Introduction
The year is now 2012, and in this city of Nerris, the was is raging harder than ever, with the climax soon arriving. The shape of the world will change according to the outcome of the war. The White Mages, users of creation, wish for all magic to be kept secret, to work from the shadows. The Black Mages, users of destruction, think it is their rightful place to rule over the common humans as superior beings. The war has been a stalemate thus far, as each magic is equal. Yet, it shall fall upon this generation of mages to rage this war for their respective beliefs, and to find Spell-Links to make pacts with to strengthen them.
This RP will be divided between two sides, White Mages and Black Mages. Creation magic consists of creating objects and using them as weapons, healing, and control of worldly things(physical objects, life, ect.). Destruction magic consists of elemental control, the control of unworldly things(space and time, death, ect.), and the breakdown of matter. Spell-Links do not use normal magic, but are granted a special ability based on their partner mage. Also, Spell-Links use special weapons unique to them, that they may summon at any time. When creating your character you may be either a mage or a Spell-Link. However, without a partner, a Spell-Link will have no power, and a mage will have little magical strength.
I will have an opening for 6 of each type, and number slots will correspond to the mage and Spell-Link.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 10 authors
As he approached the school he noticed a small group of people wearing black uniforms standing in front of him. He recognized them immediately. They were delinquents from a school across the city, and they had one purpose in being here.
"So ya finally show up, eh Satosha? We've been waiting for ya...You may of got us good last time, but today we're gonna beat the living shit outta ya." One of the delinquents said. Satosha sighed. It was almost every day, if not these guys then someone else, just trying to beat him up because he looked tough.
"I really don't feel like playing with you today. Why don't you go on home like good little boys." Satosha said waving his arm towards them. One of the delinquents growled and charged at him. Satosha backstepped and punched the boy in the chest with great strength, knocking him out instantly. The other two charged, and again missed and were quickly dispatched. After they were beaten black and blue, he stepped away, turning his head to look at them. "Quit coming to this school already. I'm sick and tired of kicking your assess day after day." He turned and walked though the school gates. He could see the students muttering and looking at him. He sighed, because he knew he was the target of their conversations. His everyday brawls gave him a bad reputation, so people generally avoided him, making him somewhat of a loner in the school. Satosha didn't really care about this, because once he left this city, none of this would really matter. But first, he had to finish school, and as such, go to class, which he was about to be late to...
She didn't know Satosha on a personal level, but felt he a similar vibe from him that matched her own, a vibe that expressed some form of loneliness. For that reason she watched him from afar and made sure he kept out of trouble. She turned and grabbed the handle to the front door, hearing the bell ring above her head she opened it and walked inside to quickly find her class room.
Wandering the halls she pulled out a map in her back pack circled in red ink which had an arrow pointing to a room on the map with the words, "Home Room" above it. Suzuki figured she needed to go there. As she passed by some students she got a few odd glances for wearing a rain coat on a sunny day. She ignored them though and continued to look for her home room without putting her stuff away in her locker. It was probably too late to do that and make it to home room on time.
He saw Suzuki and just glanced at her. He did the same to Satosha as he saw him seconds later.
He walked into the class and slouched into his seat. The teacher was doing role call. "Vladimir Scythus?" She asked. "Here. ...Unfortunately." He replied under his breath. "Hey! Look! The vampire kid made it!" One of his classmates taunted, followed by others laughing. Vlad simply just smirked and said, "Well, if I was a vampire, I definitely wouldn't drink from you. Too much drugs in the bloodstream. I could open up a pharmacy with all the crap in there!" glaring at him slightly. The kid just slouched down into his seat, grumbling.
"Settle down, class!" The teacher told them. "I would like to introduce a new student. He's from Germany. His name is Klaus Gemetzel and I hope you all make him feel welcome."
As she said that, a gaunt, sickly looking kid with black hair, an eyepatch, and what appeared to be a straightjacket slowly walked it. "Guten tag." He said.
The class snickered. "Hey, what's with the clothes, buddy? Did they have a sale at the insane asylum?!" One kid shouted out. "Well, I'd be careful if I were you. You're the idiot insulting a potential psychopath." Vlad sighed. Klaus glared at the kid that made the remark.
