Introduction

This is just the starter.

"La la da da, la da da da. Mmm hmm hmm hmmmm~" A voice flitted through the narrow passageways of the dungeon, into the cells and through them. There were no words, only a quaint little tune that wasn't intended to bewitch or enchant. The voice was soft, sweet, and feminine, unlike the angry shouts of men and prisoners that were caged here. It was only her though, sitting alll alone in that cell, all alone at the end of the hallway. Her back was to the bars and instead her face was concentrated on the tiny stone window that allowed her to breathe fresh air. Her loneliness was only softened when the gruff dungeon guard gave her the one meal she was allowed a day. The female was currently sitting on the stone floor of her cell and singing out loud, calming all the panic and chasing away a bit of the darkness that had covered this place.

She sung all the time, to pass the time that she spent in the cell. Her voice was a familiar comfort to all those sharing those similar hallways and similar cells. The walls were dark and gray, depressing in every sense of the word, but her sweet voice brought what little happiness and light that could be allowed in that space.

Her features were delicate yet she held a sharpness in her face and eyes that could only be called an unidentifiable level of madness. It wasn't madness. It was a wild and free spirit. Her eyes were a bright icy blue and her hair was a wild and incredibly long scarlet-colored mane, her cheeks high and her nose slightly pointed. If she had had proper clothes, she would have looked more like a noble and less like a rugged street-rat. When she opened those mysterious and expressive eyes, the light of the full moon flowing through the hole she called a window gleamed into them, making them glow eerily in the darkness.

REMINDER: Make sure to reply to the starter in the Intro World. And if you have another idea for an RP and think that I might be a good match, feel free to message me. I don't bite, most of the time.

Slowly walking along the dim, dark corridor, Free's eyes can be seen alight, dimly. They shimmered a multi-colored hue, like a fresh rainbow on a dewy day. This was due to the fact that he was tainted with Ambient Energy, the source of his powers. His hair rustled around his shoulders as his tiny 5'3" frame scooted around a corner. He needed something, a book.

Entering the musty old library, his library, he grabbed it and found a specific passage he was looking for. After reading it, he stood there a moment, gathering the energy around him. It takes only a moment, and then he is gone.

Suddenly but quietly, he appears outside a giant castle wall, just outside a cell. He takes a moment to survey his surroundings. He was only a child but he had enough experience to know not to let his guard down. He gathers his energy once more, without warning and blasts a hole, clear through. After the dust and rubble settle, he spots what he was looking for.

Her.

"Hey, hey! Come with me if you want to escape this place. There will be time for questions later! We only have a few moments before the guards come, and I'm sure you know how they get." he barks, even for such a tiny person his voice reverberates with urgency.

Her eyes widened and she backed away from the wall, her voice suddenly cutting off as an explosion came from outside and busted down her cell wall. It had been at least a year since she had seen anybody outside the prison and she was a bit nervous and scared. What if it was some ploy? Was it some trick by the nobles?

She sprung to her feet and waved the dust away from her face, coughing as she did. "Well, if you're getting me out of here, I don't care who you are." Her voice wasn't cracking, wasn't weak. It was strong, strong for a woman that had been wrongly imprisoned for almost a year. "Thank you, whoever you are." She thought before she darted out of the hole in the stone.

Her slim figure was like a lithe little shadow as she darted towards one of the nearby alleys, hoping that if the stranger was a friendly person or whatever he was, that he would either follow her or leave her alone. It didn't matter to her at all what he did, all that mattered to her was that she was free, that she was able to run and breathe clean air. Freedom was everything to her

Free watched as she cautiously made her way over the remnants of broken wall and bits of steel. He had a kind, gentle smile on his face and tried to remain as calm as possible. It was always best not to panic in moments like these and he could tell she got the point. He waited until she was a good bit away, then helped a few of the prisoners get out. So far, everything was going to plan. He was a strategist, and it didn't take long for him to figure out that today, of all days security would be lax. It wouldn't be for long though, as the person that captured her would be on his way, and Free didn't want to be there when he came.

Finishing up, he rushes to put up a barrier just as a ball of fire hits. It was violent, and different magic than his. His barrier shrugged it off but couldn't take anymore hits like that. It was time to go. Turning in the direction of the woman, he starts to run, opening a portal. The portal allows him through.

