Story and Intro

There is a school for humans and wizards/witches.. But no school for the Supernatural. Angels, Demons, Vampires, Werewolves and such that are turned or born, they are just expected to learn it all on there own, but no more. Saint Vladimir's Academy is open newborns and fledglings may apply. Taught by the truly gifted, elders with centuries of experience. Saint Vladimir's was originally a Catholic School hidden high in the Rockie's far from human contact and their sins. A child born of Darkness mostly called demonic was brought to the Academy which then it wasn't Saint Vlad's then it was Joseph's Cathedral Academy a private school for only the most richest religious nuts, who wanted to make sure they were paying the very best for their little Jenny or tiny Timmy. The child was a gifted one and quickly was ranked as smart student with a bright future until the day of no sun. On the day of an eclipse the demon blood that coursed through out the child's body transformed him into a demonic beast and sent him on a bloody and gory killing spree no one survived and the child was no were to be found. So the three century old castle was shut down and deemed haunted by the damned. The child came back years later a full grown man. And with his cold eyes he looked upon the establishment the place where all his dreams didn't seem so far away.

Image

And on that day of return he made a vowel to help the supernatural world so that no child with a dark or benevolent gift would be turned away and would know how to react when their time of change truly mattered and came. It took him nearly a century as he worked by himself to build the place back up to what it used to be and more. Finally at the age of 238 the man stood proudly on the stairs in the cloudy day light supported by his cane and opened the doors to all the supernatural children in the world below. The academy was named St. Vladimir's after the man who brought it from the darkness and put it into his life. That old Demon only lived for a century more and then passed on buried in a tomb deep under the school. Deemed a Saint by the supernatural community.

You may have two characters top.

Supernatural Species List

(I'm only putting down important pros and cons.. the only creature that doesn't stay normal under any circumstances are Vampires, they are weakened by the sun, they may walk in it but their super senses and what not are not as sharp. Same as Werewolves on nights of no moon, or during Twilight be it morning or evening.)

Demons- Weakened by Moonlight, Empowered by Eclipses.
Angels- Weakened by Moonlight, Empowered by Solar Eclipses.
Fallen Angel- The down but not out.
Vampires- Weakened by the Sun, Empowered by Darkness.
Werewolves- Empowered by the full moon.
Dhamphirs- Empowered by Darkness.
Succubus/Incubus- Looking into a Mirror could be the end to such a creature... Beauty divine is deadly.
Elves- Smart, Fleet footed peoples of the forest.
Fairies/Pixies- Magically mischievous little creatures.
Elementals- All have a weakness that cancels another element out.
Ghosts- Terrible Janitors.. but great teachers.
Ogres- Not all are ugly.. but they are terrible tempered brutes.
Dragonics- If you can turn into a dragon or are a dragon this is you chief.

Rules of the Species

All will have at least one Divine Power
No you can not be the spawn of Satan
My Vampires don't sparkle and the werewolves aren't giant pansies
Don't make your Divine power something that your species couldn't possibly handle.. No Vampires with the power to harness Fire.. it's just not there.
All can die.. all have weaknesses
It is a school atmosphere this is for new born creatures gaining the ropes most are young I'll take a few older ones here and there
Drama bring the Drama pools of Drama
And when it comes to relationships, I don't want to see any Pixies falling head over heels for a ghost.. you do not possess the power to bring them back.

Okay I'm done bitching now for the Chara Sheets.

Name:
Age: (14-22 I don't want know child vampires.. none.. so keep the chibi's away from this rp)
Species:
Gender/Sexuality:
DP: (Divine Power)
Weapon: (I'd imagine that in a special school for unique and gifted creatures that there would be a class on protecting yourself from douche humans)
History: (I will not ask for a personality.. because I want it to be a mystery since a lot of people put Mysterious in their Personalities... Just a quick paragraph of your past and how you came to be)
Appearance: (Preferably Anime.. but you could use words to describe)

Alright... if you've read that all and actually filled out a chara sheet then pat yourself on the back and say lets get this party started in the OOC.

