Personality

Alan can be cold and heartless or he can be nice and friendly, just depends on if he is wearing his glasses. If he is not wearing his glasses, he'll become a puppeteer that could easily sway your mind with simple words or agitate you and make you hurt your own friends. When wearing his glasses he is a calm and laid back guy that would try to save people, even if he can barely use his abilities in the light. Eventually his both personalities will clash and form one personality, but that wont happen until later on.

When wearing his glasses he'll become a calm and spaced out person who really has no goal, besides just kicking back and relaxing. He has no worries, but can't use most of his magic when subjected to light due to his magic being shadow magic. He will always be wearing a smile when in this state and will speak with a calm voice. Usually he doesn't mind being pushed over when in this state, but do not expect the same thing when the glasses come off. He may not mind now, but when his glasses are off he'll try to get revenge on you. He developed this persona to prove that he is not a bad child, instead that he is a good and innocent calm and spaced out child. Do not be fooled, he has done terrible things to people as a child to survive.

When the glasses he wears are forced off of him, he will become a more cynical type of person who could use words to manipulate you into doing whatever he wants, since he was always forced to lie and cheat to get things done as a child he developed a second persona to cope with the fact that he has done many bad things. He is known to be able to come up with a perfect strategy and be able to use his magic to his advantage, but he will not be able to hurt the people he sees as friends even if he tries as hard as he can. He has a pessimistic outlook on things that he got from seeing what sort of monsters people could be, but instead of trying to make the world a better place he decided to use a saying he heard someone on the street who saved him say "Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, evil for evil." He believes in this creed a lot, since it was the first advice someone gave to him to survive. Unluckily for him, the creed helped solve a lot of his problems which only helped further the bad things the broken child would do.
When his personalities become one something interesting will happen, but you shall just have to wait and see to learn what becomes of him.

Equipment

A knife that has a long ribbon tied to it, since the ribbon leaves a shadow. He uses the shadow left by the knife to travel from place to place.
He has a sword that he uses when it's day, since his magic is pretty limited at daylight. Even though he's pretty terrible at using a sword.
The glasses that control his personality.

History

Alan is a descendant of one of the mages who considers the thing that wishes to destroy this realm a friend, in fact Alan's father is the host for this thing. Alan's father only cares about gaining power and has the same sort of personality that Alan has without his glasses, except his father is more powerful then Alan considering he is the host for the "thing". The words he most remembers from his childhood are "Eye for Eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, evil for evil."
Alan never knew who his father was, being abandoned for being weak. Although he wasn't weak, instead they never knew that he had a lot of power in shadow magic. Due to being abandoned he was taken in by a pickpocket by the name of Volvo, since Volvo was a pickpocket Alan also began to learn how to pickpocket and steal to survive. Volvo was a poor man who couldn't see, instead he saw by using earth magic to replace his eyes. He could never get a job due to not having eyes, but he could see without them. The people who he asked for jobs with didn't want him working there, even if they felt pity for the blind pickpocket. Whenever they refused him Volvo pickpocket them to show that you shouldn't act with malice towards a disabled person. He never used this fact to justify that he was a pickpocket, instead he knew what he did was wrong. He didn't care though, even if it was wrong, it helped get medicine to cure his dog's illness and that was something he cared deeply about doing. From Volvo is where Alan learned to be a sneaky and conniving child, even if Volvo didn't want Alan to become anything like Volvo. Volvo tried explaining to Alan that pickpocketing was wrong, but Alan didn't care as long as he could be of service to Volvo. One day Volvo was killed by a group of bandits, but they did something stupid leaving Alan with nothing to lose. That is the day when Alan lost control of his magic and made shadows engulf the bandits completely, then he made the shadows become solid and become spikes that were aimed at the foolish bandit group. Their bodies were found in the town square completely mangled.
After this he was found by a well known magician who helped those in need, of course the magician took Alan in and saw what he could do. The magician decided that he would have to help Alan break free of his habit of pickpocketing and help him control his magic more. The man helped Alan get his calm and laid back attitude towards the world, but the magician had to cast a spell on something that would help Alan control his personality better. The magician decided to use glasses for the spell and the glasses now caused Alan to be calm and laid back. It was better then him being a cynical and manipulative monster like his father is. He traveled a lot with the well known magician and saw what sort of impact the magician left on people's lives, since he saw how the people were filled with happiness and trust for the world he decided to try and help as well. He couldn't quite do the same thing as the well known magician due to his magic being used for killing and not helping. This is when the magician decided to send Alan to this academy to improve Alan's control and use over his power. When he came to this school he came wearing his glasses and being calm and laid back, but some people needed someone to vent their frustation on and used poor Alan. They were stupid in taking away his glasses from him, especially since they did that at night. He quickly showed the elite mages what he was capable of, but no one knows that it was him who made the poor elite magicians become so beat up and the magicians never bother him anymore after what he has done to them. This isn't the only time he has been forced to take off his glasses, but those times the people didn't know who he was and expected him to be a weak training dummy. He has earned the name Anomynous Shadow, but no one knows it's him who is this Anomynous Shadow. Besides who expect and innocent calm and laid back person to cause so much damage?