"Class! That's enough!" The teacher shouted. "Klaus, you can sit next to Vlad. He's the child with the white hair in the third row." She instructed him. Klaus silently made his way over to his desk, and sat down.
"I like your style, kid. Very gothic." Vlad chuckled. Klaus glared at him. "Thank you." He mumbled. "Don't let these shits bother you. They don't know any better. Their brains are too small to handle the information required for decency." He whispered to him. "I won't. They'll all be dead eventually." Klaus replied. Vlad laughed. "I like the way you think."
It was clear she had not had her morning coffee and was not happy with her students. That's what Suzuki thought as she stepped into the class room and headed for her seat at the back of the room. A lot of people were in the classroom already as she looked around, including Klaus and some new looking, odd guy.
Once she got there she sat down and began to pull out her books for the class she was now in. She did not look at Klaus or Vlad, who apparently had stood out before, but focused her attention to the front of the board. Her teacher was turned around, and writing on the board when a note passed under Suzuki's desk. She quickly grabbed it and unfolded it, "Stay away from the new kid," it read. She took a pencil from her bag and scribbled onto it. "Don't send me any more notes..." before passing it back in the direction it had come from. Suzuki looked back to the board and was glad to see the teacher had not noticed the note being passed around.
"Oh, yes, Suzuki. As I mentioned before, while you were busy goofing off in the hallways or something, we have a new student from Germany. Klaus Gemetzel." She sighed. The whole time she was speaking, Klaus was staring at her, silent, emotionless. One would have to have an amazing amount of courage to not be deeply disturbed by such a facial expression.
"You know what, Klaus? It appears I have to find my notes for today's lesson. Why don't you tell us more about yourself? What do your parents do for a living?" She asked, reaching for some cabinets. Klaus didn't even tense up. "I don't live with my parents anymore. They expired due to an unfortunate... Accident. I live with my uncle." He said, putting emphasis on the word "accident", as if he was just thought of a lie to cover up his past (which he did, but the students don't know that). Vlad's eyes widened and he let out a small cackle. He just found someone who had the same twisted sense of humor, if you could call it that, and morals that he did. He looked around the room and saw the shocked, disturbed and frightened faces of the other students, caused by the strange German's remark.
"Oh. I'm sorry." The teacher replied. "Here they are!" She exclaimed, as she picked up a group of papers held together by a staple.
Suzuki grabbed the hood of her jacket and pulled it over her head, "I'm done talking now, so I suppose that's that." She always felt it best to "help" incorporate the students in the classroom and push them towards getting to know other. This would keep them from interacting with her if they were more focused on being other people's friends. She didn't want people getting too close to her after what had occurred in her life. It was quite risky and the "Black Mage" group she felt could still me out there somewhere ready to kill her or anyone else she associated with.

The metal, fresh from its container, was cool to the touch but quickly took the heat from the hand that held it. An amalgamation of metals crushed into a perfect, discolored sphere was now mere seconds away from achieving its purpose. Having watched the possible partners walk into the building and immediately become irritated by their appearances and general attitudes made the original plan of recruiting one dissipate. The removal of equally lackluster mages from existence was simply a bonus, and one that was wholeheartedly welcomed, for the one that she did see enjoyed cackling like a moron. This moment would end the suffering of those around them, because who can honestly listen to a couple of clichés talking for such a long time without feeling some sort of frustration?
With the material in place and aimed at the side of the rather generic bricks of the building, the vibrations began as more and more energy was being collected and pour into such a small space. Roughly five kilograms launched from the woman's hands and sped towards the school, specifically in the area of the irritations' classroom. Some would die and some would live, but all of them would remember the moment when a metal ball crashed into their lives and tore apart the rooms they inhabited with the force one normally associates with a speeding Mack Truck. Much of the roof looked as though it had collapsed but the cloud of dust made it hard to tell.