It felt like her heart was slowing down. It felt like something was telling her to give up, to let go. There was no sense in fighting it anymore. She would be taken care of. Chouko would live and Yumiko would be there with her.
Yumiko moved her eyes up again, to see the boy who'd spoken to her mind. He was with it. The mindless thing that would kill an innocent faerie without thinking twice. A sad, poor little faerie girl who was only dancing with fallen leaves and singing their favorite tribal song. The boy, Kein'Vei was moving toward her, he was almost to her when everything suddenly turned to light. A wave of sunlight overcame the room and spilled out into the hallway toward the elf and the boy.
Her breathing stopped. She tried to inhale but nothing came of it. Yumiko gasped and fought for a breath, but the light took her over. The shadow tugged at her chest and she clenched at it, trying to keep from leaving. The faerie woman knew that if she let it go, all would be lost. But she couldn't breathe. Still gasping, Yumiko looked down and saw the wretched black shadows surrounding her hand, keeping it pinned to her heart. It was fighting. But what?
Chouko screamed out in pain as she lay on the forest floor. The screams wracked at Yumiko's brain. They were high pitched, evil, hateful screams and they echoed through her mind. After seconds of this excruciating pain, Yumiko joined in the solo of anger. Her fingernails dug into her flesh, breaking through the simple white frock she wore. Tiny spots of blood seeped through it. But this pain, this real pain was better than the searing note of her little sister's cries. Yumiko couldn't stop herself. She just kept screaming and squeezing at her chest.
She could feel the light beginning to fade, and something let go of her hand. Looking down, Yumiko watched as the shadow began to disappear. The screaming had stopped, both Chouko's and her own. Her chest heaved as she drew in a breath so deep she thought she could breathe in the very life of the earth under the building. The light was fading fast and her vision was blurring the place around her. Dropping her head down, she let her hands fall to the floor, holding up her sweating, torn body. She gasped for air, taking in every single bit of it she could muster. Sweat was pouring down her face and all she could think of was that horrible, evil scream and her sister's shadowed eyes.

Underneath the armor, Teryl's flesh and skin began to break down, turning into dust. With all light vacated from his body trying to help Yumiko with her problem, there was no more to preserve his body. The flesh soon turned to dust and began seeping through the cracks in his armor. In a matter of minutes, the once vibrant angel was a pile of bones in an armored suit. His wings began to curl up and covered his entire body, their feathers covering every part of his body. As soon as the draping wings covered his entire body, they slowly began to change.
From the softness of the feathers, they soon began to turn rock hard, hiding him in a rock cocoon. The winged cocoon was heavy, rock hard and indestructible. His body was now cold, quiet, and still.

Saline watched the light in awe, it washed over and she felt something strangely pleasant but the howls and screams disconcerted her. She heard a scream near by and felt a rush of physical pain. Gasping for air she rushed into the room to see Kien'Vei collapse, Yumiko scream and Teryl turn to dust. "TERYL!" She shrieked, running over to his remains and placing her hands on his wings, "Teryl, no! No! What's happening!" she began to cry in earnest, she had never really had a friend before and it crushed her to see this. She lowered her head, tears dripping onto his stone wings, her long hair veiling her grief, segregating her from the others in the room.

The little faerie shook everywhere, but gained a little strength and looked up, watching the elf run past her screaming Teryl's. name. The sight of an elf used to make her sick with rage and pain, but right now all she felt was... relief. Her body was weak, her skin graying with fatigue. She couldn't hear Chouko's laughter in her mind anymore. And this elf was screaming Teryl's name. Was that fear? No... it was pain. Yumiko knew that emotion well. She'd called out to her dying sister the same way.
Shaking everywhere, Yumiko stood up slowly, and turned to see the stone cocoon. The elf was bent over it, crying onto it, her tears streaking the gray rock with black. What was that? Those wings seemed familiar, and something tugged at her heart, telling her what it was, but her mind was so blurry she couldn't put her mouth to use. Slowly, warily, she walked toward the stone. Kein'Vei knelt there. He had been kind to her; as kind as Teryl had been. A gentle voice in her mind. Yumiko smiled weakly as she thought of Teryl.
Teryl... Her pale eyes moved back to the wings. Her fingers brushed over the cold stone.
"No." She whispered. "No no no... No, it can't be." Both hands touched the stone, running over the hills and crevices of what should have been thick, soft feathers full of life and light. Yumiko knew they should be warm, not chilled like that. She searched Kein'Vei and the elf''s face.
"What has happened? Where is Teryl?" Her voice no longer sounded like her own. It was deep, trembling violently, exiting from the gut of fear. All she could remember was light. Her sister screaming, full of rage. Then relief. A sudden weight lifted from her shoulders. Teryl had been just behind her, protecting her, just as he'd promised. Yumiko had failed at hers. She was supposed to protect him to, in whatever way she could.
"No!" She shook her head and looked back at the others. "This is not him! Where is Teryl?" Her fingernails dug into the stone, feeling its harshness all over her.