So begins...

This place, was interesting. He saw a fight break out between some fire users and some ice user. He heard rumors about a phoenix and dragon, so he guessed that the two powerful fire users were the dragon and the phoenix. He wrote this down in his notebook and drew their details. He saw the ice magic user and wrote his name down as well. He was a fairly new student here, only being here a week or so. People still gave him the nickname the Anonymous Shadow, but of course no one knows who the Anonymous Shadow really is. He intends to keep it like that, since he doesn't want people randomly picking fights with him. He was wearing his glasses and he felt like making new friends. He walked directly past the fighting kids there making sure to not interfere, but he said a quick "Hi" as he walked past them hoping not to distract them from their fight too much. It was really just a reflex to say hi to the people nearest to him. He hoped someone wouldn't knock off his glasses and cause his change in personality, but he knew that it would eventually happen. That was why he needed someone to be able to put the glasses on him in case he had them removed, but he slipped on some water "Ouch." That hurt a bit and now his clothes were wet "Just great, exactly what I needed today." He wondered how the ground could be wet when it was such a sunny day, and he thought that it didn't rain yesterday. He wasn't fully woken up yet and was still a bit slow on picking up things. "Oh a water user did this, they don't have the decency to clean up after themselves." He was annoyed, but not too much. He quickly rubbed it off and continued walking. He hoped people wouldn't bully him and take his glasses away from him or they may be forced to know who the Anonymous Shadow is, but he was optimistic about this school and thought that nothing like that would ever happen. Just as he finished that thought some kid pushed him out of the kid's way "Crap and just when I was beginning to have high hopes for this school." he mumbled that under his breath. The conversation was as follows

"What did you say punk? It better be I'm sorry or your going to regret ever stepping in my way." The boy was a cocky earth magic user who thought he was better then everyone else due to him being a third level student.
"Isn't this kid from class one? " Said one of the goons following this earth magic user
"I'm sorry I bumped into you, won't happen again." Alan replied with that, he wasn't trying to get into any fights today. He didn't care what his reputation was at all and said this with a calm tone to his voice, he wasn't scared for himself. He was scared he might hurt this kid if his other personality was let loose.
" Sorry wont cut it weakling, let's say I get those glasses and we call it even." The Earth magic user was getting too close to Alan's glasses for comfort.
"You can't have them, they're important to me, now may I please leave?" Alan tried escaping and perhaps avoiding any conflict.
" You're not getting away that easily punk, now that you told me those glasses are important to you I will definitely take them." The Earth magic user removed Alan's glasses causing the personality that was suppressed by them to appear before the earth magic user.
" You shouldn't have done that you power hungry imbecile." He was looking down at the ground when he said this and in his eyes were a wicked look. He was angered at this prick for not allowing him to leave peacefully.
Alan quickly punched the level three bully in his chest effectively knocking the air out of him. " You shouldn't leave your body open to attacks like this."
He then grabbed his knife and threw it far away to escape the situation by riding the shadow cast by the knife and the ribbon tied to it. Before he could teleport he used his blood to initiate the spell.
He thought he wouldn't need to use his magic for this fight, but he was wrong. The earth magic user got up quickly and recovered.
" You prick, you just angered a level three earth magic user." The bully was prepared to attack Alan and used his magic to pin Alan to the ground.
"Let go of me or you shall suffer the consequences." Alan had the upper hand here, his blood already dripped on to both of their shadows and he could easily incapacitate the earth magic user.
" What makes you think I'll do something as stupid as that?" The earth magic user was clearly underestimating Alan.
"Never underestimate your enemies or you may get killed, fool." Alan said this using the shadows cast by the earth magic user against the earth magic user himself. The earth magic user's pride must've been torn to shreds at that moment. Alan guessed he was only in that level due to the earth magic user being a bully.
Alan put on his glasses once again, and escaped using the shadow of his thrown knife's ribbon to leave this place. His knife led him to a tavern "Good, I need something to calm me down." He said this sighing at the trouble that people caused him today.

Face flushing furiously from the Tieria’s rational logic; the little blonde pulled the lug of a teenager against her as she struggled back uphill. Quietly, her head bowed in embarrassment as one foot twisted under the boy’s weight and she pushed him lightly against her shoulder. He hissed again in pain, and she spoke gently in an attempt to sooth him as they found a place to sit in the grass.

“Rest for a bit,” she said, easing him down. “We’ll find the nurse to look at your chest later.” Ignoring the throb of her ankle, she gazed at the remaining battles. 'Friend', she thought remembering Tieria's comment. She barely knew the fellow. She just didn’t want him hurt. She didn’t want anybody to end up getting hurt. But of course she wouldn’t be able to help that. Looking on at the battles, she watched a new stranger wander by.

He seemed friendly enough. He said hello to the fighters but immediately slipped on the mess she had accidently left behind. Popping up in her spot, she shouted down at him an apology, “Oh! Sweetheart, are you okay? I didn’t—“

He hadn’t heard her but picked himself up, immediately walked into yet another bigot of an Earth magic user. There was a bit of a spat and it seemed the young man was going to end up pummeled on the ground. However, the Earth magic user snatched the boy’s glasses.