The results were deemed relatively acceptable by the attacker's standards, and with that Karen turned her attention away from the broken structure more than a mile away from her and packed up her bag and redonned her coat. She pulled a small, prepaid cell phone from her coat pocket and pressed the only number she would use on the device. After two and a half rings of the generic ring tones available to such cheap objects, they stopped and only a listener could be heard from that end. "This group is also no good. They're annoying little brats and are most likely either crippled or dead at this point." A short mumble could be heard through the receiver before the call ended and the phone simply evaporated. The perpetrator left the office without much attention being given to a normally dressed business woman; apparently some sort of accident had occurred at a nearby school.
Renjou Shirogane, sole heir of the nearly extinct Shirogane-clan, the white mage who defend Magic Secrecy, the man who supposed to do good deeds, was lazing around on top of a tree branch while playing with pebbles, yeah, rocks. The rocks were currently spinning around mid air on his hand while the owner of the hand was almost falling asleep with boredom. He yawned and looked toward the school. From his position, he could observe anyone who used the main entrance plus the place was cool and often overlooked. In other word the tree was his favorite place.
Ren looked again toward his spinning pebbles and then to the oblivion kid who currently walking under the tree where he perched. A smirk bloomed on his face. He began whispering an incantation under his breath.
“二十二の橋梁 六十六の冠帯 足跡・遠雷・尖峰・回地・夜伏・雲海・蒼い隊列 太円に満ちて天を挺れはし, 黒白の羅”
(Nijūni no kyōryō, rokujūroku no kantai. Ashiato, enrai, senpō, kaichi, yafuku, unkai, aoi tairetsu. Taien ni michite ten o hashire, Kokubyaku no ami)
Only resulted with a burst of pain on his left shoulder. “Shit!” He reflexively grabbed his left shoulder but the sudden movement made him fall from the tree straight to the bush under it, head first. Ren had yelling profanities after his fall. His smirk turned to a pout.
He massaged his shoulder. The pain had lessened and now only a faint throbbing remained. “Yeah, yeah, no no-good plot toward good bloke, I know already.” He said as if he was talking to his left shoulder while removing leaves from his red hair. He looked toward the sky.
‘If the universe should end, I'll make sure mine would be the first. This wretched, false, and boring world.’
He shook his head. “What the hell am I thinking? Bet Sirsi would scold me again.” For lazing around that’s it.
But he was so bored. He just hoped some fun would happen in this too damn peaceful town like…for example a meteor shower or terrorist attack or heck even some alien discovery would be fine.
And something crashed toward the school which made a pretty big mess.
“HOLLY SHI…!?! Uh cow.” Well, like old folk said, be careful with what you wish for.
Okay, next time he would wished more frequently. With that in mind, he ran toward the school direction.
"Awesome! I feel like fifty times more powerful!" "As do I." Klaus replied. Then Vlad teleported outside.
"Well, no sign of anyone. It might be a black mage for all I know. But I don't really know any others besides myself." He muttered. He breathed in the fresh air. "Ah, no classes though." He laughed. "But I would've sensed it." Klaus replied. "I suspect the attacker, if there was one, would be very far away."
"Oh well. Go transform back, let's go see if the others made it out alive." Vlad chuckled, as Klaus turned into his human form.
"Damn it! Why here? What was the reason for attacking this school?" Satosha then thought to himself, then came up with an answer he found suitable. "I knew they were here...those people...I could sense them at this school. Is this just another one of their battles? Then that must mean they care little for the lives of innocents." He punched a wall in anger. Suddenly, he looked up as the ceiling began to collapse over a few students. Rushing forward he grabbed them and jumped out of the massive opening in the second floor of the school. Holding the two students up he landed on the ground with a hard thud. Some bushes below him broke his fall, yet a stray branch cut a gash in his left arm. Setting the students down he winced as he inspected the wound.
"Ugh, well it could of been worse." He looked up at the school. People were fleeing, thinking this to be a terrorist attack. Satosha clenched his fist. 'It was their fault...those damned mages. If not for them, this wouldn't have happened.' He thought to himself. He then ran again in the direction of the school to assist any who had trouble escaping.

Hal ran a hand through his finger in an attempt to calm himself down. He just didn't get it...really. Every single time before he tried to use his power, he always got extremely nervous liked he was about to commit crimes or something but when he was using his power, he didn't want to stop. No, in fact, when he was using his power, he felt like he was high on drug or something. The feeling...it was just...addictive. The young man sighed heavily and looked at his shaking fingers. Why? Why did he have to feel so nervous whenever he used his power even if he had used it hundreds times before?