Saline looked up at Yumiko with a tear streaked face, "This is Teryl," she said in a choking tone, resting her head where his heart would be but heard nothing. She shuddered at the coldness. "This isn't right," she murmured. Standing up she grabbed the tips of the stone wings and began to heave the body out of the room towards the balcony. His body was too cold to be that of an angel and she thought it was only right to have his remains stand proudly in the sun. Heaving with all her might she moved the stone inch by grating inch towards the balcony at the end of the hall.

Yumiko shook her head at the elf's reply. "No!" She stood up and tried to push her out of the way, to stop her from taking him away. "Stop!" She begged and fell onto him. "Stop! I can fix this! Just... wait, please!" Her tears were all gone, but her desperation, her failure, her agony at what had happened all sounded through her voice.
Yumiko knew she could help. The monster was gone. That's what had been released from her. Chouko, once loving and full of grace, had been haunting her soul all these years, and was thriving there inside her. If Teryl had taken the darkness from her soul... that left the one thing Yumiko had been born to. Light. But it had been so long since she'd tried to manipulate the sunlight, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to do it.
Teryl had done this to himself to save her soul. He'd turned himself to dust and ash and stone, so Yumiko could feel the light one more time. Reaching up, she grabbed the elf's hand hard in her own and looked up at her, pleading with brilliant blue eyes.
"Please, please," her voice cracked. "Let me try."

Everything dropped out of Kein'Vei as he felt Teryl's mind slip away into non-existance. He looked down on empty shell and solidifying wings, unable to act or think, only to watch feeling emptiness in the room. He had seen death before, a rough life had brought that to him. Yet he had never seen someone he had known and befriended in a way, die in such a way. He froze, dead to the world as he stared at the stone cocoon, eyes pained and confused. The Silenced One was lost to the anguish of the others around. Teryl was the one who had filled in the missing piece of the puzzle that was the deformed teenager's life. Slowly he returned to the world, the emotions and thoughts of those around him penetrating his unguarded mind. The sadness and desperation filling the place coupled with Kein's own sorrow. Tears dripped down from his eyes. The first tears that the hardened child had shed for over ten years. He welcomed the dampness along his cheeks, attention fully restored to the world. He placed a hand on Yumiko's shoulder, a comfort to the distraught fairy. His eyes filled with pity and sorrow.

Saline shook her head, tears rolling down her cheeks, "I ... just.... need to do this," she gasped, continuing to heave the stone statue outwards. She glared at Kein'Vei, as she continued to struggle, "You could help you know, instead of crying," she said between breaths. She looked at the fairy then, "I don't know what happened but you better just stop, I am going to get him out on the balcony then you can do whatever the hell you want but not until I'm done, now get off him! It's hard enough carrying a bloody stone statue," she said dangerously, her eyes glinting with the threat and she could feel the vines on the walls twitch anxiously at the idea of strangling a victim, despite how small. It is rather surprising how blood thirsty plants could be.

Closing her eyes, Saline continued to drag the statue inch by grueling inch toward the balcony, intent on her goal.

Yumiko sat back on her haunches, utterly defeated. Why were Elves so awful? Why so horrible to her kind?

Why had they killed her?