In a few violent instances, this demon of a shadow elemental appeared and quickly fought his way to the upper hand. The entire fight was only maybe twenty seconds in her eyes before he had slipped the glasses back on and disappeared into thin air.

Delicately, she lowered herself into the grass, cerulean eyes wide. ‘Such a rare element,’ she said with a breath. The fire elemental laying in the grass beside her had fallen asleep, oblivious to the identity of the winner of the last battle. Though she was against fighting, she certainly admired his ability to handle a situation so quickly.

Placing her hands in the grass, she felt for her wooden bowl. She would get her hands on it and try to retract the water droplets out of the grass again. That way, there wouldn’t be any more slipping incidents with any more passing strangers.

"Thank you sir." He said this, since it was natural for him to respond. He wasn't really paying attention to her, but he noticed his rudeness. "I'm sorry, but my glasses are dirty and I can barely see." He couldn't take off his glasses or risk losing himself to his cynical personality, so he decided to wait until he was sitting down to clean his glasses. He stepped through the door and into the tavern and decided to get something to calm him down. He mumbled something under his breath "I don't see why people always try and pick fights with me. " This wasn't directed to the girl, instead it was directed to the boy from earlier. Alan guessed that the boy from earlier must have his pride torn to shreds after being beaten by Alan, but Alan wasn't really worried about increasing his level in this school. To everyone he was just a weak level one magician, except the boy from earlier and anyone anyone who saw the short fight between him and the boy. He hoped that whoever saw wouldn't trouble him and begins asking questions, since he didn't want to be targeted by people who only wished to prove that they were stronger. He didn't feel the need to prove his strength to anyone, but he did need to get a good level to prove to the magician who raised him that he wasn't slacking off in school. He sat down next to someone, since he felt like striking up a conversation he asked the person how he was. "How are you?" He turned to the bartender and asked him for a drink that wouldn't get him drunk.

A boy about Delvin's age sat next to him; one of those that was fighting a bit before. As the barkeep got a drink for the newcomer to the bar Delvin replied, "I am well, and yourself?" Delvin looked to the one that sat next to himself with a slight smile. "Good fight from earlier by the way," he said as he took a sip from his own drink. A couple feet behind Delvin one of the waitresses tripped and sent a couple drinks into the air. The moment this happened Delvin flicked his hand into the air and then back down quickly. This caused a burst of wind to seemingly catch the waitress and the tray of drinks in midair; preventing a possibly hazardous predicament. And all this was done without Delvin even moving his eyes, though they did turn a light blue before the wind caught everything. Delvin then let down the tray and the waitress; her being too embarrassed to even say thank you; but she continued on to serve the customers.

He was startled that someone saw the fight he had earlier "Crap, don't tell anyone that you saw me fight that kid. I'm trying to stay Incognito." the young shadow wizard didn't want attention brought to him yet, but whenever he took the level placement test he would go full out in fighting. "I'm a shadow elemental, but you should already know that. What about you?" He hoped Delvin wouldn't ask who he was, since he barely knew that information himself. He drank the drink the bartender gave him, but he didn't get drunk due to the drink not being meant to get you drunk. He cleaned his knife and he wasn't enjoying this academy as much as his adoptive father thought he would, but if the magician who raised him wanted him to go here. Then he would go here and learn from the same teachers that he learned from. He wasn't going to tell the teachers who he was, instead he would make his own name in this school.

Sylphiel Amosyne

Ever since her abilities had surfaced, she was forced to spend a majority of her time hidden away from society. From the start, her abilities were overwhelmingly powerful, to the point she was deemed a danger to herself and others. Instead of attending the school like all the others, they had arranged for her to have a teacher who would lecture her at home, as well as mentor and tutor her. Because she had never left her designated home's radias, no at the school but her teacher and the dean was aware of her existence. Spirit elementals were something rare, something so rare that it was mostly myth to the rest of society. The other attendees at the school were neither aware of her nor the fact that they were indeed real. Due to their rarity, their abilities were unknown as a whole, this was also due the the fact that they had the tendency to vary. But Sylphiel was different, her affinity with spirit was both with life and death, but the majority of her abilities leaned towards the dead and evil itself.

Her appearance was something that differed from most. She had very pale skin, which appeared silky smooth and flawless. Her right eye was a bright gold color with a hint of red around the pupil, while her left eye was a light blue. Her hair was a short white, which somehow managed to look lively and vibrant. While she had a kind of unusual and almost heavenly beauty, radiant and almost glowing, surrounding her was a dark and deadly aura; it was quite sinister. The odd thing, was the wings which were visible behind her, they appeared to be angel wings, but they weren't tangible and seemed to be an illusion. The wings themselves had a black tint on the end of each feather. Her clothes, made her appear as if attending to a party or some kind of ball. She had on a decorative white corset with puffy short sleeves. The bottom was a very short layered ruffle skirt. Her right arm was covered in bandages, in which over she had a short white lace glove with a small yellow gauntlet over it. On the opposite arm, she had various colored beaded bracelets with the same style gauntlet. On her left leg she had thigh stockings which were striped. The color was a gradiented pastel color, which varied from blues to purples to pinks. The opposite side she had polkadotted stalkings of the same color variation. Over them, she had transparent gaitors, located just below her knees. On her feet were transparent heels, which looked to be made of glass, on the tips were white roses, the outsides were polkadots. On her neck, she had some sort of thick metal collar that appeared to be once connected to a chain. On the side a keyhole. Lastly, she had a white bow in her hair.