Appearing by a nearby alley, he begins to follow the trail of the female, his determination beginning to show in the brow that furrowed his forehead. He needed to find her, but it seems she moved faster than he thought. Yes, she would do, he reminded himself, bringing an image of her to his mind.

It was still night and the air sent chills down his spine as he continued to track her whereabouts. Why wouldn't he sense her energy? The book didn't say anything about that. It only told him he needed her for something. That was always the problem with these magical items, they never do exactly what they are meant to do.

Her eyes glowed slightly as the full moon filled her with energy. More energy than she had had the chance to gather inside the prison. Her face was smiling as she felt the moonlight flow around her, whispering to her like it was welcoming an old friend, like it was alive. To her it was so she gladly accepted the energy, the voices other than her own. Then she sensed that the man that freed her was indeed chasing her.

'Hide my energy. I beg of thee.' She said mentally, breathing in and out as she ran, enjoying the fresh air but all the same feeling slightly light-headed. She couldn't run for long, and by the looks of the alley and how narrow it was, she would need to find a place to hide soon, or HE would find her again. "No. I won't let my magic be used again." She murmured softly and felt a veil of energy cloak her physical and mental presence. 'Thank you old friend. Your kindness is very much appreciated.' Again she thought to herself and slowed her running.

Ducking into the doorway of a run-down and seemingly abandoned place, she sighed, resting her legs and her lungs for a moment, hoping the stranger wouldn't find her anytime soon if he was looking for a fight.

Free looks around. Making it to a nearby town, he figured she must have made it here by now. She didn't seem to have magic he figured, or it had to be drained or so low she couldn't use much of it. He was very methodical in his thinking, and this lead to him being very precise. This was the only town for miles, and it wasn't very noticeable on the maps.

Perfect.

So he now knew she could use strategy. This was a good thing. Making his way to the square he sends out a thought-speech, tainted with his magical seal just in case anyone else was trying to listen-in.

("I mean you no harm, but I could use your help finding something. I understand that you have no obligation to help a complete stranger, but I did just free you after all at great expense. For now lets just say I am a traveler, helping a friend I know for now. Here:")

He lays something on the ground: A tiny coin, about the size of an American Half-Dollar.

("This charm will transport you to my Library. It is a safe haven and you will be provided with food and shelter. I don't have much, just don't touch the beast you see if you do decide to come. Trust me, this is something you don't want to miss but I'll understand if you can't.")

Amaris heard the magic mind messages and relaxed slightly, but not enough to let her guard down. Her energy was still low, despite her exposure to the moon's sweet light. He knew that she was here though, how? How did he manage to catch her signature? Was some of it leaking, was it that she wasn't concealing herself at all? Or could he just be that logical as to have figured out the general area?

She summoned what magic she could from her long-ago stored reserves that even that horrible prison couldn't break, and sent out her own message.

("I thank you for helping me but I also know that I must be cautious and careful around those in my life. But, seeing as you don't seem to mean me harm...I suppose I shall join you then.")

It didn't take long for her to shed the shadows and step out of the doorway and out of the alleyway, her steps as quiet and tentative as a cat's or a fox's. The female soon came to the main square, her eyes darting left and right, arms wrapped around herself.

Free Points to the tiny token charm on the ground near her.
He clears his throat, noticing that she is slightly taller than him. How he missed that the first time he wasn't sure but he made sure not to stare. She looked slightly different than what he was used to. She must have kept good care of herself because she was nowhere near as dirty as she should've been. Then he wondered how long she was in there, but he knew in time she would answer if she felt like it.

"Thank you. To be honest, it was pretty lucky getting even a slight pickup on a different energy signature here. This place is so tainted with the blood magic it's hard for me to get a lock on anything. To keep my story short, I have a friend that I'm trying to help out, and I could use someone like you to help the process."

He then lifts his cloak and turns around, showing her that he carried no visible weapons. The blood red shoulder epaulette glistened as he turned, the golden trim catching the bright, full-moon's rays.

"The charm is a sign of goodwill I hope. One little thing about it, just holding it won't transport you, you'll have to relax when you have it. Traveling through dimensions tensed is actually quite bad for the form. Most don't know that. Bah, I'm babbling again. Anywho, off we go."

He waits and watches, his posture relaxed and non-threatning.