Heat rose up into her neck. Yumiko could feel something strong boiling inside her that she hadn't felt in years. It was familiar and deep. Her power had been locked away, hidden by the shadow of Chouko's death, that she'd completely forgotten what it felt like. The heat seemed to pour out of her fingers and toes and her eyes glimmered. She stood up, tears starting to fall over her eyelashes. Little drops of sunlight dipping on the stone that had encased poor Teryl.

"Please," she whispered, her voice echoes of the trees and flowers, "please, Elf, let me try." But it had been so long. Yumiko knew the only reason this was happening was the anger, the sorrow, and the hopelessness building inside her. The light within her couldn't be stopped nor controlled. She needed help, but she didn't know from where. Would anyone be hurt? What did her power, at this kind of potential, hold? The light kept dripping out of her eyes, off her fingernails and trickled down her body pooling onto the ground. It was all glitter and gold as it snake and slithered toward Teryl.

"I can't..." She gasped as she fell to her knees. "I don't think I..." Her words never finished as she fell forward onto the statue. It was like watching something filled with gold water be thrown upon a wall. Yumiko disappeared in a current of sunlight that fell onto Teryl and the Elf trying to pull him away. It was warm and sizzled across the stone that was stained with tears from both the Faerie and the Elf.

The gold water began to sizzle on the stone. It was as if it were acidic, but it was far from it. The statue began to grow bright, replacing it's grainy, stone texture into the smoothness of his wings. The cement like product began to crack away as the light got brighter and brighter, lighting the whole room once more with the searing, holy light. Teryl could feel his muscles start to fill the gap in between the emptiness in the hard, armored shell he had on. The dust blew away and slowly, a new body started forming inside, filling the crevices underneath the wings.

Teryl opened his eyes and jumped up in the room, releasing his now straight and vibrant pure white wings. He stared down at the room and withdrew his sword, ready to kill. This was normal for him. He was trained to always think he was under attack, so his first instinct was to attack. The light was still shining brightly, his armor heralding the holy cleansing. Yumiko's light prowess gave him his full dosage of light and then some, making him strong and nimble.

He raised an eyebrow after seeing Saline and Kein'Vei, remembering what happened before and putting his sword away. He floated back down towards the floor and began brushing off the dust on his suit of armor. "Huh, I'm guessing it must be morning?" He asked and looked over at the door, but still seeing the moon. Now he was confused... without the suns light, how did he come out of his comatose state? That's when he realized the new addition of Saline. "Oh... uh..." Teryl began to rub his helmet, trying to remember, "S-Saline? It's Saline right?" He hadn't seen her for awhile and had almost forgotten she was still in the school due to all the chaotic events. "And Kein'Vei, what are you doing here?" It was then he began to look around, "And where did Yumiko go?" Teryl was shrouded in confusion, unable to understand what just went on.

Kein'vei was silent in response to Saline, he didn't understand it all himself. His hand was still on the faerie's shoulder as she begged with the elf. He too looked at Saline with pleading eyes, unwanted tears still forming in his eyes "Give her a chance." He said as he began feeling the power that he was so recently empowered with draining out of him. He looked down in surprise at the kneeling figure of Yumiko, she was draining him of all Teryl's power he had absorbed. He let her, as he watched in amazement as golden, liquid light flowed from her. Begging that whatever she was trying to do would work.

As quick as it had started Yumiko dropped, surprising the now weaker Kein'vei. He dropped to his knees and tried to catch her falling body it struck the angel's stone sarcophagus. Light flourished, much like it did earlier, except the impact of the magical liquid gold thrust Kien'vei back. He struggled to his feet and turned his attention to the sizzling stone. Watching in wonder as the grey material seemed to absorb Yumiko's light, glowing and cracking the rock. He stepped back, looking around for Yumiko, she was nowhere yet the Silenced One could feel her presence. He stumbled back as Teryl seemed to explode from his imprisonment. The angel floated in the air, sword drawn in very much a majestic manner. As he descended and returned the sword Teryl spoke, sounding confused. Kein'vei stared, relief filling him as Teryl finished his array of questions. He stepped forward and clasped the angel on his armour plated shoulder "We thought you were dead." He projected telepathically. "Yumiko, she..." He hesitated in puzzlement, turning around and looking to where he felt Yumiko's mind. Motes of the faerie's golden light seemed to float suspended in the air across the roof of the room. "She is here," Kein continued "I can feel her mind but..." He paused again, unable to complete his answer. He didn't know what had happened, only could guess with little knowledge.