Glancing at his left and right, Hal decided it was time to get over his nervousness. He needed to practice his power and he needed a target to do so. Taking a deep breath, Hal stood up and walked over to a nearby teenager girl. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he gave her one of his usual 'charming' smile and asked in a friendly tone "...excuse me, Miss...I'm lost...would you mind telling me where the White Corner street is?..." He kept her distracted while his hand worked its magic, making the girl fell for him. Hal took another deep breath as he felt the black magic filled his core with its usual coldness and dark intends and he smirked cruelly when the girl looked at him. Just by looking at the girl's eyes, Hal knew he had succeeded this time. The girl spoke, lust mixed with love made her voice rough and shaky "...I-I..." He placed a finger on her lips and spoke gently "...shh, dear...if you want to prove you love me, jump from this high building..." He smiled, a dark and twisted smile made him looked more like a devil than a young man. The girl wasn't even hesitant as she jumped down the building...to her death.
Hal looked at the scene with passive, cold eyes as people began to scream and the police arrived to the scene just minutes after. Once again, this was another big success. Now, where were the other Black Mages? He needed to meet them...Turning his head and looked at his Spell-link - Nicolas, Hal nodded his head and said simply "...let's go, Nico...we're leaving right now before the police decide to poke their noses into our business...I also need to find the other Black Mages..." He shrugged his shoulder and continued nonchalantly "...I think I have enough practice for one day..."
Klaus looked at him. "What about Fraulein Rhodes?" he asked plainly. Vlad tilted his head, thinking. "Suzuki? I mean, I guess she's nice and all, but she's too nice. It seems like she always wants everyone to be all Kumbaya with each other." He laughed. "Besides... The only friends I have are in jail. So, I have standards."
Then, Klaus looked to the side and saw a couple police cars. His eye widened. "I sense magic nearby." He muttered. "Oh, do you now? First metal balls crash into into school, and now police cars are crowded in one place. This place is finally getting interesting!" Vlad cackled. "Do you think the mage you sense is responsible for the incident at the school, too?" He asked. "I'm not sure. It is possible, however." Klaus replied.
"You know what? Screw everyone else. I'm gonna find me some answers!" Vlad said. "Fine. I will guide you." Klaus told him, as he transformed into his scythe form and Vlad began running towards the scene, hoping to catch up with the source of magical energy.

It was quiet moments like this that made her feel normal. Not that it was though. The surroundings for one... When her mom disappeared two years ago and the county found out, she had to put up a pretty big fight to be emancipated. It was decided that living in the city, instead of rural No Where, would make accessing resources easier. She liked the city. She liked being able to walk from one place to the next or simply grab a cab, but there were no open spaces like before. School was different too. Lots of people. Lots of curious people. It didn't take long, everyone was friendly enough. Not like back home, but she had Ren. She didn't really know why, but from day one he had been a friend to her. She had lots of 'friends'. Acquaintances that felt comfortable enough to open up to her, but only Ren saw who she really was inside. And even he only saw it in her week moments; when she couldn't keep it battened down any longer.
The smell was different in the city too. No fresh breezes to enjoy, but smog and car exhaust to fill the lunges. She took a deep breath. Wait a minute. She thought, sifting through the breath. Soot? It was hotter and different than usual. She rounded a corner and looked up. More suspicious lights. Like she had been seeing for weeks. Below the lights, her school was a wreck. At least the side she saw had a huge hole in it, with students fleeing or standing in awe. Her eyes were drawn to the side, where she saw Ren approaching the wreckage. Relief left her breathless. She had lost enough. Ren, though she tried to keep him at arms length, was there, always if she needed him. Something drew her to him... She shook her head, still confused about it. The confusion only got worse as she saw more of those wierd lights...
Suzuki woke up with a splitting head ache and pain shooting through her left rib cage. She grabbed it with her right arm and could feel that they were broken. She removed her hand and blood dripped down the bottom of her rain coat and onto her pants. She remembered she was on the second floor of her homeroom and looked around. There was dust and dirt everywhere. The entire room had suddenly "exploded" and yet she appeared to be the only one alive, if not conscious. She dragged herself to her the back walk of the room was past her old desk which has now a mangled heap of metal and shouted into the open sky.