She stands there for a moment, watching and listening, before nodding slightly at him. Her hair gleamed in the moonlight, her quick and observant eyes flickering over his form and her face cracked a non-amused smirk, her posture still very much cautious. Her eyes focused on him and she frowned slightly.

"Blood magic...I know who is using it. He was the one who captured me. Sent me to that horrible prison. Though I didn't know that he was using it to taint the auras in this place." Her mouth barely moved but her voice was as clear as a bell. Then she paused and looked over him again.

"You may not have bladed or blunt weapons, but a fellow magic user such as yourself would never be without some kind of defense system set in place." Her voice was still strong and silky smooth, her dull icy blue eyes finding a rock on the ground and in a second she picked it up. Flipping it in the air a moment, she seemed to think about something.

Suddenly she pelted the rock at him only to have it bounce off that magical and physical shield that he had set up earlier. Nodding, she relaxed a bit more.

"At least you aren't an idiot..." she mused as she took a few more steps closer to the coin. Then she cracked a slightly humorous grin when he mentioned traveling through dimensions. "Indeed it is. I've had some bad experiences with it. Took me forever to heal a torn muscle the first time." She then took a deep breath and bent down and picked up the coin, vanishing a few seconds later.

Stepping from his own portal, he grins a bit. The musty, damp library filled with the hum of small, basketball shaped orbs floating about. There had to be thousands of them. The library was at least 3 stories high, and filled with digital and hardcover books. Some you could instantly tell where new, while others looked like aged tomes you would find in a crypt. There was a peaceful air that settled there, as if the world outside ignored this one spot.

Walking to his study he opens the doors, gesturing. "Well, you know how it is, I'm sure. The last thing I had thrown at me was about the size of a car, and it was from someone that eventually became a well known friend of mine. I'll tell you about it sometime." he says as his eyes gloss over from the memories. His voice wavered slightly, as if she was touching on an bit of an emotional subject.

"Feel free to make yourself at home. These robots are not mine, another friend of mines created them to help me out, but enough about that. Your room is up there." He points to the roof. "There is no rush, and we have plenty of food here." He then slides a small, velvet bag across the table. "That is payment in advance, since we all know how this goes from here. If you need anything else, just let me know. I need to recharge and I'm sure you need the rest also. Tomorrow I'll explain more."

She stepped in front of him as he appeared, her eyes slowly gaining a bit of shine and glimmer back to them. "Thank you. My name is Amaris Silvana, Moon and Pure Energy witch of the Full Moon Clan." She said with a slight bow to him. As she straightened herself, she looked down at her ragged clothes and frowned.

"I do apologize for the state of my appearance. A year in a cell like that is very...detrimental to cleanliness." She waved her hand and in less than a moment, her hair had been magically washed and cleaned, her skin was magically scrubbed clean and shone softly as if radiating moonlight. Her clothes were next. The brown and stained rags turned to a loose and flowy dress that was a dark gray and blue with a black undertone/shift.

As the wave of magic passed over her, she smiled brightly, her eyes once again giving a sparkle. "Ah magic..." she murmured as she listened to him, sitting down at the table in the process. "Thank you my friend. At least you understand how things work in this community." Her eyes focused on him and she smiled kindly.

He nods kindly, turning away out of respect as she changed. Had being in a cell for so long changed her THAT much? After she finishes, he turns around, in each of his hands are small cups, filled with a light, honey colored liquid.

"It's tea, one of my favorite things to drink while I study."
He sets one down gently on the table in front of her.

"Also, you may notice a few things, one of them being that things will materialize fright in front of you, sometimes right where you're walking. Don't mind if it happens, I'm still trying to get the hang of using this thing called: "Technology". That friend I mentioned before, is a scientist. We work on projects together. That's all I can say for now. I know it seems a little... Uncanny for a magic user such as myself to work with the complete opposite well.. Desperate times call for desperate measures."

He bows as she mentions her name.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Silvana. My name is Free. I hail from the Region of Kronos, from another Planet actually. I've come in search of something that was stolen from me. I was born in a very privileged family, and the long and short end of this is that there were some that did not like it, so they kidnapped me when I was but a child and experimented on me, thus manifesting the powers you saw me use before. I am only 18, but I've been through and seen a lot for someone my age. I have traveled the cosmos, to other planets far from this one and close."

He gestures to the many books next.

"Feel free to find something that catches your eye while I prepare myself. I need to travel to a nearby city for some resources to help me in a project I'm currently working on. If you wouldn't mind, once you rest up, would you mind coming with me?"