Saline flinched as the light spilled over them, dropping Teryl and watching in awe as he came back to life, "Nothing, I must go," she murmured to Teryl's queries, her eyes flashing darkly. She backed away slowly, shaking her tears already gone from her blue skin, her expression stoic as she continued to back away from the scene. When she was at least ten metres away, she turned and rushed down the stairs, running swiftly towards her room.

When she arrived she saw the vines rear in agitation and relax once more as they saw her. She moved silently over to her bed and slowly opened her right hand, which had been clenched. The skin was blistered and raw, touching it gingerly, she snarled in pain. The light had touched her hand and she had felt seering pain.

She was so calm. Her face felt like it was covered by a warm, plush blanket. With her eyes closed, she could still see the light shining through her eyelids and she wanted to look, but the blanket would not move. What was this beautiful feeling? Where was she? Where had everyone gone? The last thing Yumiko could remember was Teryl...

Oh no... She hadn't saved him. Something awful had happened and she'd failed. The warmth did nothing to stop her frown and tears slid over her pale cheeks. The weight of Kein'Vei's hand was still on her shoulder. There was something about that feeling that kept her close to the world she had just left. Was she supposed to go back? How could she face them? She'd failed miserably.

And this warmth... No one of a sane mind would leave behind such light. It wrapped around her like a mother's hug and she felt safe here.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

There you go. I think I've got a lifeline in there, if you feel like taking it.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Strange really... I wish women I just met would act like this in the real world.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Lol! Sure is interesting. I think I may have killed Yumiko... not sure yet though. It depends on what others might do.

...O_O I really didn't think any other way was possible... Had to do something since she's a friggin' wreck.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

You can join, You still have to wait for the GMs acceptance of your character and doesn't seem to be constantly on so don't expect an immediate response. I'll wait until Yumiko replies to write. This looks like it'll be interesting.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

It should be... but I'm not GM.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Sorry D: I've been crazy busy lately!!!!
Shall reply now

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

I have been waiting for Saline to respond to Yumiko for FOREVER. I have no clue where she went....

I'd hate to just keep going without having her character's reaction, since the relationship between Saline and Teryl seems close. -shrug- I'm a stickler for crazies like that.

Where'd she goooo????

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Is this dead, or what's going on here?

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

I am going into withdrawals....
-froth, seize-

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

No not all headmasters actually like their students Arie's got stuck with the job he didn't ask for it but he feels he owes it to old man Vlad.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

AAAHHH!! DEATH AND DESTRUCTION!!!!
Cool. Lemme get Yumiko out first. I like her, and really don't want her killed off....

But that's really not gonna happen right? -fear-... I mean... I've got some good shit goin' on with dementedsoul20 here. -super fear- Don't make us start over somewhere else... -sniff-
I would be sad. :/

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

haha nice Adrian, aren't head masters meant to value the life of each and every student or some jazz like that? :P

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Go for it I don't give a damn blow it all up whoooooo destruction.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

I've been here five months or so, and I still don't have a clue how most of the stuff works, but when in doubt, trial and error.

Also, I warned you about this Adrian! Theoretically if Moth can eliminate air resistance, he can keep using gravity and his own powers to constantly accelerate to the point where he reaches relativistic speeds.

In short, that means he can travel forward in time. And god help us all of he hits something, traveling at such extreme speeds he could impact with the force of a nuclear warhead.

Wee combining physics and magical powers to hilarious unintended results. I think I might introduce another air elemental character, possibly the one who sent him to St. Vladimir's in the first place, just someone to keep him from killing us all unintentionally.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Hahaha, okay! Thanks! I'm still getting used to the set up of this forum. :/

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

Your best bet is to not worry about it.

In fact, that goes for pretty much everything.

Re: [OOC] St. Vladimir's Academy

GAH! I edited a post and it reposted into the wrong section. :S What do I do?? It wasn't a huge edit, so I don't care about that... but its interrupting the other posts in Academy Grounds.