"Hey is anyone done there? I'm stuck up here and can't get down. I'm injured too and I don't know-" she stopped and looked back at the room that lay behind her. How was she going to help anyone here at all? She had barely moved herself to the wall once and now felt like she had no energy left in her.
"Whoever did this..." she told herself, "Whether it be the Black Mages or not. They won't get away with this."
Nicholas Edwards
Nicholas, who had been watching his master work his black magic, answered, "Must we meet up with these so-called other Black Mages? I find it far more interesting to work with you on the city streets than a bunch of strangers sir." Nicholas curled his lips frowned. He had not liked the idea of going to work for other wizards, so he felt it was best to voice his opinion right now on the matter.
"I suppose that working with them is fine though as long as it ultimately helps you." He quickly added before walking over to the edge of the ledge the girl jumped off. He was used to watching his master kill people on whim and barely made out a crumpled body on the sidewalk twenty feet below. Nicholas glanced at his master and unsheathed his twin daos, "Should I make the girl's death look like the usual type of incident?" he asked coldly.
Nicholas was famous, thanks to his spell link powers, for having helped create an untraceable phantom killer who mutilated bodies and then left them frozen on the sidewalk for the police to find. He was able to make this legend a success no thanks to Master Hal who brainwashed his victims before death. It was something neither would ever have to confess to because their killing methods were beholden to magic.
"'Kay, gotcha!" Vlad said as he teleported to the end of the road. "Woah. I can teleport much farther now, thanks to you" He chuckled. "Thank you, Vlad, but I owe this to you. Without you, I would be powerless." Klaus said in an emotionless tone of voice.
Shortly after, they saw Nicholas and Hal. "We're here." Klaus growled. Vlad eyed the dead body. "Hey, you do this yourself? Nice, nice. But, it's a rather ugly sight. Leaving corpses lying around isn't that great for the environment, you know." He laughed, looking at Hal. He touched it, and black energy with a purple outline traveled from his hand onto the woman, turning her to dust. "Whoops." He chuckled. "I don't know who you are, but judging by the fact that my spell link here sensed magic from you, and there's a dead woman on the ground, it's safe to assume you're a black mage, right?" He said sarcastically. Klaus transformed into his human form yet again. His piercing gold eye stared straight into Nicholas'. Not a single word from him. Just silence, as he studied his fellow spell link with the twin swords. "And this must be your spell link. Strange, he appears to actually have weapons and not turn into one." Vladimir continued to break the silence. "Tell me, were you the one who destroyed the school a couple blocks away?"
"Damn, this is crazy! How could those bastards do something like this? This is just a school, and there were so many innocent people here. I suppose it doesn't matter to them when it comes down to it." He grunted and found his way to the stairs. The last place he would check would be ground zero, his classroom. When he arrived there he still found it hard to believe the scene. His classmates, which he say everyday, lay dead on the floor. Suddenly, he noticed movement, a girl leaned against the wall. He recognized her as Suzuki Rhodes, one of his classmates. He never had much interaction with her, so he only knew her from class. He approached her, then stopped. He could feel it, and he knew what it meant. This girl...was a mage. He shook with anger. It was people like her that had caused this. He was about to do something when he stopped. He could tell she was injured, meaning she probably did not cause the explosion, and even if she was a mage, she was still a girl. He sighed as he stepped over to her and picked her up, carrying her on his back.
"Hold on, mage girl." He said in a low tone. He then began to run down the hall, the building collapsing around him. He dodged falling debris. It was at this time he was glad his speed and reflexes were so well trained. As he reached the entrance of the school he jumped with all of his strength, hitting the ground outside, but holding Suzuki so that she wouldn't be hurt further. 'Why do I care if she gets hurt? She's a mage...Well, even so, she's still a girl, and I feel like she would try to do anything like this herself. Still, is it okay to let my guard down around her?' Setting her down, Satosha fell to the ground, exhausted. He looked over to her.