When he had turned around, she involuntarily flinched back a bit, controlling herself at the last second. She took the tea after a moment and sighed a bit, the warmness of it soaking into her arms and hands quite easily and quickly. It had been a while since she had had anything to drink that was warm.

Amaris, still being cautious of 'Free' waited until he sipped his tea first before taking a small sip herself, sighing contentedly when she had. Looking over at him, she wanted to raise an eyebrow when he introduced himself, but nodded in response/acknowledgment.

She smiled and kept smiling, nodding as he spoke to her. Her clothes were loose and flowed around her like there was a small breeze constantly surrounding her body. It was strange to her to see the robots, but she kept nodding anyways.

"It's quite alright if something seems off, I'll be sure to ignore it if I deem it not necessary of a response." Her eyes sparkled now at full force, flecks of silver floating in those orbs that seemed so deep one could drown themselves in it if they chose.

When he asked for her to go with him, however, she stopped.

"That's something that I find curious. Why do you even need my help? With managing your magic or something? To get back something that you had stolen that's physical doesn't require my help." She was still clearly very cautious of him and it was clear, but she was still curious by nature, as any being is. "Or is it something darker?" Her entire demeanor changed as her face got more serious, those sparkles swirling in her eyes now, going fast.

His eyes locked with hers and for a moment, his face grew deadly serious.

"Alright, you've got me. I planned on using your soul for the next version of a project I'm working on, so that we can rule every dimension known in the multiverse for all eternity."

Then he laughs, sipping a bit from his tea after blowing a bit of the heat off the top of it.

"I'm kidding, just kidding. I've chosen the good fight, trust me. Nothing will come from making enemies, at least that's what I think. I've already fought with my inner self over it, and I won. Now, what I'm about to tell you, to answer your question is strictly confidential, as in, there is a spell on this specific conversation. If anyone hears the key phrases uttered in it besides us, it will automatically erase their memory. I actually prepared the spell in advance so that I could talk to you about it."

He gestures to the seat in front of his desk.

""Please."

At first, she drew back and her eyes widened, listening for a moment before she heard him laugh. At first she thought he was truly crazy, but then her logical mind gave her a reality check. Well. As close to reality as a witch could get. 'It wouldn't make sense for him to try that, especially here, in this world. There is such a thing as Karma.' Her brain spoke to her, and she calmed down almost immediately, cracking a small smile with a bit of a chuckle.

Then she listened to him explain the 'memory-erasing conversation' bit, and nodded.

"Good, cause if you had been planning that, I would have had to kill you." She replied, clearly not joking before she cracked a bit more of a smile, as if she thought it was funny. A year in the cell had driven her a bit mad unfortunately, but she was trying to overcome it, maybe.

She sat delicately at the chair in front of the desk and waited, her face going serious even as she sipped that delicious tea. It tasted...strange, like a mixture of honey and different herbs, but it was warming her and clearing her mind, so she was enjoying it.

nods, not doubting that she was telling the truth. He knew he wasn't almighty enough for anything like that by far, though one could dream. Sitting down, he clears his throat.

"I shall keep this short for the sake of time, since we need to rest before we head out. So what I mentioned about my homeworld being attacked... Well, it happened. This... Being known as "X" did it. Where he comes from, I don't know yet but I'm going to find out, one way or another. He raids entire dimensions, and as far as I can tell from reports, is that he is looking for something."

Gestures to a monitor, his eyes flashing a bit of ambient hue.

"Make no mistake about it, if he shows up in your dimension, he's there for a reason. Either he is conscripting others using his powers of darkness to... Oh I don't know, somehow bring them over to his side, or he's taking some powerful artifact. What I do know is that he is very good at what he does, and he dosen't stop. He is the single, greatest threat to every dimension out there."
He utters this, clearly frustrated.

"I just can't figure out how he does it. How he is so effective? I've been there, to the places he goes, hidden and watched. The things I've seen him do, the people I've seen him turn... We have a name for them back home. We call them "Hopeless", because once they turn, that's it, they don't turn back. Somehow his legions overpower every single warrior thrown at them. I've seen Magic users defeat deities from history books, a child turn a grown man twice his size. I've seen an elderly woman pick an entire boulder up and toss it aside as if it were nothing."