Sylphiel walked through the unknown streets, receiving many stares and hearing many whispers. People were so annoying sometimes, they believed that all elementals fit some kind of stereotype, and god forbid something different showed up - they freaked out. As she made it through the crowded streets, she smiled at the harsh winds the meet her. She was used to them, as was she with harsh weathers. Her mentor dragged her out into the worst or most dangerous of conditions in order for her to train and learn to adapt to her environment and surroundings. In order to focus on the task at hand and rely on no one but herself and her abilities. It was always a test of survival. Her favorite was storms, rain, snow. All of them she found particularly pleasant to the skin. Somehow she was naturally adaptable to heat, her teacher would tease it was because she was the daughter of the devil. That was pretty much the only joke he ever told, as he was a painfully serious individual. One who often spoke in monotone when he was trying to get his point across. Sylphiel did a lot less book work and a lot more physical training and fighting. Though her teacher would often lecture her mid battle and give her tests as well. Because her teacher had to leave for some important eandeavors, she was forced to start attending the school in person, her teacher and the principal thought it was more than time for her to do so, as she had been ready for years. She was, however, being stingy and selfish keeping the teacher to herself. Who better for her to learn from than the best. His full name was unknown, but he went by the alias of Shade.

She wasn't thrilled about having to attend the school, she wasn't raised around other people, and had never had what society called a friend. Growing up, and even till now, she had never relied on anyone, she never needed anyone, she wouldn't be here now if she couldn't take care of herself. Unknown to even the principal, she had accidentally killed both of her parents as a child. No one but Shade, seemed to have figured that out. Shade was harsh, critical, and brutal in his training, but he had the decency not to bother her about her past. Particularly parched, she walked towards a nearby tavern to get a drink. She wondered if they would even have your average drink, as most places wreaked of alcohol, and she never wanted to have anything to do that. As she walked in, she saw many people of various ages there, many were located at the bar, drinking, some at tables enjoying what appeared to be mediocre meals. She had never eaten food she didn't make herself, and she considered herself a pretty decent cook.

Sylphiel walked over to the bar area and sat down in the only vacant chair left. Upon doing so, the bartender looked straight at her like some foreign creature. "What? Have you never seen a girl before?" she asked him monotonously. "Give me a water, lots of ice." The bartender nodded, her mouth practically hanging open. How pathetic, it probably would have been better to stay home. Oh well, Shade would kill me if I did. While Sylphiel was the age of twenty, she appeared to be no older than sixteen. Due to spirit, she aged slightly slower, and the more she killed, the healthier she would get. Not that she went around killing people.

After Alex woke she headed back to find an empty room she could practice controling her powers in. Her own room was to small. Sometimes the training rooms were not that crowed, sometimes empty. She hated crowed places. She was happily walking to the training rooms whaen she heard a familiar unfriendly voice.
"That's her!"
"You sure" said another.
"Yes of course I am"
It was the girl from earlier the one that went running like a scared rabbit. Hmm she did look a bit like a rabbit. The other person with her was a man probably in his early twenties.
"Can't fight your own fights, I see" Alex calld out to her.
"Just do it" the girl said to the man"
He, obviously, could shoot lightning from his palms like Alex. Which she found out a bit to late as the lightning hit her sending her flying backwards into a window breaking it.
"Oh" Alex said" that did hurt." "Sorry" she then called out to everyone inside.
Small bits of glass stuck into her but she paid no notice of them. Turning she flung lightning at the man and the girl, standing she brushed glass and debris of her clothes. The man stood, groaning. The girl stood and ran of, typically. The man glared at Alex. Her eyes glowed blue, the colour of lightning. He looks at me with horror filled eyes and runs of.
"Typical storm users" She smile to myself "see something new they get scared." turning to see the damage she caused and see numerous people staring at her.
"Sorry!" I yell again.
Well at least I hit the bar. She thought, less people will drink... Hopefully
Alex heads to her room to clean and treat the wounds only glancing back at the now shattered bar window once to see if anyone had made a move.