"Are you okay, mage girl?" He asked.

She made her way towards the exit, plying a bunch of bills on the counter without bothering to count them, knowing it was enough to cover her bill. If there was anything interesting going on, she might as well check it out. If one went beyond the petty sentiments of Nerris being her birthplace, the city was incredibly boring. Or rather, the entertainment it offered wasn't of any consequence to her.
And Miraze hated boredom.
At this point, she would almost even start something on her own to make things interesting - and that was saying a lot, since starting things wasn't really Miraze's way of doing things. But desperate times called for desperate measures, and all that jazz.
Just as she made her way to a street corner, something thunk-ed at her feet. Miraze leapt backwards, her hands going to the dagger at her thigh, ready to defend herself, before registering the sight before her,
A girl lay on the ground, bleeding and quite obviously dead.
Miraze looked up at the building she was standing under, the one the girl had apparently jumped from. Something told her this wasn't a mere suicide.
Well, something besides the fact that now that she was paying attention, she could sense swirls of magic emanating from above. And the girl's blissful expression.
Well, well. Things sure got interesting.
Miraze sighed, quickly navigating herself outside the circle of onlookers when sirens began to sound. On the one hand, she wanted to know who was giving off all this magical energy, but the police might decide to question her if she stayed here, and she wanted to check out what the other sound was, too.
At least I'm not bored anymore.
Suzuki was surprised to find herself escaping a collapsing building with such a strange looking man one minute she was in the worst condition in her life and the next she had some hope she would live thanks to his mere presence. When he asked "Are you okay mage girl?" all she had felt she knew about her life collapsed.
Tears began to stream down her and she said, "Why did this happen, I've just been trying to live my life a easily as possibly and now- now something I can't even understand and have never understood is ruining my life. I'm not a mage girl, so whatever makes you think I am just go away. Go away!"
Suzuki snapped and banged her fists against Satosha's chest. "I don't want you around. You ruined my life father!" Her fury towards Satosha and this haunting specter she realized that Satosha was somehow connected to the Black Mages.
"What the hell woman? Is that how you thank someone for saving your life?" He brushed the dirt off of his clothes. Looking down at the girl, she seemed like she was in denial about something. "You say you're not a mage? Too bad I'm not so easily tricked. I can sense these things, you know. I don't really know why, but I could always see these things that no one else could, like people using magic." He took on a stern look. "You claim to want a peaceful life, but its mages like you that make it impossible for people like me. Now tell me...who did this. You have to know. Are they an enemy of yours trying to strike?" He took a step closer.
"I will find out whoever did this, and make them pay. or die trying. I will not stand for those who chose to ruin others lives because of some stupid fight. Now, tell me!" Satosha demanded.
Suzuki quickly looked down at the ground and added, "I'm not a mage and I'll deny it with my dying breath because I believe an assassin's guild by the name "Black Mage" or a single individual killed someone I know."
She looked up at Satosha with a defiant glare and said, "You may have been in the same school as me, but it doesn't mean I have to tell you anymore than this since I barely know you." Suddenly she felt more pain throb through her rib cage and grabbed it with her hand in an attempt to stop the blood flow again, "Your accusations have really ticked me off, but at least I know you're a life saver, so if you would be kind enough to help me out here I'd be very grateful."
Hal smirked and looked at his spell-link "...who says anything about working with them, Nico?...I just want to test their powers as well as knowledge...If I deem them...useful enough for our cause..." He raised his hand and gave the older man a look before finishing his sentence "...it will be quite easy to get them on our side...better make friends than enemies, you know..." He shrugged his shoulder and said "...and you can do whatever you want with the body...I don't care...she's merely a test of my current power..."
