

The Rindican have had a very positive relationship with the Galactic Alliance, though they have never joined in fear of become, according to them, as corrupted.

Omenus
Home World: Anisary Eight
Omenus Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Omenus are a logical, diplomatic people. Description: The Omenus are a tall, diplomatic humanoid people. Their large eyes are colored brightly in aquatic colors, illuminated from within, and their smooth skin is typically shades of pale beige, with their mouths curving below their tall noses. They stand at roughly seven foot tall, and weight between one hundred and thirty to one hundred and fifty pounds.

Posonids
Home World: Wrileen
Posonid Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Posonids are a capitalist, moral bankrupt people. They have a history of warfare, conquest, and colonization on their homeworld, though through those events they did not emerge with a spectacular military, but rather an advanced understanding of trade and the value of currency. Now, the Posonid homeworld is ruled by the richest, and almost all Posonids are out to make money, be it by legal or illegal means. The so called servant species of the Posonids, coming from the same homeworld, are the Oradess, who have been slaves in Posonid culture for hundreds of years. The Galactic Alliance, though generally disapproving of the Posonid slave trade, allows it to flourish throughout Alliance planets, due to their reliance on Posonid economic strategy and their colonies bustling economies. The Posonid's are among the four species on the Galactic Alliance's Leader Council.
Description: The Posonids are a intelligent, business minded people. Their eyes are usually black or brown dots, and their heads resemble various forms of aquatic and fish life, with their skin range matching appropriately. Their mouths are wide and fitted with razor sharp teeth, and they are typically hairless. They have two legs and two arms, with four fingers and toes on each respectively. They typically stand at around seven to eight feet, and they weigh between one hundred and one hundred and twenty pounds.

Oradess
Home World: Wrileen
Oradess Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Oradess a servant slave species for the Posonids. Their history before the wars on their shared homeworld with the Posonids have all but been lost, the result of the wars being the enslavement of the entire species. The Posonids have been reasonable masters, and it is part of Oradess culture that each Oradess has an owner, a family that they belong to and serve. In servitude the Oradess have been extremely passive, with rebellion and violence almost unrecognizable to them. Very few free Oradess exist, and they are the only species in the Galactic Alliance that fit the criteria of slave race.

They typically stand at around five feet and ten inches, and weigh between one hundred and twenty and one hundred and forty pounds.

Cavenians

The Cavenian's are known as the youngest and most unknowing of the sentient species, having only made first contact ten years ago. The Cavenian's are generally peace loving, having the fewest recorded wars of any advanced species to ever exist. Having been exposed to the world just ten years ago, the Cavenians have a generally less knowing, and less fearful view of what the galaxy has to offer. The Cavenians have made several requests to join the Galactic Alliance, all of which have been rejected, due to the Alliance's fear that the Cavenian's failing economy and lack of military strength will weaken them in their war with the Zerak Empire.
Description: The Cavenians are graceful, human sized people with their heads held high atop of their long necks. Their heads are adorned with feathers in the same way hair would, the females with longer feathers f bright colors while the males typically have pale feathers. The scaly skin on their long limbs, tiny bodies, and long tails vary in shades of gray and the skin is difficult to penetrate. They have white eyes with iridescent specks scattered across the eyeball, their faces are long with large nostrils, and their teeth are dull and flat. They have a dainty walk and tend to walk at a leisurely pace. A peaceful race, they try to stay out of all affairs although they will give an opinion if asked of them.

Ensindijee
Home World: Krostava
Ensindijee Culture, The Universal Kingdom:
The Ensindijee are an ancient species, and the first to have made first contact, with the Rajako, thousands of years ago. They forged the first Galactic Empire and colonized hundreds of planets. However, countless revolts and rebellions eventually led to the end of their colonial supremacy, until they were left alone on their home world. Now, even their home world has fallen into decay, with most Ensindijee surviving off scavenging to survive and make profit with the world beyond their skies. Still, the supremacy of the Empire lives on in their culture, and the belief that their King holds power on a galactic level is still prevalent. The Galactic Alliance has refused to acknowledge the existence of the Universal Kingdom, and the Ensindijee are almost universally disliked by the other species of the galaxy.
Description: The Ensindijee are a tall, ancient race of insectoid people. Their heads are triangular with an eye located on each side of their head and one on their forehead. Their skin is dull and metallic. Their bodies are top heavy and long. They have two antennae atop their heads used for transmitting information to one another. Their arms are long and bladelike causing them to use telekinesis to latch on to objects. They stand at roughly eleven feet and weigh around five hundred pounds.

Rajako
Home World: Jenario
Rajako Culture, The Rajan:
The Rajako are self-helping, individualistic species, with each one typically leaving their family, and their homeworld, at a young age to carve out their own profit and kingdom. As such the Rajako are widespread throughout the galaxy, with the dream of each to own their own Kingdom, with their own slaves and servants. The Rajan itself has been ruled by old families for many years and has been a long term ally of the Zerak Empire.
Description: The Rajako are a massive, distinctive people. Their bodies themselves sit as though they were brown piles of fat, with their faces at the top of the pile and two skinny hands coming out at the midway point. At their bottom they have five hundred fat tentacles, each with three separations at their end, which they can use to glide about on surfaces or to use as additional hands. Their eyes are typically small and bright colors of red, green, blue, and pink, and their mouths are large and filled with massive teeth. Their noses are wide and fat, and their skin is typically shades of green or brown. They stand at about eleven feet, and weigh roughly three hundred pounds.