He was having a nice conversation with the kid next to him, so he thought he might become a friend with this kid. He noticed a girl wearing strange clothes walk in, but those clothes were no where near as weird as the clothes the magician who trained him wore. He turned to the girl trying to become friends, but not enemies. "Your clothes remind me of my mentor's clothes, but his clothes were much more colorful." Before he would continue this conversation he decided to tell the girl something now to not have any awkwardness later on in the conversation, if the conversation even had the slightest chance of continuing. "If you shall take this opportunity to ask me questions, please do not ask about my past and I shall do the same. " He noticed that a girl had crashed through the window and almost broken her whole body. " I'm terribly sorry, but I need to see if this girl is all right. If you wish to continue this conversation find me sitting on a bench feeding the birds near the park. " He wasn't trying to hit on her, since you don't hit on girls when you're wearing glasses. He was genuinely trying to befriend her, since he barely had any friends due to him not trusting anyone. He would hope this girl would decide to continue a conversation with him and they could perhaps become friends later on. His glasses almost fell of, and for that split second a hint of fear spread across his whole being. He fixed his glasses before any actual damage could be done to the people around him, he sighed he almost had another episode like he did before. He continued heading to the girl and decided to check up on her. Once he made it to the girl he asked her a question "Are you okay? That was a pretty nasty glide you took towards the window." He wasn't trying to hit on this girl, instead he was trying to be like his mentor in helping those who were hurt. He thought she would be hurt, but he didn't know if she was hurt. He also needed an excuse to leave, since so many people who could've seen the little fight he had earlier with the earth magic user were coming into the bar. His attention was turned towards the girl and he was waiting to see if she was hurt, but he only knew weak healing spells and couldn't really use powerful spells that were meant for good. His magic was meant to be used for evil or as an offensive magic, and that was why the being chose to have Alan's father as a host. The being would later on try and use Alan as a host, but Alan didn't need to worry about that considering he was a pretty weak mage when his glasses were on.

Alex looked at him with great curiosity. "No one ever talks to me" she thought. Thinking some one had sent him to annoy or attack her, she just went along with it getting ready to attack.
"I'm fine, just a scratch" Alex replied, trying to sound as relaxed as possible. She couldn't help it but a little edge was in her voice.
Eventually she couldn't take it anymore.
"Why are you asking?" I said sounding more casual now.

"Your voice sounds a bit weird, are you sure your fine? " He barely talked to people and he was kind of awkward at talking to people. He scratched his head not knowing what to do. He then noticed that people don't just randomly go flying through windows. "Wait, how did you even get through the window in the first place?" He was a bit confused trying to think of a plausible explanation for this, then it hit him. Jerks, of course that had to be the only plausible explanation besides the girl trying to jump through a window on purpose. He walked alongside the girl with a relaxed posture, if the girl wished to attack him he wouldn't mind as long as she didn't take away his glasses. A bit of his blood from the fight he had earlier was dripping down his cheek, but he didn't notice. He wasn't part of any group of elementals, considering there was only ten whole shadow elementals in this school and most of them were part of the staff here. A lot of people thought he looked threatening and first, but when they got to know him better they would see his personality. They would also see his personality when he didn't have his glasses on.

He was confused at why she would be shot at . "Why would someone strike you with lightning?" Actually he knew why, since people always felt they needed to show that they were stronger then you. His next words had a serious tone to them "Actually, I'm pretty sure some people just can't resist fighting others." Her next remark startled him, why would he follow orders from someone else? "If I was sent to annoy you, wouldn't I have attacked you by now? I came to you, because you seemed hurt." He cleaned the blood dripping from his body with a piece of paper, but he was used to being attacked by now. He was always attacked as a child due to him having to steal from people to survive, but he went around the world with his mentor and managed to help all the people he stole from by working for them. He didn't miss his biological father, since his biological father left him when he was a child. He smiled, this was one of the people who didn't try and kill him the first time he spoke to them. He hoped he could become a friend with this girl, but she probably wouldn't trust him at at all. He didn't mind at all as long as he had someone to talk to, but he didn't even know the girls name. " If you don't trust me then shoot me and get rid of me. Anyways my name is Alan, what is yours?" If he was shot then so be it, but he trusted the girl wouldn't shoot him or at least she wouldn't take his glasses off of him. He hoped that she would at least answer his question before she shot him. His pet messenger bird landed on his shoulder carrying a letter from his mentor, the letter read "I hope you're enjoying your time at the academy, but please do watch out for other shadow magic users. Some of them made a contract with the 'thing'. Anyways enjoy your stay at the academy ~ Daniel". Alan would reply to this letter later on in the day, for now he was having a conversation with someone. He turned his attention back to the girl who he was walking alongside.

She wasn't comfortable to talking to Alan. Normally after the first sentence she said the person she was talking would just simply walk away. She was wondering why this boy wasn't. Maybe because he was actually trying to be nice. But why would he be everyone hated her anyways. But she thought she may as well try to be nice too, something she hadn't been since... Well she couldn't remember.
"I'm Alex." She said trying to sound happy or nice or whatever people did while having a friendly conversation.