He continued to walk and stopped abruptly when he heard someone said "Hey, you do this yourself? Nice, nice. But, it's a rather ugly sight. Leaving corpses lying around isn't that great for the environment, you know." He turned his head and raised an eyebrow at the teenager in front of him. 'oh, lookie lookie...what have we had here?...' He thought with a smirk. He chuckled, slightly amused at the tone the teenager was using. He didn't look scared at the thought of someone killing another one that easily. '...hmm...a brave one or a stupid one?...and how can he conclude that I'm the one who did it?...' He remained silent, waiting for the teen to continue but blinked in surprised when the teen just used his magic to dispose the dead woman. He shook his head. Young people...didn't know how to be careful. He cocked his head to one side, observed the teenager. He was rather young, about 16 -17 years old and his posture was just screaming:'I'm a rebellious teenager...come and get me!!!' Plus, he didn't seem to mind the fact that he was standing in front of a coldblooded murder, which was strange, even if he was indeed a black mage. '...ah, interesting indeed...' Hal thought with another chuckle. His eyes locked at the form of the teen's spell-link, one that could turn into a weapon...strange...
"And this must be your spell link. Strange, he appears to actually have weapons and not turn into one.Tell me, were you the one who destroyed the school a couple blocks away?" the boy said again and Hal's eyes focused on him. He shook his head and gave him a pleasant smile "...ah, no...we're not the ones who destroyed that school...I'm having a bigger purpose than going around and destroying schools randomly..." He offered his hand and said, the friendliness never left his voice "...I am Halbert Zador...it is a pleasure to meet with another Mage..." He looked at Nicolas and nodded his head "...Nico, be nice and introduce yourself, too...you don't want anyone to have any wrong ideas about our...hmm...friendliness, right?"
"I don't need to introduce myself because I don't believe working with this two is such a good idea. They're young and probably don't know half the things they need to know about using their magical powers. But I suppose if I must my name is Nicholas Edwards, "Not Nico, as my boss as called me."
Nicolas sheathed his swords, crossed his arms over his chest and waited for them to respond.
Klaus stepped back to be in line with Vlad. "Guten tag, I am Klaus Gemetzel." He said in a monotone voice.
As Nicholas made that psuedo-insult about them being too young to understand their powers, Vlad smirked at him, and the smirk turned into a chuckle, the chuckle into a laugh, laugh into cackle. He wiped a tear from his eye. "Now, now, my fellow white haired magic user. Don't be so quick to judge. Yes, you probably have had more practice than us, considering you're older, but don't assume we don't know how to kill, cause destruction and havok, threaten people, and all the other typical black mage shit. I was a thief before a mage, spent my time robbing people and evading the cops. Klaus probably has even more experience of being evil than I do, right? I mean, for crying out loud, he's wearing a freakin' straightjacket for God's sake." He laughed as he put his arm around his spell link. "Yes, my partner is correct. If you really want to know, I was wanted in Germany for killing people who abused me." Klaus said.
"Now, we probably shouldn't of told you all that, but we were just talking about our pasts. You don't need to know our powers yet, although I suppose I kinda broke that rule, considering I vaporized what used to be a woman over there. But, that's only one of my abilities, and you haven't even seen Klaus' yet." He chuckled.
"Though, I suppose I shouldn't have than- I mean blamed you for the giant metal ball crashing into our school. Between that and you making this girl commit suicide, this town is finally getting interesting." He laughed.
"I don't really care much about what kinds of powers you have other than the fact that you insulted me just this once. Well, actually, that's not 100% true, but just don't go trying to disintegrate me or Master Zador. You wouldn't get very far." he warned Vlad.
A stern frown came across Nicholas's face and he looked to Halbert. "Master Zador, if we have our introductions done with what are we supposed to do now that we've come across these two mages you so badly wanted to meet? There must be a reason we have gathered."

I've played this one on kongregate, or the game this role play's based on I think and if it's the one where you're the mage trying to enter the tournament to unite all the magic clans I'm up for it.

Okay. I'm happy to take on this concept and start it up as a new thread, (that's the only way we can really recruit new people) but I wanted to see what other people thought of this and to ask about some background ideas first. One of the problems we've been having so far is that the mages don't really have a true source of conflict. And no rp thrives without conflict. There aren't leaders of the mages, nor are there any real reasons to fight other than tradition.
I have a few ideas about that, but I wondered what you guys thought as well!

I didn't realise Azure had mentioned being busy. Since we've lost a lot of people, it's probably going to be a good idea to go recruiting again but I'd rather Azure did that than any of us since it's his rp and I think recruiting for new players in his absence would be way too much taking over.