Enofha
Home planet: Enofhia
Enofha Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Enofha are relatively young species, having made first contact just a few years after Humanity. Since then they have colonized many worlds, have built up a modest military, and have had continuos prosperity for their people. Since their emergence they have been recognized as an eager species, impatient to advance and prove their worth to the galaxy, which other species have seen as a threat. Still, the Galactic Alliance recently inducted them into the four Leader Council species. Since the outbreak of the war, the Enofha have been on the front lines to combat the Zerak offensive. They have gained the reputation as both Humanity's closest ally and rival.
Description: The Enofha have no limbs, their body consisting of a thin physical being with see-through skin in which veins can be seen running throughout. They have a milky white coloring and float, rarely touching the ground except when they are dying or dead. On one surface, the Enofha have human like faces with large eyes that make up half of their faces. They have large noses and tiny mouths.

Engreint
Home World: Marient
Engreint Culture, The Engreint Empire:
The Engreint's are divided species, with their people marked into several different castes, from Nobles at the top, to Slumlords at the bottom. The Engreint division of it's people has made it a self loathing empire, with the higher ranked castes refusing to even speak to the lower. This problematic division has caused their diplomacy with the Galactic Alliance to be nearly nonexistent. Most Engreint's never leave world, due to the Empire's isolation and lack of contact with the Alliance, and those who due often still enter the galaxy with the caste system in mind, making them a despised species by the more civilized peoples of the galaxy.
Description: The Engreints are a subterranean, slime-skinned race of people. They have averaged sized, colorless eyes and large sensitive ears and snouts used for finding their way in darkened underground tunnels. The Engreint homeworld is inhospitable topside to living creatures. Only underneath the planet can any living species thrive, which is where the Engrients built their civilization. They have large tusks jutting out of their lower jaw and smooth slimelike skin. They shift from walking bipedal and quadrapedal, whatever gets them around quickest. Their hands bear large claws used for digging tunnels underground. On all fours they stand at around eight feet tall and on their hind legs they stand roughly at nine feet. They weigh around three hundred to four hundred pounds.

Humans
Home World: Earth
Human Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Humans are a young, economically depressed species. Having made first contact less than two hundred years ago, Humanity is the third youngest advanced species in the galaxy to have emerged. In their time they have managed to build up a sizable military and create a moderately sized colonial empire. Throughout their galactic history weak economic policies have caused depression and poverty to be rampant within the Human colonies, and often times they have been accused of hurting the Galactic Alliance more than they benefited it. In the war with the Zerak Empire they have avoided battle when possible, often taking a defensive approach, as opposed to the aggressive stance of the front lining Enofha, who Humanity considers to be it's greatest rival.

Nesros
Home World: Shoeka
Nesros Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Nesros are the founding species of the Galactic Alliance. Though throughout history they have been a weak and uninfluential species, with the formation of the Galactic Alliance they managed to gain the title of the Galaxy's most civilized species. The Nesros have a cold, uncaring view of the world, and are known for their lack of belief and skepticism of the unknown or the theoretical. The Nesros are the Leader of the four races of the Galactic Alliance's Leader Council.
Description: The Nesros are an ancient, wizened avian people. Their skin is a scaly, colored with dull shade of yellow and their eyes are black and piercing. They each have a medium sized beak with most males having the beginnings of a curling beard underneath it. All Nesros have thin strands of wiry hair atop their head. They are typically slightly over five feet in length and weigh between one hundred and thirty to one hundred and ten pounds. Their species is a long lasting one and it is not uncommon to find one over one thousand years old.

Robots
Various types and builds of robots are rampant throughout the Galaxy.

"Well..." Brufflint muttered awkwardly, looking over the comatose bodies of Captain Beth and Rescha. The uneasy tension was broken by the loud din of the ship's navigation system. Swiveling around, Brufflint rushes towards the nav-computer. "The systems...they're fully operational! Restarting!" He then rushed over to check the fuel gauge.

"The thrusters are fully operational! This pilot light is reading green! It's lit! The combustion thread's been revived! For how long, who can say? But we have to make the best of it and make a jump now!" Brufflin shouted as he crawled over to the main controls of the ship. Several Military Class Silver Sigint Cruisers, the main cruisers of the Galactic Alliance started to approach, their heat signatures blaring like a bright red rash across the nav-screen.

"Oh and I'd advise you lot to hang on to something or fasten your seatbelts!" Brufflint called back, as the rusting death trap of a ship nearly flipped over, it's underbelly diving under the the Sigint Cruisers. "Calculating..." Brufflint muttered as they. "Jumping point located!"

A green crackle of light engulfed the ship. The Sigint Cruiser's had taken a moment to catch what exactly these pirates were planning, but a moment was all that was needed for the old ship to carve a hole through space-time and jump through. In front of the pirates' very eyes the darkness of space became a bright light that slowly enveloped them until they were suddenly transported in the midst of a sea of stars. Beneath them was a small planet, home to a plentiful colony of merchants. The perfect docking zone for an unruly sack of plunderers such as the Duchess and it's crew.

Then the engine blew out. And the Duchess and it's makeshift crew descended back towards the colony, crashing into a field of crops. Luckily, the crew survived. The crops however...