She was finally opening up to him, although he could still she that she was a bit nervous about trusting him. "I'm a shadow magician, and I'm guessing you're a lightning magician. Alan was wondering if they were going anywhere specific "Are we going anywhere specific? If we are not then isn't possible for us to get lost?" Just as he said that he tripped and his glasses were cracked, but he was able to keep his other personality suppressed . "My glasses are broken, and I am sure you do not wish to see what I turn into without them. I think I must take my leave and see the headmaster about this. You are free to accompany me." His tone was much more serious then it was before, but he was trying to suppress his other personality. He didn't want to lose a chance to make a friend by hurting this girl, but there was a sign of mental strain being shown in his voice as well as the seriousness. "I shall explain this to you later if you wish for an explanation." His saunter at the moment was terrible, since he was barely able to walk in a straight direction and he didn't even know in which direction to go to the headmaster. He was walking blindly with no specific direction in mind, but he was determined to get there. Even if it meant accepting help from someone else, but he didn't wish to trouble this girl any more then he might have already. The strain on his mind was finally catching up to him and he was having dark thoughts, and he passed out from too much mental effort being made just to not hurt this one girl. "Why am I trying so hard for this one girl." He mumbled this to himself, but he knew the answer was that he didn't want to disappoint his mentor. He expected to be left on the ground, and he didn't really mind being left here to die. Many people have left him to die in the streets, so he was quite used to the cruelty of others.

Alex realised he was trying to be nice. Even though he seemed to be straining himself from something. Anyway she had nothing to do so she may as well follow him. Plus she had no friends this might be her only chance. Maybe Alan had not yet heard of her and the things she had done.
"Sure I'll come, if your sure that's alright."
She looked at him. Not wanting to ask at the moment what was happening, what a shadow user was and... she had so many questions. Alex was hardly ever curious. She suddenly realised something.
"Are you new here, because you seem to not have heard of me." She said, then quietly "people who have would stay away"
Suddenly wishing she had not said the last sentence, she tried to change the subject.
"I do not just controll lightning. I can also controll things like... storms and all"
She realised how socially awkward she was. Doubting she even talked properly. Turning she tried to remember the fastest way to the headmasters office.

Alan was unsconscious still, but he was in a dream with darkness surrounding him showing images of the things he did to people. He didn't want this, not at all. He tried running away, but somehow the ghosts of the people he has wronged have come to him. "Calm down, it would be better for the both of us if you did." An exact replica of him said that, but the replica was wearing a suit and tie. The replica pointed towards a set of seats and a table, he said "I'll bring us something to drink." The replica grabbed a pitcher of an unknown liquid, but it didn't seem to cause damage to the replica when it drank the liquid. Alan tried the liquid and it tasted dark, but not evil. He checked to see if his glasses were on and surely enough they were, but they were cracked. "What's happening." He didn't say that out loud, but he didn't need to. The replica could hear his thoughts "You are in your dream, but so am I." The replica was calm when it said this, after it said this it sat down in a chair and motioned for Alan to sit besides him. "Sit down, please. I shall explain this to you as best as I can."
Alan sat down and he didn't feel threatened by this replica of him, instead he felt like if he knew the replica personally. "Do I know you?" Alan asked the question to the replica. "Why yes you do, I am you and you are I." The replica wasn't making sense, but it knew it was correct. "That can't be possible, no that can't be possible at all." Alan was not going to accept that, but deep down he knew the replica was not lying to him. "Our father is quite greedy, don't you agree. " His replica said this calmly and while pouring his drink, but Alan thought the replica was talking about his mentor and not his biological father. "Shut up, you know nothing of my mentor." Alan was prepared to defend his mentor's name if it cost him his life, but his replica wouldn't dare get Alan killed or it would die as well. "I wasn't speaking of our mentor, I was speaking of our biological father." His replica was not fazed by Alan's sudden outburst, instead he was patient and waited for Alan to calm down. "As far as I am concerned I don't have a biological father, he left me and the chances of raising me when he left me to fend for myself on the streets. " Alan didn't feel any emotion towards his biological father, considering he left Alan when Alan was only a child and that was around the time Volvo adopted Alan. "I am the persona you created to hide the fact that you did many bad things in your past, but you shall eventually accept that you did those things." His replica drank the liquid when he finished that sentence. "Lies, I didn't do anything in the past. That was my other personality." Alan was completely sure of himself when he said that. "That's the point, it's your personality. " The replica was trying to get Alan to accept what he has done, but he wouldn't resort to violence or it might stop existing completely. "Leave me alone and let me go, now." Alan wished to get away from this 'thing' as fast as he could, but he had no idea how to leave or if the thing would let him leave. "As you wish, but remember this. I shall always be there whispering in your ear telling you to do the things you are too weak to do on your own, I will be the influence that shall help you accomplish the deeds you are too scared to do on your own. This was only a dream, remember that."

When it finished stating it's last words for now, Alan woke up from his dream. He couldn't tell if he was still on the ground or if he was in the headmaster's room, he decided he would try and see for himself. His vision was still blurred and he couldn't see where he was. "Hello? Anyone there?"

Alex sighed in relief as Alan opened his eyes. She had considered taking his glasses of but remembered that he had said about becoming something when he took them of... likely to be bad.
"Are you ok?" she asked Alan.
Worried about this boy. She had stayed with him while he had fainted in the headmasters room. She didn't know what had happened it had happened so fast. First Alan was just talking then he passed out. She had looked around for the headmaster but he was no where to be seen.
"Alan?" She looked at him and offered him a hand up.