He brings up an entire group of monitors on his desk, and swivels it around so she can see all the videos in their glory.

"Most of these videos, are his followers. I only have one that shows him though."

He pulls it up.

"Do you see that? He's fighting with someone and this person actually managed to hold their own against him. That person, his name, is Killa."

Once again she listened to him, her entire being going absolutely still and silent. Her eyes focused on his and she saw the frustration and pain in them. It made her heart twinge a bit, feeling the pain as if it were her planet he was talking about, her people.

When he showed her the monitors, her furrowed her eyebrows a bit. Concentrating on the last one that showed X and Killa fighting for more than a moment. It gave her pause to see HIM again, the monstrous being that she had had both nightmares and dreams about. She nearly choked on her tea when the video showing that battle stopped, she saw some of his followers in the background as HE fled.

"That magic...I know it..." she murmured after a small coughing fit.

"I know who X is." She let out after that, her hands and entire body shaking slightly. "He was the one who captured me. He was trying to get me to join him since he said he needed a witch with shielding magic." Her gaze now drifted to the floor, her eyes closing shortly afterwards.

"I refused him and fought him with everything I had. My shields were the only thing he couldn't pierce. I had said no so he had me thrown into that place, into that cell after beating me in our battle. He was torturing me. Slowly but surely driving me insane, or so he said." Her voice was no longer strong, it was trembling in fear, clearly suffering from some kind of after effect of trauma.

suddenly he stands, nearly spilling his tea!

"You... you fought him!?" He has a look of sheer amazement on his face as he says this, it was almost a look of sheer shock and horror. He stands there, as if she had just told him everyone he knew passed away, or some great catastrophe had befallen the entire multiverse.

He brushes off the bottom of his cloak and his face resumes it's usual look, though his eyes shimmered more than ever, their rainbow hues suddenly fixated on her.

"Did you let him touch you? I need to know, if it was even just... a moment."

He falls back against the desk, shaking his head, looking exhausted.

She flinched a little at his sudden expression and exclamation. The waves of emotion that were radiating off him were burying her in that world of feeling that she had learned to separate herself from inside that prison.

"No, no I would never let him touch me. He could only ever reach me mentally since I'm an Empath and he is filled those evil and horrible emotions. All that anger...he carries it around with him everywhere. I felt only pity for him." Her voice was still trembling this time with pure sadness and an ache that could only be described as mental agony.

Her eyes flickered as she opened them and looked into his.

"The fight was just as horrible as death. That horrible energy, all of those dying and dead people surrounding him...the darkness almost swallowed me the first time I sensed him."

Her skin was sickly pale at the memory and she gripped the tea cup tightly, nearly breaking it.

"That sounds about right. He has taken and turned so many..." Free mentions as stands and slowly regains his composure.
"Well, now that I know you've actually HAD contact with him, I can't take you, it's too dangerous. I wasn't sure until you said it bot now it's for certain. He's trying to turn you for something. I don't know what or why yet, but it's what I'm working towards with Killa and my friend. Essentially I build the magic and arcane items Killa needs, while my friend builds all the technical stuff. This friendship that we have hasn't been forged long, but slowly we've been making progress. That's about all I can say for now. If you still want to come with me, I can't stop you, just be warned though, X is after you, and sooner or later you will have to face him again. I don't want that to happen. I won't be gone that long, and there is plenty to do until things settle down a bit."

As he says this clearly with hope in his voice, he begins packing some things. One of them appears to be a wand of some sort.

She only took a deep breath, her white-knuckled grip on the cup she was holding releasing slowly after a few moments. Her expression flickered from scared and anxious to frustration and thought.

"No. I want to face him again. I want to beat him. I learned from my mistakes and my shields and my skills with a bow and arrow are better than most men would like to admit to themselves. I, in fact, lasted a few hours fighting that horrible being. He is abusing magic and hurting people, innocent people. I personally will NOT allow that." As she spoke, her voice regained its confidence and firmness.

She looked positively livid by the time she finished, even if her voice didn't betray it, her expression and her eyes did. Amaris stood and placed the cup on the desk in front of her, her eyes now glimmering gems with silver flecks swirling and gleaming in them.

"I don't care what happens to me as long as the innocent people are safe. I may not look or act the part of a heroine, but when I earned my magic, I took an oath. An oath to honor life, protect innocent souls, and save those that can be saved. If they cannot, and they are my enemies, I am bound by every fiber of my being to destroy them." Now she seemed hardened, not the soft and scared woman she had been but moments ago.