He took the hand, since he couldn't really get up on his own. " Heh, thanks. I'd say I was fine, but that would be a complete lie. " He didn't pretend he was fine when he was hurt, considering that would probably get him killed and he needed all the help he could get as a child. He had no pride to protect, so it didn't matter if he got help from others and it didn't matter if he was beat in battle. " My head hurts and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold my destructive urges without my glasses to help." He took the hand and pressed his knee for support, and he got up still a bit dizzy. He took off his glasses revealing his face without them, since the glasses were cracked and they wouldn't be much use "My head still hurts and we should find the headmaster before I lose the hold on my body, but don't take my calm attitude as me being fine. Without my glasses I'm a completely different person and I think I'm losing control if I'm acting calm. " He had very little control over his mind, but he wouldn't let his other personality out to wreck havoc. He walked towards the door and went into the hallways, then he looked around for any students in the vicinity. He saw a group of level four fire mages leaning against the wall talking about how powerful they were becoming. He walked up to the mages and asked them "Do you know where the headmaster is?" They snickered and were surprised a level one had the guts to ask them something, so they thought they would punch him and make Alan back off. They didn't even get to land a punch, Alan grabbed the kid who's hand was going to punch Alan. "I'm not in the mood for this crap kid, so just tell me where the headmaster is or I'll do some very bad things to you." Alan was twisting the kid's hand and he wasn't enjoying this one bit, but the kid was enjoying this less than Alan was. "You cocky weakling, guys get him. " This level four needed a group to take down a simple level one. "Pitiful, can't even fight your own fights. " Alan stood in one place with his hands in his pockets. He used the shadow of the kids' against them and made them be trapped in solid shadow. He wasn't going to enjoy this fight, he needed to talk to the headmaster immediately. "Tell me where the headmaster is at and I'll let you go, then we can forget this ever happened. " The kid was scared and he complied with Alan "H-H-He's T-T-Talking with one o-o-of the k-kids who j-j-just entered. " The kid flinched when Alan let him go, Alan wasn't going to waste his time here. He remembered he didn't know where the headmaster was still and he decided to ask the kid where the headmaster was at. The kid replied with the room's location, since he was terrified of Alan. Alan went directly to the room mentioned by the kid, but when he made it to the door his head started hurting more than it did before. He didn't know if he could make it inside of the headmaster's location in time to get the headmaster to subdue him and fix his glasses.

Alex ran to catch up. She suddenly could see how dangerous he could be. If this was him trying to subdue the... thing he was she didn't want to see him active.
"Alan, wait" she called.
Now catching up to him she noticed how strained he looked.
"You look like you've been through hell. Do you need anything? Anything, anything at all, just say it and ill do it. Just tell me how to help."
She didn't know why she was doing this, helping this boy. Maybe she wanted to just help. Really she didn't know.

Alan tried putting on a weak smile to hide the strain that was being put on his body right now "I've been through worst as a child." This wasn't a bluff , it was fact. He had been surviving on his own as a child and has had many terrible things done to him, but he always let the people do whatever they wanted to . That is if they were smart enough to not take of Alan's glasses, if they weren't then they would be found in the town square unconscious and bleeding. His mentor would always scold him for doing that and give him a lecture, but his mentor would never harm him or do anything like that and that was why Alan loved his mentor. "You wouldn't mind helping me get into the headmaster's office would you?" He remembered when his mentor first saw what sort of a monster Alan could be, his mentor just stood there taking the full force of Alan's attacks and he just hugged Alan until Alan let all of his frustrations out on his mentor. Alan was strong having to survive on the streets for most of his life made him strong and having a strong mentor made him stronger, but Alan never let his full strength out on anybody. Due to him not having a good enough reason to let his full strength out, but the only time he would let his full strength out is if someone hurt someone he cared about. "Why help a monster like me? I've done terrible things to people and most people would rather kill me as soon as they can." He was truly confused as to why this girl would help him, when others would rather kill him where he stood.

Alex frowned. Just because you had done bad things that weren't your fault didn't make you a monster... did it?
"You said you're a monster that isn't necessarily true. It's not you're fault. At least you don't want to hurt people you help them" she paused and mumbled" unlike me. Now enough talking lets get you to the head masters office."
She doubted she could carry him. Not that he looked heavy it was just she wasn't strong enough physically to carry someone. She had an idea.
"Just say very still, when I say you can start moving again. This hopefully will keep you steady and help you go faster. It's like one of those treadmills only the opposite direction."
She her eyes glowed lightning blue. Clouds came in around Alan and lifted him up a few centimetres above the ground.
"Ok you can move. It should help but you will still have to move or the clouds won't."
She felt mentally exhausted but still wanted to help him. Tho she didn't know how long she could keep this up for.
"You ready?"