Free nods, understanding her resolve.
"I get that, but you need to get something about this. There is no coming back once he turns you. MANY have tried. ALL have failed. Every, single, attempt. I mentioned how I've never seen anything like it before right?" he says, his eyes their regular shimmer but still alert. "Well, tomorrow I'll show you something I captured. You may even learn a thing or two about magic, you never know."

As he puts the last of things in the pack, the lights begin to dim inside the moderately sized, dusty room. The quiet buzz and hum of various equipment can be heard as the robots float around, managing and organizing their areas.

"You need no key for your room. The moment you entered this place, these so called: "Scanners" picked up your ambient energy signature and stored it. The building will recognize you in other words, which is a good thing. If you decide to leave and go out on your own, I won't stop you but I hope you don't without me. My safe-haven is near a small city, hidden just below it's forest line but that won't stop the occasional annoyance from trying to find it."

Amaris only furrowed her brows, her eyes growing hard for a moment as she thought. Then she looked back into his eyes and let a small smirk form on her face. Her hands twitched and those hard eyes flashed faintly gray for a second.

"Oh I know. I've felt it before, the pain that it causes both mental and physical. He is the only one that can completely erase the turning process." Her expression seemed strange, with a small bit of insanity flashing across it, but only for a moment before it went back to normal and she frowned, letting her face fall.

"That is why I HAVE to kill him, to destroy any chance he has in this world or any others. Then I shall kill those infected beings he calls minions. Trust me, death will be merciful after what he has put them through." Again she shivered softly in fear, as if she knew from experience what was going on. And in a way, she did, but she didn't say it out loud.

Before she could say anything else however, the lights dimmed and he spoke again. "Thank you. I actually...I actually want to sleep if you don't mind. My body and mind is worn out. Is there a window in my room by any chance?"

He nods.

"X is unlike anything I've ever encountered before, but if you feel you can take him on..." He decides to let the subject go, shaking his head slightly. He knew when to stop.

"And also, we have state of the art conditioning. The window overlooks the great forest, it used to be were I worked until I needed a little more space. There is a little box in the corner from a project I was working on, but please do not touch it. It's not finished yet and quite unstable." he says with a little laugh.

"I shall see you on the morrow. It was very nice meeting you." as he takes a slight bow, then heads to his room with what was left with is tea, sitting the bags aside for the next day's journey. He was headed to the small city, to collect a few things to help Killa and him, so he needed to pack very lightly.

Her entire body shook only once again, memories and flashbacks echoing through her brain as Free turned away and began to head towards his room. "I do mean it though. Thank you for rescuing me. I didn't have enough strength neither mental nor physical to do it myself." She murmured almost unintelligibly before turning and following the direction of the small floating orbs.

Amaris was trying to wrap her head around it all as she got to the room, it made her head spin as she sat on the comfortable bed, the moonlight coming in through the window making it even more surreal.

"It can't be real. This has to be some sick way of him torturing me further. I'll break..." she was whimpering as she curled up into a fetal position on the bed, her eyes closing tightly as tears slipped out of them.

Thankfully the friendly shadows and the moonlight danced for her, surrounded her in that loving embrace, comforting her and reassuring her that she would be okay, that she was finally free of HIM. With those thoughts in her head, she easily fell asleep, her posture not relaxing for a moment.

Free leans against the door as it closes and stands there a moment. He thinks about what he read in the dusty, old tome before he rescued Amaris. He knew it was the right thing to do, as he followed his gut feeling. Even so, there was an uneasiness about her that ate at him, as if he had seen if somewhere before...

Shaking the thoughts from his brain, he cleared him mind. He knew what he must do, even if it meant someone else was going to get put in danger. She had willingly accepted her fate, she said so herself after all.

He removed his upper-garments and laid on the bed, thinking about the next day and all the things he had to get done. So far he managed to gather where another raid was supposed to be happening from earlier that day but he doubted that X would be there. The "thing" never showed unless it either had to do with Killa or turning a larger group anyway. Then there was another issue that bothered him... Either X was trying a new tactic, or someone somewhere made a choice to turn people their own way, which for the "Hopeless" was impossible. They followed X's every wish, his every command without fail. He was sure of it, it had to be some other entity. This just wasn't X's "Style". He'd have to do more investigating on his own later just to confirm it. Deciding to put the crazy thoughts out his brain, he decided to turn his mind elsewhere... He is homeworld... As he drifted off into sleep, and the ambient energy began to seep back into his body, he imagines the family he used to have...