He laughed, if she went unconscious due to strain it would be a hard task for both of them to move for a while. "I'm ready, but please don't strain yourself too much. I don't want us both to be unable to move, since I can't be gentlemanly and carry you in the state i'm in." He didn't want her to strain herself for him, since it would cause her pain and he used the excuse that it would be hard for him to carry them both if she passed out. He stood up a bit slowly due to his head hurting and him barely able to get his bearings, but his body wasn't damaged. He could walk, but he couldn't walk in a straight direction without falling to the ground face first. He hoped they would get to the headmaster soon and that they would not interrupt anything important, but the situation was dire. It was more dire than Alan understood at the time, since Alan could be a suitable host for the thing that wished to destroy the dimension. The headmaster was one of the only people who knew about the situation Alan was in, besides a select group of people his mentor thought could be trusted to help Alan. Alan without his glasses wouldn't go into a fight blindly even if he was angry, instead he would do research upon his enemy before fighting the enemy. He would manipulate his enemy into fighting his enemy's allies, so he wouldn't have to use too much energy. He didn't care about fighting fairly or honor, since it did no good to him as a child. Eventually his views upon this would change, but he knew that people who were too cocky to admit defeat or get help were pitifully weak and only cared about their image. People like that wouldn't survive on the streets for more then a month, no matter the amount of power they had. He knew this from personal experience and he would break someone's pride just to help them learn what true strength is, but the one thing he is sure of is that there will always be someone stronger then him. "I just hope the headmaster can fix my glasses or subdue me long enough for my mentor to get here.

She bit her lip. She hoped she could make it.
"I'm fine I should be able to make it"
She checked the door numbers.
"I think we are nearly there"
She seen the room they were looking for. Sighing in relief she knocked the door and set Alan down and dissolved the clouds. She leant agents the wall catching her breath. She had never moved a person before. It really wasn't easy.

Alan went into the room the headmaster was in and saw that the headmaster was serious when he saw the strain on Alan's face. "Heh, can you help?" He laughed a bit, but this wasn't funny at all and they both knew that. "What's wrong Alan, is something wrong with you?" Alan smiled a forced smile and showed his glasses to the headmaster. "The glasses cracked, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep up the facade of being barely hurt. Thanks to this young lady I managed to get away from anyone without seriously damaging anyone, but I think you might have to suppress me and fix my glasses before I lose my grip on my mind. " The headmaster stood up and began using a spell that would suppress Alan's mind and send Alan into a temporary state of unconsciousness. "Thank you, you saved Alan from unnecessary pain, I'm guessing you want an explanation about what's up with Alan. If you do I'd be glad to explain his circumstances and make him not have to go through the trouble of having to explain it himself." The headmaster and Alan's mentor had a close friendship and the headmaster cared about Alan's state of mind and body.

Alan was in a dream where there was simply nothing, just an eternal darkness. Somehow he felt comfortable in this dream world, unlike the one that had his other personality in it. He thought about his life and decided he would become friends with the girl who helped him, and he didn't care what rumors were spread around about the girl. Rumors about his being a monster without his glasses would soon be spreading around as well and he would have to deal with people who are too proud to admit someone is stronger than them, he knew those people only cared about proving that they're stronger than everyone else. No matter how much Alan tried staying away from those type of people, they never left him alone. Those who only fought him with a foolish goal such as rank or proving they're stronger always had a deep fear of Alan implanted in to their minds and had their pride shattered to pieces along with any respect people had for them.

While Alan was dreaming and thinking about his life, the headmaster was telling the girl who saved him from regret about Alan's history. The headmaster decided he would tell the girl a bit of advice concerning Alan." Do not show pity to him after you hear this, he hates it when people do that." The headmaster sighed and started repairing and was thinking about how to start telling Alan's life story. " Do you wish for me to start at the beginning or in the middle of his life? It's going to take quite a bit of time for me to repair his glasses, so I have enough time to tell his story and I can excuse you from any activities for the time it takes to tell his story. It's your choice if you want to know his story, but if you wish to be his friend it would be best to know what his history is." The headmaster waited for a response to his question, but he didn't stop repairing Alan's glasses.

Alex blushed as both Alan and the head master had complimented her in a way. She had never been thanked properly before but to be truthful she never had expected to be. It felt like for once she had done something good, which she hopefully had. She looked at Alan.
"Would like his story please" she said quietly, "if that's alright with you I would prefer to hear it from the beggining"
She looked at Alan wondering if he was ok. She didn't want him to be be straining himself any more. He didn't look like he was but she was new to all of this and didn't know the first thing about shadow magic.
"Will he be ok, is he straining himself?" She realised she had many questions that needed answered but she would have to wait until the story as it may contain answers to some of, if not all, of her questions. She also hoped he was ok with the headmaster telling her about him. She didn't want him to hate her. She looked around for a seat. There was a few but wasn't sure if she should sit.
"May I?" She asked glancing up at the headmaster.

She shoved her hand in her pocket in search for her pendant she always carried. She felt something cold and tapped it. She yanked her hand out of her pocket as she got an electric shock from a coin. She was like a human plasma ball she thought, not for the first time. She put her hand in the other pocket and pulled out a pendant on a piece of string. It was a blackish green colour. She clenched it in her hand. She always did this when she was on edge. It was the gem stone she was named after, alexandrite. Extremely rare yet beautiful. She knew one of its most valuable qualities is that is could change colour under different light. It made her feel calmer.

Focusing back on what was happening she looked back at Alan worried about her new friend.