She was beautiful...
her dark, brown hair twisted and bounced as she danced on the shimmering water, without so much as a ripple...
He reaches out to her but can't touch...
He tries again and she seems further away... Maybe if he called out to her?...
It was so hard to move... Like walking trough a veil... But he has to reach her...

A hand reaches up from the water... It's black and red, grabbing onto his ankle...
Everything was happening in slow motion, he could feel the hand grab him, it's grip ironclad like a behemoth...
The hand pulls him under, he can't shake free...
A dark form approaches, the red lines in his suit glowing...
He knew who it was, like so many times before... And felt fear.
The figure draws the other hand back, pulling Free in front of him...
Free could feel something, something in his chest... It didn't hurt, but kept him from breathing...
He could only hold his breath for so long, before panic started to settle in... He needed to escape! To get away!
It always happened this way. Even when he knew it, the panic still settled in eventually...
This feeling in his chest needed to go away, it was so hard to hold is breath...
He looked down and saw it. An ARM!
He tries to pull it, anything should work, and then he feels it's icy grip around his heart...
No... NO! It can't end like this...

Suddenly sitting up, he yells and begins throwing things off his bed! It takes him a minute to look around, realizing it was daylight and where he was. Free takes a moment, gripping at the tiny thing around his neck. His body, racked from battles long past shivers. He knew it happened again, the dream. It made him sick to his own stomach to admit it, but he had a problem. One that wouldn't soon be fixed, but there was noone to help him with it. Nobody, and that's just how it was.
Shaking his head, he gets up. It was time to go to work. The Multiverse wasn't going to save itself from this threat.

It was early morning outside, and as he finished showering and putting his usual cloak and grabbing the normal things he carried with him, he wondered if Lady Amaris was an early bird?

Things were floating in the air around her, directed purely by her hand and she was having fun with it. The ingredients she had summoned practically danced in front of her eyes, making her entire form seem to brighten. Though there was that center to her, the one part of her she chose to ignore. While her form brightened, that small little core inside her stayed the same, gray.

It was like X had created a hole in her that she couldn't fix, no matter how much magic she poured into it. 'Miiine~' A voice echoed in her head and she gulped, trying to ignore it. "Go away. You don't exist." She said out loud, still directing the food ingredients to cook themselves.

To keep that voice away as she usually did, she opened her mouth and began to sing. It was a haunting tune, once that echoed through the halls and seeped through every nook and cranny. Her voice was magical, it brightened some and dimmed others. All the robots paused, as if listening and entranced by her voice.

"I feel it's hands on me.
Constantly pulling me.
On and on. It haunts me when I sleep.
A burning longing dream. More and more.

War of the mind.
How can I deny,
Questions of faith,
Or a question of time?
There it is clearly, Written here for me.

Days go by, still I try.
To realize the journey haunting me a night.
Days go by, still I try,
to realize the journey haunting me a night.

The path lies open wide.
It's up to me to glide,
Through the maze.

I have the will to see,
My turn to break free.
Glorious.~

War of the mind.
How can I deny,
Questions of faith,
Or a question of time?~
There it is clearly, Written here for me.

Days go by, still I try,
To realize the journey haunting me a night.
Days go by, still I try,
To realize the journey haunting me a night.

And at the journeys end,
Then I will surely stand,
More victorious than I've ever been.

Days go by, still I try,
To realize the journey haunting me a night.
Days go by, still I try,
To realize the journey haunting me a night."

Her song echoed through the space, the cooking smell of breakfast following soon after. Meat, eggs, bread, all mixing together to make the most filling and energizing breakfast.

Free knocks on the door, wondering if she was ready yet.

"If you wish to come with me, now would be the time. I've already ate and the Robots have breakfast ready." he mentions knocking on the electronic door, unsure if she was accustomed to eating the same foods as he. Unfortunately he wasn't planning on having any guests, so the robots were only programmed to gather things from the nearby surrounding regions.

As he waits for her answer, he dusts the old cloak off that he always wore and attaches the wand to his belt and sits, ruffling his hair out of habit.
